Google
Great tacos. Honestly. They are small but delicious. And a nice assortment of beer and drinks to choose from. The Tacochino and grilled shrimp tacos are amazing. The Al Pastor is just “alright”. It needs more juice and pineapple for my liking.

Google
A hidden Pasadena gem in plain sight on E. Colorado Blvd. between N. Sierra Bonita Ave. & N. Bonnie Ave., Teddy's Tacos Cocina is a casual eatery serving delicious Mexican food thay has a clean, fresh & homemade taste. Fresh, quality ingredients; savory salsas; friendly & fast service; spacious dining area; big screen tv; laidback vibe; limited parking spaces in the rear; reasonable prices; highly recommended. Support your local small businesses & restaurants.

Google
This Mexican is great with tasty food. We had the Tacos (various meats), chicken Quesadilla and Nachos (pictured) couldn't recommend the food more highly cooked fresh while we waited!

Shawn S.

Google
Had their catering and the tacos were great. Lots of flavor and well presented, the two bite tacos are easy to eat and filling. They had a good selection and all of them were tasty. The trays were well organized and easy to grab for a large crowd, would definitely recommend them for catering.

Every time you walk into this restaurant, the vibe is absolutely amazing. The atmosphere is always fresh and full of energy thanks to the music one visit might be old school hip-hop and R&B, the next you’ll hear country, Banda, or even modern pop and house. It keeps things exciting and makes every experience feel unique. But the real star here? The specialty tacos. Hands down, some of the best in Southern California. They’re packed with flavor, made with care, and honestly set a new standard for what tacos should taste like. The quality is consistent, and no matter what you order, you’re going to be impressed. On top of that, the pricing is unbeatable for SoCal. You get top-tier food and an atmosphere that makes you want to keep coming back without breaking the bank. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the food and the vibe, but this restaurant does it effortlessly. If you’re looking for a spot that combines amazing food, unbeatable tacos, and an always-fun atmosphere, this is it.

Google
Love the tacos here 🌮 We got the asada street tacos, potato tacos, sides of beans/rice, and the cilantro lime agua Fresca to-go and everything was great! So excited to go back and eventually watch dodgers games here when it’s the season again 😇💙 Staff is really nice, overall a great experience at this store!

Maddie P.

Google
Wow- absolutely delicious! This cute little taco place in Pasadena is so perfect for a small lunch or a more indulgent meal. The staff here were really friendly and it definitely has a neighborhood favorite kind of vibe. I'm not from the area, but my dad works nearby and while visiting he insisted on bringing me here. Teddy's Tacos did not disappoint- can't wait to visit again when I'm back in town!

Google
Wasn’t sure what to expect when this place comes up - their tacos are great! Had their pastor, Asada, carnitas, and their papas. So good. Street style. Their sauces are delicious, if not hot enough. Chill atmosphere inside and they had aguas frescas too. Their avocado sauce was dope.
google avatar

Rachel Q.

Yelp
My new fav! Employees are always kind & attentive. Right across from PCC and they offer a little discount for student! (not sure if it's all students or just PCC tho). The red tacos are super similar to quesabirrias but made with barbacoa...fireee. Comes with consume and limes just amazing.
google avatar

Lucy T.

Yelp
I got one of their bowls, which was a delicious! I got the chicken with Peruvian beans, rice, and cabbage! I loved the flavor because it had the perfect amount of saltiness and flavor! I loved how it came with avocado! I had never tried Peruvian beans and I have to say these were delicious! The great part is that they boil the beans so it's much healthier! The service is exceptional! The place is really cute and cozy! I recommend you go try them!

Yelp
I cannot stress enough how the Mahi nachos are the best dinner of all time. If had a bad day at work or if I just want to celebrate the weekend with food - these are my go-to. Service is also great, Teddy is usually taking orders and he's super friendly. He remembers my order, recalled that I brought my patents to enjoy the delicious food, just hands down the best Mexican food in Pasadena in my opinion.
google avatar

Yelp
Was waiting for my nephew and suddenly craved nachos. Searched on Yelp and found this place. The photos on Yelp looked yummy. Also, yelpers noted that the nachos were great. Decided to call to place an order. I had a pleasant experience thru the phone. The gal was patience and answered my questions. Advised me that the nachos will be ready in 10 minutes. Yay! Free parking in front. Yay! Opened the box and couldn't help it. It looked so good...Had to take a few bites in the car before heading home lol They provided some sauces on the side, but it wasn't even necessary. The nachos were so yummy already. My mom thought it was delicious as well. Usually, she doesnt like beans in nachos or burritos. However, she didnt complain at all about the nachos. In fact, it was so good that she wanted to dine in lol Will be back =)
google avatar

Yelp
Still one of the best taco places in Pasadena with their mulitas, burritos, tacos and nachos. Some of the best Birria tacos around. Also beer and margaritas and great guacamole sauce! TVs for sports and parking in the rear. Still reasonably priced! PCC students get 10% off. Three types of salsa. Churros too!
google avatar

Yelp
Teddy's Cocina has become a very popular Mexican spot. They have streamlined the ordering process and there is helpful and friendly service from everyone there. All the recipes are family originals. The menu has many combinations available. They have specials available daily. They have a selection of draught beers and NA beverages. Plenty of seating in an open layout with counter seating near the kitchen. Customers include PCC students and neighborhood and business folks. Teddy's has become a destination because of the quality of food and service. I enjoy the street tacos, maximo quesadilla, and carne asada or chicken burrito. The flavors are bright with just enough spice. They offer a selection of salsas. PS, order the warm chips with guacamole.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Delicious tacos! Stopped by for lunch and there was a line, but it moved fast. Plenty of seating. Parking is a bit tough since it's next to PCC, although there is a dedicated lot behind the restaurant for 30 min. Ordered 3 tacos - 1 al pastor and 2 asada. Good flavor and perfect portion for lunch.

Yelp
It's Taco Tuesday! Teddy was in the house tonight. Located directly across from Pasadena City College, there was ample parking on the street. Teddy's Cocina specializes in fresh, specialty tacos to enlighten your taste buds. I have tried their sister location in City of Industry! I am a fan of their quality. I paid a visit to get the deal of the week: 2 Street Tacos for $5.25. Ordered the Asada, Al Pastor, and Carnitas. Highly recommend the Asada and Al Pastor! The meat was flavorful with onions and cilantro. Don't forget the mango salsa and green salsa. The spice level definitely has a kick and complements the Tacos well. Support this local family-owned establishment :)

Yelp
Got this recommendation from a relative. We've been back three times. Constantly really great food . We bring our out of town friends here who want a taste of good local food
google avatar

Sophie D.

Yelp
Great food for a great price. Got the shrimp burrito with chips/salsa and watermelon aguas frescas. So good and made fresh. Service was fast and very kind people. The place is decorated super cute. You can tell it's family owned. Lots of parking in the back. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Trying out a new taco spot by Pasadena City College. The lucha libre mask got my attention, the place was spacious and had tasteful decor. Liked the Latin luchador flare, and matching colors through the restaurant. The owner, Teddy, took my order today as their to-go system was down. He was considerate and accommodating due to the inconvenience. Didn't really explain the menu or their specialties but will try more if after I eat this order. Trying the potato tacos, chicken taquitos, Barbacoa Torta and Quinceañera soup.
google avatar

Yelp
Always a good meal at Teddy's Tacos. Stopped by on a Saturday right after open and there was lots of seating. I had to get my favorite: potato tacos. So crispy and delicious. All the toppings are so fresh, too. My sister and shared the loaded fries too and absolutely demolished them they definitely hit the spot. Everything was piping hot and fresh. I love this spot, I wish there was a location in OC. Have to come back again for my next trip to Pas!
google avatar

Darryl T.

Yelp
First off the service is always amazing! Teddy and his crew are always polite, friendly, and attentive to all customers. The food is always delicious and makes you want to try everything on the menu. I enjoy going there because everything is always good. Thank you Teddy and staff for delivering excellent food and service! See you soon!
google avatar

Luis D.

Yelp
Got some takeout from Teddy's. There is a parking lot and place was clean and casual vibe. Staff was friendly and helpful. We got the salad with pollo, carnitas burrito and the shrimp taco. The shrimp taco was excellent, grilled shrimp and super savory, top notch. The burrito with carnitas was also great, good rice and a generous portion. Overall great food and really good prices. I'm bumping up to 5 stars because of the value and overall vibe.

Yelp
I was craving a quesadilla which you can find anywhere, but i love trying new places and i came across Teddy's. After scrolling through their yelp review photos, i decided to try this place. The inside decor is really nice and different. It's also big and spacious. I ordered a regular carne asada quesadilla and chicken taquitos. They have so many salsa options and the guy who took my order let me try all of them at home! Their salsa verde is REALLY good as well as their guac. The asada was really cooked good and had a lot of flavor. (I picked it out my quesadilla) they have a lot of specialty tacos i would love to go back and try someday!!!
google avatar

Sophie V.

Yelp
This place is nice and clean on the inside, great lunch or dinner spot to eat in and enjoy the atmosphere. Service was 10 out of 10! My husband said his Carne Asada Burrito was delicious! I ordered a Bellas Bowl and they let me customize it. I got Carnitas & El Pastor with grilled veggies, extra cheese, sour cream, avocado and pico. It was really tasty!! 5 Stars! Thank you Teddy's Tacos!

Yelp
I've been coming to Teddy's Cocina on a pretty regular basis since they opened across the street from the PCC Library. I've come to appreciate their quality Mexican food, a big step above the chain restaurant alternative a block down the street. Since I'm a vegetarian, my options are somewhat limited -- I wish they had a veggie rice option. Here are the things I do tend to order: Vegetarian quesadilla: I like that this quesadilla comes with good quality grilled veggies, including jalapeños to lend some gentle heat. The Peruvian beans make the quesadilla more of a meal than a snack. The whole thing together is pretty delicious. It's what I order most often. Tostada salad: it normally comes with meat, but I ask them to throw on some grilled veggies instead. Plenty of lettuce, cucumber, onion, corn and beans make this a decent lunch choice. The cilantro lime dressing is pretty good as well. Tacos: I've ordered various combinations of their potato and "el vegano" tacos. These are also tasty and are a good alternative when I don't want the mega-cheesy experience of a quesadilla! Salsa: Although it's their mildest salsa, I usually get the verde just because I prefer green salsa. But they have a few other choices at varying levels of heat, and they're all good. I recommend trying more than one to see what you prefer. Service is prompt and courteous, and the restaurant is always clean and inviting if you plan to eat in. Expect a bit of a wait if you're there during lunchtime when PCC classes are in session, but it's never out of hand. I recommend Teddy's Cocina if you are near PCC and are looking for good Mexican food in a casual setting or for take-out. There's no reason to go to that big chain on the next block when you've got Teddy's right there!

Yelp
My favorite Mexican food in Pasadena! 10/10 the service is amazing and the food is delicious. I stop by at least once a week. The taquitos are so yummy and so are the tacos. My sisters love this spot as well so we love to go together for a quick bite. They are usually playing sports and have lots of room inside. Great spot in Pasadena.
google avatar

Julie P.

Yelp
It's one of my favorite places for tacos. It is directly across from Pasadena City College. They also have their own private parking in the back. I have tried their Street Tacos, House Tacos, chicken taquitos, Tostado salad, and churros. Everything is flavorful and beyond delicious. The owner, Teddy, is also so friendly and personable. He makes you feel welcome in his restaurant. The price point is good and the service is excellent. It's definitely a great place for a fun and relaxing time!
google avatar

Yelp
It was been years since we went out with our close friends. Since we were in town for the weekend. They suggested this great spot. They knew the owner since they go there frequently. The place is big and roomie. Large groups and parties can be held here. They have parking in the back but not so much. It's for pick up or a short stay. The staff and owner Teddy was so friendly. Not because our friends knew him but just genuinely. We ordered carne asada fries, nacho, burrito, rice bowl and 1 red mulita. Everything was great! The asada was delicious and had that flavor. Fries were cooked just right! I even got a churro from my Clover points and the owner was so nice and gave us chips and guacamole. That guacamole was so delish. They owner even gave us churros for dessert. I am very picky with my churros. Sorry I don't like Costco ones but this are on the level of OG street churros. It had the taste. my friend got the watermelon Aqua Fresca but I didn't try it. She usually gets it so it must be good. I would definitely come back here. You can watch the games have a beer and eat great food. It's right across PCC. They also have street parking.

BarbelleBunnie X.

Yelp
Food: delicious, fresh tasting, unique flavors especially the jalapeno tacos. the texture of the jalapenos was great in a taco form. Meat was tender and perfectly seasoned. Perfect amount of rice, beans and meat in the burrito. cucumber and lime drink was perfectly icy and had chia seeds too Interior lots of seating options, open and airy space with a touch of humor. warm colors on the walls Service the owner was the one who assisted us. super friendly & outgoing,, knowledgeable about his menu, ready to give us recommendations and served us the food himself. the raisins in the jalapeno tacos made me hesitant to order them but he explained how they added a touch of sweetness and we wouldn't even know they were there and he was right. listening in on his conversations with other customers it was clear he was a very personable. he even offered to cut our burrito in half since BBF and i were obviously sharing
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
I was here on a short business trip and stayed at a hotel close by. Not being familiar with the menu, the staff took time to explain the options as well as their Saturday special. I chose the three carne asada street tacos however you can choose to mix the variety and my mom decided to get fish, shrimp, and jalapeño combination. These tacos are some of the best tacos we've ever had. The restaurant appeared spotless. The carbonation in our soft drinks was on point. We had the privilege of meeting Teddy the owner, who gave us some helpful vacation tips. He didn't just make a meal, he made an experience. We will definitely be coming back and hopefully soon. I want to try their nachos. If you're ever in Pasadena, do yourself a favor, and add Teddy's Tacos to the top of your list. The prices are affordable and the churros are served warm with a smile.
google avatar

Yelp
Dulce is really great and always delivers with a genuine smile. I love the carne asada and guacamole.
google avatar

Emmelynn G.

Yelp
I thought the tacos were pretty solid! I got the asada and al pastor street tacos. Asada: juicy, not dry at all. Add the green sauce and lime, chef's kiss. Al Pastor: this one was interesting. A different flavor than other Al pastor I've had. I don't really know how to describe it... i think the marinade they use is a little sweeter than others? Not bad but I would stick with asada next time! My only complaint is that they are kind of slow... there were not many ppl at the restaurant. And I ordered 2 street tacos to go. I saw that my order was boxed up and ready but they went to wait on other tables for a while. All they needed to do was hand me the box. But the staff is very nice and friendly.
google avatar

Miriam C.

Yelp
Very original and great tasting menu where should I start? My favorite is Alta Store and they're jalapeño special taco it's not spicy. Try it. Great service great food and a wonderful family owned restaurant.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Great food. Fast service. I took advantage of the taco Tuesday sale and got 4 big, delicious tacos (2 pollo & 2 asada) for $10.50 plus tax. I will definitely return.
google avatar

Stephanie F.

Yelp
My new favorite taco place! Loved the salsas Presentation 100% Can't wait to go back :D
google avatar

Carol L.

Yelp
The al pastor burrito w/added cheese I ordered here was delicious! Their red sauce was also super tasty and had a great level of heat to it. I loved the Peruvian beans in the burrito and I felt that ratio of ingredients was perfect + the tortilla was also the perfect thick/thinness lols. The burrito was also quite huge and so I'll be having the other half for my next meal. Would recommend and will def be back again :)
google avatar

Subha R.

Yelp
We stopped here on the way back to San Francisco from San Diego for lunch. The front looked a little weird but there was ample parking in the back. Once we came in, we loved the ambience of the place. Great food. They change out the meat on the speciality tacos. And they all tasted awesome. Service got a tad slow. But I will still give it 5 stars.
google avatar

Abbey M.

Yelp
Ordered for delivery and food was delicious! We got one chicken taco, two asada, and three chicken taquitos. Food was super good and taquitos had the perfect amount of guacamole and sour cream on top of them. I would definitely order from here again!

Natasha A.

Yelp
This place is bomb. So fresh. So crisp. So tasty. Great service. Good for kids. Low key laid back setting. Super delicious, diverse flavors. Amazing agua Fresca.
google avatar

Jill G.

Yelp
My hubby and I went for taco Tuesday & I can say it was a good dinner. I got the three taco deal with a Jamaica drink. I tried the chicken, carnitas and asada tacos and they were all good, but my favorite was the asada. We ended you getting churros for dessert and that was a great way to end a yummy meal. The order of carne asada fries that came out to the table next to us right as we were leaving looked amazing. Oh, I'll definitely be back to try those!!
google avatar

Jundek J.

Yelp
I got the carne asada and al pastor street tacos- they were so good! They have THE best carne asada ever- the marinade is lovely and full of flavor. The service here is quite exceptional as well! My husband and I got the chance to try their Jalapeño taco (thank you Teddy!) and it was VERY good. I love how they put great attention to the marinades and again, service is simply amazing. This is my go to spot for tacos now...just too good. Also, I don't write reviews often but I had to write one for this place purely for its food and great service. I know a place is great if I still keep thinking about the food the next day. And it's the next day right now and all I can think about is when I can eat the street tacos again.
google avatar

Cassandra T.

Yelp
My family visited Teddy's Cochina just before closing on a Friday evening after my niece's graduation. Teddy stayed late to feed us without rushing himself and his crew to go home. The food was flavorful, fresh, and hot when it arrived at the table. We had eight in our party and were treated like his own family. MY family had a wonderful evening. Go by and try the tacos, you won't regret it
google avatar

david p.

Yelp
It's been a minute since I was here. After biting into my Red Mulita, I realized how misspent the last couple of months have been. It's truly is one of my favorite items served in any restaurant, anywhere. Teddy is the kindest business operator anywhere, and the IPA I ordered was super fresh.
google avatar

Therese G.

Yelp
Taco Thursday rocks at Teddy's! The Taco Thursday Deal is my favorite so far although there are so many dishes I can't wait to try. Choose from Rolled Chicken Or Potato Tacos and an Agua Fresca or soda of your choice for just $12.99. The tacos are fresh, crispy and crunchy. I also love the Jamaica Wine Maggie which is just $5 on Tuesdays or Thursdays. There are two sports screens going at any given time. Thursday night football or basketball, baseball or soccer, Teddy's is a great place to chill and enjoy tasty tacos! Cheers!

Rea B.

Yelp
Good Tacos. Nice Toastada salad .. the Cucumber Frescasa AMAZING. That's it. Just good food.
google avatar

Yule S.

Yelp
We just had two tacos for each person, almost $19. I have to say the taste was good but isn't worth the price. They were so tiny and three squeezed inside a small box, another was little bigger in a separate box. We had Tacochino, Jalapeño, Shrimp and Merlin Fish. Tacochino was a little sweet I guess the favor was from raisin, Shrimp was tender, good. Carne asada in Jalapeño was too hard and dry without any juicy. Service was ok, but the dining hall was empty I guess the whole industry isn't recovered back to the days before the COVID.
google avatar

Larry H.

Yelp
Consistently great food for takeout. I thought I'd placed a mobile order but wasn't sure, so I called, and the woman who took my call was so nice and helpful, and suggested taking my order during the call for faster service. Like above and beyond! Yes Chef! When I arrived, the place was spotless, I paid, staff were attentive, and I saw they had fresh halved and seeded jalapeños on the griddle. They looked beautiful. And then the woman who took my call gave me my order and acknowledged the call. Just so on point and lovely! I wish I had given a bigger tip! Next time for sure!
google avatar

Denise J.

Yelp
My husband ordered chicken taquito special, rice and beans and a drink. He said it wasn't dry or too crispy. The rice had a lot of flavor and the beans too. I had the Potato tacos, rice, beans and a drinks fountain or auga frecas, this was also a Thursday special. The owner was very nice and greeted us when we walked in. He took our order and brought our food. He let us know the salas available and gave us recommendations for our plates. Did I mention I had the same plat for lunch. It was that good. So I had to take my husband for dinner. So I did! The owner was very friendly and also spoke with other customers. We felt very welcomed and enjoyed eating where. This place is located in Pasadena across the street from Pasadena City College. It's a must to try. It's really good.
google avatar

Karina R.

Yelp
Super tasty and yummy tacos!! The rice and beans are bomb too! Great clean restaurant with upbeat music and big screen TVs to watch a Dodgers game! Teddy was behind the grill prepping our food! Excellent customer service, will be back again soon.

Raine A.

Yelp
Best carne asada burritos in town!!! Wonderful, kind, welcoming staff, fast service and great, filling food. They have a discount for students. Staff will remember your name and it feels like a glimpse into A+ mom and pop dining, as opposed to the common Chipotle. The seats are comfortable and sanitary and their playlist is pleasant alongside the sports TVs. I highly recommend visiting to anyone for a date, or just looking for an affordable bite to eat with prices and quality you can't really beat from my experience.
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
We went here for Taco Tuesday, but there was a special that was a better deal so we all ended up getting that. Tacos were good, but not the best I've had. The service was fantastic and there was nice vibe in the room that was much quieter than other Taco Tuesday places. The bonus here was that they had churros and any place that has churros can count on me going back.
google avatar

Michaela G.

Yelp
Cute place. We had 2 tacos al pastor loaded fries and two cokes. The cost over $30. The tacos are the smallest I've ever had. Gone in 3 bites. I had the house taco which I thought was good. My husband had the azteca which he said was alright. The fries were ok. Kind of boring in flavor.I definitely go back to have the house taco again if I feel the need to pay four dollars for a baby taco..
google avatar

Vanessa R.

Yelp
The food was amazing! The aguas frescas were bomb! I got the Cucumber and Lime which was to die for. I also got the street tacos - Al Pastor and Chorizo. They taste amazing! I'm very picky with my tacos and these did not disappoint at all! Customer service was excellent! We were even asked what radio station we would like to listen to and they personalized the music for us. We will definitely be coming back here!!!
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
Teddy's is one of my favorite taco places and they make unique flavored tacos as well! The location has plenty of parking in front and it's very spacious inside. The salsa they provide is plenty and 4 different flavors to choose from (the mango habanero is very spicy but sweet. It is really unique and I believe they make their own salsa). The food takes a very long time to be ready but it is worth the wait. The California and the Mahi Mahi are my favorites! They also have about 3 big tv screens in there for you to watch while you dine or wait for your food. They sell merchandise as well like tshirts. I give 4 stars only cause the wait is very long. But i do recommend their tacos!

Yelp
I'm from out of state and got so excited to get a burrito as in Texas they just aren't the same as at home. We did a 2 hour drive from San Diego to LA and getting to LA I called in an order. I was told 30 minutes. I show up to pick up my order and she says it's ready, please wait in line to pay. Wait in a 30 min Friday night packed line?!?!? For food already made and ready??? I walked out. Nice job wasting a $59 order. Silly.
