I made plans to go to another boba shop in the area after finishing my dentist appointment at 3:30PM on a Monday, and man, everything was closed. I went down my list and got to Tea Lyfe as a fourth backup so decided to go here since it was one of the few shops open, but I did want to try this place.
I came in, and it wasn't crowded. Only a person studying at a table and a family at the kiosk ordering. I looked at the menu and decided on the strawberry oat matcha since it was the most appealing bestseller for me. I put in my order and added boba. After tax, the drink came out to be more than $8 which was VERY shocking.
I was waiting for my order for 15 minutes which I will say was long, but I won't blame Tea Lyfe on that. There was only one worker, and the family in front of me ordered 4 drinks and a couple of waffles, and the lady even pulled the worker aside to talk to her about the plants which took time out of her making my drink. Another person came in to order at the kiosk and was about to order, but the worker said they were out of boba...which made me a bit worried since I ordered boba with my drink. However, I got my drink shortly after the person finished ordering with her, and it did have boba in it. Guess I got lucky with that.
Anyways, I took the drink to-go and took a sip from my car before I started driving. It was pretty good. A lot of strawberry matcha drinks I've had do not have a good blend of strawberry, but this one did. It wasn't just simply strawberry chunks at the bottom, but it had an equal amount of strawberry and matcha which was visible when I got the drink. The boba was kind of smaller than I was used to, and it was not the softest, but it was still sweet and somewhat decent. Would I order the drink again? Yeah!...but not anytime soon with high price tag.
If you're going here though, I would recommend the strawberry oat matcha. It's pretty good and refreshing. The place also has wifi and looks like a nice place to do work and/or study.
