"This family-owned spot serves banh mi and a number of delicious desserts in addition to its extensive bubble tea menu. For example, there are nine flavors of egg puffs — similar to a dessert waffle (and optionally filled with ice cream) — such as matcha or pork floss. Try the boba egg puff with the phenomenal house-made black sesame ice cream. Sticking to drinks? The bubble tea is highly customizable, from sugar and ice levels to milk and milk substitutes. Those who like a carbonated drink will find some great seltzer and sparkling tea options as well." - Karen Wilber

"In its more traditional form in Japan, taiyaki — which dates back to at least the early 20th century — refers to a fish-shaped cake, usually made of a pancake- or waffle-like batter, that comes stuffed with a red bean paste, but other fillings are not unheard of. Here in Boston, several other spots have been serving ice cream-stuffed taiyaki already, including Teamoji in Allston." - Dana Hatic

One of the great bubble tea spots around the area with plenty of mix & matching. I enjoyed the mango pineapple slushie drink. Had a nice smoothie type flavor & not too sweet. The ice cream egg puff looks delicious will definitely try it next time I am in the area. Service was great & prompt.

Came for the Eggpuff and ice cream combo and was boba tea to go. Got the Oreo ice cream on an Oreo egg puff and a mighty mango fruit tea. Both were delicious and the tea was refreshing for a hot day.

Google
This place was cute with a nice atmosphere, and the black milk tea I tried was delicious and the boba were the perfect texture. Unfortunately I didn’t get to try the other flavor I bought, because the bag they gave me ripped open during my walk home and the unopened cup exploded all over the ground. If you do come to this location, make sure you drink your boba in-store.

Google
I loved the mango milk tea with boba. Carryout was seemless and fast paced. I already knew what I wanted to order but I included pictures of the menus for others to consider. I don't live nearby but hope to return for the mango milk tea (I haven't seen this option on menus nearby). The interior has modern decor and would be great post-covid. I did not ask if I was allowed to dine in but no one else was inside sitting (I only saw others place carryout orders)

THE STORY: Wanted to bring our friend that recently moved to Japan and have her revisit some of her favorite meals and treats of the cities! THE SPOT: And this spot sold everything we wanted and how we wanted. Its also lovely and quite small but peaceful ☺️ it just works when the weather isn't so good this spot makes you fell cozy! PRICE: Price is reasonable for what you get and with inflation hurting alot of business practices this spot stays true to money VS quality so that's very appreciated 👍 FOOD QUALITY: Food and dessert was nice and fresh and hot and theres options for low calories options and sweet tooth 🦷 lovers I also listed what the items shown were and will update review based on other types of food when i visit again!

Google
Ice cream was great. The black sesame is definitely my favorite. The waffle ice cream was not as good though. The waffle didn't feel fluffy and was a bit hard. Service can get slow sometimes especially on the weekends. They have a nice interior with good decor. Prices were not bad.

Google
The boba tea is good and the server was helpful in helping me decide the sugar level. They help me to adjust the sugar and it actually helped to adjust my Thai tea. It was perfect it wasn’t too sweet nor too sour!

Google
One of the best boba tea place in Boston. The flavoring is on point, not bland like most places. This is my first time here and am DEFINITELY coming back. The staff here are super friendly as well. Very welcoming environment. 🎯💯🙌

Yelp
The drink description said "toppings included, default boba" but it actually cost extra to have boba as a topping. I was under the impression that there would indeed be boba included as a default (and I didn't have to pay extra) and ended up with just tea. I've ordered my fair share of boba online and have never run into this issue before.

Yelp
So many places serve what they call Milk Tea, but resembles watery milk. I am glad to say TeaMoji actually serves something tasty. The Roasted Oolong Milk Tea had pleasant and noticeable tea notes. When ordered as "less ice" and 75% sugar, the ice and sweetness levels were perfect! The service was good. The young man working behind the counter was pleasant and professional. The ambiance was a mixed bag. It felt like half cafe, half a studio apartment (minus the bed). The cafe portion is bright, clean and inviting. Decor is minimal and tasteful. Ample seating too both with tables and couches. However, on the 'apartment' side the TV has a PS4 under it; along with a bunch of random stuff like a case of sugar packets and a printer. Upholstered seating around the TV has definitely seen better days. Also there's an errant leaf blower across from the washroom. So... what kept this from being a 5-star experience? Three things. 1. The Boba was overly firm. Getting it up the straw is an experience that could be a middle school science project involving vacuum/negative pressure. Eating it with a spoon after confirmed the hypothesis. 2. An extra charge for *any* kind of milk with milk tea is like a charge to board the plane with a plane ticket. It's not about the 75 cents, it's a matter of principle. 3. Unusual ambiance: see above. While I don't find myself in the Allston-Brighton area too often, TeaMoji is absolutely worth revisiting if I find myself in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Heard great things about the hong kong style egg puffs here and decided to give this place a try. They have a variety of different flavored egg puffs here like oreo, chocolate, boba, matcha, pork sung, cheese, and red bean, but we ultimately decided to go with the matcha and boba ones. The egg puffs ($6) came out with an excellent outer crisp (just like the ones that i've had in Hong Kong!) which i really enjoyed. I do however wish that the egg puffs had better flavor given that they were a bit bland and a tad too sweet for my personal liking. Tip: There is limited parking right outside the shop but don't fret because there's usually a ton of free 2 hour street parking available a bit further down the street on Cambridge St (4 minutes walk ish, enter 555 Cambridge St Boston on Google Maps). Not sure many people know about this but hope this helps!

Yelp
Dining method: Counter serve Item(s) ordered: Chocolate mojifrap with tapioca boba and the Passion Tea Lemonade with lychee and passionfruit Speed: Fast! They make drinks within 5 minutes (when not busy). THE review (usually I do a short and long, but this place is just wholly wonderful): I cannot rave about Teamoji enough. There are so many options, including MANY vegan modifications. There are also sugar and other modifications to personalize! The Passion Tea Lemonade was still sweet (and perfectly so), at 0% sugar (so maybe ask how sweet things usually are). The staff were incredibly sweet and cool. The ambiance is a perfect mix of sleek, trendy boba shop combined with adorable emojis and comfortable touches, like the plushy couches in the waiting area. The cups are cute, the drinks delicious and well-priced: coming to Teamoji will make your day, and I mean that wholeheartedly.

Yutin Z.

Yelp
Cute spot to hangout with friends! Teamoji serves bubble tea, egg waffles, and ice cream! There are many flavors to choose from! They even have a wheel that you can spin if you cannot choose a flavor! I ordered the original milk tea with tapioca boba, 50% sugar, and less ice. The tea very sweet especially for 50% sugar and the bubbles were a bit hard still. The milk tea was very creamy which I liked. Can't speak for other items but the egg waffles look great. The store was cute, they have seating and also sell stickers! The service was great as well! Also, wanted to note that parking is pretty hard to find in the area as well.

Yelp
I don't like it when establishments lie . Tried to order to banh Mi combo as the check in offer and the guy refused to honor it . I even showed him the check in screen on the Yelp app and he stated he'd never seen that . Then he suggested I order online and the offer wasn't online . This kind of behavior is frustrating and embarrassing . If you're going to offer a check in combo please inform your staff so the customer doesn't seem foolish for asking for something that's clearly on the Yelp page . Or remove it .

Andy M.

Yelp
Aloe Berry Green Tea was really good. Their eggpuffs are tasty as well. Nice establishment and decent prices. Will come back for the banh mi sandwich.

Alice F.

Yelp
Didn't see other reviews mention their banh mi - it's really good with tender beef! All I'd add is a little chili sauce but that's just me :) I got the sunset pop (peach-strawberry green tea seltzer w/ strawberry popping boba + lychee included) which was really good, as well as an egg puff which I've never had before but it's very light and airy but also chewy like Mochi flour almost. I'd recommend ordering 1/2 sugar because their drinks are on the sweet side. I got all of this and 3 of their mini boba cake snacks for $19 from a combo deal & coupon so it was definitely worth it. Will definitely come back for this and recommend to all my friends!!

Jailene H.

Yelp
such a cute shop! great central location, plenty of space inside for people to eat in if they'd like, and waiting area by order pickup which was very convenient! They also have a self service kiosk if you want to order yourself. I ordered online and the server was nice enough to wait until I arrived to make my eggpuff was fresh. Everything was made exactly to order and was so good

Qme L.

Yelp
I can't speak for the food but the boba tea is good! I stopped in for a post meal boba tea and I was pleasantly surprised. There is a kiosk right when you walk in to order contactless or you can order at the counter if you walk further in. The place is kinda small and there were a couple vendors selling art/other knick knacks. There were a few tables and a couple sofa seating areas. It seems like patrons get food and hang out for a bit. I ordered the Taro jasmine green tea with boba. I ordered 50% sugar and it was a perfect post meal amount of sweetness. I liked that the boba was al dente and had a chewiness to it! Looking forward to trying the other menu items.

Yelp
super fast service and they're v nice. great thai tea boba which is oddly hard to find in boston. definitely going back :)

Yelp
Service is awesome food it always good and made fresh, this is my go to drop in spot try something new

Yelp
This review is for an experience around spring time 2021. This place has all the potential to be great. The sign is cute, the cafe is well kept and nestled in Allston, and the branding for the packaging is eye catching and fun. The milk tea however was just ok- The flavor of the milk tea ( I got brown sugar milk and also crepe brûlée) was missing the sweet and herbal notes I was expecting. The milk tea more so just sweetened milk/cream... Also, because the brown sugar is already made- and is in the tea there is no alternating and choose sugar levels. The line was long and service was slow (only one person at the counter and one at the register) and the prices were on the higher price line for milk tea. Overall I think I will stick with Gongcha.

Fox E.

Yelp
So if you like ice cream and mochi And if your bedroom is all roachy Take solace in this It may taste just like piss But you'll get nice service at TeaMoji I loved the service and the decor and the logo here and was happy to give them a tip because they were so nice to me. But the product itself was not to my taste. I had a few sips and then it headed for the trash can. Definitely not a very well made Boba. But all the other good qualities and the wonderful service are exemplary, so then I'll give it a very healthy 4 star rating.

Vivian C.

Yelp
I came for the flavored egg puffs and the fish cones. But TeaMoji no longer sells the fish cones. Sadness. So I ended up ordering a Matcha and Red Bean Egg Waffle for $4.95 and a small fruit tea $3.75 - Jasmine Green flavored with Strawberry and Lychee. The egg puff was pretty good despite being dotted with the red bean (I was hoping it would be more like a filling) - tender eggs with crispy edges. The tea tasted kind of perfumy, however. At first I thought it was because I sipped it after I had tasted the puff, so I rinsed out my mouth with some water from one of those cone cups they provide (not the most convenient cup in the world) and sipped again. No, I still didn't like it. So I tossed the rest. Their egg puffs would be worth a return visit though. They come in three favors - Original $4.25, Chocolate, Matcha, Original with Tapioca Boba, Original with Red Bean, and Matcha Flavor with Red Bean. Their single unisex bathroom in the back lacks a hook, and had no paper towels during my visit.

Yelp
It is so necessary to commend restaurants that go above and beyond for their customers. Teamoji is one of them! Stopped by because we had a craving for some matcha/red bean/sesame ice cream. Unfortunately, they do not have these flavors anymore, only regular ones like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, etc. So we decided to opt for the egg waffle with strawberry ice cream and 3 toppings (mochi, lychee jelly, and pocky stick). We saw that almost everything was served in plastic. We're trying to be mindful and be as trash-free as possible, so we requested if they had any other option. They immediately suggested they could serve the waffle on a plate. Great, problem solved! This is where it got even better. We sat down and a server got us some water...in glass mugs!!! And said "I heard you don't want to create any trash". That went beyond my expectations. We were smiling from ear to ear. We sat for a few hours enjoying our delicious waffle and playing some of their many board games. We also ordered a hot taro milk tea with ginger spice as they served it to us in a glass mug again. Loving it! To go for bubble tea and create no trash was unthinkable for me but Teamoji made it possible. Thank you so much! I can finally enjoy my milk tea again, yay!

Jenn L.

Yelp
I was expecting the ice cream to be good for some reason...maybe it is because the cafe itself seems like it could have potential. Or it could be the cute packaging. However....the food here was very average. I got the taro/thai tea swirl with boba as a topping. I barely finished it because it was meh. The ice cream I buy at a grocery store tastes better than what they serve here...

Deb W.

Yelp
In addition to the typical bubble tea, TeaMoji sells egg puffs and the fish shell with ice cream and a variety of toppings. I like that you are able to customize your order with your choice of ice cream, flavor of egg puff and toppings. Each egg puff and fish shell is made to order so be prepared to wait. The fish shell took about 20 minutes. The shell itself was great! Crispy and fresh as it should be if made fresh, however the ice cream was very disappointing. I may even go as far as saying it was the worst green tea ice cream I have ever tasted. It was icy and flavorless. I would recommend ordering a different flavor. My friend ordered the chocolate egg puffs with cookies and cream ice cream and that was pretty decent. The seating area is very welcoming as they have games readily available to play.

Kaitlyn L.

Yelp
Love the egg puffs! As someone from Hong Kong I think this is one of the best in Boston! Worth every buck!

Jenny H.

Yelp
Decided to come here on a whim and this place did not disappoint. Ordered all my drinks with 75% sugar which ended up a bit sweeter than I expected. Most of the drinks tasted as expected except for the Mighty Strawberry Fruit Tea. It tasted more like a berry smoothie than strawberry fruit tea. I got the boba jelly for my boyfriends Taro Milk tea. 10/10 would get that for a topping again. It's like boba with a crunch and I don't have to worry about my boba losing its chewiness I'm if drinking too slow!

Satoe S.

Yelp
I love their cozy corner with couches where you can lounge with friends. They also have a small selection of board games for customers, so that you can sip your boba and play Catan. I really like that you can ask for custom amounts of ice and sweetness without feeling like you're being extra. I've been at boba places where asking for light ice makes me feel high maintenance, but this place is a safe place to ask for these modifications to have your perfect boba! I had the Aloe Lychee Pop, which was interesting. Fizzy, lemonade-y drink with canned lychee, lychee jelly and lychee pop. I let the group of friends I went with all try it and I got mixed reviews, so I would only recommend this for those who are looking for something different and outside of the regular milk tea variations. I also got an egg waffle with matcha and red bean flavors. It was average, but I am also comparing it to the ones you can get in Chinatown so maybe an unfair comparison. Cute place to stop in and hang out with friends on the way to or before the main event.

Lauren S.

Yelp
I had a bubble tea craving on a whim on evening during the quarantine, and TeaMoji was one of the first and only suggestions available that night. I placed a takeout order for their coconut milk tea with lychee jelly, and it was exactly what I needed! The restaurant was clean and the service was super nice, and they had great barriers and safety measure to prevent Covid spread.

Christine B.

Yelp
It seems like TeaMoji has everything to make it a great café: cute aesthetic, tables for studying, a corner with couches/ seats for chilling, games, super friendly staff--what more do you need? Well....you kinda gotta have good milk teas (since it's one of their most popular products!) and sadly, they are not very good. I ordered a Lychee Milk Tea and I found it to be very bland. BUT luckily there are a few saving graces: my friend ordered a mango smoothie which I found to be pretty good with just the right amount of sweetness. On a second visit, we ordered taiyakis which were satisfactory. I love how you can put as much toppings without any additional charge! Though I was disappointed with the milk tea, I must say that I REALLY appreciate the sincere effort the employees are putting in improving the place. The cashier told us to give her feedback about our drinks so they can figure out how to improve their menu.... what a great mentality! When my friend said he liked his mango smoothie, the employees were ecstatic that they finally figured out the right sweetness! It's their super sweet staff that makes me believe that TeaMoji has the potential to be better if they keep up the enthusiasm and appetite for improvement. In the meanwhile, will not come here for the milk tea, but will come back for their other products. & plus, I love chilling with friends here and taking advantage of the available games!

michelle l.

Yelp
This cute shop has really great, fragrant tea and the snacks are also yummy! Everyone working here was so nice and friendly, and the service was really good. It has a great setup to do work, socialize, play card/board games, and eat/drink. I ordered the tea with boba as well as the egg puff with green tea ice cream, and my only complaint is that they ran out of boba and green tea ice cream. Being a bubble tea shop, I am surprised that they were understocked on boba, but they were really accommodating and upgraded us to a large for free for the inconvenience. I definitely plan on making this a regular visit!

Angela P.

Yelp
I always order the taro milk tea with boba and oat milk. I love that this place offers nondairy milk and it comes out tasting perfect every time. They train their employees really well! Boba was slightly undercooked last time but it was freshly boiled.

Gili L.

Yelp
Boba milk tea, anyone? Best egg puff in town! Friendly owners. Comfy place hang out. Lots of drinks to choose front.

Felicia L.

Yelp
Started out really enjoying their drinks but over time, the quality has simply gone down. I usually order some kind of fruit tea and they have all been pretty good. However, I visited once this past February and ordered a fruit tea, specifically with NO ICE. It seemed like they were training newbies because one of the employees was teaching the other and my drink took a long time to make. When they finally handed it to me, there was ice in my fruit tea. I didn't want to waste even more time there so I just took my drink and left but it didn't really sit well with me. I went a few times during the beginning/middle of quarantine and the drinks have just been okay. There also isn't really convenient parking around the area so pickup can be a bit of a hassle. I will say that the employees are usually pretty friendly and they have some more unique drinks (like MojiFraps) on their menu that you can't find elsewhere. The decor of the place is also pretty cute and cozy. Overall, TeaMoji is an mediocre place for a boba run and there isn't much consistency in the quality of their drinks.

Akiyoshi W.

Yelp
I have not tried the food at this shop, but their drinks did not disappoint me at the very least. The shop has plenty of space for groups of people to relax and sit down. The quality and price of the drinks are great and the staff are very friendly!

Goku U.

Yelp
Goodbye tealosophy hello teamoji. So what's new? They reinvented the menu limiting the number of drink flavors but added the new craze about taiyaki filled ice cream. There are still plentiful board games. There's now a couch in the back but the tall/bar seats up front are now uncomfortable and small. I actually almost fell off one. They also removed the wall of sticky notes and replaced it with pictures. Oh and they now have large size drinks But anyways onto the drinks. We tried the black milk tea and the lychee milk tea. The boba was tasty as always. The lychee milk tea would pair perfectly with the lychee jelly (don't order it with boba). The black milk tea had a bit of chocolate flavor to it which we though was weird. Overall, still a good boba place. Give it a try!

Natalie S.

Yelp
Teamoji has been on my radar ever since I began using the food waste app, Food For All, and seeing them as one of the participating restaurants. I asked the kind woman at register for recommendations for, like, 10 minutes. She provided me eclectic recommendations and was extremely patient, kind, and warm. The owner also briefly talked to me and also seemed sweet (no pun intended). The artsy, intimate, chill, and modern environment and awesome 2000s pop/hip-hop hits playing in the background make it a fantastic place for millennials like me to read, work, study, etc. I settled on the taro jasmine green tea, which was one of the server's suggestions, with boba at 50% sweetness and it was so effortlessly beautiful. The jasmine was like ocean waves gently crashing on the shore of a beach and paired super well with the taro. The green tea was very subtle, and the boba was a bit sticky but bouncy and sweet!! I'm certainly returning. I was recommended the following items: red bean egg puff, matcha ice cream, sparkling fruit teas, coconut panna cotta, and taro coffee. I also want to try the egg puff and ice cream. Oh, by the way, the ice cream is made in-house!

Joshua C.

Yelp
TeaMoji is a well lit, cute cafe with plenty of sitting area and relatively calm/quiet. I really enjoyed just relaxing for a bit during my trip to Boston. Tried the Taro with tapioca bubbles and passion fruit tea. It was pretty well priced and customer service was good. I really enjoyed the store itself, it was very lively; and offers wall outlets and wifi! There was an event going on in the back where they closed it off, it was really cool that they do RSVP events here too.

Alan C.

Yelp
Very nice staff and I like the inside of the place. A decent amount of boardgames (half chinese selection). Had the ginger milk tea with lychee jelly. Honestly, wasn't very impressed because I expected stronger ginger taste but it was very light and hardly worth calling it ginger milk tea. Same with my friend's ginger coconut, more coconut than ginger. Overall, a nice location to hang out and not get crowded out like kung fu tea or cha time but nothing really wowing. Good place to play some board games and chill with friends.

Sana K.

Yelp
I ordered a taro milk tea with grass and lychee jelly plus boba! The taro was delicious! I will say the grass jelly here was not my favorite because it was a bit tasteless but besides that the drink was phenomenal and I would reorder just without grass jelly next time.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
The manager (I don't know her name but she's super sweet!) takes a lot of ownership in her drinks and wants to make sure that the customer is always satisfied. I've come here quite often and it always feels good when someone remembers your drink order -especially when you have dietary restrictions and have to have substitutions. The manager makes me feel that I am a valued customer at her cafe. Whenever I come and sit down, she'll always bring my drink over to the table and let me know that she had brewed my tea fresh and if I need to change my sugar levels/ ice levels. She's extremely thoughtful and that's one of the reasons I come back. Plus note for those who can't have dairy~ they offer almond milk!

Liz L.

Yelp
First time at this place, very neat and cozy. Ordered bowl and special grass jelly drink, love both of them ! Owner is very friendly and welcoming, food and drinks are amazing , will be back and highly recommend!

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Not the best boba in the area I ordered the lychee fruit tea made with green tea with lychee jelly and my boyfriend ordered the mango fruit tea made with green tea with mango jelly. The teas are (I think) unsweetened, which I would normally appreciate, but because of this the flavors combined strangely with the tea flavor and were very bitter. My boyfriend stated that his tasted a little bit like soap, which upon tasting it I agreed with. I think the lychee had less of the soap flavor but was still a strange bitterness. The jelly was good (standard) but the tea itself is better elsewhere. If I returned, I would order the milk tea but wouldn't go out of my way to come here - there are so many other places in the area that are better. I do appreciate that they offer many different milks (both dairy and non-dairy) for their milk teas. Not sure if other places do as well.

Wendy W.

Yelp
ordered a build-your-own green apple mango green tea and thai iced tea. the green apple mango tasted very artificial. it came with green apple jellies that also tasted very artificial and left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. the aloe topping was good. thai iced tea was one of the recommended/popular drinks and it just didn't taste right. this is probably the first thai iced tea i've had that was bad and did not taste good. it's hard to pinpoint what was wrong...it tasted very watered down and the flavor profile was wrong. we came here to play their board games (they used to have a very nice selection!) but unfortunately b/c of COVID they no longer have board games out. they do have a bathroom but it wasn't the cleanest and they had four different soap options which were all empty. given all the boba options in the area, i likely unfortunately will not be returning here.

Edward W.

Yelp
I went to this cafe recently for dessert. Thankfully, I was able to find a parking space near the cafe. The decor of the cafe was very modern and bright. The cafe had a lot of board games and playing cards for people to come here and play while they enjoy their food and drinks. However, I thought the cafe was a bit warm even though it's not even winter yet. I got the pork floss egg puffs and a large cup of iced taro black sesame drink. The egg puffs were very crispy. The first few egg puffs that I had didn't have any pork floss but gradually I could taste them as I ate more. The iced taro black sesame drink was awesome. It was creamy and had a lot of black sesame flavor. Definitely recommend this drink. I also enjoyed the playlist of Cantonese songs that were playing in the background. It's definitely a nice place to chill!

Yelp
TeaMoji is such a gem since it's a few streets away from the center hub of loud Harvard Ave. My friends and I find ourselves going here so that we can have a decent place to sit and chat without the noise of others. The decoration here is so vibrant and pretty! I love the purple and yellow theme of the place and the decorations are so cute. They also have some board games to play too. I sat there with a few of my friends playing Coup for hours. The menu is also a good size with fruity and milk tea options! The employees are so friendly and nice. They're very accommodating and Ivy even let me sample some fruit tea for free! (Thank you so much, Ivy!) My friend had gotten the wrong order, but the employees were very quick to fix it! The tea is just as you would expect and you can adjust ice and sugar. I'm a huge fan of thai tea, and it tastes just as good as anywhere else. My friends get the fruity teas all the time which they all enjoy. They also extended their menu into some desserts. They had taiyaki and green tea ice cream which was pretty bomb. I think it's not on the menu anymore as they're constantly experimenting with other desserts, but I recently tried their egg puff and ice cream which was so yum and a great portion for two people! This place is clearly not a chain boba tea store like the others a few streets down and it really shows in the attention and friendliness of the workers. It's so worth it to support this small business because they deserve it!

Diana N.

Yelp
Very pleased with TeaMoji. It's one of the first places that I've seen where you can customize the sugar content, ice amounts, and the temperature (hot or cold). I ordered the taro bubble tea with no sugar and medium ice, and it was perfect. The bobas were still slightly warm. Its a cute cafe near an awesome diner/ donut place and if I'm in the area, will definitely stop by.

Yelp
This place is located in the heart of Allston, in an area with lots of shops and restaurants. Inside, there's plenty of seating-from tables to couches. They also have a bunch of board games (including my favorite: Bananagram!), so this is definitely a place where you can hang out for awhile! The few times I've been here, I've gotten their non-dairy soft serve: Matcha and sesame, and Thai tea and taro swirl ....with boba! . Maybe it's because I've never had boba and ice cream together, but I LOVE it! I would have never thought to put boba and soft serve together LOL. It's a match made in heaven! Some things I didn't like: Their shaved ice is not that good; I think it's too thin in flavor. It needs more syrup. Also, their ice cream machine doesn't work at times, so there have been times I've waited 20+ minutes for a soft serve with no explanation, so I've subtracted one star for that. Overall though, a great place! I'll definitely be coming back for the soft serve and my beloved bananagram... and I still have yet to try their boba drinks.

Yelp
TeaMoji offers an exhaustive list of Asian dessert options from the standard boba tea to the stuffed taiyaki fish-shaped cones. In addition, they have a plethora of board games and Jenga which encourage some relaxation with your boba. We got a standard bubble tea and one of their soft serve swirls (Thai Iced Tea and Taro) - topped with boba of course! The fish-shaped "cone" was hot and crispy, melting the fragile soft serve but slurping up the melted concoction only adds to the fun. I found the gentle flavors to be just fine but of others may desire something more. It's also a pleasant surprise to find the taiyaki stuffed with a red bean filling - a nice touch to this dessert! I will definitely look into their new shaved ice options the next time I stop by.

Yelp
1) straws over there don't fit the last size, so don't order large size; 2) jasmine tea was bitter than other tea house; 3) doesn't like the plastic seal, would rather to have a cover as advertised; 4) not the best boba in town for sure. In total, not as expected.

Yelp
This place was adorable! I love that there are so many different options! I got the iced mango black tea lemonade which came with strawberry jelly and aloe. So yummy! I slowly drank it because I didn't want it to end! My boyfriend got the taro milk tea, he said it was only okay. I want to try their desserts! They look great, I will have to try them some time. I really like this place because of the atmosphere. Plenty of seating even though it is a small shop, and the decorations are super cute! They have a ton of games you can play as well and free wifi. If you need to spend some time studying/hanging out with friends/just want some good tea, this is a great place for you!

Yelp
Teamoji has really expanded their menu since I last visited Boston right when they opened! Their boba eggwaffle ice cream sundays are incredible. Their brewed tea leaves are delicious --- try the jasmine or iron goddess. I find many shops brew tea too long or with water that is too hot, making it bitter. They took the few extra minutes to steep my tea for me, so it came out perfectly brewed. I drink my tea with no added sugars or milk, so having good quality tea with its natural flavor come out is a must. I also saw they had exploding kittens which I always wanted to play!! Such a fun night!

Yelp
Bubble Tea + ample seating + board games + parking in the back sounds like a fun weekend afternoon activity to me. Games are on a shelf and are free for you to borrow to play with friends. They sell ice cream here as well in taiyaki or cone/cup form; Taro, Thai Tea, Matcha, and Black Sesame. I had the passion tea lemonade and my recommendation on this is to ask for the least amount of sweetness as possible, because even at 50% less it was still quite sweet, but bearable. My drink came with mango star jelly (which is actually supposed to be aloe), and strawberry popping bubbles.

Yelp
I love the interior of this place, typical cute Asian theme with poop emojis on the sofa, very modern. The cups that the drinks came in also had cute emojis on them. Hence the name of the tea place. Drink review: I got the ginger coconut milk tea and no regrets! However if you're not a ginger person do not get it. The drink has a strong gingery taste with the mix of coconut. Thick taste but light at the same time. I got the boba jellies, I personally don't like boba but the boba jelly was surprisingly different, not what I expected. It was not as sweet as normal boba and was jelly consistency instead. This is definitely one of my favorite alternatives since I like putting toppings in my drinks but don't usually get normal boba since it's too sweet. Egg puff ice cream - the egg puffs were just right, crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. Not too sweet, went along perfectly with the strawberry ice cream and chocolate crunches we ordered. Hit the dessert spot for sure! Summary: I definitely recommend and would go back to try their other ginger tea flavors!

Yelp
I tried their Taiyaki ice cream and it was delightful. The Taiyaki was freshly made on the spot and the ice cream scope was a mix of match flavor and black sesame flavor. This treat was sweet but not to sweet, which is the way I like it. It took about 10 min for the dessert to be made so my cousin and I play uno during our wait. The only downside was that when I went they did no have the matcha and black sesame soft serve ice cream. So, I got the regular scoped ice cream instead. Anyway, It is great place try some Asian treats.

Yelp
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!! The most delicious bubble tea that I've ever had! Got it delivered but definitely plan on stopping by this coming weekend because it's so go Update: After first encountering their bubble tee through Uber Eats, I was absolutely blown away and wanted to actually visit this place because their food/tea was so delicious. Once I found some free time on the same week, I headed out to TeaMoji with my girlfriend and ordered a tea and an ice cream for each of us. I got the Pina colada moji frap with mango jelly and boba, and my girlfriend got their Aloe Lychee Pop tea with lychee jelly and pop. Feel free to skip this paragraph as I will describe more about the drinks: ___ My frap was exactly what you want to have in an icy cold drink. Very well blended ice and a flavorful kick to compensate for the numbing mouth. The pineapple and coconut were present and the additional mango jelly and boba helped to make the drink that much more exciting. If you are reading this, Ivy, thank you so much for suggesting it! The mango definitely hit it spot on and made the drink that much more enjoyable. My girlfriend got the same exact drink as she originally ordered earlier this week, so she was just as happy. Please note, her tea (Aloe Lychee Pop) is made with sparkling water, however the sweetness through the Lychee ensures that the carbonation doesn't overpower the flavor. To be honest, the first time I tried it, I didn't even know it was carbonated! :) ___ Continue: For the dessert, we both got the Hong Kong egg puff ice cream, which you can see in the photos- HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! For a more enjoyable experience, just pay the extra $1 to get the flavored waffle. It'll be worth it. Here's a description to what we got: ___ The rightmost egg puff soft ice cream in the photo: classic waffle, Taro-Thai swirl ice cream, mango jelly, Lychee pop and strawberry pocky; the other: green tea waffle, taro ice cream, mango jelly, Lychee pop, Mochi, strawberry pocky and waffle tubes (don't know how to describe them). ___ After talking more with the lady working there, named Ivy, we were able to create the best combo to all of the desserts/teas, so PLEASE make sure to ask her questions and for suggestions as she will be more than happy to assist you in finding what you like! P.S. She's a sweetheart and great to talk to! The flavors were exciting, the hospitality was amazing, and the design to the place is outstanding; what more can one ask for? Do not hesitate to stop by and enjoy a quick, well made, tea and dessert to make your day just a little bit sweeter! Thanks again to all those working there for making this place so great, I will definitely see you again soon!

Yelp
First time visiting TeaMoji, ordered the Thai tea frappe. Was really excited to try out a new bubble tea shop around the Allston area but was disappointed in the taste. It didn't really taste like Thai tea at all (more creamy like frozen yogurt than tea flavour), but the frappe consistency was good. The bubbles were soft and very chewy - similar to the bubbles at Kung fu tea! Maybe next time I visit, I will try the lychee or get other desserts like the taiyaki ice cream. There aren't a lot of milk tea options (more fruity flavors) so this probably won't be my go to bubble tea place. Others in the area like Gong Cha, Kung fu tea are better. I enjoyed the cute cup packaging and the atmosphere was very nice, suitable for groups. There are cards and boardgames and a lot of table space which makes it a good place to hangout with friends.
