Yelp
TL:DR - Beautiful friendly little tea shop. Tea selection is large, but mostly flavored Argo/Teavana type tea flavors. Super friendly staff. Not a ton of seating and small number of outlets prevent it from being a favorite study spot.
I think there are sooo many things to love about this place, but there are also a lot of expectations when you see a legit 5 star establishment on Yelp (not a 4.5, but a 5!) that were not met. First off, this place is small and quaint, which isn't bad. It's an old re purposed garage. It has about 3 or 4 small two person tables. I came in the winter, so the garage doors weren't open, but I really anticipate that it would be nice in the spring and summer with all the fresh air.
The other thing is that the people who work here are genuinely the nicest people IN THE WORLD. Talking with them, you can tell they genuinely love what they're doing, they love the neighborhood, and really just want you to have a nice day. From talking with them, I know it's a local women owned shop, and you just love supporting places like that.
I was really excited coming here, because I was looking for a local study spot, and I LOVE tea way more than coffee, and who doesn't like a pastry with their studying? I got a rice krispie treat, and it was delicious. I'm not sure if it's made in house or not, but I'm good with it either way.
The only big downside for me is the tea. Like if your place has "tea" in the name, it should be a place to go to get hard to find teas. And to be fair, this is just a huge personal preference (hence why I gave it 4*s vs. 3*s), but a lot of their teas remind me of the types you find at teavana are argo tea. Like Peach Flower, or rosemary hibiscus. I'm just looking for some really good classic unadulterated Asian teas, like hojicha, or matcha. The other thing is that there is a lack of outlets for studying. They had a powerstrip at the bar, but it's hard for me to sit on a barstool for hours to study. But overall, this place is still amazing, and I will be back. Maybe not for long study sessions, but def to catch up with friends or to people watch in the spring with the garage doors up.
