So if you come down to Teapresso
Be careful you don't make a messo
Or like Monica Lewinsky
You can get a bit kinky
And show up with cum stains on your dresso.
Definitely one of the 5 best boba shops in Houston. Could not recommend it more highly.
Very interesting and different bubble tea shop, making some of the strongest and best-tasting milk teas I've ever had. Their fruit drinks are fantastic too.
Some of the loveliest service too, I like their owners, very friendly, very helpful, but the real stars of the show are the girls (and boy) that work here, they're angels, they're so friendly and make such good drinks.
Sometimes gets busy, especially during hat meetings, and the decor is lovely, and feels bright and welcoming. Lots of games to play.
This is Boba from Hawaii apparently, who knew it was a thing. Several locations in Honolulu. New location has opened up in Sugar Land, which is not even close to the level of this one in my opinion. We tried the other version of this (TeaLatte in Dallas and I liked it but Barbi hated it.
This particular location - I liked it even more and Barbie actually liked it. So I think it's clear between the two of us which is more enjoyable location. The Dallas one smells very strongly of tea, although Barbi thinks it smelled so bad it could not have been tea. This one doesn't smell at all - it's just nice.
We will definitely be coming back in the future to try different things, but do bear in mind that for the purist this is definitely along the lines of somewhat Americanized (or Hawaiianized) Boba rather than a Taiwanese original. But then so is Boba Guys and that's amazing and that's actually what some of the milk teas here remind me of.
I don't think the owners are related to the former owners of the now-shut-down Heights location, who sent me aggressive and abusive messages for reporting that an employee had told me during purchase that they did not receive their tips (the owners were taking them) and I should not tip. That is not the case - at all - at this location. They've been nothing but wonderful, and I've checked with employees here, and they get the tips, which is good to know.
Very well worth a try. I wonder if one will open up in Bellaire Chinatown at some point.
Was a time when you needed a car
In the Heights to get Boba (quite far)
But those times are all past
(And your mother's quite fast)
Thanks to the opening of Teapresso Bar!
