Tea-Do (Boston Chinatown)

First time visiting. Location was pretty easy to find. They have some sitting inside & excellent music choices playing which was nice. I ordered the taro smoothie & my friend got the Thai tea which both were mediocre at best. I wish the customer service was better. I understand it was 10 minutes before closing time but the customers still coming deserve good attention & care.I recommend for first time visitors but I will not return.

The place is nice. People are very friendly and fast in service. They even have games you can play with friends. However we order their special tropical twist which is a combination of mango, pineapples and lychee jelly. The drink was very diluted and watery. But we saw other people ordering milk based tea and those looked great. Maybe its our wrong choice.

The boba pearls were awesome and chewy. Busy even past 10pm. Wasn’t impressed with the taro tea base but then again I ordered 30% sugar so I’m probably in the wrong lol. I was happier with the milk tea at 30% sugar, much better.

First time here and it was very delicious. Boba was soft and chewy and my entire milk tea was just the right amount of sweet.

I usually enjoy Teado and have never had problems before, but today I was really disappointed. While drinking my order, I ended up sucking up a piece of plastic from the cup/straw/tea. This was concerning and definitely not something I expected. I hope the store takes this seriously and improves quality control, because this could have been dangerous.

I ordered Uber Eats. Had not eat all day and was in the mood for a few Kenshin onigiri. By the time I opened my second one and had about three bites I found a hair in my onigiri and my whole appetite went out the window. I have a 5 star to the service because the store manager called me back and offered a refund through the Uber Eats or even a gift card to the store but I personally don’t have time in my schedule to step out and grab it etc. It was very kind and thoughtful. Thank you!

Good boba good healthy and unique drinks. It dont matter what time i walk in either middle of a Wednesday or on a Saturday night, always crowded with asians. Come if u a love balls inside u

Hadn’t been here in quite a while and decided to stop in for a drink. They had on a banging playlist of early 90s rock. Usually bubble tea shops are playing pop tracks, and dance music. I’m not in the club! Asked the cashier who decided the playlist, but she didn’t look like the music type, then the girl making the drinks came over to tell me it was her. Whoever you were, you rock! Thanks for the good tunes while you prepared a delicious coconut milk tea for me. Perfect on this unseasonably warm October day.

The Tea is average, but the Onigiri is EVERYTHING Parking is rough, you really can't find decent parking without a struggle. To be expected in the city of Boston. The service is ok! You order your food at a kiosk and it has less to do with your servers and your experience is through an iPad. After ordering your food you wait until they call your name/number and that is all. They have the basic selection of boba/tea, but they pop off and stick out differently with their Onigiri O.M.G. My favorite is the Avocado, but I've tried a few others like the Spam. I now go religiously almost every week and I'm the biggest fan. As for the restaurants interior design. It's cute but compact, which makes for it to be ALWAYS busy. For a small shop it does amazing for yourself, and you can tell the people who go there appreciate the work this restaurant does. Again I highly recommend, prepare for parking and possibly nowhere to sit but you should visit!

Tea Do-Boston was the first and only location in MA for a pretty long time, with the chain originating in Philly. Now there's a couple locations, two in Cambridge & one in Lowell ;) I like going to Tea Do whenever I'm craving boba late night; this one closes the latest (11pm Sun-Thurs & 12am FriSat). I usually get an avocado smoothie, Thai tea with lychee jelly, or double black tea with boba. Now, they have self order tablets, like most boba spots. Love that.

Located in Boston Chinatown. Wanted to try a boba place that I have not been. The place was crowded with people, so my family and I figured we would give it a try. The pricing is reasonable and the boba was chewy. We came twice while in town this week. If you are looking for a descent price boba drinks here, try this place.

I am often in the area several times a week for work and have tried almost every boba place in the Boston area. This happens to be one of my favorites because the boba is always cooked well, service is quick, and the milk tea is light and delicate. I always get the Iced Almond Milk tea with boba and lychee jelly. It has a refreshing light nutty flavor. I come to the Chinatown Tea-Do location so I can grab a boba drink, grab dinner at an authentic Chinese restaurant, and then grab homemade pasties before heading back to my hotel. The area can be tough with congested traffic especially if you are from out of town like me but keep in mind you are in downtown Chinatown. You can walk around and knock out multiple different restaurants in one trip with so many dining/dessert options in this Chinatown area. There is a self ordering kiosk inside and a nice seating area with board games like checkers while you wait. Being in a very busy area in downtown Chinatown you will need to either pay for parking in a private lot or street park. I usually get lucky with street parking and walk my way over.

I used to frequent Tea Do quite a bit, back in the day. It was my go-to layover treat whenever I was waiting for a train at South Station. It's a close enough walk from the station - Just a hop over a few streets & you're there. I had no idea, back then, how much of a privilege it was to just walk over, walk in, & walk out. Parking in Chinatown is essentially non-existent. A slightly dramatic reenactment of our Tea Do experience: I basically tucked & rolled out of the passenger side of the car. My partner did approximately 17 laps around the block while I battled my way into Tea Do. After patiently waiting for the goods, we reconvened outside on the street corner. I reverse tucked & rolled back into the car with two boba teas in hand. It was certainly worth the detour & the dramatics. Tea Do does an excellent job with their freshly mixed milk tea - It's so flavorful but never too sweet. The boba was perfectly chewy. A master class in boba without the humongous price tag that so many tea shops partake in these days. It was $13 for 2 large teas at Tea Do. Not so bad. My suggestion for the Tea Do team - This joint needs a serious reorganization. When I said that I battled my way in to Tea Do, that really wasn't that dramatic of a reenactment. The shop was packed to the brim with people, all holding tickets & waiting. It was so bizarre, fighting my way through a crowd of people inside to walk directly up to the register & order. Everyone inside was just waiting for their order, not waiting TO order. It was madness! No organization whatsoever. No screen with the number currently being served. No line, no dedicated waiting area. The tables & chairs were pandemonium. I think it would alleviate a lot of stress - on both the workers & the customers - if there was an organization rehaul of the space. It's a tight spot, but it could definitely be made better.

Very good boba, the iPad ordering station doesn't offer much customization. Personable staff and easy to find. I'm picky about boba and they have a good variety-- fruit and milk tea, smoothies, some food and many add-ins. The space is small but has enough seats to sit down and enjoy your food and drink! Quiet enough to work but maybe not for all.

Located in Chinatown Tyler street, open until 12am most days. With so many boba tea options, tea do is usually consistent with nice flavor menu. Everyone has their go to but we like this one because of their hours so we'll stop in before heading home usually. You walk upstairs, can order on one of the two tablets, or at the register and take a seat play Jenga or the like while you wait. It usually comes out pretty quick. Note sometimes if you call in order they may not accept it if it's within the last hour being open, so you'll have to physically go in and order.

Tried the Lychee Pop and it was decent. Nothing out of this world but I think this place is worth a visit if you are in the area. Lots of options and ordering on tablet makes it very smooth.

I always come here when I want a fruity tea drink! I came after dinner and service is typically very fast even if there is a line. There is also plenty of seating if you want to stick around and just hang out with friends.

So my son had to try this place at the strong recommendation of one of his friends who stated that this is the best boba he's ever had. With such a big statement, we had to make a stop at Chinatown to try this place out. As soon as I ascended the stairs, I was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance of this place. Small and hip, with tables situated next to the window so that you can look at the busy street below as you sip your drink. It was a welcome refuge from the rain and hustle and bustle of Chinatown. I was quite impressed by their wide variety of boba drink offerings, some of which included aloe! That's new for me. But not feeling too bold and wanting some caffeine, I chose the Vietnamese coffee. Thankfully, this was strong but not overly strong. I was able to drink this easily because it wasn't too sweet either. I may try their other drinks next time, like the grasshopper with the green tea jelly. I must have overlooked this because they have so many flavors to choose from! Now is this the best boba ever? Not sure, alot of competition in the world out there!

There are A LOT of bubble tea places in Boston's Chinatown, and we hardly scratched the surface during our recent visit. However, out of what we tried, I think Tea-Do served up the best drinks. I ordered the Juliet two days in a row. So tasty with its rose and pomegranate syrup. The lychee jelly further adds to the floral flavor, but fear not - it does not devolve into tasting like perfume. It's just dainty and delicious.

Decent place, honestly has a far better flavor menu than Kung fu tea. One of my preferred Boba locations in boston Always get 1/4th sugar 1/4th ice

One of my new favorite Boba shops in the Boston area! Great location, it was so packed! Tea Do has so many boba options ranging from milk to fruit teas, with lots of customizations and toppings available! Chinatown is always a ton of fun. My girlfriend ordered her usual strawberry tea with 30% sugar, and I ordered the Juliet (pomegranate) tea with 30% and extra rocks. It was great! I would definitely go for a higher sugar content next time around- maybe 50% or 70% to offset the tart pomegranate flavor, but it was an amazingly refreshing drink nonetheless. We will be back soon!

Jasmine milk tea was fantastic. Flavor was bold and strong. I recommend 75% sweetness if you want lightly sweetened milk tea. 50% sugar tasted a little on the bland side. Service was okay. Lots of indoor seating available. The place was quite clean too.

Nice area to hang out with friends or to just grab a quick coffee or a snacks. They updated their menu so there's more updated selection and more food to choose from. It gets busy lunchtime, or on the weekend especially because it's in the middle of Chinatown and there's a lot of young people that hang out in there with their friends service can vary. Depends on how busy they are but there's a lot of employees.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy (despite how difficult it was to find park in Chinatown). I ordered my drinks on the machine and got them in less than 5 minutes. Service was quick and easy! My Mango green tea was great!

Boston boba visit 5 and Tea Do falls somewhere in the middle. They also have food, the onigiri being prepped particularly caught my eye. I've been noticing the sweetness of Boston boba seems to be higher than what I'm used to and that's no different here. Even at 30% sugar, it tastes like at least 70% or higher. However, ice adjustments do feel relevant here, thankfully. Assam Black Milk Tea with Boba - the Assam tea flavor does shine through the sweet, almost nutty flavor which raises the overall sweetness levels. It takes up most of the flavor but some milk prevents the drink from tasting too powerful. Boba was very soft and chewy almost overcooked alongside a sweet taste, so pretty decent.

It was really nice trying the avocado smoothie for the first time because I heard lots of positive things about it! Personally the drink is not for me because of how thick it is. I wasn't too impressed with the onigiri as well because the seaweed was pretty dry! I would definitely come back to try something else because I'm sure there are more tastier treats!

Love love love the combos here! Got the peach black tea and my friend got a peach something. I loved both, the flavor was strong and not too sweet! Plus you're not paying an arm and a leg for this bubble tea, very reasonably priced

Fast, efficient, clean, and no powdery after taste. Can't ask for much more from a boba place.

Tea Do is definitely a popular boba spot for great vibes and fun drinks! They also have jenga blocks and a few other games you can sit and play but I would say that its about time they replace those blocks because it is so dirty. *.Fresh Avocado Smoothie - 10/10 This place has the best avocado smoothie! I get this all the time and it never fails me! Great consistency and a nice avocado flavor. I also love how they stuff up the cup all the way to the top! *.Peach Rose / *.Strawberry Pop - 9/10 The fruit teas are the safest drink to get if you are not sure if you like boba or milk teas yet. It basically just take like juice. The fruit teas here are nothing special, they are the same as other places. They are green tea based with the flavoring syrup. But overall, great drinks for the price! Overall, they are a really popular spot so if you need a quick drink in and out you might have to sit in and wait a bit. Definitely stop by for boba and chill!

I really like their bubble tea. The milk teas are light and refreshing. You can ask for less sugar and I personally prefer it less sweet. I also really like their shrimp tempura onigiris! It comes out warm. They have a decent selection of onigiris and appetizers.

There are so many boba places in Chinatown and each one has its own vibe and speciality. Tea do is best for hanging with a small group of friends. It's usually bustling inside here. This is definitely a more basic kinda boba place along the lines of kungfu tea and gongcha. Can't go wrong with tea do. The pearls itself are not too sweet and is chewy. My go to drink here is the watermelon slush with lychee jelly in the summer. I think that's the must have drink that almost everyone gets here.

One of my go to boba places in Boston that never disappoints. I got the taro milk tea with mango pop boba and my friend got the Thai milk tea. Both were really good and the service is super quick. Plus they have good music every time I visit. Highly recommend!

The drink menu here is much more diverse than the other tea places in Chinatown I've seen! INTERIOR: just go up the steps and it's a cute little shop with a few bar stools and tables inside. Despite being busy, they're down with your drinks pretty quick DRINKS: my friend loved the tiger milk tea. I got the Hello Kitty which was a great fruit tea for the hot day, and tried the Almond Jasmine milk tea. Borderline too sweet, but a nice take on a jasmine tea. Great stop for your boba craving!

I got the Hulk it's made with Kiwi, green apple, lychee and jasmine tea with aloe. With ice and little sweet. It was good blend and not overly sweet. I enjoyed it! I also got Tropical Twister it's made with Mango, pineapple, passion fruit, jasmine tea and lychee jelly. This was great loved this blend even more! Mild sweet but great taste and very refreshing! Both drinks but love Tropical better! Definitely will try again and new one soon!

Tea Do is one of my favorite bubble tea places in Boston! For the price they charge, their portion sizes are extremely generous compared to other bubble tea stores. I ordered the black milk tea with pearls and it was about $6.50 for a large. The large was actually a huge amount, it was almost an XL to me haha. The workers at Tea Do were super friendly and nice. It is generally always quite busy and packed so most likely you'll have to wait at least 10 minutes. Other than that, I absolutely love tea do! It is located conveniently in the heart of Bostons chinatown and easily accessible by the T. Check it out if you're in the Boston area! Overall rating: 10/10!

So I'll admit that this rating is mostly based off of a specific scenario: me finding a place that makes one of my favorite drinks well! Back during college days, there was a different spot in Boston's Chinatown that made avocado smoothies (I was first introduced to this delicious combination then) and I was so disappointed when they closed! While finding myself in Boston recently, I was delighted to find that Tea Do made avocado smoothies! So excited in fact, that I went there soon after arriving to try it out. This is one of those things where I'll seek out different spots that offer it and sometimes even go out of my way to see if it lives up to my expectations (based on that first spot where I became a convert). And unfortunately, I've had my fair share of disappointments since it definitely takes a certain combination of ingredients to make it just right. Tea Do was clearly a winner with their avocado smoothie. I got it with boba (plus 50% sugar) and their boba is very soft and tasty too. It was so good that I went back and got a second one (with coconut jelly this time) before leaving Boston. The coconut jelly is fine though I would say the smoothie is better with boba (or just straight with no toppings). The smoothie itself was consistent and delicious. It seems like a fairly popular drink which surprised me a little bit (though once discovered it doesn't surprise me at all). The first night I went there, several people ahead of me ordered the drink too so it looks like it's not much of a secret. I'd highly recommend trying the avocado smoothie if you like avocados and haven't before. I'm sure Tea Do makes other lovely beverages but I'll definitely be ordering this drink anytime I'm traveling through! Get it and you won't look back!

Ducked into this place unintentionally because the windchill outside was frigid. Super glad we did! Best taro milk tea with crystal boba I have ever had! Just the right amount of sugar to ice to flavor, highlyyyyyy recommend! The girls behind the counter were very nice and the onigiri was delicious and beyond cute, a perfectly made seaweed wrapped sandwich.

A small smoothie with boba is now $8.30! There is no way in HELL I will return to this place and I'm "the duke" here on Yelp (I have the most check-ins). They have the nerve to have options for tips after they've overcharged you. HELL NO!

Really unique drink flavors! Got a mango pineapple smoothie with lychee jelly and it was SO refreshing! All the drinks were a hit with my group and I was impressed at how quickly our items were prepared despite the store being totally packed.

Visiting a friend in Boston, and we grabbed boba here after getting a meal nearby. A local recommended the place, but I was disappointed. I ordered a mango green tea, and truthfully I didn't really like the flavor of the tea. It was very mild and I expected a stronger kick to it, which brings me to the boba. The pearls were flavorless, soft, and didn't have the chewiness I was expecting. The tea:boba ratio was also off for me; I ran out of boba with about half of my tea left for the small size (you might have better luck with this if you get a large). The location is small with only a few tables that sat right next to the queue to order (so people are walking/standing pretty close to you when you sit down), and the music was loud, so I wouldn't recommend coming here if you want to fire up your laptop and work or have a comfortable convo with a friend. Overall, Tea-Do is a place where your boba itch will be scratched, but isn't the best place you can find in the area: tea, boba, or atmosphere-wise.

Stopped by on a Thursday night and this place was packed! The ambiance was upbeat and lively, but the place is on the smaller side so it may be difficult to find a seat when it's busy. There were 2 self-order kiosks that were super easy to navigate, and they had a great selection of milk teas, herbal & fruit teas, smoothies, and food. For how busy the place was, I was surprised that we got our drinks so quickly. Drinks ordered: - Oolong milk tea with boba -- watered down and lacked flavor, but at least the boba was chewy and sweet - Red sun with lychee jelly -- the strawberry and lychee flavors were so refreshing and sweet; would definitely order this again!

The drinks are consistently good and the boba is always chewy/great quality!! Staff is pretty friendly as well. It's one of my go-to spots in Chinatown for boba! Also, the music seems to always be a vibe if you're considering drinking there :)

First time trying Onigiri. The Shrimp Tempura Onigiri was savory and flavorful; it did not disappoint.

Taro boba was AMAZING. We also tried the passion fruit with lychee jelly. I love the vibe here too.

BEST place in Chinatown (Boston) for boba: You just know good boba when you taste it. Teado exceeds my expectations when it comes to quality. The pearls are chewy, soft, and sweet. Not overcooked nor hard - it's just right! My favorite drink of theirs would have to be the avocado smoothie - which they use REAL avocado. Using the actual fruit (yes, it's a fruit) provides silky smoothness when blended. The drink itself wasn't overly sweetened and it was quite thick - like a smoothie should be. A major turn-off of mine would be powered avocado smoothies. I'm just beyond happy Teado is one of the few locations that use the fresh ingredient. If only I lived closer, I would be a regular almost every day. But every time I come, the drink is always the same - and that positively says a lot. When you combine perfect pearls and a great drink, you make the best boba in Boston's Chinatown. That's you, Teado.

Tropical twister -this drink hit the spot. Fruity with fruit bits. Hints of passion fruit and tea. Jasmine milk tea -taste watered down and more milk than tea. The boba is good . Cool little spot in China town.

Convenient and fairly priced for a quick boba run. It's definitely not the best boba you can find in Boston but it'll definitely satisfy cravings without having to travel too far. Favorites include the honey jasmine tea with aloe and avocado smoothie. Their food (onigiri) is made to order and is surprisingly good as well. I would definitely come back to continue trying out new items!

There was so many boba teas place in Chinatown, making it difficult to pick. I ended up going here since they have higher ratings. I had their oolong milk tea with boba, and it's probably one of the worst boba teas I've tasted. It was so watery, lacking creaminess, and fragrant from the black tea. I don't think I've encountered this before. Even though I asked for 50% sweet, it's sweeter than I preferred. Bobas were overcooked, and some got stuck in the straw.

If you're coming here only for the tea, that would be a HUGE mistake!! The food is made to order here, and it shows. Everything comes out piping hot, it's just a shame you can't eat it right away without ruining your mouth. Onigiri - they're all delicious, wrapped just like they are in Japan to keep the nori crispy, and the sauce it comes with compliments it perfectly. I usually need 2 to feel full, but if I'm feeling extra hungry, go for 3 Takoyaki - I have burned every millimeter of my mouth on these and I have zero regrets. Great spread of toppings Chicken karaage - not the most life changing, but still hits the spot Gyu-don - might be my favorite order next to the onigiri. Very solid portion and so tasty, just not always available lately The drinks here are mostly okay, but certainly not the star of the show. Trust me, go for the food!! This is my go to spot for a quick lunch in between patients. I will be back over and over again!

Came here on a Thursday afternoon in the summer and it was empty, shockingly! I intended to order the beef gyu-don but they didn't have it so they suggested the chicken karaage. They told me it was a rice bowl with seaweed salad and when I got it, it was just chicken. I was already too far to say something/: It was good just disappointed I didn't get what I was told I was getting. I'm a fan of their drinks and food so I will be back.

Got the lychee pop 50% sugar and it was delicious! I almost walked by it, but the shop is very clean and cute inside

Teado is a bubble tea staple here in Boston's Chinatown. If you ever need a solid drink, this is the place to go. I usually get fruit teas here as I think they outshine their milk teas, but their taro and regular style are pretty good. I will say that I had a bad experience with the matcha once ( I could literally feel the powder ) so I wouldn't recommend that. Their drinks are pretty tasty and reasonably priced. Their toppings are always solid as well and I've never had poorly made bubbles so I think they're very consistent. Their onigiri is also pretty decent if you ever want a quick snack and it seems like they've expanded their menu to include more meal-like dishes so it seems like they're doing well. This place is always pretty full whenever I go and I won't stop coming back for more drinks and a good time!

My go to tea place, especially for the low sugar aloe jasmine tea combinations. Great variety of options.
