Ted & Wally's Ultra-Premium Ice Cream

The vanilla bean was fantastic! This old-fashioned ice cream is worth every calorie 😍 the service was fast, even when they had a line out the door-- if that doesn't tell you how good it is, I'm not sure what will. This is an old Market staple, especially on a hot summer day

The long lines are an indication to stop here! It moves super fast and was worth the wait. They serve mountain freezer made ice cream that is absolutely delicious with great prices. Servers were very knowledgeable with helping me pick gluten free options (celiac). Would absolutely stop here again.

I was downtown and hungry for ice cream, so I tried Ted and Wally's. I arrived at about 8:30 pm on a Monday evening, and the line was out the door! This place is popular! After waiting on line for about 30 minutes, it was finally my turn to order. I'm picky about ice cream, but several of the 20 or so flavors looked delicious! I wanted to try cinnamon, but they didn't know if it was gluten-free, so instead, I selected vanilla with a hot fudge topping. The vanilla was smooth, and the fudge topping was warm and delicious. This is a fresh churned ice cream, so it has a softer consistently than most store-bought ice creams. Vanilla isn't my first choice of flavors, so I likely would have rated them higher if flavors other than vanilla and chocolate were gluten-free.

The ice cream was rich and creamy. Although it can get crowded, it wasn't crowded when I got there probably since I went on a Sunday afternoon. The outside looks like a vintage service station and the inside had a modern industrial feel into it.

Cute icecream parlor with a good amount of inside seating. The vanilla icecream with raspberry jam was amazing.

Very expensive, very worth it. Take a date there and get a banana split, about $11 but you'll both be very full of very rich and delicious ice cream. They also have rather unique seasonal flavors that they rotate through. Worth a stop if you're in the Old Market, then you can walk off the calories in Heartland of America Park.

I think it's a law, you have to stop and visit Ted and Wally's every time you visit Omaha. LOL 😉 Always deliciously creative flavors.
