Teddy's Bigger Burgers

My God, these burgers are from heaven! Best fries of Maui, best burgers of Maui and best location! They also keep the place clean and they have good employees. My favor place to go when visiting the island.

Solid 3 star burger place. Kids combo was decent priced, patty was too small for the size of the the bun… too much bread and a little bland. Adult burgers are spendy, especially if you add any special topping. Do not come with sides, Cajun tots and a drink added almost as much as the burger which was just ok. Expected a little better for the money, portion was good size.

First of all the service was amazing! Whoever hired the staff should get a raise along with the awesome staff. The food was fantastic, served quickly and looked picturesque. If you want great food with an island flair, I would definitely recommend stopping by for a bite to eat.

Place was just ok. Service was alright, seating was fine, food was average, not good not bad. Kids burger and fries were a little bland. Cheese is extra.

BEST MEAL OF OUR TRIP!! Spent 9 days on the Island and went to all the “popular” spots and was so disappointed in the food. Stopped by here on our last night and left so happy! Staff was kind and welcoming, helpful and all had smiles. Restaurant was clean and well maintained. The food was delicious and everything we could have wanted! Burgers, fries, tots, onion rings and chicken tenders. All of it hit the spot! The tangy mayo was a hit! This place is an Island gem!

This place is legit. Stopped by here on our way to the airport and thought it would be good based on the reviews, but exceeded expectations by far! Might be the best burger I’ve ever had. Got the Hawaiian… so fricken good. Awesome last meal before leaving the island!

Amazing burger, must try the cheese curds, too!! 5 star 🌟 service!!! Warren was exceptional, he gave top notch service to me and my dog. We enjoyed the outside and he did the little things that matters the most to a dog mom. Food and service, we highly recommend! Thanks Warren 😊

Classic burger joint with a twist! Many fun options to have your burger the way you want it. We went with the 1/3 lb Hawaiian (Teriyaki & Pineapple) and Son of a burger with Bacon and Cheddar. Both were extra tasty. Onion rings are as close to perfect that we've ever had -crunchy, sweet and the onions didn't pull out! Fries were crispy and well seasoned. Staff was helpful and provided great service. Highly recommend!

Went here for lunch. When we got there and it wasn't busy. The lady on the counter was polite and helpful. I'm visiting Maui for work and I heard they give Kamaaina discount and I asked the lady and she said they are not giving any discounts right now. The reason why they are not is because Teddy's is not busy and the discount will continue when they get busier. What in a world!!! Omg! If you give the local people discounts they will support, making a few is better than making nothing. The atmosphere was just like any other Teddy's. You go too. One thing the food was hot and good. The service was okay and could've been better since there was only one other person. She made the music to loud, however I asked her to turn it down and she did after waving my hands to get her attention. All in all I don't think I will be back especially a large milkshake is $15. Ridiculous

If you like burgers, be sure to check out Teddy's. You won't leave hungry. Our family visits every time we're on the island. There are so many options, you might actually have difficulty ordering, lol. Teddy's portions sizes are more than adequate. They're admittedly, a lil pricey. However, you'll definitely get your money's worth. Some of our group's favorite include: the Blue Wave, Son-of-a-Burger, Bacon-me-Crazy, the Bacado, and the furikake fries. Hope you visit and enjoy as much as we did!

The burger was good, but wow this place was $$$$$$$. $25 for a burger, onion rings, and drink. My party of 2 paid $50 before tip on two burgers, the side, and we shared the drink. They upcharge for any toppings (including the lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and sauce that typically comes standard on a burger). The service was friendly, but it took 20-25 minutes for our food to come out, so not a quick stop for lunch. The onion rings were hot and crispy. I'd say try it if you don't mind the sticker price and if you have at least an hour for lunch.

I was really craving a burger and we came here. They were a bit understaffed so it took a little while to get our order. Each burger is quite big and the single patty was plenty for me. I feel like the double patty would be too much meat compared to the toppings and bun. I like that they have a menu list of all their popular burger combos and I picked rhetorical Hawaiian one with pineapple and a teriyaki burger. It was delicious and I loved their French fries as well.

I wish I can leave a 0 star but unfortunately I cannot do that. A few days ago I ordered a university with a milk shake i have found plastic in the burger and I was grossed out I instead started to eat my fries and my milk shake I noticed a odd taste in the shake and thought nothing of the next day my husband noticed I was very pale and I had to go to the hospital they told me I had i have severe case of food poisoning. My husband called teddy's bigger burgers to ask them if the milk was expired and it was about 3 weeks ago. For any one who will be or has been eating there save your receipt and get a lawyer and do not I repeat do not eat hear unless you want to all most die from food poisoning

We found this local burger place and they have a wide variety of burgers. I tried the spicy one with jalapenos and their fries are good. The service is good and ambiance is giving vibe like diners.

Just off the main highway this is a great spot to grab a burger on the west side of the island. We were not disappointed. Everything was great. Highly recommend.

Stopped by after a day of snorkeling, we were starving. The five of us each had a burger that was delicious and the fries were excellent. Our family all agreed that the cheese curds were the best we've ever had. Fairly quick service and casual dining atmosphere.

Fresh made burgers that are definitely worth the wait. Deliciously seasoned, juicy and cooked to perfection! Definitely stop here when you're in town!

Double burger and fries were delicious. Old school Teddy's. I wanted to get a milkshake, but it was $15. I was already paying $29 for the burger, fries, large soda, and two special sauce.

My nephew , his 4-year old daughter & I went here Sat. afternoon. Ordered: chicken nuggets & fries, a burger & fries and onion rings, with 2 medium sodas & a small shake. The total was over $50! This is the kind of bill one expects at a restaurant with waiters and a regular meal (an entree, some veggies, etc.). You can eat a regular meal at a conventional restaurant for that kind of money. This is a bare bones burger joint charging like a place that has servers, a little ambiance.

This place has been on my mind since last night! It was so good the first time that I had to come back today immediately the next day to eat this again! And our cashier he was so friendly and sweet. Today I had the Kilian Burger single patty and it was amazing. I also had the umami fries with garlic, the best ever!

Ordered the Nom Nom Burger. It was generous in size with great flavor. Onion rings were perfectly crisp with great flavor. Fries were tasty. Atmosphere was diner like. Service was friendly. I'd go back again.

The food was served piping hot and in good time! Great service and the food was delish! The restaurant was a bit unkempt but I believe that was due to the business of the place. We shared the Hawaiian burger - it was huge! Two large patties, grilled pineapple and teriyaki sauce. It was great!

Teddy's is a great burger place, full of nostalgia from the 60's &70's. Surfboards on the wall, rock and roll in the background and a rack of black T-shirt's for sale with Teddy's logo and classic cars on the shirt, like a 55 Chevy. They use top quality meat and they have like 20 different varieties of burgers. It's a small and happy place and always busy. If you're in west Maui give it a try.

I enjoy getting a triple burger and splitting it with my husband. It's so big I have a hard time biting into it. Great service Gilbert was super nice. I love the old music reminds me of the old days. Tried a shake for the first time. There wasn't any peanut butter taste to it but Gilbert made it perfect the second time. Mahalo!!

Stopped in here for dinner. They are counter service style. Reminiscent of a 50's dinner the place is fun and hip. If you want burger options, this is your spot! They offer 1/3, 2/3, and one pound burgers with a variety of toppings. There's turkey burgers, veggie burgers, chicken, and fish. The sides include fries, onion rings, and tots. The milkshakes are fantastic. Definitely spent more than intended, but the food was delicious.

We heard this was a local favorite so we decided to check this place out. We've been mostly eating seafood, poke during our trip here in Maui and wanted a bit of some comfort food. I ordered their nom nom burger (garlic seasoning, swiss, bacon, grilled onions) with tator tots and everything tasted absolutely delicious. Prices are reasonable. Credit cards are accepted and there's plenty of parking.

Aloha! This place is pretty tasty! The burgers are good sizes, fries taste great, and ingredients all appear to be (and taste) fresh! Prices are honestly pretty steep, but for the cost you at least get a good burger. The service was awesome, staff were lovely and kindred; they also were helpful! The environment is clean, ambiance is fun and cheery, and all around keeps the "aloha air" ablaze. Come here if you've got a craving for some good burgers! (Though keep in mind your wallet may be a little light after!!)

Inside was musty and hot. I think the AC was down. We ate outside since it was cooler. Majority of the tables were dirty and so was the area near the drinks station. The ambiance inside was a disappointment. Upon ordering, our cashier was a bit rude and seemed irritated when I couldn't understand when he was asking how we would like our meat done. He spoke so fast, couldn't understand a thing. This is our first time here so we didn't know they cook medium rare, etc We ordered 3 Pastrami Swiss Burger and 4 Bacado. I'd give 3/5 stars for the Pastrami burger. It was a bit dry. I think Mayo or some kinda sauce would've made it top notch. We ordered 7 burgers combos and 2 kids meals that came up to about $160. Definitely pricey. Food is good but not great which is a shocker seeing how expensive it is. Nothing special. The overall customer experience and cleanliness is what knocks this down to 2 stars for me.

If you're in the islands and you're looking for a good burger at a joint that rocks a really cool 60's/Beach Boys vibe, you've got to pay Teddy's a visit. The theme is carried out throughout the restaurant. They offer a plethora of different burgers all labeled with appropriate Hawaiian names. They offer lots of different toppings, different sized burgers, chicken, and awesome sides like onion rings, tater tots, cheese curds, and of course French fries. Everything we ordered was very tasty. Definitely a great place to visit for a burger while you're in Oahu or Maui, or I noticed they even have stores in Japan, the Philippines, and Iowa! The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Give 'em a try, you'll be glad you did...

We've been coming here every year since our first trip to Maui several years ago. The service here is awesome, and the food is amazing. The burgers are top quality, melt in your mouth goodness and there are so many great combinations of burgers you can get off the menu but I just prefer the basic cheeseburger. The onion rings are delicious!!! Also this may be the one meal you have in Maui that doesn't break the bank! Enjoy!

It's been over 3 years since I visited the Islands and ate at Teddy's. Hands down, this is definitely one of my favorite places to grab burgers--I love their tots! The vibe is totally 60's ish music, the surfboard decor is cool. They staff is really friendly. If you're looking for a cheap burger, this is not the place for you, expect to spend at least $13 per burger (base plus--$9 and the extra price posted for that particular burger--between $3-$5, but worth it!). It's 1/3 lb. of meat plus the fixings that come with the whatever you choose as the specialty choice. Expect to use a lot of napkins while eating!! We ordered the Woodinville, NomNom and Aiea. It was soo tasty and was all over my hands messy! All of the speciality selections are good and you won't be disappointed with whatevah you choose. We also upgraded the combo meals from a drink to a shake--nice and thick. Well worth a visit if you're on this side of the island. I hear they will be opening another location in Kahului--looking forward to that.

Delicious juicy burgers that will fill you up. Ordered a sode of onion rings that were nice and crispy. Fries have a good seasoning.

If you're in the mood for a good burger this is the spot! Food: immediately was blown away the burger menu they have here. They pretty have every burger combination you can think of here & if you're still not satisfied by those options you can also create your own. I can't remember the name of the burger I ordered but it came with bacon, avocado, & all kinds of other yummy stuff. The burger was HUGE in size & the patty was cooked to perfection. I love how flavorful the burgers are here all for a good price. I also ordered the onion rings (good), bacon cheese fries (highly recommend) & the jalapeño poppers which I honestly could have skipped, not my favorite. Overall, great food & worth the trip. Service/atmosphere: service here is friendly & the food comes out fast. Plenty of indoor seating along with some outdoor seating. This location is in a plaza so easy to find with plenty of parking. Overall, great experience!

Glad to see Teddy's is open again Truly big burgers!!! .... so I ordered the smaller version of the Volcano Burger with Kileuea Fire BBQ Sauce Luckily I ordered the sauce on the side..... it was too spicy hot for me. The fries were good too. The shop is no frills - but clean.

The burger was good, fries were excellent. The two star rating is for the dirty restaurant. The order counter was filthy and many of the tables had not been wiped clean (we arrived as soon as they opened). The condiment station was a scary sight. Ketchup and mustard dispensers were not clean and clogged with days old build up. Ugh. Will never go back to this location.

Ok, we've been loyal Teddy's customers for literally decades, beginning with the original Oʻahu store when my wife and I were UH Mānoa students, but I'm done. Prices have gone up at least 30% and, while yes they are good burgers, $35 per burger, shake, and fries combo is beyond what I'm willing to pay. Further, we asked for a couple of simple specifics- no tomato on one and sauce on the side so they wouldn't get soggy driving home. Neither happened. The fries, which are usually stellar, were soggy as well. We can go to a good restaurant for those prices and get better food. Sorry Teddy's, but we're done.

I was reluctant to have burgers during my visit to Hawaii but one trip to Teddy's made me a fan! We arrived just 30 mins short of closing time but there were still a lot of customers. I immediately loved the retro style diner feel of the restaurant but they only had outdoor seating. The order counter has a display showing all the different preset burger styles. If you want a cheaper option, you can customize your own. I ordered the Kapiolani burger which comes with lettuce, onions, pepper jack cheese, garlic sauce, and avocado. We also ordered a small umami style fries with garlic butter, furikake and sriracha aioli. Our food took 25-30 mins to wait which seems like a common trend in Maui. But damn, the burger was so good. The price is double what I would pay for 5 guys, or shake shack in NYC but it's significantly larger and loaded with goodies. The party was grilled to a perfectly done medium, slightly pink and soft in the middle. The avocado was arranged beautifully in a spiral of slices and the textures and flavors on the burger worked really well. If you like strong flavors, you would like this burger. The fries came as a generous portion. They were surprisingly greasy from the REAL garlic butter and extremely spicy from the sriracha aioli. Otherwise, they were excellent fries. Teddy's burgers are worth the higher price! The burgers provide an explosion of flavors and textures.

Great big burgs!! Mahalo guys I follow u in insta & always loving the burger pics. Finally got out to a location, Lahaina it was, and had some great burgs! Did the bleu wave big burg, with everything. Delicious!! Reasonable price, easy parking in Lahaina gateway. Loved it! They're cooked med with some sauce lettuce pickle onion etc. then the bacon & bleu. Bro had the original it was awesome. We rented a car ya know & tried to hit the pioneer inn for a burg. OMG what a struggle down there in old Lahaina to park and really not my thing. Turned around & got the F outta dodge. We were gonna hit teddy's anyway and thank god we did. It was great & saved the day. Great vacation & finally hit teddy's! Mahalo 5 stars.

I am usually not a fan of Teddy's in Honolulu because my burgers always came out cold with soggy buns. However, the Teddy's here in Maui made me changed my mind and now I am craving their burgers. I went to this place at around 11:30am. There was no line so I was able to order right away and get a table. At around noon, that's when this place gets packed. I ordered the Kapiolani burger with a side of sweet potato fries. Kapiolani: This burger includes pepperjack cheese, pickles, onions, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. This was a very good burger. The patty was moist and tasty. The buns were perfectly toasted. The melted cheddar cheese on top of the lettuce was a nice touch. This was not all like the burgers I've tried at Teddy's S Beretania. Sweet potato fries: The sweet potato fries were good and crispy. However, the only issue I had was when the basket came out and the sweet potato fries were burnt black. I told the server that my family and I usually order sweet potato fries and it never came out like this. The server made an excuse about how the oil was old and they never changed it yet so that color was natural. I asked them to give us another basket since I was sure the fries were burnt because it was over cooked, not because of the oil. The server did comply and bring us another basket of sweet potato fries which looks way better than the first basket. Orange and crispy, which was how it supposed to look. Overall, beside the issue with sweet potato fries, everything was good. Service was quick and the dining area was clean. We came here a couple more times and the foods as well as the service have been consistent.

The burgers & services were great, but the confusing pricing structure needs to be explained more thoroughly. Additionally, upselling fries and a beverage/combo is always a good practice, but charging for a fountain soda AND a shake is not cool - especially when I specifically said that I would like a shake for my beverage. I was charged for my Greek burger, fries, beverage AND a shake As the consumer, I should have questioned or clarified my order - as a cashier or order taker, proper service would have been to help clarify my order by confirming that I wanted both a fountain soda that came with a combo AND/or a shake. An ability to review an itemized order and pricing would be helpful, as I would've noticed the overcharge.

This is our first one pound burger experience, but we reasonably cheated and split it. Before ordering the cashier asked us if we'd be okay with a thirty minute wait, and based on the reviews and pics, we gladly said yes. They give you a number after you order. Guess what. That number corresponds to the table they want you to sit at. The tater tots, extra crispy, were what you'd hope Sonic would do. Perfectly crispy and salted. The root beer float was cold and creamy. The burger satisfied, but not sure if it was worth a couple of Uber rides.

staff was friendly. menu is huge but easy to read. Clean classic diner joint, with cool vibes. Burgers were cooked at a perfect medium as requested and delicious ! Will come again !

Casual beach diner ambiance with lots of tables in the cool air conditioning inside and several outside with umbrella's for shade. Pleasant and helpful service. Not very fast but not super slow either, and they brought our shakes out to tide us over. The burgers were actually amazingly good if you like a nice fresh grilly burger not too fatty but still very juicy and tender! Only draw back was ice chunks in the shake.

Loved this place enough we recommended to friends who also loved it. Take your time to order. You have to review the board at the entrance and we felt rushed. I should have reviewed online before I came. So much selection. Huge portions and friendly staff! Will visit again.

Burgers were very unique , the choice of toppings was more than a typical burger place which add to the the unique flavor's, the fried pickles , onion rings were great, overall you can't go wrong eating at Teddy's for a great burger

I'm kinda torn between a 3 and 4 star. Burgers and fries were good; the buns did not fall apart. I order my burger medium but it was more medium rare....I was super hungry so I didn't take it back. With that said the prices seemed very expensive....$11 for a milkshake and $6 for the combo option...but we are in Hawaii and I know everything is expensive. I was looking for a home run but got a double instead. My and I talked about maybe our review would have been different if we would have chosen their specials

The burgers here are very flavors, lots of topping choices as well so you can really make what you want! We also had the umami fries which were really good but they could use more sriracha aioli on them, but the friend themselves were perfect; crunchy on the outside soft on the inside! This place is also way less busy then some other places in Lahaina but it's one of the better places we ate at :)

My second time coming to this location and it is still my favorite burger place! Great service and quality burgers that's worth every penny. The umami fries are to die for. It's a must add on for sure.

This is one of the only burger places in town. They are big and juicy but they lack flavor. It tastes just like bland meat. The burgers lack that charbroiled taste. The burgers are big and the fries plentiful. They just need to add some seasoning. They didn't even offer dips for the fries or onion rings. I think if you step up the flavor you'll increase your business. Location - Foodland Farms shopping center Parking- plenty. Atmosphere- Pretty Mellow

We stopped in as our family had a late flight out of OGG. Before a fun evening at the movies, everyone was a little hungry. Jazz was absolutely the most fantastic host. His energy and personality are infectiously positive! Garrett cooked up the best burger I have EVER had in my whole life... and I have eaten a whole lot of hamburgers! What a fun meal for all six of us from age 9 to 86!

I love this Teddy's!! It's in the old cannery shopping center across from the Safeway and the food truck park area in Lahaina and I appreciate the options and hospitality they have here. I really enjoyed my burger and their onion rings are sooo good!! We came here when in was not very busy at all. It was nice to dine inside just before sunset and I will for sure come here again when I come to visit! Love Teddy's Burgers!!
