Where to Eat in Sequim and Port Angeles, Washington - Eater Seattle

"Sequim’s top Italian option aims to make everybody happy. The casual but stylish dining room feels right for both family dinners and date nights, and the menu is designed to suit a range of palates, offering pizza, old-school red-sauce dishes (lasagna, eggplant parm), and more sophisticated options like pillowy mascarpone gnocchi and Thai-spiced fettuccine alfredo." - Matthew Lombardi

The most delicious, quaint little spot in Sequim. We started with the carpaccio which I didn't get a picture of because we got too excited and ate it. 😄 They gave us a good portion of the thinnest sliced meat with a pile of arugula and the most divine Japanese dressing. For our entrees we ordered the bolognese and tortellini. With these dishes you could breathe in the flavor. The bolognese was perfectly balanced and salted. The pasta was peeeeerfectly thick and chewy. The tortellini had a generous amount of filling and the macadamia pesto was very tasty. We added chicken which was a little dry but it made the dish very filling. We split a bottle of wine that was from New Zeland and loved it. My husband is more of a red wine guy so the fact that he liked this one says a lot! My husband ordered the creme brulee for dessert. The custard was thick with flecks of vanilla bean throughout so you know they used real vanilla beans and not just extract. My dessert was an aperol spritz which was really refreshing! The staff were all very friendly and the atmosphere felt very relaxing and upscale. We sat outside which was breezy and peaceful. Can't wait to go back and try more of the dishes we couldn't decide between!

Google
Happy to give this restraunt 5 stars. So amazing the halibut special was great! Parmesian crusted halibut with mango salsa. Havn't had other dishes here, but looking at the menu its serious Italian cuisine. Prices reasonable for such. Very nice modern facility and excellent service.

Google
Super cute place, tasty food and good drinks. we ordered two salads, some garlic bread, old fashioned and Italian soda. The tiramusu was on point! definitely recommend that.

Google
I’ve been here a few times. The food is always good but a bit overpriced. It comes out presented nicely but isn’t hot. Seems to be prepackaged pasta, not made from scratch (if that’s important to you). We had the CALAMARI FRITTI, INSALATA DI BARBABIETOLE, TORTELLINI PIEDMONTESE, and SPAGHETTI CARBONARA BASTARDI.

Google
This place blew my mind. Highly recommend. Courteous staff. Excellent food. Even with wall to wall people everything felt effortless. I had the chicken Parm and requested Alfredo on my meat and marinara on my pasta. Totally accommodated and never scoffed at my request. Bread was a plenty and the TIRAMISU was to die for.

Yum. Yum triple yum. Our favorite place to go. The atmosphere is very nice & a lil more romantic setting. The garlic parm pizza dough knots are amazing! The Cesar salad comes with a anchovy on top so order without it if you don’t want to lose your appetite..learnt this the second trip around. We had the gnocchi, risotto & their hand tossed pizza. The spaghetti bolgnase was awesome. The dessert was super yummy. The tiramisu was soo fluffy & flavorful. The cocktails are pricey but worth it. Overall satisfied 2 out of 2 visits this summer. Our new favorite when we’re on the peninsula.

My dad loved mashed potatoes- he was dying and I was in Sequim visiting him for the last time. I stopped here while in Sequim June 20th 2021 on Father’s Day in the morning. I wanted to find a restaurant that would make my dad is favorite- mashed potatoes. I wanted good homemade ones, not the pre-made flakes. Tedesco’s was the only higher end rest restaurant I saw on my way to his house..and the door was open. I went inside, and they were preparing for lunch. The front reception said “I’m sorry, we are not open yet.” I told her of my mission to find some really good mashed potatoes for my dad who was dying. She went and got the chef from the kitchen. The chef came out and listened to my request. He replied “that is so weird. We don’t usually make mashed potatoes, but I was going to make some for a special tonight! I’ll make a big batch do you can come pick some up for him.” I went back around 4pm and picked up the mashed potatoes- they were wonderful. My dad was so happy- he ate the entire big bowl all by himself. It was the last meal he ate. He died 3 days later. What an amazing set of people run this place. They stopped their busy day to make a really special moment happen for me and my dad. I tell this story all the time, because it was so amazing and full of love. I figured I should put it on the review so everyone can know that Tedesco’s food is full of LOVE 💗. Thank you so much for my precious memory.

Google
The decorations were nice, but the "garlic kisses" were not what I was hoping for. They're very chewy- however the Cheese Pizza and Spaghetti was great! They gave large portions, so you'll want to take some home or share it with someone.

Yelp
Dining at Tedesco's always feels like a special occasion. It's usually busy, so make sure to book a reservation. Service is great, even when there's a full house. They have good Cocktail and Wine selections. Our favorites are La Bella Vita and Steve McQueen. We have enjoyed pretty much all the food we've had. Our favorites are Calamari Fritti, Lasagna Asiatico and Spumoni. There is only one item I would not recommend and that's the Garlic Kisses. The knots were dense, doughy and didn't seemed fully cooked. However, the complementary bread is excellent. We come back every time we're in town.

Nanci E.

Yelp
This would be a pass for me to go another time. Food was less than good- we ordered a pizza and lasagna. Service staff seemed stressed out, so the vibe wasn't pleasant. It has such great potential! They need to tighten it up and enjoy being busy!

Yelp
This was our 4th visit to Tedesco's in about two years. My favorite is always the crispy capelli noodles with shrimp and scallops. This time, I was super surprised that the dish now costs $36! One dish! Crazy. It's a super delish dish but c'mon, that's super expensive for three shrimp and three scallops with some crispy noodles! Jon had the Capellini Romantica for $24. It's vegetarian and really heavy on the tomato sauce. He preferred my dish over his since mine was a white wine sauce that was very nice. Service was fine... but it was super uncomfortable that the waitstaff made it a big deal that we didn't have reservations thus were not allowed to sit at a window table. We were relegated to one of two "walk in " tables in the back. The ambiance by the windows are nice... sitting in the back is not so nice. With drinks and a a salad, our tab was over $100 for 2 people. Great food... but super expensive!

Yelp
Start off with a warm welcome at the door. Graciously seated at a table and soon sipping a delicious cocktail with a side of warm bread, butter, and oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. My dinner was a delicious plate of perfectly cooked nest of julienne white and orange carrots, snow peas, broccoli, and red onions surrounding pasta and a tower of eggplant parmigiana. I'm fat and happy b

Yelp
I've dined here a few times and never loved it. Over the weekend we were craving tiramisu, so we stopped in to get some coffee and dessert. The coffee machine was broken, so we got an order to go. The tiramisu was horrible!! It's nothing at all like a true tiramisu. It was very watery and weak flavored.

Becca B.

Yelp
A great place to grab drinks with friends. The drinks are fantastic and they do not skimp on alcohol. The food...for the price average of $25+ per meal, I expect A LOT more FLAVOR. Where is the Italian seasoning??? We ordered the calamari, tastes like unseasoned bread crumbs. The Buratta and Fruit was decent. We decided to order a build your own pizza, they put a fine amount of pepperoni, but we added onion and peppers and there was a sprinkle of those toppings in the middle of the pizza and that was it. The lasagna is very good.

Yelp
After a very wet hike near the Elwa river, I had the pleasure of treating my uncle for his 76th birthday at Tedesco's. We both had the scampi & pettine con capelli, which was delicious. Beyond the tender scallops, garlic, and white wine herb butter, the dish shined with crunchy and satisfying veggies. I even enjoyed leftovers the next day, though note to the wise, please don't bring scallops into the office... ever. Warming up over coffee, the complimentary birthday dessert was a nice touch and a testament to the attentive service. Thank you to Tedesco's for providing the backdrop for a beautiful new memory!

Yelp
Microwave meal like food! I have NO idea how this place has 4ish stars. Fake reviews? Absolutely disgusting food. I came to town and wanted to take my parents out for dinner. Not a lot of options in this small town so I made a reservation based on yelp. I was truly embarrassed to have brought my family here. *The garlic knots were stale and inedible. *The side vegetable (that basically comes with everything) is a cheap mix and cannot be subbed for anything substantial. *My partners "medium rare" steak came out cooked to death yet cold. Sent back with no faith in getting another plate. *My dads clams were flavorless atop the goopy pasta. He is easy to please and even he did not eat. *The wait times were ridiculous! Our young waiter was indeed nice. We ended up getting chicken strips etc. at the casino afterwards because we were all starving! ...after spending $175.

Yelp
Addendum after the meal: The food and service redeemed my review on them. The Garlic Kisses are to die for. Get them. Forget the calories. Just do it! My entree was the Shrimp and Scallop on Crispy Pasta. OMG! This was PERFECTION! Huge perfectly seared scallops. The sauce combined with the toasted angel pasta was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had! Our waitress tonight was excellent (wish I could remember her name). Checked on us and offered suggestions. I would give them 4-5 stars if it weren't for the rude comment when we came in. Maybe she had no idea how it came across. Not sure about the food just yet. However, my problem was on entering the restaurant with my handicapped husband. The hostess at the door didn't have a table available just yet, which was fine. I understand. When I asked if there was somewhere he could sit while waiting, she pointed around the corner to a waiting couch area. He isnt able to move very fast, so I peeked around the corner to see if it was somewhere I could get him into and she said to me "Well you've just got to move!" There was only one other person even near us! No people trying to get in or out! I was completely flabbergasted! I nearly walked out except I had already gotten my husband all the way from where we parked! I may amend my review after dinner. Hopefully the meal will be more pleasant than our hostess.

Yelp
This is second time I have eaten here (not a local or it would have been much more often). The food was fantastic, great service and nice atmosphere. I had their new dinner item - the fried soft shell crab over cheesy gnocchi and it was fantastic!

Yelp
The ratings here don't do this place any justice. Tedescos is one of my favorite places in Sequim. We only ordered takeout here several times but still one of my favorite places to order from around here. All of their dishes and sauces are well flavored while salads are fresh and crisp. Portions are perfect and they fill your tummies up with all that goodness. Alfredo is just the right amount if cheesy creamy delightful-ness without being overdone. Pappardelle bolognese was hearty and robust. Pastas here are chefs kiss al dente. Fresh bread is served with the meals (even for takeout.) Love to get gift cards to treat dear friends to dinner from Tedescos in Sequim. Will give it a 5 once I have an opportunity to dine-in. Pictures to come soon.

Yelp
EXCELLENT! a true small town GEM! excellent service , quality authentic cuisine, a warm and inviting atmosphere. I have been to Italy many times... and this is great Italian food. A must try if you are visiting the Olympic Peninsula
google avatar

Yelp
The service was excellent. The parking was jammed and we had to park a block away. Their space is shared with two other popular establishments and there is very limited parking at any time. There is not much ambiance and you eat off of table tops without table cloths. The menu is varied and offers "authentic" Italian dishes without much flourish. The food is good but not great. For the prices they charge I expected a little more. We went on a gift certificate. I would not suggest or pay their prices if I went out to eat with friends.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was great! I would definitely go back to this place! Creme brulee was amazing
google avatar

Nicole A.

Yelp
Good food, but not amazing. We really liked the garlic kisses. They were a really great balance of garlicky but not too strong. The service was also really good and prompt. Most of the portions were a really good size, but the veal was fairly small. The crab gnocchi was fantastic and the fried crab was so delicious.

Janet M.

Yelp
We took our kids here for an early Christmas dinner! We all loved the delicious food and the excellent service and atmosphere! The cocktails exceeded all expectations. We enjoyed our time together very much. Thank you Tedescos!

Ethan M.

Yelp
Best restaurant on the peninsula Enjoyed ever part of the experience. Service food and drinks all were great.

Yelp
Wow, what can we say? We are locals and eat here on a very regular basis. Authentic Italian with modern flare. Friendly folks and service.

Yelp
This is one of my faves in Sequim! A lovely family owned restaurant with great food and fun cocktails. The bartender is fantastic and friendly and makes fresh yummy drinks. Their version of a lemon drop is so delicious. My favorite dish is the eggplant parmesan. It's so lightly breaded and the sauce and fettuccine are a great complement. Their veggie side is so crispy and fresh. The tiramisu is not standard - they add a salty caramel and sugared pecans - which sounds odd - but is AH-MAZING! They also have great pizza! Love this family and this restaurant!
google avatar

Zoe M.

Yelp
Food was amazing and not too spendy. Drinks were great! Our server Jay was excellent. He was quick with the service and charismatic. Music wasn't too loud and the lighting was this perfect low light ( not too low ) that was easy on the eyes. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and will be back for more! Definitely my new favorite go-to in Sequim.

Yelp
They had availability for our party of 6 for dinner (including a toddler) on a Saturday night so we decided to try this spot. The restaurant looks very new and is beautiful inside! They have GF pasta options and GF pizza crust so don't avoid this place if your allergic. I had their Alfredo pasta with chicken, I didn't seem it on the menu but saw a picture of it on Yelp and they made it for me, they went out of their way and I appreciate that! They pasta sauces are really rich and creamy , but SO good! This is a really great spot in town , for a larger party or for a date night.

Yelp
The food at Tedesco's is amazingly good! Everything is prepared the way my husband's Italian grandmother would make it. Just as tasty as her food as well. The service is impeccable, and a wonderful ambience as well. This is our go to restaurant for special occasions, without a doubt!

Megan H.

Yelp
I'm only giving two stars because the waitress was attentive and friendly but that was the only good thing about this place. We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and decided to go to Tedesco's. We previously purchased cannoli from this restaurant for my birthday a few months ago, and it should've been a warning. We had a reservation, and it definitely got busy while we were there, but it's not an excuse. We ordered our food, chicken parmesan and garlic and herb marinated lamb, and waited over a half hour for our food. But hey, we had hard bread to hold us over while we waited. The for the price listed on the menu, we assumed it would be more food than what actually came out. I was given the wrong meal at first, but the waitress quickly corrected that. The chicken parmesan was lackluster at best. The breading appeared burnt and the chicken was overcooked. The chicken piece (because there was only one) was a small chicken breast that had been cut in half. It was served with a cup (probably less) of pasta that was cold and acidic. The vegetable medley was basically raw julienned cuts of veggies that lacked flavor...and could not be substituted. The two lamb medallion were ordered medium, but came out medium well. That's fine, and they still tasted good. It was served with five potato wedges and the same bland vegetable medley. The basil and lime yogurt sauce was this dish's saving grace because it added a bit of flavor. We left hungry, aggravated, and sure we would not return.

Yelp
Great little place with delicious food. When I am in Sequim, I always make a point to go here. Reservations are recommended.

Laura B.

Yelp
Really great food at affordable prices! Waitstaff worked well together too! Great restaurant for retirees on a budget too!

Nick Y.

Yelp
The only nit I have is I would of preferred a more upscale presentation and ambience with white table cloths as I used to enjoy when I would visit Northern Italy when I was working for an Italian firm. I start off by stating that this is a Northern Italian style restaurant. The food is closer to that of French cuisine in the use of cheeses and more subtle flavors, unlike it's Southern cuisine which uses more garlic, onions, and other stronger herbs. The food is spot on. I had the Northern Italian style lasagna and it was excellent in that because of the style, their was no overwhelming effect of garlic and onions. My wife had a scampi dish which was also excellent. We shared a wonderful Bruni red wine from Tuscany. Their teramisu was the closest I have had to the ones I used to have in Northern Italy. The service was spot on being not to overwhelming but attentive. We will definitely be back!

Lyndi M.

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation, which seems to be the recommended way to get a table, but they were able to fit us in and I'm so glad! A delicious choice for dinner on a whim. While unfamiliar with the area, my party needed a place to eat that could accommodate one member's gluten intolerance and another's sobriety. Tedesco's delivered on all fronts! We started with delicious mocktails (Marrakech martini and old fashioned), which were made with top quality non alcoholic spirits like Ritual and Seedlip. For dinner, everyone ordered to their preference, and no one had any complaints! Our server was so friendly, generous and accommodating, everything was fresh and flavorful, and the menu was so transparent about potential allergens (which was highly appreciated). If you're local to Sequim or just passing through, I urge you to give Tedesco's a try. It's clearly a local favorite, and worth every penny.
google avatar

Katy C.

Yelp
We drive 45 minutes just to eat here! That should speak for itself! Consistently delicious food and super friendly staff!

David A.

Yelp
Although our experience was poor, we just got a bank statement where the entire cost of the meal was refunded. Thank you for making the adjustment. It is greatly appreciated.

Richard K.

Yelp
I have gone to restaurant four times previously last 10/23 always has been good to excellent.,Today 5/24 went with my wife and friend visiting from out of town. He ordered the Cannelloni I ordered Lasagna that was excellent the last time I was there. Wife had Carbonara. My Lasagna had no meat or marinara sauce or beef. Just pasta and cheese. My friend had one bite of the Cannelloni and put his fork down. I was still trying to find some beef or marinara in my lasagna. I looked at him and asked him is it ok? He looked at me and said it was inedible. I tasted it . It had beef , veal and pork. I almost couldn't swallow it. It tasted rancid. My wife's meal was fine. They comped us on the two meals. The waitress said they just changed cooks. Message to the OWNER . You need to be supervising.

Yelp
We had a lovely experience here! The restaurant is not crowded and all the servers were wearing mask. I felt safe here because of the necessary precautions they take. The tapas were delicious and we left with our tummies full!! We will definitely come back here for our next event when we are back in town!

Yelp
Great pizza!! Crust is so fresh and chewy. We even got to bring the pups and sit outside. Would definitely go there again.

Sheila C.

Yelp
Any restaurant that does not welcome children is not a place my family & that's all 18 of us would frequent. Before replies start coming telling me how you can't stand screaming children when your eating. My children, grandchildren & great grandchildren were raised with manners. We are not loud, we don't run around restaurant & we all say please & thank you. Note; We all really like 7 Brothers, the food is outstanding the staff are great fun & there's the reason why we keep going back, all 18 of us

Yelp
Sometimes a bit of a weird menu. good food and a great staff, very nice, professional and fairly quick food.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Last night after a long day exploring Olympic National Park, my daughter was craving seafood. Without reservations on peak days and times, it can be hard to find a table in Sequim. Luckily for us, the third time was the charm and they were able to seat our hungry selves down immediately. I started with a lavender limoncello martini, which was very nice after a day in the sun and nature. The warm bread served with warm whipped butter as well as olive oil and balsamic vinegar was a lovely start to our dinner. We split the summer salad (arugula, prosciutto, peaches, tomato). She had the fish of the day, salmon served with roast potato wedges and mixed roasted vegetables. I was less hungry so opted for the bowl of minestrone soup, made with fresh squash, tomato, pearl pasta and three fresh beans. For dessert we split the tiramisu, I had a cup of decaf. All the food was really good, the service excellent. If you find ourself in Sequim definitely have a meal here or get one of their very popular pizzas to go (there was a nonstop line of people picking these up).

Yelp
This place was fantastic. We were traveling up 101 from Orange County, CA and happens soon this place in the lovely place called Sequim. It was truly a wonderful dinner and memorable restaurant. If I lived in the area I'd be in one e a week. Keep up the great work at Tedesco's - I'll be back.

Sue L.

Yelp
Lovely meal last night. We both thoroughly enjoyed the clam chowder. I had the chicken picatta which was very good. My husband had the seafood pasta which he said was delicious. Topped off with a good cab from local winery and a good server making for a nice evening out!

Delani T.

Yelp
We liked this place. The food was clean and yummy. The service was good. The price was reasonable. We've been there three times. We'll definitely go back there again.

Yelp
So good! My husband and I are from California and we don't know the area .. we decided to give it a shot and we were not disappointed! They clean everything up very well before seating you and offer outside seating! The food was so good! After hiking 8.5 hours we treated ourselves to high carbs but totally worth it! Sangria was smooth but hot the spot! Thank you Olivia for your great customer service! Your great personality was very welcoming!

Mandy A.

Yelp
Hands down best martini's in town. It's a family run business and you can tell they pour their hearts into what they do!
google avatar

Joan P.

Yelp
I went there when they first opened and the chicken Marsala was underwhelming. I went there again a few months ago and the tortellini was undercooked and the dish was pretty bland. The garlic knots were very good, but when is garlic ever bad
google avatar

Ann M.

Yelp
Great food. Great prices. We will return here when we visit Sequim. I had the rockfish special over risotto. Hubs had the seafood pasta, it has a diff name but it is delicious. Cannolis for dessert. Great all around!
google avatar

Rikki T.

Yelp
Excellent service! Nice atmosphere and super fresh like it's name suggests. I cannot recall the last time we have had service like that. We ate at the bar because it's a busy place and now we know why. The bartender made sure we were taken care of and I wish I had gotten his name so I could have given him a shout out in my review. We ordered a Bianca Prima pizza on a cauliflower crust. Absolutely delicious!! My only negative would be that you may need a reservation depending on the day. This place is a gift!
google avatar

Joel B.

Yelp
Good food very good service. Fantastic bar and atmosphere. Have been back multiple times

Yelp
Just had the lobster ravioli for my dinner. You can not go wrong with this great dinner special. Great people, excellent menu items and nice location.....give them your business.

Yelp
We've been curious about this place for years, and their teddy bears in the window during Covid were especially cute! However, it's a bit out-of-the-way for us, so it took some planning ahead to finally go. I had the very best eggplant Parmesan I've ever had in my life here! My husband had a special - can't remember what it was - and absolutely loved it as well. The cocktails and service were on point, too! So why the four stars? Well, to be honest, this was the smallest eggplant Parmesan, serving I've ever had in my life! My husband's dish was generous (some kind of pasta) and he was completely satisfied, but I was still starving! Literally three slices of eggplant approximately 3 1/2 inches across! As I mentioned, the tastiest, eggplant I've ever had, which made the serving size all the more frustrating. Otherwise, an outstanding meal and experience.

Yelp
Bland... Lasagna with no body and chicken cesar with no flavor. Well to be fair, the chicken was good. Not worth the money or time.

Yelp
Wow!! Stumbled in this place during our trip. The food is just to die for. One of the best restaurants we ate in Washington! We liked the white sangrias Garlic bread Capresa with a twist of fried cheese Shrimp with fried noodles - also has a nice new twist to the dish And their special fish dish was made outstanding! And we also had a great service :)))) We enjoyed that place so much we came the next day as well :))
