Where To Find the Best Coffee and Tea in Queens | Eater NY

"A Taiwan-based bubble-tea brand that prioritizes tea quality, each location carries five signature base brews. The Tieguanyin (Iron Goddess) is a heavily roasted oolong with a strong, slightly charred flavor; the amber oolong, grown in Taiwan’s middle-altitude mountains and roasted at low heat, delivers a rich but milder taste. From those bases you can get tea lattes, milk-foam (like a cappuccino), flavor infusions such as honey or peach, and toppings that range from Teazzi’s signature oats (which can be filling) to aloe. It’s presented as the best bet for getting a chewy boba fix without sacrificing tea quality." - Caroline Shin

Google
I thought this was a pretty sophisticated milk tea—the oolong tea itself was strong and had floral notes. It wasn’t too sweet and tasted like honey. The price was a bit steep ($6.75) considering I didn’t get any toppings but I guess it was a big size. I think there was a language barrier when ordering because I had to negotiate getting all these additional charges taken off like “Oat” which came up to $1. Anyway, they have a good amount of seating and it was really clean. I’d return!

Google
I love this place perfect study spot. The milk teas are very authentic and the fruit drinks taste very fresh! Love the mango tea its my go to order. Staff are SO friendly!!!

Google
They have a unique selection of bubble tea. They include something like egg pudding and jelly to their drinks, and if you wanna add Boba, that's extra charge. My fav was milk duo.

The young lady working on Tuesday morning (9/16) really needs to be retrained before dealing with customers again! Her attitude was extremely rude and impatient—she even rolled her eyes at me, as if ordering a drink was bothering her. I only ordered a simple reduced-sugar drink, yet she acted annoyed the entire time and took her bad mood out on me instead of being professional. What frustrated me most is that while she treated me poorly, I saw her happily swaying to the music while making drinks. If she could put that energy/mood into respecting customers instead of showing attitude, the experience would be much better. This employee definitely needs retraining!

Google
A little below average. My husband ordered some strawberry drink and I ordered the tofu roasted tea and I was beyond disappointed! My drink tasted a little too artificial and weird; I felt like the quality and flavors could have been better. Will not be visiting Teazzi again. On the upside, very nice employees!

Google
I had a terrible experience at Teazzi Milk Tea .I ordered one regular sugar and one 70% sugar, but the cashier entered 50% and 30% instead. When I corrected her, she rolled her eyes and sighed impatiently. At checkout, she even dropped the receipt on the counter rudely. One drink wasn’t sealed properly and spilled everywhere, and the sugar levels were reversed—my 70% was made full sugar, and the full sugar one was 70%. No apology at all. This cashier clearly needs more training to learn how to respect customers. Very poor service and quality. Not recommended.

First time visiting, the establishment is welcome and very cutesy. Got the Apple TJ and it was tasty and refreshing.

Google
Heard about this place from my best friend and decided to order their "House Special Milk Tea "(had the milk tea, boba & oats) and "Honey Amber Oolong Milk Tea". You have to be big on tasting texture for you to really like their House Special as the Oats provide a different texture on top of the boba. The boba were coated and were cooked pretty well. The environment was kind of small and it seemed more of a pick-up and go kind of place. They seem to be big on the quality of their tea as well which I appreciate. I will come here again to try out their other teas!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite boba spots in Philly chinatown - I've been here many times and they're known for their unique toppings like oats and taro! My go to drink is their dark roast oolong milk tea with tapioca & oats, and it always hits the spot, would really rec. The oats have a great chew to it, making it really interesting texture wise! I'm a huge fan of it, because it makes it feel like both a dessert and a drink together. Only downside is that you might get full from this drink xD The inside is pretty spacious with a lot of seating, a very clean aesthetic. The wait is also not that long, and the staff there are super friendly - my first time there, I had a lot of questions about their most popular drinks and the girl walked me through everything.

Yelp
Beautifully designed space with lots of seating. I got the Purple Rice and Red Bean Latte with Taro and Pudding as toppings. So filling and delicious! It was mildly sweetened, just the way I like it. It tasted very similar to Che Thai because of the rice, beans, taro and pudding (you could add more toppings to make it more dessert like). I would definitely be back when I feel like I want to drink my dessert! The staff was very sweet and courteous

Yelp
It was pretty crowded when I visited on Martin Luther King day. All the seats were taken, but there were a few cushion spots in the center area. A lot of people were studying and using their laptops at this location. It was very clean inside and the lighting was nice. A very comfy cozy place. However if you sit on the cushions in the middle, it can get really cold as the door opens when people enter and leave. There was no line to order so we got our drink pretty fast. I got the Oolong lemonade - standard, delicious And it was exactly what I expected.

Yelp
Came here in between acts at SpaceKTV. Place was super clean!!! They had a huge variety of teas to order from. I got the non caffeinated drink option. It was a warm taro latte. It was just okay. The taro paste they put in it became too much. My friend said her tea was too milky. Will give them another try with something else.

Yelp
This was my first time trying milk tea. It was so delicious and the ambience was great. The line wasn't too long but it took about 15 minutes for us to order since there were only 2 people working. The workers were very knowledgeable and helped us select our drinks. I got the honey amber oolong milk tea. It was delicious.

Yelp
So cute and great drinks! Service was super fast even though there were a lot of customers in the store. Clean environment. I got the Red Bean and Rice Latte - I will admit at first it surprised me (the texture of the beans) but I think i just didn't know what to expect! It tasted delicious. I would love to go back and try more of their drinks. I LOVE how you can choose the sugar amount and ice amount in certain drinks, so helpful!!!

Yelp
Got the milk tea duo with regular ice, 50% sugar, double pudding because they were out of grass jelly & boba. The milk tea was delicious & pudding was perfectly sweet. It's a nice little shop with some seating. I came on a busy day where it was BOGO free so it took some time to get our order.

Yelp
YUM! I got the Peach Oolong tea and it was DELISH! I love that you can pick your sugar level and your ice level. Super fun. It was quick and delicious. On a hot day, this is a must!

Yelp
The best milk tea shops in the city! Their tea is strong and flavorful, and they all taste great no matter which tea you get. I personally enjoy the dark roasted oolong tea. They allow you to choose each tea as either a plain tea by itself, milk tea (uses milk creamer), milk latte (uses fresh milk), or ice cream (never had before but I assume ice cream is added for creaminess). I have tried all the options except for the ice cream one. My favorite is the milk tea option as it adds extra richness to your drink. The tea only option, however, is perfect for tea drinking purest that want to taste the full bodied flavor of their tea. I personally go with their 70% sweetness and 30% ice. I have tried a bunch of combinations and this is the final best tasting adjustment for me. The option of adding oats is nice and a great change to the normal tapioca boba pearls. The oats are a bit puffed and add a great chewy complement to the drink. The place is usually busy but not so much where you will need to wait long for your drinks. There is free WiFi so it's great for doing some light work away from home. Great atmosphere and close proximity to Chinatown.

Yelp
Solid boba place in Philadelphia Chinatown! The Jasmine milk tea had a balanced tea taste that wasn't overpowering, although the milk was light and could've had a stronger, creamier flavor. I had the brown sugar bobas that weren't too sweet and had an easy-to-chew texture. Jasmine milk tea was $6 (large size only) and brown sugar bobas were an extra dollar. Friendly service, and inside had plenty of seating.

Yelp
Love this place in New York and so glad to see it opened up here in Philly! Decoration is cute, drinks come out fast, and there is always decent amount of seating when I come.

Yelp
Pretty solid milk teas! Their boba is nice and chewy. They also have these great drinks with oats in them, which taste great and mild and have a fun texture

Yelp
Tried Teazzi for the first time, we came on a Wednesday night. Service was quick and fast. Inside the boba shop was plenty of seating and it was well decorated. We ordered the four season milk tea duo, it was very delicious! I think this is one of my top bubble tea places. The toppings seem very freshed. We also order one of the specials they were having that day, which was honey ginger tea. Everything was good and fine with the season milk tea duo, but they gave me the hot ginger tea in the same container/lid & straw as the cold iced bubble tea. I am not sure if I can be sipping hot tea from a straw..... I wish they had one of those sipping lids instead. We asked for a different lid but they did not have. Overall, will be back for the milk tea, but not so much for hot drinks, until they get new sipping lids lol.

Yelp
They have plenty of sitting place. Usually get table and chairs here.i drink only simple tea or tea latte but many others sounds good.they have many choice like other tea shop. 1 thing dislike is only they carry lactose free milk. No almond, oat or soy milk. I'm not vegetarian or vegan but lactose intolerant so I prefer plant based milk.

Yelp
I'm so happy that I found a high quality boba shop in Philly! Coming from California, where there is an abundance of boba shops, I did not recognize the name of this boba shop. Turns out this boba shop started in the east coast (NY) and they now have expanded across the east coast. Teazzi uses ingredients that are sourced from Taiwan and you can really taste the quality! No wonder they have expanded so quickly. Upon walking in, I noticed they lined the walls with cups that had Chinese writing on them. They have TV screens that display their most popular drinks. I chose the Peach Oolong TJ (comes with tea jelly and crystal boba). I got this at 70% sweetness and with less ice. The tea flavor in this drink really comes through since I got the drink less sweet. If you prefer your tea less bitter, you can get this drink without the sugar level. This drink has a variety of textures from the tea jelly to the crystal boba to the peach pieces. The peach pieces tasted like canned peaches to me and they add a pop of sweetness whenever I bite into it. The tea jelly has a light sweet flavor but I didn't taste much tea flavor. I really liked this drink for the strong tea flavors. My husband got the House Special Milk Tea that has tapioca, oats, and their four seasons milk tea. This drink was really unique because they added oats to it! The oats add a nice nutty flavor and have a nice bite to it similar to barley. It was nice that the oatmeal wasn't mushy. The tapioca wasn't too hard or too soft, they were cooked to perfection! This drink is quite filling as almost every sip had oatmeal in it. The toppings in their drinks are perfectly balanced. You don't get a bunch of leftover topping at the bottom of your cup after you finish drinking your drink. However as for their four season milk tea, I think the milk waters down their tea flavor which makes the drink less enjoyable. This drink was ordered with 70% sweetness and less ice as well but I think it will taste better at 100% sweetness. Next time I come here, I would probably skip their milk teas. They have a good variety of teas on their menu. I would definitely come back to try their other teas! For those looking for a spot to study, they have a bunch of tables set up next to outlets and they even provide free WiFi! Their shop is very well lit, making it an ideal spot for studying while sipping away at your yummy boba.

Yelp
This new tea shop is next Yamitsuki Ramen. It's clean and bright with some seatings. I like the bobba because it's fresh and not sweet. The paper cup is sturdy even for a hot tea. Service was nice and got my tea right away.

Yelp
cute and trendy boba spot with lots of options! i got the strawberry four seasons milk tea (50% sweet). i really enjoyed the first few sips, but the drink felt heavy fast. the milk coated my tongue and left an unpleasant aftertaste, and i was not able to finish my drink. i still think the drink was solid, it was just not what i was looking for after a filling dinner. service was fast, and i would definitely be interested in returning to try some of their other drinks. they have a fairly large menu with a good mix of both classic and fun drinks!

Yelp
I came on their soft opening, so it was pretty hectic inside. After a bit of a wait, I was able to order, though they told us that they were sold out of their "oat," so I didn't get to try the House Special Milk Tea. Instead, I ordered the Strawberry Four Seasons Milk Tea. I thought the Strawberry Four Seasons Milk Tea was good and unique; I was worried that it would taste just like strawberry milk, but they did a good job of making sure that the tea flavor came through. I would come back again to try the other drinks!

Yelp
My jasmine green tea with 50% sugar and 30% ice was undoubtably high quality. Service, on the other hand, is a different story. Because I didn't tip (it's a simple DRINK and tipping culture is OUT OF HAND), I had a feeling that my 30% ice wasn't accommodated as there was abnormally large amount of ice. Usually, I would overlook this, but I noticed that the cashier was talking to another girl in the back, and they made eye-contact with me. Not in a very nice way, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. If you weren't going to accommodate my ice option, why'd you ask in the first place. Still rating this place fairly high since it's a cool place, but not for me.

Yelp
Delicious milk tea and fruit teas and plenty of seating! The store is large and you can people watch from the seats near the window if you want. Most people come in and order their drinks to go. I've never really had to wait more than 5 minutes getting drinks here. I loved them in New York and am happy to support them in Philly!
google avatar

Brittny S.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere walking in. Their decor was trendy and functional. I ordered the peach oolong TJ. It was delicious. Wish there was a location in my home state. The employees were quiet but worked quickly taking our orders and preparing the drinks.
google avatar

Yelp
Was looking for something refreshing so ordered their seasonal drink, the grape green tea TJ. Ordered it at 30% sweetness and it was at a perfect level! Very delicious, service was quick and friendly. Lots of seatings available!
google avatar

Eleni J.

Yelp
It's drizzling today, so there were not many people there when I arrived. I love their interior design and the staff are very friendly. I had their house special tea at the 30% sugar level, which turned out great.
google avatar

Jo L.

Yelp
Amber oolong hot 30% sugar $6.48 - strong tea flavor but would not say it was a great balance of milk and tea. Felt more like I was drinking watered down tea. Would give this place another shot if someone I was with wanted to try.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Very authentic Taiwanese bubble tea. They are a bit unique as what they specialize in is adding oats (I think barley) to their drinks. So make sure to not order a drink with oats if you prefer your drinks more smooth. Their drinks aren't overly sweetened either. More tea taste than sugar, which is a good thing.

Yelp
A new tea place in Chinatown. The menu is smaller, simple compared to other milk tea places. The location is also smaller. It's nice place. The service was okay. It took me awhile to decide what to order. My go to milk tea is still Kungfu Tea.
google avatar

Tiffany Z.

Yelp
I have been getting their house's special milk tea since the grand opening, and it has yet to be consistently good. When it was good, it was GOOD; when it wasn't.. it tasted like water with bubbles and oats. Their bathroom has been unavailable for a minute, too, and I can definitely smell the bathroom near the cashier. I hope they fix this issue.
google avatar

Tiffany N.

Yelp
The milk tea duo was my favorite. It had pudding and grass jelly in it and it was sweet just the way i like it
google avatar

Christine H.

Yelp
Their tea is very authentic including the ones without sugar. I enjoyed every moment. The ambience was very calm. The only caveat is they do not usually have boba made until 11 am after opening hours.
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
Food: The strawberrry milk tea and the honey amber oolong milk tea is so good. Service: Such friendly staff. They were able to accommodate our needs. Ambiance: Such a cute store. Plenty of seating. Cute decor. Overall such a cute place to get boba
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered the house special milk tea, 70% sugar with 70% ice. I didn't like it. And my friend had the other milk tea I forgot what it's called and she didn't like it either.

Yelp
Im a native Californian living in Philly for school, and I have got to say. This is by far one of the best tea shops I've had. I highly recommend the Honey Amber Oolong Milk Tea!! The people that work there are always nice and of course the inside is nothing short of what I am used to in California. Definitely my new go to boba shop here in Chinatown.

Audrey D.

Yelp
Drinks are good. But why they don't turn the AC on? It's middle of June, heat waves coming soon. Worry about the employees who work there. It's like stepping into a Korean Spa. Jesus
google avatar

Ray L.

Yelp
They have their soft opening today and the speciality boba with oats is very interesting

Gabriela V.

Yelp
so so yummy in my tummy pricing in fair for the amount you get, taste is delicious, service great, and the place is so pretty and has comfy seating. I love the drinks there and me and my friends went so many times while visiting the city!!

Omega E.

Yelp
This was a clean crisp fun tea place. Went for boba and they delivered. Would definitely go again!!

Chris H.

Yelp
Got a hot drink and it came with a plastic sheet and straw instead of a coffee lid. The drink itself was good but plastics and hot drinks/food do not mix. Plastics lose stability and release carcinogens when exposed to hot foods and drinks. I ended up taking the plastic sheet off. For now I'm going to stay away from ordering hot drinks from here until this is updated.

Yelp
First time trying Teazzi, we tried the house special milk tea- not really a big deal- doesn't taste like your authentic milk tea and it has oats in it

jasmine l.

Yelp
This is not your typical bubble tea shop. I had a fruit tea with four seasons. Don't really know what four seasons but it tasted like herbal tea and I imagine it's probably good for you. It wasn't terrible just different. Personally unlikely to come again--it was neither terrible nor great but just not for me. People are friendly and it's very clean inside.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Got the Dark roast oolong milk tea w/ tapioca, 50% sugar. 50% was a little too sweet for me so I'll be getting 30% next time. Plenty of seats/tables but music was a tad too loud. Service was quick, menu was easy to understand.

Samarra M.

Yelp
traveled to Philly for a week and stumbled across this shop. it was amazing and we came back multiple times during the trip. inside is cute and clean. tea was delicious. highly recommend
