This was my first time to a tea room and I wasn't sure what to expect. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning, it felt like a garden Oasis. The service was excellent.. kind, friendly, patient, and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious as well. The desserts melted in my mouth, flavor combinations were paired beautifully, and I was stuffed halfway through the afternoon tea. Absolutely incredible experience and I will be making this a regular stop anytime I travel this direction.

This place is serving! The aesthetic gives Bridgerton. I felt like the restaurant came out of a little fairytale book!! I love the servers as well, so helpful and recommended tea and pastries and answered a million and one questions. Servers are patient and so welcoming that I would definitely come back! When I was there I saw people of all age groups, everyone is super respectful towards the setting of the place, no one was loud. Eating here felt super peaceful, the cucumber sandwiches were amazing… and paired with the signature rose black tea.. delightful!!!! I ordered the tea garden tray, some extra eclairs, and a small bag of tea (since I fell in love with the taste of the tea prepared for me)… all in all it was about $60 bucks or so. It’s a very light and refreshing afternoon snack. The ambience is what really sets the mood. There is street parking available and a parking garage super close, so parking is relatively easy to find. I think the garage structure next door charges like $15 for the day. It’s perfect for like a girls brunch, dates, or events.

⭐☆☆☆☆ First time visiting Tea Rose Garden. The place is very cute, and the aesthetic is definitely there. Food was just okay. Unfortunately, the table we were given was extremely small for the amount we ordered, it technically seats four, but realistically only works if you’re just having tea. We noticed a larger setup (two tables put together) right next to us that also seated four. After about 30 minutes, we politely asked the hostess if we could switch, but she declined without explanation. Instead, she brought us a small side table that really didn’t help. The frustrating part was that the table we requested remained unused the entire time we were there, and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy. The hostess (young, dark hair, glasses, light complexion) was the main reason this was our first and last visit. Poor service can really ruin an experience.

Lovely experience for afternoon tea! I recommend making reservations in advance, which can be done via phone call or online. I enjoyed the Afternoon Tea set which came with three choices of sandwiches, spring petal salad, choice of scone, assorted dessert bites, and choice of tea. I enjoyed the cranberry chicken, chicken almond, and cucumber sandwiches. They have many scone choices and the lemon raspberry scone was delicious! Scones are served with Devonshire cream, but it just tasted like a thick whipped cream. Their salad was good and the dessert bites were ok if not a bit small in size. I loved the lemon mango punch herbal tea, and they refill the pot as needed and even gave me a new tea bag. The service was friendly and efficient. Inside the building, it’s a bit noisy at times since the tables are rather close to each other, which is why I gave it four stars. Overall a nice experience and I’m glad they are still open! They have a great business plan and are quite successful, as well as having a florist shop.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Wasn't too fond of the spicy salmon sandwich so they easily replaced it for me. Signature Tea Rose Herbal Tea was fantastic.

Not a great tea house, smelled weird and the vibe was not wow. One time experience is cool!

Cute spot for afternoon tea set up well for large groups in Pasadena! We made reservations for 2 on a Sunday at 12pm. When we first walked in we were greeted by a live pianist before being led to our seats. They have a very extensive menu and unlike other tea places I've been to offer tea trays with a certain number of sandwiches, scones, etc. This led to some decision paralysis for me and my friend but we both ended up opting for the tea rose afternoon tea with my selections of the chicken almond, goat cheese and sundried tomato, and turkey and watercress sandwiches, spring petal salad, lemon raspberry scone, tea time bites of lemon curd, creme brulee, and espresso brownie, and signature tea rose green. The spring petal salad was served first followed by the tea and tea tray. I was not very impressed with their signature green tea. It had almost no flavor even after being steeped (and probably oversteeped) and my friend also mentioned that her pineapple papaya tea didn't have much flavor either. The sandwiches were ok with my favorite being the goat cheese and sundried tomato. The scone was the real highlight of the tea. It was huge and tasted delicious with the clotted cream! The tea time bite desserts were also quite good with my favorite being the creme brulee. Service was great at the beginning of the meal but after our tea tray appeared we didn't see anyone until the end of our tea and had trouble flagging down a waiter for more water.

Walked in and felt instantly welcomed. The inside is darling and cute. The tea is delicious and the snacks are very good. I really enjoyed the blueberry scone! Sean was an amazing host.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, service, and food. Definitely recommend for a girls day out or Mother's Day brunch.

Yelp
Was deciding between making a reservation here or at another tea house in the area to bring a friend to celebrate her birthday for a party of 3. We selected this place due to the beautiful ambiance and decor inside that we saw from photos on their website, which seemed more fitting for a special occasion celebration. We found paid parking in a garage a few blocks away. We arrived and were seated at a very small table in the front near the piano. There was a live pianist playing some pop covers and classical/jazz, which made for lovely ambiance, but I did feel the table was a bit close, so it was a bit difficult to have a conversation over the volume of the piano. I would have liked to have been seated a bit farther away so we could be more in the center of the tea house where all the beautiful decor is, and felt the table was a good size for a party of 2, but a bit too small for three guests with tea and sandwich trays. We each ordered our own tea serving which each comes with a tray of selected mini bites and pastries. They did combine two of our tray items onto one to take up less space on the table. The server was patient and friendly and did check on us frequently. The sandwiches were lovely, pastries were just okay, some a little dry and bland. Overall, I felt the menu quite pricey for the quality/simplicity of the food, but did love the ambiance and experience. Next time I would come with a larger party to be seated more in the center of the tea house where all the beautiful decorations of lights and garden arches are. There were a handful of large parties celebrating birthdays and bachelorettes that had a whole section of the tea house reserved in those areas, seemed like an awesome experience for a bigger group!

Yelp
To be honest, my expectations were pretty low after reading the other Yelp reviews but my friend booked a reservation for her birthday so we went. This place is a little short of mediocre, based on my experience with other tea houses. As Paul Hollywood would say, this place is style over substance. For a tea house, the tea selection is strangely limited. Sometimes that's ok if the tea is exceptional but it was more reminiscent of infused water, rather than tea. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and allowed the tea to steep. Even after an hour, there was very little taste. Our party ordered a variety ranging from white tea, green tea, black tea, to sencha. None of it was flavorful. The place was cute and decorated but the vibes were lacking. I saw a lot of impeccably dressed parties celebrating birthdays and baby showers. However, the service was not there. The point of a place like this is to have a cute and fancy little afternoon. The server was very to the point. The menu was also poorly designed because you had to flip back and forth to find the tea options, tea sandwiches, and the scones. The food itself was mixed. I ordered the English Afternoon Tea because I knew any other set would be too much. And the cost of splitting was prohibitive ($12-15 each when each set is $34-44?). The salad was salad (nothing to write home about), the fruit and cream was good (hard to screw up), and the scone was enormous (not proportionate to the rest of the set). Mine was nice and crispy but my friends said theirs was soggy. Especially soggy was my cream puff, which felt like it was plucked from one of the boxes you could purchase at Costco. My friend separately expressed the exact same sentiment! For my set, I was only able to choose one type of sandwich. I went with cranberry chicken, which was fine but as a whole the set seemed lacking. Two of my friends ordered the spicy salmon. If you were expecting something like lox, you will be disappointed because the salmon looks like it came out of a can. The tea bites were a pass for sure. My friend said the brownie was hard and she spat out the cheesecake. I'm not sure about the other desserts but they looked underwhelming. The birthday girl received a mini bouquet, which was cute. It was a nice touch.

Yelp
Service was great! Ambiance pretty good. Salad was blah - just some wilted greens. Sandwiches so so. Salmon pate sandwich was too fishy tasting; not good. Scone was great! Price a little higher than most tea houses.

Yelp
Afternoon tea at TEA ROSE GARDEN is a MUST! I haven't been to their new location and wow... This place is stunning! I brought my friend who has never experienced an afternoon tea service. She loved it! And I of course absolutely loved it. The flavors were delicious. The scones were by far my favorite! Service was impeccable. You must come in and enjoy a "spot of tea", enjoy the ambiance and have a nice lunch with friends.

Yelp
Fancy! I've always wondered about this place when I walked the streets of Pasadena. Now I know. Beautifully decorated inside. Peaceful. Loved that the menu had so many different options and tiers Reasonably priced I like also the movable walls that seem to allow different events within the same space

Yelp
The most beautiful afternoon spot in LA! We came for a bridal day for my sister and law and it was totally worth it! Such beautiful stunning decor, great service. We got 3 sets for two and shared it between 6 of us. We decided to have a choice of every sandwich on the menu. Some were really good, some were interesting but overall everything was great. Highly recommend a cute girls date here!

Yelp
I LOVE it!!! Best ambience, you get transported into a zen space, very relaxing atmosphere with excellent food and a great variety of teas, I've always had an amazing experience

Yelp
This place was cute, but very busy and very loud. It was my first afternoon tea time experience, and I feel like my last time paying for this type of meal. It was cute and fun to experience though and service was pretty good. I just don't think the food and tea was worth it. It's something you can put together at home for sure. We got the english afternoon tea set and the quality of food made it seem like it was outsourced. From the fruit, to the desserts, and even maybe the scones? Can't confirm but it just made me think "hm, i could just go to a bakery and curate my own afternoon tea set for myself next time" I just wasn't impressed. I did enjoy pairing the cream puff with the whipped cream and a strawberry though. But nothing much to say otherwise. There was also mold found in my friend's fruit cup which was taken care of swiftly by staff, so be careful! Staff were really nice though! I guess it's just not my cup of tea.

Yelp
It's been a while, but I'm finally back at Tea Rose Garden! My friend made a reservation for us at 11am on a Saturday and when we arrived it wasn't too full, but by noon it was completely packed. I ordered the Rose Afternoon Tea set - which came with fruit, petal salad, dessert bites, scone of your choice, tea, and 3 flavors of sandwiches (6 sandwiches total). I think my favorite part is always the scone, which is baked in-house, served warm, and comes with clotted cream and jam. And if you finish your clotted cream, you can always ask for me. The dessert bites are so tiny! My favorite was the lemon bar and my least favorite was the eclair. For sandwiches, I tried the sun dried tomato, cranberry chicken, and the spicy salmon. The salmon was way too fishy for my liking so I didn't finish it. I also got the blueberry scone. The total came out to about $50 per person. I was a bit disappointed because the waiter got my tea order wrong - I ordered the signature black, but they gave me a rose tea. If it's your birthday and you tell them, they will give you flowers and a free slice of cake! I found metered parking right across the street, which was super convenient. They also have a few paid parking structures nearby. There's 2 gender neutral restrooms, which is not that many so there's always a line.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this tea room, and the choices they offer for all their sets are good and plentiful everyone can find something they like. I got the Garden Tea set but also asked for a blueberry scone since which was nice and not dry. for tea I got the black currant tea and that was very good, my sister had the lavender early grey and I really enjoyed that one as well. It is very loud in here though so I can see why that's something people mention in their reviews. I feel tea places don't need to be charging such a high price for their trays but it is what it is in this day and age.

Yelp
We drop by here after going to a wedding and waiting for the reception. The service was really good with the waiter being very attentive. The table was a bit small like everybody was complaining about, but it's OK. My friends and I had a great time here.

Yelp
Lovely experience with some girlfriends. We had a party of three, I was running late for our reservation but they were very understanding and accommodated my tardiness. Our server was attentive and explained the menu. The tea was delicious and the food was very nice. Definitely recommend for a light afternoon lunch.

Yelp
I was here as a co-host of a baby shower and it was an excellent venue for the event. It seems to be the go-to spot for baby and bridal showers and for good reason! It is such a cute little place. We had unlimited tea and sandwiches, and they kept refilling the snacks and even gave us boxes for all the leftovers. The service was so nice and they let us set up an hour beforehand. Everyone had a blast! The only minus is that they schedule a lot of overlapping parties, and there is just a fake hedge between them so it can get very loud. But for the price you really can't beat hosting an event here.

Yelp
Had a girls afternoon tea party (my first one) and it was so cute and fun!! Very versatile menu, and lots of goodies. Perfect for anyone's first time.

Yelp
Awesome tea party experience. Came here for a friend's birthday party and I must say the service and food were top notch. The servers were very attentive and nice. Loved the variety of tea sandwiches especially their sun dried tomato. All their scones were scrumptious as well as their other pastries. Only downside is that it does get a little noisy during the weekends when there are multiple parties going on at the same time. Parking is available at the near by parking structures and if you are lucky, you might be able to find street parking.
google avatar

Johana H.

Yelp
What a nice experience! I know tea spots can get pricey but this spot was decently priced for the food, ambiance and service. They did such a nice job for Christmas decorations. My friends and I felt so welcomed and cozy. They have a good selection of the tea however, we noticed one of them was a little watered down but there's sugar cubes and Splenda available on the table as well as whole milk. We did the tea for two which comes with 16 sandwiches of 4 different choices which filled the three of us up. Our waiter Zach was patient and nice enough to provide us some recommendations. Only thing was the parking so if you have reservations make sure to arrive early to find street parking or a public parking lot. It can be a hassle. But I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
This tea house is great. They have a large selection of teas, tea sandwiches, scones, deserts, and more. My siblings and I took my mom here to celebrate Mother's Day! The only critic is that it's very loud at times and busy. We went from 1-3 and by 2:30 it was getting less noisy due to the amount of people inside lowering. The servers and very busy and can't always check on your table a lot but they are super friendly and knowledgeable! I would recommend this tea house to anyone in the area.

Yelp
We were here for a meet up. I had such an amazing time. This place is so cute, everywhere you look there is something captivating. I ordered the Tea Rose Garden tray, check it out so cute. It came with 6 tea sandwiches, a scone, fruit , salad, tea, time bites for $40, all worth it. Decor and service were just great. If you go with a big group, make sure to take cash or put it on one card, it will avoid the waiting time. Check it out and cheers!
google avatar

hannah d.

Yelp
We came on Mother's Day and the quality was very mediocre. It was more quantity over quality. The pastries were not freshly made, most likely due to the holiday rush. The teas were from tea bags. We expected more from a highly reviewed establishment. The decor was ok but some things like the fake flowers looked a bit cheap and didn't feel classy.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been coming here since 2018, maybe earlier than that. I've always loved how charming this place is. This is great spot for lunch with a bestie or bringing your Mom for her birthday. They have a variety of herbal teas and some blends that you have to buy after at the gift shop. This Valentine's Day I went with my partner to enjoy their annual Valentine tea. It's an assortment of sweets, a soup shooter, grilled cheese, tea sandwiches, and charcuterie. We split the selection and added a savory sandwich on the side. I recommend the chicken almond or cucumber and cream cheese. I like the atmosphere because you can dress up with tea hats or dress casual. The staff is great and will provide insight on the various items on the menu. There are so many types of tea pairings and you can fit to your budget or cravings.

Yelp
I love tea parties and have been to various places. I've been here twice now with my mom and sister. Both times I called them directly to make a reservation. We park in the parking structure on the south side Union St (one way street going west) and just walk across the street. The interior is cute with a piano inside and they have lights and decorations everywhere, teapots and other things for sale inside. Both times the three of us have ordered their Tea Rose Afternoon Tray (Tea Sandwiches, Salad, Scone, Small Desserts, and Tea Pot). The second time we had our niece with us and we got her the Children's Afternoon Tea. Instead of picking one of their Children's Tea Sandwiches (Peanut Butter & Jelly, Raspberry & Cream Cheese or Strawberry Nutella), she wanted a ham & cheese, but they charged extra for that. It was just past Christmas time and they still had all their Christmas décor up at the time. She got a hot chocolate as her beverage. The total we paid for my 4 year old niece ended up being the same as the adult price. One of the negatives about this place is how small their tables are. Both times, they've put us at a small square table and there is hardly any room for all the plates, tea pots, and trays. Customer service is friendly, but very slow when we needed to ask for things like extra napkin or wanted to order another salad, or wanted the bill. The food itself is okay. My husband wanted to join the fun so I've taken him to Afternoon Tea twice at another establishment closer to our house. Wow it just blew this place out of the water, the food, the soup, the desserts (which is made in-house). So overall, would I come here again? Maybe.... Pasadena is where our mom lives and it's in the middle between where my sister and I live. However, we've had much better experiences at other places. Jan 2024 - Party of 4 (3 adults and 1 child) total was $178.61 April 2023 - Party of 3 total was $132.30

Yelp
Really lovely experience ! I came here to celebrate my bday and on a Wednesday it was very empty which was so nice. Our server was very attentive and gave us time to figure out what to order. We liked the fact that there was quite a lot to choose from (as well as a gluten free selection). We ended up ordering the tea for 2, additional salad, scone and petit fours - all was delicious , but damn! That warm maple pecan scone was to die for... l'm not a big fan of scones normally but this was absolutely tasty! And add the clotted cream and fresh jam... ugh... so gooood... The peaches and cream tea was also very good. Beautiful ambiance and definitely a great place for a celebration or just lunch with girlfriends! Parking is easy across the street and around the corner at the Old Pasadena Marriott lot - only $1 for 2 hours!

Yelp
Rush of food and tea all at once even though the table is too small and doesn't fit "that's the way we do it No time to take your time and enjoy "that's the way we do it" Bad service "that's the way we do it" Cold scones right out of the fridge and mini desserts from the store "that's the way we do it" DON'T GO HERE! Plenty of other places for a proper English tea.

Yelp
Celebrating my 28th birthday at tea rose garden was a beautiful tea time experience with scrumptious food, delights and YES tea!

Yelp
Been here a few times now and always have a good experience. They have a solid variety of sandwich, scone, and tea offerings. The people working are always so friendly and very attentive and the decor is nice. Plus they sometimes have a person playing the piano which is the coolest. The only thing that keeps me from giving this a five star is how loud it can get. Ill admit I've only be able to come in weekends which is prime time for events like baby or bridal showers. Overall have enjoyed my times here.

Yelp
I have wonderful memories with my children at Tea Rose Garden. When my children were very young, they always wanted to order the Tea for Two with a side of Devonshire cream, and it would be enough food for my two children and I. The Devonshire cream was for their hot tea and the fruits. Unfortunately, at least 25 years ago I don't believe they had the Children's Afternoon Tea on the menu. When they got older, we had to order two orders of Tea for Two with extra Devonshire cream. Recently, my son and I ordered the Tea for Two. This time it was actually tea for two people. When my son was younger they only wanted the Cranberry Chicken Sandwiches. Now that he's in his 30's, he decided to try other sandwiches but one had to be their Cranberry Chicken. When my children were younger, they would walk around looking at the items that they were selling. My daughter usually found something that I would end up purchasing. My son wasn't interested in buying anything. He was just happy looking and touching everything. Now that he's older, he was not interested in looking at any of the items they had for sale. He was happy with the Tea for Two.

Yelp
This was such a cute tea house. The space of the restaurant is fantastic because you don't feel like it's crowded with the way the way have everything spaced out. The Christmas decor was in full effect and was just so dreamy. The teas were delicious. The pastries and sandwiches were amazing. I cannot wait to go back and try the items I didn't order this time. The staff and service was great- everything was so kind and attentive.

Yelp
Such a beautiful venue. This would be a great place to host a bridal shower, baby shower or a girl's afternoon out. It was not busy at all at our reserved time of 3:30pm. We looked at the menu and decided on Tea for 4. You choose 2 teas and 4 sandwiches. Since we have 2, we decided on these sandwiches: cucumber, spicy salmon tempter, 2 chicken almond, chicken cranberry, chicken curry goat cheese & sun-dried tomato and turkey & watercress. Our teas were: Buckingham Palace, 2 Darjeeling which is an Earl Grey and Passion Oolong. Everything was delicious!!! I highly recommend this place. The menu had many choices. The decor was really pretty. There is even a counter of teas, jewelry and other paraphernalia for sale. I of course got some earrings. Such a cute place!

Yelp
We had the absolutely best time here! And the tea/food/hot chocolate was amazing! Everything was presented beautifully. We were a party of 8 that included my grown daughters (and a boyfriend), and family friends with 2 boys. A wonderful time was had by all. (It was a couple weeks before Christmas.)

Yelp
Girlfriends and I decided to check out Tea Rose garden for some teatime. Our friend made the reservation and I guess they must've heard the wrong name over the phone but even when each of us checked in with her actual name, not a single person bothered to correct my friends name for the reservation. Tea time itself was just OK the food was decent, nothing to write home about the fruit could've been more fresh as you can tell it had been sitting out. The pastries don't seem to be made in house, previously frozen most likely. This establishment also has a sharing fee which makes no sense because some of the bigger/pricier sets come with a good amount of food that it would be helpful to be able to share without basically paying for another whole set. Our server could've been a little nicer as there were a few instances where his responses were a little offputting. My friend had asked for a milk alternative for the table which our whole party needed cuz we're lactose intolerant girlies. We used most of it and she tried to ask for more only to have our server say that there was plenty left because of the way the jar is shaped.. weird but okayyy. Our server also came to us at the end of our meal to ask how everything was and when we told him everything was fine he said "great well we need your table for the next reservation." We were already settling the check & there were plenty of empty tables surrounding. If there was a line of people waiting to be seated I would have understood but that definitely wasn't was not the case. We got up, spent some time perusing the gift section & taking turns using the restroom and what do you know.. not a single person was seated in the extra 10-15 min we were still there. Would I recommend this place for tea time again.. probably not.

Yelp
The space is beautiful. About 4 other lady coworkers of mine took our lunch break here and we felt real cute. The tea sandwich's were good but very small for the price as opposed to my coworker who ordered actual regular sized sandwiches and salad for the same price. Do be mindful of that when you order. The staff seated us, eventually took our order and gave us the check when it was time - interactions were brief.

Yelp
Came here today to celebrate my friend's birthday. I love drinking tea, so I was looking forward to it. My friends and I ordered 2 order's of their Tea Rose Afternoon Tray's. Maybe I eat a lot but I didn't think it was enough food for four grown women haha. They put the two order's in one tray. I was expecting that they were going to bring out two trays. The sandwiches were pretty good, but their pastries are not fresh. Actually their eclair was cold, as if they had them previously frozen. Their tea is good. I loved their peaches & cream tea. It's such a cute place and I still had fun, I'm not convinced I would go back. Cute place just not a place you go for the food.

Yelp
If you want an elegant delicious afternoon tea, with great food and ambiance, look no further. However service was mixed. Came twice to celebrate birthdays. The first time service from Frankie was impeccable in a winter wonderland. The second time, they served some of us the wrong order and were much less attentive, maybe because they were much busier than my first time? They lack an outdoor patio unlike the tea place across the street but Tea Rose Garden is more than twice as large inside. Many of us got the most popular $40 tea service. Might seem pricey, but we were there for 2- 2 1/2 hours. It's about the experience, lovely presentation and service. You get 3 choices of sandwiches, 6 pieces total. Hard to choose from so many. Shout out for the Goat Cheese and Sundried Tomato and the Chicken Curry sandwiches - super flavorful. I could go vegetarian and live off their Goat Cheese sandwiches. The Chicken Almond also good, though a little sweet. Note: the salmon that's a little extra had a weird texture, like grounded salmon and too little. Compared to my last afternoon experience, I should not come with low expectations of the food. Just know which places to go! The scones are HUGE and WARM and delicious, served with Devonshire cream. Had to ask for jam but the raspberry was perfectly sweet. The sweets are bite size but my cream puff was excellent. The Creme brûlée was ok. Also comes with a fruit cup. Ample selection of tea. My blood orange was perfect out of the pot. Loved my other pot, Vanilla Almond, which tasted as strong as it smelled. They can accommodate gluten free sweets requests, which one guest really appreciated. You can just order salads, sandwiches and dessert a la carte including a pot of tea. My friend's enjoyed her filling chicken sandwich. On my second visit, I saw an adorable girl having tea with her mom. There was also a large semi-private bridal shower. What a great choice for special occasions. Teapots and cups are all white. Not whimsical with cute drip catchers like at the place across the street, but white IMO is elegant. Bathrooms - two gender neutral, one with a changing table but the room needed attending to. Paper towels should not be stacked above the trash bin. They also sell A LOT of tea items, pretty jewelry and other knick knacks. Not sure why Pasadena is the hot spot for afternoon tea but I'll be frequenting this city more for this reason alone! Plus the Tea Rose Garden is a few blocks away from the stunning city hall. Even though the service is uneven the surroundings and reasonable prices warrant 5 stars.

Yelp
They have a variety of tea which I love, I got the pineapple and papaya tea with my english afternoon tea. The tea sandwiches were good, the scones were decent. The waitress we had was friendly.

Yelp
This place is elegant and adorable for an upscale date or meetup with friends but I wasn't that impressed. I really do not appreciate places that do split charges. We ordered $200 worth of food and I think it's absurd to charge an extra $12 just because we want to split food that is literally meant to be split. That aside, the food is also so mediocre for the price. My ham and cheese sandwich was basic and the salad it came with was awkward. The dressing they used was way too acidic and didn't work. I did like the tea sandwiches. We ordered a variety of them and they were pretty good and had more effort put into them. I don't think the four pieces were worth $14.50 though. The tea was literally the only standout of our meal. They also don't validate for parking, not sure why that is. Service was a bit spotty too.

Yelp
Terrible business! Prices are outrageous, food was stale and tea was burnt. Service was alright but the owners seem like they treat their staff like crap- everyone was overworked and not in the best mood.

Yelp
Very cute tea room! Went for a friend birthday. The ambiance was so cute. The food and tea presentation was wonderful. We really enjoyed ourselves

Yelp
We just had an amazing experience here. Lovely ambiance, friendly and professional waitstaff, and the food was great (be sure to try the cranberry orange scone)! The staff overheard us saying it was our anniversary and delivered two small bouquets with our check! We'll definitely be back

Yelp
Don't waste your time or money coming here! You have one opportunity to make a good first impression. My first impression was not good at all. Thumbs down for all of the following. Friendliness Service Food Atmosphere Our server looked tired and his hair was messy. Very much checked out and inattentive. Only two guys working the entire shift. Started out bad and kept going in that direction. No greeting, in fact there was nobody at the front counter when I arrived and it took five minutes for someone to come from the back. While waiting for my friends I had to ask for water and asked for water w/o ice. He brought me ice water. When I told him I didn't want ice I got a poker face and no comment. We had to tell him when we wanted to order our food. I asked for honey for my tea and it never came. The salad was ok, the quiche was tiny, the size of a small ramekin. The place looks strange with all sorts of green fake plant partitions everywhere. I guess for private parties. I think the owners might be struggling with the business or just don't care or both. Wouldn't be surprised if it closes down. Go to the Huntington Library and have a real High Tea experience!

Yelp
I have been wanting to have afternoon tea and I came across this place. I went with my two cousins. We all got the Tea Rose Afternoon Tea. I got the jasmine tea. I couldn't finish everything so I brought the leftover home. I would come again.

Yelp
Came here after spending a day at Huntington Gardens and it was a bit chilly so the tea hit the spot for us. When we went there was a lot of seating so we didn't have to make a reservation. We got the Tea Rose Afternoon Tea package which came with delicious selections of bite size sandwiches, pastries, and fruit that you can choose from. For tea we ordered the Buckingham Palace which had an enjoyable bitterness to it and the China Rose which you can really taste the rose and I'd highly recommend that. Our waiter was also nice enough to let us know that one way we could avoid the "split charge" was to just order something else off of the menu and that is what we did.

Yelp
We had a lovely tea during the Christmas season. We had the seasonal tea. It could easily have been shared among two ladies and still be full. The food was good but I'd recommend you start with the entrees as they get cold quickly. The tables are smaller as someone else mentioned but it's mostly a problem if everyone gets their own thing. They did bring over a small table. Last, no alcohol is served so if you want sparkling wine, you'll have to go elsewhere or call to see if you can bring it in.

Yelp
I came in with a family member to enjoy a little girlie tea time together. We had a reservation and came in on time. Two people greeted us but had trouble locating our reservation that was hand written in a book. I had to find our name for them so it was a great way to start out. Hilarious. We sat down at a pretty table next to the bar and on the other side of us was a bunch of screaming children. We browsed the menu and decided to split the "harvest tea" special menu that was $65 plus a split fee of $15. The pot of tea that we started with was the harvest pumpkin chai. It was really yummy and the tea was pretty much the only thing I truly enjoyed. The tray of goods arrived but sadly subpar. Stale variety of nuts, one very large maple scone, quiche souffle, salad, sweet bites and tea sandwiches that were unidentifiable. We did order another pot of tea and got the almond which was also a delight! Our poor waiter wasn't very attentive but he was also the only one on the floor so I felt bad for the guy.

Yelp
Outrageously expensive for what you get. Similar price to actual fancy tea houses with low service, packed rooms, LOUD atmosphere, and low amount and quality of food. Bill was $375 for a party of 3 adults and 3 kids with gratuities added on automatically, I got an ice tea bc the hot tea I wanted was gone. So I paid over 60 a person for some finger foods and an ice tea. My kids were hungry and I had to get them food on the way home. Place is cute as long as you don't look too close.

Yelp
Delicious food/ambiance and also good morals apparently. Good to see businesses unafraid of the crazies.

Yelp
The place is loud and service was subpar. The food is meh. It was not an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
As much as a love the tiny sandwiches and the wide variety of teas, the noise levels at the Tea Rose Garden do make it difficult to hear oneself think, at times. Aside from that, it's a nice change of pace from your typical eatery. And, one thing I didn't know until yesterday, you can get full-sized salads or sandwiches in addition to the tiny ones.

Yelp
1. our table was not ready 2. we were sitted and waited for 20 mins for a waitress. 3. water was not offerred 4. waitress took order and then brought our food out. 5. I had a dirty fork...took 20 minutes waitress never came to table. I had to ask the hostess for a clean fork 6. finished tea time and still no waitress 7. had to ask the waiter next door for boxes 8. because we were a party of 7 we were forced to pay the added 20% tip on top of the total but a tip was not deserved . only because of the horrible customer service I give them 2 stars.
