The D.C. Boba Guide: Where to Find Bubble Tea | Eater DC

"Teas’n You is always on the leading edge of food and beverage trends. The latest seasonal special is blue matcha, which is not tea, but butterfly pea flower powder with a vibrant blue color that when combined with acid changes color from blue to purple to pink. There are also foamy dalgona drinks that were an early pandemic trend. Customize an order with a variety of toppings, including boba, jelly, fruit, and chia seeds, as well as choosing the sweetness level and amount of ice." - Jamie Liu

A Dozen Places to Find Delightfully Chewy Mochi Desserts Around D.C. | Eater DC

"This local tea shop from a Vietnamese restaurant group that’s fond of innuendo sells mochi muffins and cookies in ube and pandan flavors. The muffin incorporates rice flour into the batter for a QQ experience in every bite. The mochi cookies are soft, crinkle-style cookies with a nugget of tender mochi at the center." - Jamie Liu

Amazing pastries, goodies and drinks that are unique. You'll find Vietnamese drinks and philipino inspired baked goods. Highly recommend their ube coconut cream puff which has such a subtle and perfectly sweet cream filling. They are large. The cookies are also filled with interesting toppings and are not too sweet. The tiramisu brownie is also fudgy and not overly sweet which I appreciate. I got their Vietnamese cold brew with ube cream which was very strong in the coffee flavor and decently sweet condensed milk which was diluted with cold brew.

Love the egg tarts and fried chicken sandwich here! I got the original flavor egg tarts and also the Ube (hint of sweetness). The fried chicken sandwich is delicious, crispy and juicy!! It cost me $$$ delivery fee DoorDashing from here (25 minutes drive) but it was so worth it!!

This is a regular spot for me. I come here like three times a month. I don’t live locally to nova, but whenever I get a chance to go up there, I always stop here for a quick bite and to try their new menu items! The plus are the happy hour nights.

Teas and you is a fantastic place. Their chicken popcorn and chicken sandwiches are great and their teas are also very good. Even the cupcakes in their menu are delicious, my personal favorite is mango/orange one. The employees are all very nice and friendly. Over all, this is a great place to eat and drink, meet with friends, or study.

Google
First visit here and loved the experience. The Coco taro slush was delicious. It's a blend of everything good, including Vietnamese flan. Also really enjoyed the pandan crinkle cookie and tiramisu brownie. Not a bad price point... Though I wish they they use fresh taro like some of the Viet shops in in the area... A quiet, clean spot to chill with your favorite Asian inspired desserts. The shop is a part of a 6-restaurant concept in the area so I plan to visit them all like it's a Pokémon -go stops.

I really liked it , they open hours it’s perfect for me and for my friends, taste of the drinks and toppings you can choose is great.

What a nice little spot by Tyson's corner. I love that it opens until 1 AM for night owls like us. Teas'n You understand we need our bubble tea fuel too late at night. I appreciate that about this place. I ordered strawberry milk because I'm missing those drinks from Japanese Family Marts. I also got pistachio bubble tea because that's new to me. I liked the strawberry but I expected a richer taste from the pistachio. Then, I got the Fusion Fruit Tea just for the sake of trying not expecting much. It's always the unexpected things that hit you. Fusion Fruit Tea is now my favorite. The popcorn chicken here is a must-get at this place. It was incredibly good. A hint of masala, crispy texture, a little bit of basil, and paring it off with the sauce it came with just made my day. The Banana Chai Bread is probably my favorite version of banana bread. Sad to say, the pumpkin spice isn't my thing so I didn't even try it.

We came here super late last night, around 12:50am. The staff was really friendly and I appreciate them serving us bubble tea that late. Me and my wife came here a couple months back as we were in town from New York and wanted our family to experience the same boba shop we did. It was obviously different since they were already closing but the quality of the drinks was superb still. Will be back for sure, at an earlier time next time! Definitely interested in the tiramisu brownie!

Yelp
Delicious boba and such a cute atmosphere! I got the honey green milk tea, which was delicious and not too sweet (I think I got 50% sweetness). The boba tasted fresh and weren't all stuck together. They also have an impressive menu of food and cookies, but I had sadly just eaten, so didn't try anything. It all looked good though! They had a surprising amount of seating for a boba shop, and it was all nice and clean. Would be a regular if I lived close by!

Yelp
Hey, I'm another girl from California here. After reading great reviews and knowing I was going to be in town and having a craving for some good boba, I decided to visit. To my delight, I was pleasantly surprised! I got a Matcha Boba Latte with Ube cream/foam (someone on here recommended it (thank you), and it did not disappoint)! The boba was warm--the way it should be--extra points for that. They also gave out free stickers at the counter. The only thing, as others have mentioned, is that the place does have a strong food smell. But nevertheless, the drinks are delicious and a must try.

Yelp
It seems like I come here every weekend for matcha drinks, popcorn chicken and sushi go! It's a fun weekend tradition! This time I brought my mom and she enjoyed the food and spicy level (we got extra spicy for the popcorn chicken this time and it was perfection!) I loved the playlist and sushi go was more fun with more people :) My mom did say that it smells strong of oil, and she didn't like that we smelled oily when we left. I hadn't noticed until she mentioned it. Overall, still a super fun and great experience with good food! I'd definitely come again :)

Yelp
Come here for the cream puff! A must try if you ever patronize here. We got the ube cream puff and an unsweetened tea to pair with it. I appreciate the relatively fast wifi but would prefer if the seats are horizontally beside each other rather than diagonally opposite so that it's easier for folks to do work together.

Yelp
I've been here twice now. Justin was friendly and helped me choose the right drink. Last time, it was the jasmine green tea with salted caramel topping at half sweetness. I loved the floral notes paired with a creamy dense foam topping. It brought me back for a second! This time I tried the Thai tea, again with the salted caramel foam topping. Again, it was a hit and I'll be back for more! The tea house itself has easy parking, modern peppy decor. It's clean and the staff is all welcoming and friendly.

Yelp
Teas'n You has the most amazing drink I've ever tried. The horchata matcha is a MUST TRY. Even if you don't like matcha, I think this drink is still so tasty. I was scrolling through their topping options and found ube cream which is something I've never seen at boba places as a topping option and it didn't cost extra! If I could get a whole cup of just the ube cream, I would. I love that they also have flan as a topping option as well and it works so well with the horchata flavor. The popcorn chicken and garlic Parmesan fries are something I always get too. Sometimes the garlic flavor is a little too strong on the fries but I don't mind it. The ordering screen makes it super easy to decide on what to order with all the reference pictures. They have an indoor and outdoor seating and some card games you can play while there. It's a very inviting space to spend some time there.

Yelp
I arrived minutes when it opened and it was already getting busy!!! Must be a popular place in Tyson Corner. *BASIL POPCORN CHICKEN -Crispy bite size nuggets marinated in our secret blend of spices. Topped with freshly fried basil. *Peach Please- Oolong tea topped with strawberry and peach bits. *Lychee Lemonade -Butterfly Pea Tea, Lemonade, Lychee Jelly The drinks were good. I made a little mistake of not letting the server know how sweet I would like my drink. When I got back to the hotel, I added a lot of water to it. Lol The basil chicken was very flavorful. I look forward trying other menu items/ drinks.

Yelp
I love this place! Even though they are always packed and have a lot of people coming and going with takeaways. The staff are always nice and quick to get orders out. The shop can be quite packed with only a few tables and seats inside. There are bigger and more tables outside the shop, which would definitely be nice when the weather permits! The drinks can be a little bit inconsistent: sometimes they're perfectly tasty and sometimes they can taste very watered down. The very first drink I tried is the Love Potion with light ice and 50% sweetness from the February specials; it was so good! Then I tried the Peach Please drink with light ice and 50% sweetness and that one was kind of a miss. I have also tried the Mango Tango; delish! So it's kinda hit or miss, but more hit than miss! I also always get the garlic parm fries; I really like them especially when they make them super crunchy! My only thing with it is, it's sorta a small portion for $5. They have a lot of pastry snackies as well, but I haven't tried them. I will try them all at some point! I will definitely come back to try other snacks and drinks. They provide pretty solid service and selection of boba teas and snacks!

Yelp
I love teas'n you. Whenever I am in the area I would always stop by to grab a refreshing drink. I like how they have unique drink options that are made in house as well as basic bubble tea drinks to choose from. The atmosphere is very aesthetically pleasing. The workers are also very kind and accommodating. They also have dessert/snack options that pair perfectly with their bubble teas!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was worth the hype for me and I can't wait to come back and try more things :) UBE CREAM PUFF: Definitely enjoyed this, but is a little messy to eat as cream can come out from the hole at the bottom (where they probably inject the cream). Be prepared haha! FRESH MILK TEA: This is their classic Black Milk Tea, sweetened with brown sugar and strengthened with Golden Milk Tea leaves. Wish boba was included, but unfortunately it is not. Flavor was just as I expected! PEACH PLEASE: This drink has Oolong Tea topped with strawberry and peach bits. Loved how refreshing this drink was and would totally order this again!

Yelp
A great place to get a drink and shareables with friends. It's right by Tyson's Corner Mall, which is convenient when you're in the area. The self-service is nice and the wait isn't too bad when getting food. The food is the real star of Teas'n You, the popcorn chicken spice is customizable, and the garlic parmesan fries are crispy with a strong garlic flavor.
google avatar

Yelp
Great bubble tea and garlic parmesan fries! The bubble tea is a bit on the sweeter side even at 50%, the Matcha Rose Tea and Ube were sickly sweet. The milk teas aren't offered at 25% sweetness. The Fruit Tea at 25% sweetness hits the spot! The garlic parmesan fries are a must! I love the battered fries with diced garlic, thyme, and parmesan cheese. The combination works well together and really elevates the flavor of the fries. The creamy Basil Pesto is my favorite dipping sauce! While the Sesame sauce doesn't pair that well with the fries, it's the best salad dressing and order a side of it. Don't miss out on the cream puffs and desserts. The ginormous fresh cream puffs are made in-house daily. They have a crispy airy porous shell. The purple Coconut Ube cream puff is my favorite and the filling tastes like vanilla buttercream frosting with a subtle coconut flavor, but not too sweet. I wasn't a fan of the acrid Matcha cream puff. All the cream puffs look the same from the outside with different filling inside. The salty and sweet combination of the tea and fries is a great pairing! Always excited to come back and a weekend staple!

Yelp
So glad I finally tried this place! I've been on the hunt for good Vietnamese coffee and this place has GOT it! (Coming from California, I wanted something like home) I got the ube foam coffee and the base is super strong and dark (yum)! It had the characteristic Vietnamese chicory-esque smoky flavor. The foam had great ube flavor and was super thick and creamy. The combo makes for a great treat and totally hit the spot. The egg tarts were a great surprise! Black sesame was a hit with my family and I personally loved the ube. The crusts are light and flake and the custard was super smooth. Not too sweet! The kids working were super helpful and very quick. Store is clean and there's ample seating. I love the little window seats! Bathrooms were clean! Can't wait to come back and try more.
google avatar

Alexandra A.

Yelp
They will warm up the cookie for you. It was so good. The ube cream cold brew is strong, so you can't really taste the ube. The coco taro slush is pretty sweet, but I liked it. There are flan and taro chunks at the bottom. I can't wait to try more of their menu items! It's self serve and there is a tablet. The seats are benches and have cute pillows. It was pretty crowded during lunch, but we got everything quickly.

Yelp
Teas'n You is a bubble tea haven where every sip is an adventure and tapioca pearls reign supreme. Their expansive menu, peppered with seasonal specials, is a testament to their love affair with bubble tea, offering everything from the comforting classics to bold, fruity escapades. The adventure doesn't stop at drinks. The Basil Popcorn Chicken sings a savory tune, while the Macarons add a splash of color to your palette with their bite-sized bliss. And the Ube Coconut Cream Puff? It's like a tropical holiday in every bite, marrying ube and coconut in a pastry that's too good to miss. The vibe here is as inviting as a cozy cup of tea, with an atmosphere that bubbles over with fun and whimsy. Staffed by bubble tea enthusiasts, the service is as warm and welcoming as the drinks are delicious. In a sea of bubble tea shops, Teas'n You is a pearl. It's a place where flavor adventures await, set against a backdrop of culinary creativity. Five stars for this bubble tea utopia, where every visit is a steep into something spectacular. Here's to the endless possibili-teas!

Yelp
The drinks at TnY has been inconsistent - sometimes, they're prepared well, and other times, they're super watered down and not at all close to what you've ordered. The staff are usually are welcoming and friendly, but there have been a few times when they've been standoff-ish - is it that hard to be dressed in a smile? +inconsistent in quality of drinks +standoff-ish service +parking available in lot

Yelp
I honestly love teas'n you, I really like multiple of their drinks and their basil chicken. Yesterday night I went 30 mins before closing and I got a mocha coffee frap. I couldn't finish it, so I left it in the fridge. This morning while drinking it I noticed a hair in my mouth and had to spit it out. I thought maybe it was me or somehow I got it in my mouth. I looked at the drink again and saw TWO other strands of hair in my drink. I am seriously disgusted by the fact that there was either multiple hairs or the hair was blended into my drink.
google avatar

Jasmine K.

Yelp
ORDER- 1) chicken sandwich combo (SRIRACHA AIOLI) - sandwich was interesting... it was almost like the chicken was wet, I don't know how to explain it. The sriracha aioli was supperrr spicy. 2) garlic parm fries - just your classic fries with parm on it. No complaints, no compliments. 3) fusion fruit tea?? - I can't remember the name but this drink was so so good. Less toppings would be better but I still really enjoyed it. Has like lychee, strawberries, etc. 4) unicorn macaron - kind of a birthday cake taste. I love the sprinkles. I love macarons. This was like a 4/5. I'd get it again for sure. I don't like how the icing stuff was cold SERVICE- 5/5 super quick and friendly!! AMBIANCE- 5/5 cute, plenty of tables + chairs. Open til late. Great place to meet a friend or friends!!

Yelp
I was craving bubble tea and this place stays open pretty late. Its located in the Tysons area. They were pretty busy on a Saturday night. They let you sample the milk teas. They were all really good. I got one of the Green milk teas with salted whipped cream on top and boba and aloe at the bottom. I also got the ube cream pie. Yum! Service was great. They really explain things very well.
google avatar

Radha P.

Yelp
Decided to take advantage of the warm weather and stop by for some boba! Ordered the pistachio milk tea with boba and it was lightly sweet with a hint of pistachio. The boba was chewy and tasty. The tiramisu cold brew was an interesting twist. It was smooth and chocolaty. The service was great. Plenty of seating inside and well lit.
google avatar

Yelp
The beverages at Teas'n You have always been a hit or miss for me, but my last couple of visits have been a series of misses. The Black Sesame Cold Brew was not good. Black sesame is one of my favorite flavors, and I've enjoyed it in many desserts and beverages before, but this drink was gritty and sour. The Sea Salt Caramel Cold Brew was another miss. Too bitter for my taste with no caramel flavor at all. The tea in the White Rose Cream Tea was good, but the cream was almost greasy and left an oily coating all over my mouth that I didn't enjoy. Their sandwiches and popcorn chicken are still great, however, and I love the sauces they have. The interior is cozy and warm and great for chatting. There's little to no service involved because you order yourself on a self-serve kiosk and then pick up your order.
google avatar

George M.

Yelp
Yes, there are many bubble tea places in the area, but this one it is on a whole different level. The standouts are the basil, popcorn chicken and the aromatic, herbal abysskiss tea with aloe vera. As a regular here of several years, I cannot say enough good things about this place.
google avatar

Josephine H.

Yelp
Not sure if they got a new baker or something but their new macarons are terrible. The filling is extremely sweet and texture is rock hard. Bought 5 and I already find their macarons overpriced but now they're overpriced and taste bad.
google avatar

Jay G.

Yelp
I've been seeing ads for this place for quite some time, but since I was working out of town for a while I hadn't had the chance to pop in until Easter. I had wanted to try the Tiramisu Cream Puff that I saw advertised but unfortunately it's a seasonal menu item. We opted for the strawberry Cream Puff instead. The crust was just the perfect combination of crispy/crunchy and chewy. The cream had a delicate strawberry flavor and was absolutely loaded with chunks of strawberry. Amazing. I ordered the Sea Salt Caramel Cold Brew. When I drink coffee I always get Cold Brew and I love trying different flavor combinations. This one is delicious. I highly recommend it. You have to use the kiosk to order. It was Easter and they were a bit busy but I'm not sure if that's normal traffic for them. There's very little inside seating and what there is seems cramped. There's also outside seating available. We opted for that as the weather wasn't too cool and there wasn't very much seating available inside at the time. Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Huge thanks to Christine and the HEH team! They helped me throw a private event at the store for my sister's 40th birthday! Communication with Christine was a breeze - everything was clear and fast. We agreed on all the details beforehand, which were perfectly outlined in the invoice, and the price was very reasonable. The store itself was clean and inviting, the staff was friendly, and both the food and drinks were delicious. Most importantly, everyone had a fantastic time! I highly recommend this boba shop for any event.

Yelp
Wow it's been 4+ years since I was last at Teas'n You. They have a variety of drinks (lots of Fall Specials currently), and not just milk tea or fruit tea. They have a whole menu of cold brew (the black sesame cold brew sounds interesting, next time), slushies, and more! I also love that they sell pastries here (although a bit expensive) HONEY GREEN MILK TEA - 5.25 +0.35 for 1/2 boba topping. 25% sugar and light ice was perfect for me. I liked the lighter flavor of green tea which was sweeten with honey. It was a good mix of milk and tea and the boba was chewy and good. I'd recommend this if you want a classic milk tea and don't want to diverge from "the usual". PORTUGUESE EGG TART - 3.40 I enjoyed this a couple days later and it was still pretty good. I liked the creaminess of the egg tart, and the lightly burnt top. I'd definitely recommend eating this ASAP if you want that flaky puff pastry. Otherwise, it's soggy but I still ate it, lol. The flavor was still there. CRINKLE COOKIE - 3.95 My friend was eyeing this so I knew we had to try it. It was soft and sweet, I can taste the ube flavor but it's not very strong. My friend really enjoyed this. MOCHI MUFFIN - 4.26 I like pandan and don't see it too often, so I knew I had to try the pandan mochi muffin. The muffin was a bit on the stale end, so it wasn't as chewy as I would have liked. Still, it was tasty and went well with our drinks. My friend got the STRAWBERRY MATCHA DALGONA which was quite good and fluffy. Even at 100% sugar, it wasn't too sweet (I probably would prefer a slight adjustment) so I was pleasantly surprised.

Yelp
Good food, decent timing on food waiting time. They call your name when your food is ready. *Seasalt Jasmine Tea is not too sweet which I love. *Cream puffs was bomb. It's not too sweet, the outside is crunchy and inside is sweet and sorta cold which makes it really good. The portion for the cream puff is huge though so it is shareable. *Popcorn chicken with the siracha like sauce is good and crunchy and flaoring is good. *Crinkle cookies are delicious warm. Get it warm. *Seating is good for small 2 - 3 people type of party when sitting inside. If you have a group of more than 3, you don't have much choice to sit inside so outside is better. Staff was great with directions when you don't know what to order and what to do.

Yelp
Teas'n You is one of my favorite places to go for bubble tea! Cozy vibes inside with great quality and unique options to choose from. Herbal Hibiscus 10/10 - topped w mixed berries and lychee jelly - fruity and so refreshing - perfect level of sweetness We ordered through the touch pad and our drinks were done fairly quick. Service is straightforward ~. They also serve salty snacks and pastries if interested! I'm eyeing the basil popcorn chicken or one of their macarons for my next visit!
google avatar

Melody Y.

Yelp
I saw a picture of the strawberry matcha dalgona and I knew I had to try it! This drink was creamy and overall tasted like strawberry yogurt. I didn't really taste much matcha. There were real strawberry pieces in the bottom of the drink which made it very refreshing. They also had the option for lactose free milk! I'd definitely come back to try other menu items.
google avatar

Pam D.

Yelp
The Tiramisu Hot Cocoa and Ube Cream Cold Brew from Teas 'n You, Vienna. Our drinks were delicious, and they have a lot of options. But I'm disappointed that they don't offer decaf coffees. I can't have caffeine and was really hoping to be able to try one of their coffees. Please consider this!
google avatar

Nyla M.

Yelp
Went to try this spot out with my family and we had the basil chicken, fries, fruit teas, cookies, macarons and egg custard. The food and service was great! Our favorites were the chicken, definitely shareable if you want to split it, the sauces were awesome! None of us loved the fries, they were ok but very garlicky and loads of Parmesan but just didn't hit. The desserts are all one better than the next. I would go back for that egg custard anytime!!!! Try it, you won't be sorry.

Bijal P.

Yelp
I lovedddd the tart and the rose cream milk tea! Pistachio milk tea was okay but customer service was great!!!! Love their cookies too.

Yelp
I used to come here so often in the years it first opened up and I recently went after and while and noticed some changes. First of all I really liked that there was a self service check out for those that want 0 interactions. The ambiance here has always been nice as the chairs are always cute to sit on. I did notice less people sitting down and more people come here for take out now. I always order the horchata milk tea and it tasted just as good as I remember it. And I ordered a side of garlic fries with basil popcorn chicken. The chicken was so good but I would not get the fries next time. The taste was a bit bland and the size was small for the price. Service was chill just like the vibes in the store. Will return soon.
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
The classic Vietnamese coffee (served automatically with 75% sugar) was good, but I definitely would've asked for less sugar if I knew that was possible. My friend had the black sesame cold brew, and it was delicious but also sweet. Ube mochi muffin was good and chewy. Ferrero rocher macaron was good but nothing mind-blowing. I suggest the restaurant add sugar levels to the menu so that customers know they can adjust the sweetness level.
google avatar

Mychelle H.

Yelp
I know I've reviewed this establishment in the past but I wanted to give an update. It's been a few months since my first encounter and since then I've been here at least once a month. I would go more but I'm not in the area as often as I would like. I love that not only does this place have teas they have a huge macaron selection and I'm a huge sucker for those treats. So on this trip I got tiramisu and viet coffee macaron, basil popcorn chicken, garlic parmesan fries, and a strawberry matcha dalgona with coffee jelly. Everything was soo good and helped me keep my energy up for my somewhat long day. I really enjoy the staff here because they're always so kind no matter how busy or empty. They helped me pick what drink to get and I love it was one they've personally had. I prefer those recommendations than what's popular with guests. Seating is tight, however because I came early I snagged a nice spot by the game shelf. I decided to pull out guess who and connect 4 because I was feeling nostalgic. I'm trying to find another excuse to be in the area for more treats.

Yelp
We came here for a little snack and we were so happy to see the basil popcorn chicken on the menu. The menu had a mix of sweet and savory items to choose from. We ended up ordering the popcorn chicken, garlic Parmesan fries, and I got the Taiwanese chicken sandwich. Of course I couldn't turn down a classic Thai tea, so I ordered one of those. They had an option to order at the counter or touch screen. We opted for the touch screen, but looking back I think ordering at the counter would have been faster because there were so many items on the touch screen menu to get through to complete our order. Overall I really liked the sandwich because it was very filling and really hit the spot in the moment. It was heavier than a snack and I would say it was a small meal. It was like a big piece of popcorn chicken with creamy green aioli between a bun. I would come back for it. My Thai tea was okay. I think I'll opt for a higher level of sweetness next time. My husband enjoyed his popcorn chicken and fries. He didn't get a drink because he wanted something not coffee or tea. He was able to get water at a self serve station, which was convenient. The vibe inside was nice and wasn't very crowded when we went on a Sunday evening. The seating was cozy with some soft pillows available on the chairs.
google avatar

Adam S.

Yelp
We ordered the pistachio milk tea with bubbles. Full of flavor. The ambiance in the cafe was also nice. Perfect spot if solo or for a date night. Expect to short wait for your order.

Yelp
Teas'n You is a cozy and welcoming bubble tea place that offers a unique and delicious menu. The Strawberry Matcha Dalgona is a perfect example of the creativity and quality that Teas'n You brings to its beverages. The blend of sweet strawberry and earthy matcha flavors in the creamy Dalgona foam creates a perfect balance of tastes and textures. Teas'n You is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a tasty and refreshing bubble tea experience. The Strawberry Matcha Dalgona is highly recommended, but there are many other exciting flavors on the menu to explore. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable, making it a great place to hang out with friends or just relax with a book.
google avatar

Kyongjin K.

Yelp
the strawberry matcha dalgona is so yummy! they make the strawberry puree in house and have nice chunks of the fruit in it. I got the drink with less puree and dalgona and it was still sweet! i would get it again.

ChowNut ..

Yelp
Large selection of boba drinks. I got four cream puffs for the discount around $21. The cream puffs had good filling (green tea, Ube, and strawberry) but the pastry itself is a bit strange and looked burnt but wasn't. Suggest ordering from the kiosk if you don't want to feel pressured to tip. Chill shop but not a place for intimate conversations.

Alvin C.

Yelp
So confused as to why this place has so many good reviews. Drinks are so inconsistent. But my bone to pick is the PASTRIES! The cream puffs are like soooo not good. First off, they're filled in a way that's stingy af. Like other reviewers, exterior of the cream puff is very dark and the dough eats tough and dry. Plus they're $5.95 each! Seriously? At least taste good. I tried matcha, ube, and strawberry. Not worth it at all. Portuguese tarts were okay. Cookies were dense and hard to bite through. Mochi muffins were flat and made you question why they even bother selling them. Overall, a place you'd never come back to after you visit the first time. Next time you visit, look at the display case itself when you walk in the door. The pastries look so sad and lifeless. Can't believe they will charge the amount their asking for such subpar desserts.

Yelp
Ordered for pick up. Easy to use the online ordering system. The Thia Chicken sandwich was good, but the spicy version wasn't spicy to me. Makes me wonder what the "mild" version is. To be fair, I'm from southern Texas where spicy is a good group, so others might find it spot on. The pickles on the sandwich were fantastic. I also really appreciated the fact that they ask how sweet you'd like your tea (scale of 0% to 150%) & the option of extra ice to no ice & every level in between. I was only inside for a few moments, but the decor was lovely. I'll definitely be back to dine in or swing through for another pick up order.

Yelp
Milk tea and hibiscus tea were great. Cream puffs were fantastic. Chicken sandwich combo was absolutely great. I'm not a big fan of fries. But their fries were surprisingly fresh and delicious. The reason for 4 not 5 stars is the restroom. They have only one and it was unclean, messy, and unpleasant, water pooling on the floor. The cafe has white tile floor and the are around the restroom was just messy and sore to the eyes, because of the bathroom's wet floor.

Yelp
One of my favorite boba spots in NoVa! The spicy basil popcorn chicken is always so good, as well as the Fruity Pebbles macaron. I started getting the lychee lemonade which is good. I wish they would bring back the mojito drinks because those used to be my favorite. I think the interior has definitely improved but has potential to be cozier. I also like the games available.

Yelp
Nice place with lots of seatings. The pistachio milk tea was a lot sweeter than expected. Horchata matcha was ok. The ube cream puff has too much filling making it pretty sweet/hard to finish. There's only 1 bathroom so we need to wait a bit before we can use it.

Yelp
Can someone please tell me why the ube egg tart is sour? And the aluminum shell sticks to the egg tart which makes it almost impossible to separate them without breaking the egg tart. Isn't it common sense to grease the pan/aluminum shell before baking?

Yelp
A nice modern but comfortable environment. The service was excellent. We just had drinks. Would return.

Yelp
My favorite boba shop in Northern Virginia! When anyone asks where I like to go, this is the place I always recommend. My favorite is the Green Thai Tea, so delightful and rich. If I'm feeling more fruity I go for the Lycheeberry. Every time I visit I also get the Basil Popcorn Chicken and Garlic Parmesan Fries. They are the perfect savory snacks to share with someone. Lastly, I also recommend the macarons! The flavors are unique and I love trying all the different ones.

Yelp
I feel like I never got the hype about this place from the teas I'd get... I thought their taro milk teas were average and their fruit teas were generic... but after my most recent visit, I get the hype now. The pistachio milk tea is so delicious! The pistachio flavour is a good level and works well with the milk tea, giving a fresh, nutty taste with the creamy milk. The popcorn chicken was amazing too! It's a little expensive but I was honestly full after eating 2/3 of the box. Great level of spiciness, crunch , and chicken meat. It's a nice dish to share but it was honestly a meal itself. Really love this place for the aesthetics, food quality, packaging, and self serve kiosks. Staff are friendly too so really enjoy coming here!

Yelp
This place comes to my mind whenever I have a craving for unique drinks! The interior is nicely decorated as well as the presentation of their food and drinks. We tried the Sakura Matcha Latte that was under their seasonal specials. It not only looks good it also taste good with a hint of matcha and milk tea flavor. It also came with crystal boba toppings that were chewy and went well with the drink. Their service has always been nice and quick, but I usually have minimal interaction with the staff because I order through the Toast Takeout app. The White Rose Cream Tea and Basil Popcorn Chicken has always been my favorite!
