Ted's Montana Grill

First time trying bison so I was nervous but man it was incredible!! I loved the Canyon burger and my oldest said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had. I agree! Man alive, the meatloaf on the kids menu was hands down the best kids menu item I've ever seen and tasted. My youngest loved it! The restaurant itself was really nice, a little dim, and decorated well. The service was alright, wish the gal waiting our table would've come around a bit more but to her credit the place was packed. Very glad we went to Ted's Montana Grill!

I came in with high hopes and left feeling disappointed. I ordered the brick chicken plate with asparagus and parmesan cheese broccoli. The chicken was seasoned but a little dry and the broccoli was a measly four pieces of broccoli with parmesan cheese sprinkled on it. The asparagus was what I liked the best. It was tasty. My friend ordered the cedar plank salmon with french fries and mash potatoes and gravy. The salmon was watery inside and tasteless. The potatoes were good but the gravy was extremely salty. The french fries weren’t terrible, just a little too crunchy. This is not a cheap restaurant, at $20 plus dollars a plate I expected better. Even though the food was sorely disappointing, I was happy with the service. Our server was friendly and attentive and the dinning area was clean. This was a 3/10 dinning experience for me. I will have to try them another time.

Went to this location for my nephews 9th birthday because he wanted a steak. We had a party of 8, and they accepted our reservation without issue. Upon arrival, we were sat promptly and greeted immediately by our server, Sebastian. He was very upbeat, professional, and accommodating. He told us about specials and suggested many items. He really made my nephew feel special, which we sincerely appreciated. The food order came out quick, hot, and everything was delicious. They offered my nephew a free dessert, which was an added bonus. My only issue was how dark it was in the establishment. I had my glasses on but still couldn't see very well because it was so dark. Other than that, the experience was amazing, and the service was phenomenal. Very enjoyable!

This was my first visit to this location. The hostess was friendly, lightly dimmed and ambiance was inviting. Our server was nice and the meal was delicious however, while waiting for our bill we overheard the server next to us explain to the customers “today’s special is….” I was disappointed that we weren’t told of the specials because there was a 95% chance of us ordering it. This will not deter me from returning. I’ll just have to make sure I ask if they have specials next time!

We went back a week later- the service was the same. Bonus, I Was able to request Regina to be our server again. She did not disappoint. I took pictures this time… My husband tried something different- the salmon did not amazing. The shrimp appetizer still Our favorite. Oh And Daphne made me the most bomb lemon drop!!!! Bartender skills on point. Thank you again for such an exemplary experience!!! Oh what an amazing experience. Let us start with the complementary pickles! Addictive. The recommendations from our server Regina were spot on. The shrimp appetizer is a must have and if you aren’t carb happy - substitute the fries for the Kale salad. I was able to add anything to my burger- I added an egg! My husband’s first bison burger and it did not disappoint. Oh and the Lemon drop martini was delish! Did I mention how good the water is? Well I took mine to go! When you visit don’t forget to Ask for Regina, she will take amazing care of you!

Ordered the beef and bison ribeye. And it’s definitely high class, medium rare like I ordered. Cooked to perfection. Only problem was the fries and onion rings were over cooked, but I barely ate those because the portion of the steak was large. I highly recommend that you try this place if you love a good steak. Ambiance and the environment was phenomenal, gave me like a 80s mafia boss feel. The bathrooms were nice and clean, the old rustic vibe was a nice touch. 9.5/10

I don’t typically leave reviews, but the service we received during our recent visit was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share our experience. My family and I used to dine in frequently at Ted’s Montana Grill, but after some issues with other bartenders and servers, we switched to doing to-go orders on the weekends. Every time I pick up my food, Kennedy is the one who handles it. She always packs everything perfectly, ensuring nothing is missed, and greets me with the warmest smile. This past weekend, we decided to give dining in another try, and we sat at the bar. It was, without a doubt, one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had at *any* restaurant. Kennedy made fantastic drink recommendations and suggested the Delmonico Ribeye and the Cedar Plank Salmon. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Kennedy was friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely welcome throughout the entire meal. She’s hands down the best bartender we’ve ever had. Her customer service is truly unmatched, and it’s clear she takes pride in her work. If you’re considering where to dine, take my advice: sit at the bar and let Kennedy take care of you. She will make your experience unforgettable. Thank you, Kennedy, for turning our night into something special! We’ll definitely be back, and this time, dining at the bar will be our first choice. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We stopped here on our way from South Carolina for lunch. One of our friends recommended this place, and we were excited to try it. It was definitely more formal than i imagined, and we all felt a little under-dressed. Our waiter, Earl (i believe that was his name), was super helpful in going over the menu. He knew from the reaction my girlfriend gave to the bowl of pickles he brought out that it was our first time. I ordered the red rocks bison burger, and my friend Matt and my girlfriend borh got the Avalon bison burgers, and Matts girlfriend got a plain Jane naked burger. We started out with the house chips, and that onion ranch dip was delicious! The bison nachos were amazing, too. Everything was delicious, and the service from Earl was great! He definitely made our experience enjoyable. He also did let us know that you can 50/50 your side of fries and get onion rings too. I think next time we will all get the fries. The onion rings were massive and the breading was just falling apart. They were tasty but the fries stole the show.

Visited for the third time on Galentine's Day! Excellent customer service, the manager on duty stopped by the table. Food was excellent I had only vegan options an in house vegan burger. My favorite thing is the atmosphere, feels like family dining. Nice booths which I love!

It had been about five years since I last dined at Ted's Montana Grill, and my previous visit was to the downtown Atlanta location. I remember ordering the bison meatloaf back then and really enjoying it, so I was excited to revisit the restaurant and try something new. This time, I opted for the Mushroom & Swiss Burger with bison meat. Unfortunately, it was just okay. The burger itself lacked flavor, and if it weren't for the toppings and condiments, it would have been completely bland. The mushrooms, Swiss cheese, and sauce helped save the dish, but I was expecting more from the bison itself. Overall, the experience was decent, but I was hoping for something more memorable. If I return, I'll likely go back to the bison meatloaf, as that was a much better choice in the past.

Nothing is worse than bad management. The food was mediocre--exactly what you'd expect from a chain restaurant, so no surprises there. Our server was new and accidentally mischarged us, which wasn't a big deal. But instead of asking the manager to fix it, he seemed hesitant--now we know why. When we requested the manager ourselves, he took his time coming out, acted confused when we explained the issue, and then was just flat-out rude. No wonder the server didn't want to involve him. Lesson learned: we'll stick to what we know makes us happy every time--The Woodall across the way. Yes, it's much more expensive, but the quality and service are always top-tier. You get what you pay for.

The manager could have reached out to me nearly a month ago as I did try to contact this location since my most terrible experience ever by a server (Aria) and the bartender on December 6, 2024 around 3 pm. I would like to be reimbursed for my meal as it was not edible.

My friend and I came here after a day of fun in Atlanta and we were not disappointed! We were looking in Atlanta for a place that had a good steak under $60 and found it quite difficult, at least to find one of good quality. We decided to go to Ted's because I remember going there a while back and really liked the food, but I hadn't tried the steak there. We were not disappointed. We ordered two cocktails and they were delicious, great balance of alcohol and juice flavors. We really enjoyed our steaks, as you can see from our empty plates at the end of the meal, lol! Just a beautiful day with my friend, great service, and great weather. If you ever get the chance to sit out on the patio while you're eating here, do not hesitate!

Always love the bison in any form. But especially the burger. The meatloaf is epic with mashed potatoes and gravy. The American burger is fabulous with the fried egg. We always get onion rings and chili. Ask for Mackenzie as your server. She is amazing! It's very good for families. Decor is interesting and the bison head on the wall is a conversation piece for kids. It's dark inside and temp is pleasant. If you have room for dessert get the brownie. Wow!

Celebrating my birthday with family at Ted's Montana Grill. Our server Dana was friendly, attentive and professional. The food was delicious we had a variety of meals. New York Strip Steak, Bison burger, Vegan burger and lots of the in-house pickles, made daily! Oh yes the manager stopped by the table and refilled my drink. A very nice dining experience!! Restaurant was clean and cozy. The bathroom was extremely clean!!!

Came here on a Saturday night with 2 others. We asked for a booth and they were full and said 15 minute wait. No problem. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks while we waited. It took forever to be greeted and we finally had to ask if we can order drinks. The bartender was unfriendly and unwelcoming. That's why they lose a star. After we finally asked permission to be served, the drinks took forever to arrive. We then had to ask for additional drinks when those were visibly empty. After we were seated, service was spectacular. Our waiter and his trainee were awesome. Ordered the beef filet with asparagus and a baked potato while my family ordered the beef ribeye and a mushroom and Swiss burger with bison chili. All was A++++! Won't hesitate to return, despite the bartender.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. I can handle sub par food preparation but I will not tolerate disrespect from staff. The management at this particular location. Jas is rude and definitely mentally unstable. He threatened my family and accused of attempting to walk out on a meal AFTER we already paid the server. Teds just lost a loyal customer of many years due to this particular employee's actions. We considered Teds a family restaurant, unfortunately, my family will not return.

Ted's is all about customer service, smiles and hugs for regulars. Management always stops in and says hello. The food is made to order and always delish. Substituting is no problem. They accommodate without the up charge. Make sure and give your kind regards to Star. She always treats you right.

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the manager who willingly shared the history of this restaurant. Loved it! He is a native of Texas and Louisiana, so we had a few things in common. Our server was the best, attentive I've seen in years. It was amazing to see and hear how well-informed of the menu. He informed me of their wonderful tasting brussel sprouts which were not listed on the menu. The brownie al-a-mode was tasteful but could have been a little warmer. The onion rings were battered to the 'T'; however, go a little easy on the salt. The manager even gave us a true Texan feel by sharing his, Hookem Horns'.

My favorite Ted's! Full disclosure, we love Ted's! But not all locations are equal. The food at the Westside location tastes great and they don't skimp on the portion sizes. The waiters give great service. The bar service is usually on point but occasionally slow. We take out and eat in about 50/50. I prefer to eat in and when we do we can be in and out in good time if needed. We never feel rushed but we often have to be in and out to get to the next thing. Parking is plentiful and free.

McKenzie was a fantastic server, she gave a wonderful rundown of the history of the restaurant and kept our drinks full throughout our meal. Bryan also stopped by our table and had a great chat about local biking trails. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Brad but he sure can cook a mean steak with perfect melt in your mouth rendered fat and a crust to write home about. I couldn't have asked for a better lunch experience!

All the Ted's close by have left! One of my favorite kiddos loves this place, so we stopped in to celebrate his birthday. The waitress was nice. He ordered the sliders and he loves it. I ordered the Bison, with the bread on the side. I don't think I care for Bison. Like, not at all. It's gamey! However, the Parmesan broccoli was delicious. I would come back, but definitely going with something else.

The service was slow and the bartender was clearly not properly trained on preparing cocktails. Food was good though.

Ted's have become a staple in our house. The food, the service and atmosphere is grand to us. Ted's is located in the heart of west midtown, about 2-3 miles away from the westside works. Our waiter and or waitress is always nice, professional and willing to help. We went for lunch last week. I had to Canyon burger-Cheddar, bacon(ON THE SIDE), jalapeño, raspberry jam, fried egg. This burger was sooo good and their broccoli is the best. Thanks Ted's, we will be back as always.

Omg! I went here for lunch before I left Georgia. This place was very nice clean and the staff was friendly. I've had bison before so I decided to try the fried chicken sandwich with onion rings. Soooooo delicious and my drink was made with perfection. I loved every second of my experience here and will visit again hopefully soon.

Makenzie (waitress) was awesome she kept the conversation going and gave great food and drink recommendations and was on point with service and Starr (bartender) had them drinks rolling in with just the right appeal and taste ask for her every time you want a drink...than to top it off Daniel (chef) came out to our table because we ordered medium well ribeye and he recommended trying it medium and thanks to him we are hooked never getting another medium well steak again..first time here but definitely not my last I will be back

I took my daughter here for her birthday lunch and it was so underwhelming. Can we get some flavor on the carrot. The bison seems like it was boiled and slap some bbq sauce on it at the end....it was borderline terrible. The server was great and the ambience was just cookie cutter. I am almost sure will never go back for food at this place again.

I have had take out from Ted's a couple of times...I want to like this place but it always comes up short. Tonight I grabbed pics of the $19 burger and to say the least...I was again underwhelmed. The burger was more like a slider and there seemed to be more bun than burger and the cheese was pretty bad too. Sorry Ted's...I gave you guys quite a few chances.

Hands down the Best Burger! It was juicy and delicious a Great pick me up after a long week.

Work dinner and we're sick of waiting for the downtown Ted's. We had the place to ourselves when we got there and were very excited to see if they held the standards up...yes they did! Now I've always thought their sides were lack luster so they'll never be able to get 5 stars until they focus on that and the desserts are not up to par. I know this place is about meat preferably steaks due to the ranch setting of Ted's motif. Our waiter was very attentive and quick to meet our needs.

Me and my bestfriend were looking fo a chill but still nice place on a Friday night in atl and this happened to pop up! We walked in and you could see the vibe of the place as soon as you walked in! Grown and chill! We went to the bar while we waited for our table! Margaritas were strong and good and the we got some food and when I tell you this was one of the best burgers I ever haddd!! Amazing! We had Daphne as our waitress and she was great and personal! Overall we had a great time!

Love this place. Have been a repeat customer. The service is AWLAYS GREAT! The food is bangin and very affordable. Had the burger for the first time...exceptional!! My only issue (and it's very minor) is the bar seems a little ragged. The bar could use a good overhaul and clean, but it's fine. Love Ted's!

I've been here a few times, this location twice, and I recommend it. The staff is nice and accommodating. The bartenders are great and every steak comes out the temperature I request.(Always a plus) P.S. Bring a sweater if your sitting inside and you get cold fast. The outside tables will have you shooing bugs once your food is on the table. The bison brisket was absolutely amazing. Tastes like pot roast. The service was a little slow for other patrons but not our table. I will return.

My husband and I came to Ted's for a togo order. We sat at the bar and had drinks while waiting. I had a huckleberry mule and my husband had an old fashion..both were good. My husband ordered the 1977 American Bison burger (Med) with garlic mash potatoes and a bowl of Bison chili, and I ordered the Green and Hot Bison burger (Med) with a baked potato. I checked the bag to make sure we had everything and we did. All to get home and be very disappointed. Our burgers were dry over cooked- cooked well done vs med. Also, my baked potato was hard as if it was under cooked. This was our first visit to this location. So disappointing to spend that kind of money and your food not be worth the price.

We attended a birthday party at Ted's on July 13, 2024, and Regina and Jordan were our servers. Regina handled our table and Jordan handled the other table. Regina was friendly, personable, quick and efficient. The food was great. She and Jordan took our drink and appetizer orders, and then came back to take our food orders. The food didn't take long to come out, and Regina made sure everyone got what they ordered. She also took care of any refills or condiments anyone needed. Her attitude stayed upbeat and she even joked with us. She was patient and kind. She even took several pictures for us. It was a great and memorable experience. We would definitely recommend that people frequent this establishment.

Come here often for the consistent service, food, and vibe. I enjoy a solo lunch, but I never feel ignored.

Our waitress took our order spinning and could barely took out order. Manager addressed us after waiting over an hour for simple entrees. Never received even a simple Ceaser salad was over an hour late. No idea who they are hiring at this location

This was my second visit to this location and it was another great experience! The servers were very attentive and the food very good. This is definitely a great place for a family meal or just friends gathering to reconnect! Try it soon!

Jeff was our server. First timer there and the manager sat us, welcomed us in and went over the menu. I got the bison balsamic blue salad and my boyfriend got the bison brisket. My boyfriend is chatty, but boy, let me tell you. He was too busy eating :) he was quite pleased and the portions for his meal as well as mine were generous! I took mine home and my boyfriend managed to eat everything! Service was fast and very friendly. Loved the pickle chips they started us with, will be back! Thank you!

We did takeout for lunch. This is a first time visit and it was actually good. I got the cod fish sandwich with fries and kale salad. The fish was light and the tartar sauce and lettuce was perfectly proportioned. The pick up was effortless and the host had exceptional customer service. I would revisit.

Had a wonderful time tonight to kickoff my birthday weekend! Regina and Jeff were amazing and provided excellent service, and went over and beyond to ensure I had a great evening! We will definitely be back!

Always very good!! The best lemon drops ever!! I keep ordering them when I go to other places but they don't match up!! My 4 year old did however say they weren't fancy and were like a zoo or a farm bc they had animals on the wall. Luckily, we don't let kids leave reviews!!

I am surprisingly disappointed by the service we received today. We sat at the bar to be served by Roxanne, and the energy was off from the very beginning. I arrived at 6:40, and it is now 7:53. I asked for my drink to be remade at 7, I have yet to receive it. I also order a crab cake appetizer, I have yet to receive it as well. We asked to be served by someone else and came outside to the patio. After an hour, I walked back in to ask why I never received my drink or food, and I was spoken to in a very nasty, loud and argumentative tone, told me that I must be at the bar to receive my drink (first time I ever heard that) and when I asked to speak to a manager (Andrew), I was told he's busy in the kitchen. After almost an hour, he has yet to acknowledge us. My friend that is here with me usually comes 3-4 times per week and receives excellent service, and tried to assure me this is not common, but this experience is enough for me to not want to return. It is now 7:59... still no drink, the appetizer just came, still no manager. Added note: the same server seemed offended that my friend had an allergic reaction to her usual shrimp meal and asked if the recipe changed. And, I saw a young lady with her Emotional Support Animal trying to get curbside service, and they refused to bring her food, so she had to bring her ESA in just to get her meal, and she received bad energy from the same server.

Got the bacon burger, it's was good, the fries were old tho and soggy, onion rings were ok. The complementary pickle slices they give you aren't fully pickled so the have a cucumber taste to them which is ok if you like that sort of thing. The service was good and everyone was polite and respectful. Overall it's was an ok experience but for $23 for a burger a side and a drink, the food should've been perfect. Would I go here again? Probably not.

We went there for lunch. It seems very new. However, I will say they need to stay on top of the bathroom. Even though it's new there was a lot of dirt around the corners of the floor and the pipes. It was a good visit though. The food was good. We got the Salmon and the broccoli and kale salad, kids cheeseburger and the naked burger. The salmon was good and clean...great if you want a guilt free meal. There was some type of dip that was really good. Not sure if it was for the broccoli or salmon but I used it on both. The kids cheeseburger and naked burger was good also. Both got fries. Service was good as well. Total was $40 before tip. It's a solid choice.

Amazing service and fabulous food! So, my husband and I ventured into Ted's. Little did we know, there was a flood and power outage earlier that day and ALL STAFF had been sent home. The remaining manager was asked to keep the restaurant open and called in Mr Jeff. Holy smokes! What amazing service! My husband and I watched as Mr. Jeff and the manager, Ms Jennifer, took orders, cleared tables, sat guests, made drinks, cooked the food, served the food, and cleared the tables. They were absolutely a dynamic duo. Watching your server and the manager cook your food, and then plate it up, and serve it to you is an unbelievable experience. They took such ownership and pride in everything that they did. What a heartfelt experience! The food was absolutely fabulous. Although I am a bit biased, I have to say I had one of the most amazing burgers I've ever had in my entire life. I love these two employees and Ted's Montana Grill should be thankful and grateful that they are here working for them as hard as they do. Since Covid, I have not really had excellent customer service until today. Thank you for renewing my faith in the service industry! Ted, you need to give both of them a massive, massive raise!

The power went out and Eboni and the entire staff stayed and served drinks to the neighborhood! I find this big in my eyes because not only do I live in this area, but the other restaurants closed there door on use because of the power outage! Way to go teds, to stay open in the true tradition of Ted and George because this is the way Longhorn got its big jump back in the day.... Serving the community

Worth driving a few minutes to get away from downtown. The bison nachos and burgers were delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I also noted one manager named Andrew actually helping in the kitchen and not just ordering folks around.

Our first time here and Star was the absolute best!!!! Her service was top tier! Definitely ask for her. The food was DELICIOUS. We'll definitely be back.

We came in after the Veteran's Day Parade and our server Makenzie was amazing. She was hospitable and very friendly. Our lunch was cooked perfectly and did not take long to come out at all. Drinks from the bar were *chef's kiss*. New Fashioned and a Mountainbreeze. Both were excellent curations and worth trying out. We like the closeness of the downtown location but the service at this location was what sealed the deal for it being one we will absolutely visit again. There is ample parking in the area and other businesses to venture over to once you leave Ted's.

We had a great time here before we went to Alvin Ailey at the Fox. Our server was great and they treated us nicely. Food tasted as we expected. We normally get the Bison sliders. My sons plate had a little too many potatoes and not enough asparagus but overall a great experience.
