DON'T go at noon! My 7 AM experience 🤫 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tegenungan is stunning, but it can feel like a theme park if you arrive late. I arrived at 7:15 AM and had the entire place nearly to myself for the first 30 minutes. By 10 AM, the tour buses started arriving, and the magic faded. Why it’s worth it in 2026: • Accessibility: It’s only about 150–200 steps. Compared to other Bali waterfalls, this is a breeze! • The Upper Deck: Pay the extra 10k IDR to go to the top. The view of the water plunging over the edge is way better than the view from the bottom. • Facilities: Very well-developed. Clean toilets, changing rooms, and lockers are all here. 💡 Pro Tip: If you want that "jungle" photo without 50 strangers in the background, walk to the wooden bridge early. Also, the water can be brown after heavy rain—check the weather from the night before!

Tegenungan Waterfall and its surroundings are a fabulous place. As I caught sight of the valley, my breath caught. I arrived at the top of a really deep valley. The valley is filled with the Petanu River, which flows rapidly through a bed full of rocks. Steep banks on both sides support the abundance of green plants. Above the valley – not far from where this view opened up before me – a huge suspension bridge spans between the two banks. And at the beginning of the valley there is the huge, loud waterfall, radiating elemental power. It dominates the space. The timeless work of the waterfall and the river has formed a lake under the cascading water. All this is clearly visible from the lookout point, which you reach immediately upon entering the area. If you just enjoy the view from here, it is worth coming here. Of course, I wanted to see everything up close. You have to climb a lot of stairs to get there, but believe me: it's worth it!

Visited in mid January 2026. Approx at 2pm. Not too crowded - just what you expect from a tourist attraction - water fall. 30k pp entrance fee. You walk through a street with shops first and then get to a viewpoint. We didn’t go down as we had done enough walk 😅. Nice view after a night of heavy rain fall. You could walk down to restaurant and there is also a day club near the waterfall. The water wasn’t as clear as other Bali waterfalls I’ve seen. You can see the glass bridge from the view point. I would go out of my way to see this, we only came as it was on route.

Beautiful spot but walking up steps involved, if raining very slippery. If you buy a drink they will let you use the lift which saves you 3 stories of leg work.

Tegenungan Waterfall is already known as one of Bali’s most accessible and powerful waterfalls, but its true magic reveals itself as the day slowly fades into evening. While most visitors come for daylight photos, staying until dusk transforms the experience into something unforgettable. As the sun sinks and the light softens, the rocky walls surrounding the waterfall begin to glow in deep shades of gray and gold. Stepping into the natural cave behind the falling water at this hour feels almost surreal. The sound of the water grows louder, more immersive, echoing through the stone as the outside world slowly disappears. Inside the cave, the atmosphere is raw and dramatic. Mist fills the air, cool against your skin, while the waterfall frames the entrance like a living curtain. The fading light creates striking contrasts — shadows dance along the rock, and every movement of water feels amplified. It’s quiet, powerful, and deeply grounding, offering a sense of connection to nature that daylight crowds rarely experience. If you’re visiting Tegenungan, don’t rush away. Stay. Wait for the sky to darken. Dare to step into the cave as evening approaches. Experiencing Tegenungan Waterfall at dusk isn’t just about seeing it — it’s about feeling it. This is a moment that photos can’t fully capture, and one every traveler should try at least once.

great view, very close to the main road. very easy access. ticket is 30k. a lot of resturants selling food and drinks. worth to visit anyway, if you have strong legs, you can go down the stairs and feel the water and the breeze...

A popular waterfall that looks impressive in photos, but the water is not as clean as you might expect or see in posts online. It gets very crowded, especially during peak hours. The entrance fee is 30k per person, and it includes access to the Omma Dayclub pool, which is a nice bonus if you plan to relax there. Still, manage your expectations if you're hoping for clean, clear water. Easy to access and convenient, but visiting early helps avoid the crowds.

The waterfalls is good with beautiful surroundings. One needs to walk a lot until down to get a closer view . Walking down is fine but returning back to top is little hard . Not recommended to go down for elderly and people with knee problems.
