Much-Anticipated Tejas Burger Joint Opens in Tomball - Eater Houston

"Tejas Burger Joint, a new sister restaurant to Tejas Chocolate and Barbecue in Tomball, has finally opened its doors. The restaurant announced its arrival on Instagram on Tuesday. It’s completely devoted to the Tejas smokehouse burger, which first gained notoriety as a special at Tejas Chocolate and Barbecue, known for its primo smoked meats and luxurious chocolate bars and truffles." - Amy McCarthy

Tejas Burger Joint is a delightful spot for a casual dinner! My husband and I stopped by on our way home and were impressed with the recommendations from the staff. We tried the smokehouse burger and the old town burger, both of which were bursting with flavor. The food arrived quickly, within 10 minutes, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The fries and onion rings were fresh and perfectly cooked, not overly fried, which made them a great side. Additionally, parking was easy with plenty of spots available across the street, and it made for a nice little stroll across Main Street to get to the restaurant. Overall, Tejas Burger Joint is a fantastic choice if you’re in the mood for delicious burgers!

Google
Such a cute litte gritty place! We've been wanting to try this place for a very long time, and the burgers did NOT disappoint! Patties are smoked on the grill to give you that backyard, smokey flavor! WARNING! If you don't know, smoked burgers are PINK so they appear like they're undercooked. I'm a well-done kind of gal, and the patty was firm and cooked through. We got the Smokehouse which is a 1/2lb burger (enough to feed 2 people), and the Patty Melt (enough to feed 2-4 people). Patty Melt was HUGE 😱 We also got the tots, which were CRISPY!!! Also, loved the sauce on the burger and the butter pickles 😉 Price? About $20+/person, and well worth it! Overall, great place to grab a burger if you're looking for something with a great smokey flavor!

Google
soooooo yummy!! we got a basket of the fries, 2 burgers, the patty melt, a hot dog (added onions) one drink, and one beer, all totaling to $78. left absolutely stuffed. The lady taking our order was super nice and didn’t take long at all to receive our order. yum!!

If you go to this burger joint, you better go hungry. Everything is so good and so big, you are gonna be full. It doesn't matter how full you get; you're not gonna wanna stop eating until every bite is gone. I had their smokehouse burger. It is a hamburger, served char-smoked like brisket. It is absolutely amazing. I also had tricolored sweet potato fries, they too were wonderful. I did not have any, but they also have locally brewed beers. They provide homemade sauces; I believe their pickles might be homemade, too. The restaurant is on Main Street, so you must find parking. But it's worth the effort.

Google
First time here tried the smashed single burger the way it comes... with sweet potato fries... it was delicious.... Very friendly staff and atmosphere was amazing... Loved it, I'm definitely coming back...

Google
18 bucks, no fries, no drink. Ooh, and you get a sand bagged burger, how do I know it was sand bagged? Cause we got our burgers in less than 5 minutes. Was it busy you ask? They have a great reason to sand bag burgers? No, and no. Will we be coming back? No. Will I recommend this place? No. Why would I want to spend nearly twenty bucks for just the burger, to get meat that may or may not have been cooked recently? When I go to a burger joint and actually sit down to eat, and spend that kind of money, I expect fresh, and for God sakes throw in some fries, you're not high end in any other respect other than your prices.

Google
The smash Burger was pretty good. The burger sauce they make is mustard based, and goes well with the smash Burger. My only complaint is that it was a bit salty. I've been here probably 6 times, and it usually is a bit salty. Not salty enough to ruin the meal, but it is salty enough to make it 4 stars instead of 5. The tots are very crispy and a good quantity. Service is friendly and food comes out pretty quickly.

Google
I’ll start by saying this place always serves up big and delicious burgers. Tonight I wasn’t starving, but saw the sign for the $5 happy hour smash burger and thought I’d pick up a couple on my way home. I’m not sure what magic they put in their secret sauce, but the taste combination of the perfectly seasoned juicy burger and its toppings with the sauce were out of this world. Our compliments to the chef and thanks for one of the best burgers on the planet. It was a lot more food for the price than I was expecting! These folks are in a league of their own, so it’s definitely worth a try if you haven’t been there yet.

Yelp
I've been caught off guard! I came to Tejas craving a burger. As I browsed the menu on the wall, I saw: NEW Birria Tacos Lately, I've tried to get in touch with my feelings. As part of this effort, I admitted that I've had a crush on birria. So I ordered the birria. When I bit into the taco, I felt that feeling deep down as if I just had just scratched an instant winner lotto ticket. I thought to myself, I'm at a burger place - don't have high expectations for the birria. Tejas overachieved. The hot, smoky, seasoned, shredded deliciousness blew me away. Their birria tacos was better than most Mexican restaurants / food trucks / stations wagons carts. It was just great. Now, I can't wait to go back and get more!

Yelp
Went here for a birthday dinner, the burgers weren't bad but our WHOLE group got food poisoning. Im pregnant and I had the worst stomach pains I had to go to the ER. Please steer clear if you're pregnant.

Yelp
We have been here w few times and always enjoyed their burgers, and assortment of other options on the menu. The green onion aioli is top notch, and always our dip of choice for the yummy fries and crispy golden tots. Tonight we went and as we were sitting there enjoying our food, my husband mentions that he can't understand how the 3 of us got the bill to $70, before a tip. I stop eating, turn around and take a quick peek at the menu, do some math and agree, no way did we spend $70. Mike never gets the receipt despite me telling him to do it every time we eat out... Just in case something happens to the order. Because he didn't get the receipt, I let it go, secretly thinking that's what he deserves for not getting the receipt. But apparently now it's bugging him, so he goes up and gets it reprinted. Turns out , they put an automatic "15% gratuity fee on top of the check, in lieu of tips". As Mike is standing there waiting for the receipt to reprint, he does see the paper explanation of this service fee taped to the counter, which he pointed out to me and I snapped a pic of. So I do definitely have a problem with this autogratting of anything, let alone 15% of the bill, which turned out to be $8.62. there are so many reasons why I a problem with that. First, as a restaurant manager, I have seen servers work their butts off in a full service place and get stiffed. Second, as the posted statement says, this is for all of the staff in lieu of tips. Tips are earned, as I have heard a million times in my career... You don't get to just tack them on to a check to compensate the employees. There were 3 of us, with tax, our bill before the service fee, was $61.00. this was for 2 burgers, 1 hotdog, 3 fries, and 3 drinks. Not cheap. Yes, it's good, and yes, we like to support local businesses, but $61.00 for that tells me (because I do understand food cost and such). The owners are still making a nice profit. So the employees should be getting a fair wage for what they do. The owners should not be passing the labor cost on to the customer. So yeah, I am pissed, and no, we won't be back.

Yelp
The service was very friendly. The fries and tots are very good, hot, and fresh. Most burgers you put your own toppings on. We got a 1/2 lb smoked burger which wasn't our favorite. It's very thick and quite smoky, our thoughts on this are strictly preference opinion. Also got a single smash burger. It was already topped with the toppings of their burger sauce, lettuce, cheese, onion, pickle, tomato. I did not love the burger sauce, it was ok, the burger itself was good but quite messy. The restaurant was a little warm even with their 2 mini splits running at 65°. Also for 2 burgers, fries, tots and 1 drink was $43.

Yelp
So good! We got the smokehouse and jalapeño cheddar burgers with onion rings and fries. Everything was delish as is, but loved the options at the toppings bar. When I am craving a big juicy burger this will be my go to.

Yelp
I tried calling a few times before creating this review. I also called tejas bbq assuming it was the same company/owner and was then told they were a totally separate company. Unfortunately, as I got about halfway through my burger, I was stabbed in my gums by a 2 inch piece of steel. It appeared to be some sort of wire from a wire brush but a thicker gauge than you would typically find. Alert to owners to take a look at your equipment or cleaning supplies to see what this could be from. Luckily I did not swallow it. I have the physical hazard if you would like to retrieve

Yelp
We had been meaning to try Tejas Burger Joint for a while, but it always seemed to be very crowded. Yes, there is a reason why: really good burgers and sides. There are a variety of burgers available, and you can build your own with an array of toppings: a true overload! Sides were great -- the fried okra was fresh, slightly crisp and so tasty. Fries were pretty good and the onion rings looked great (although I was so focused on the okra that I didn't snag one of them to taste!). This is not a fancy, nor a large, place. It's just what it says it is: a burger joint. Walk in, place your order, grab a table if you want to eat there and you'll be called when your order is ready. Many people do take out here, but many people snag a chair, slurp up their burger and head on their way. A great place to stop and grab a bite if you're in the area.

Yelp
This is one of my absolute favorite spots and whenever we have guests from out of town this is the spot we always take everyone. Hands down we get told every single time it's the best burger they have ever eaten in their lives and the shakes are sooooo good. Two thumbs up.

Yelp
Sounds like the 15% service charge wasn't going to the staff. https://www.dol.gov/newsroom/releases/whd/whd20240722-1

Yelp
Hungry for a burger on a Saturday afternoon, my partner and I decided to stop here. The line was short, and the food came out quickly. However, the burger was very underwhelming. It just tasted like a standard burger. Something I could make at home for half the price. Same thing for the tater tots. I wanted a milkshake but couldn't stomach spending $6 on one. It's a cute place, but I don't plan to spend any time or money here again. Come back to us Mel's... My favorite part was the pickles. They're sitting near the drink counter in a self serve area.

Tony T.

Yelp
If your the owner of the company and have integrity respond to this post at-least. What is the 15% automatic tax about. Not only is the food overpriced you gotta pay extra for even sides and drink. Just confused on the margins. I'm a business student a University of Houston and if you need help better with outsourcing and getting your stuff together please let me know. Far as I can see it's dead in there sooner or later you'll be closed down.

Yelp
Always good food. Service really depends on who you get. Great location near farmers market and festivals. There are several places nearby so you could even do a progressive dine. Try their BBQ venue as well! Also very good.

Yelp
These were some of the best nachos I've ever had in my life. However, you do need to take a second mortgage out for them. The burger was also amazing. For me and my husband to have lunch here was $45. We split a burger, no fries or tots just the burger, and we split an order of nachos and had two sodas and it was $45. That's a little more than I like to spend on lunch so I won't come often but I will come. The sodas are nasty, save your money. Their pickles are sooo good. I like having the option to grab some and pico to add to my nachos. Very fresh and. tasty But if you are into high-quality food, this is it. Amazing burger. Amazing nachos. Pricey, but amazing.

Yelp
Man I was really loving this place . Amazing burger. And tots . But it all when down the drain when they decide to give them selfs a tip instead of me deciding if I wanted to tip or how much . Thats like stealing from me ! That sucks ! Oh well , there are many other business that I can go eat at .
google avatar

Kevin R.

Yelp
Food was good. Smoked burger was unique. Tots were great. No DP but they had something called Dr Dr. Be ready to drop some cash. Family of four would be $88. And they add a 15% service fee without asking. Ouch.
google avatar

Ashley D.

Yelp
I have to say the burgers are good. Their fry seasoning is exceptional. However they are very over priced. It was $100 for four people. Burgers are $15 a piece with no sides and no drink. To me it's not worth that much.

Yelp
This place is right on Main Street, and parking is easily accessible across the street. The staff was extremely friendly throughout our lunch stop in. We had a grilled chicken sammy without the bacon and avocado crema on the side with some tator tots, too, and a smokehouse burger with regular fries. The food came out quickly and was extremely hot and fresh. There is a station next to the drinks where you can also pick up toppings like lettuce and tomatoes. The grilled chicken sandwich was moist, and the chicken wasn't overcooked. It had plenty of flavor and didn't need the avocado crema. It was more of an added touch. The smokehouse burger was also perfectly cooked, and it was more than enough food. We ended up taking the fries and tots home, but we will be back soon. This place is highly recommended!

Yelp
We LOVE Tejas BBQ and aren't really in this area regularly, but have been wanting to try their burger joint........and it is the essence of a "burger joint." Small a bit squeezed dining area. Get in line and order first then seat yourself. Cashier gal was delightful, pleasant and patient with us,......I mean "me," as first timers trying to figure it out. She recommended the Smokehouse Burger, but since my wife had already ordered that, I wanted something else. She recommended the Custom Built option since I'd get the "smoked patty" as a base. I opted for the Caesar. Service was fast and friendly. Fries were really good. The "smoked patty" was definitely the way to go. I wasn't so in love with the Caesar topping, but the burger meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I was a bit jealous of my wife's Smokehouse Burger with bacon and cheeses! They have a serve yourself bar with fix'ns. We'll be back when we are in the area. Yummy!

Yelp
The Smash Burgers are great! Fresh chopped jalapeños and really good fries / onion rings. Best Part - Classic Rock n Roll music playing while you eat.

Yelp
Food was a 5-star, but after the $70+ check and unexpected rude service today I rated a 3-star

Yelp
Saw this place on TV. Was visiting Houston and decided to take a drive. Solid burger. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Visited for the first and last time on a Sunday afternoon. First the service is not good, the lady who took our order was very distracted and paying attention to anything but us placing our order. Had to reiterate our order a couple times because she kept getting distracted by the kitchen or just not listening. She was rude and got frustrated when we had to repeat our order even though she was the one who was distracted. Finally it's time to pay and it was $76 for food for 3 people. We were surprised but paid got a receipt and realized why it seemed so expensive. They charge a 15% service on your ENTIRE BILL. We had to pay a $9 service charge, ridiculous considering the service. They don't let you know at all there would be a service charge. We go sit and food does come out quickly within 10-15 minutes of waiting. The burger was okay, a bit bland in terms of seasoning. I got the smokehouse burger which was a good portion but was missing flavor. You get your own toppings and the pickles were delicious! The Joes Raspberry tea was delicious but almost $5. Onion rings were good and would be the only item I'd get again. They were crispy and not too breaded which I always appreciate. Also the parking was a hassle we had to park across the street and then walk to the crosswalk to get across. I won't be coming back.
google avatar

Carol A.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place--- so much so I was willing to park accross the street and walk through a busy intersection where the Crosswalk lights dont work, to get there. Place smells amazing. Its an order at the counter type place where they bring the food out to you. They play great music. However, everything was so overseasoned in salt it was pretty much inedible. And I like salt! I like highly seasoned food, so if I thought it was all too salty then its extreme. The fried okra was soo overseasoned I couldnt eat it otherwise the actual okra was good. The burger would have been delicious with less salt. Onion rings were good and the only thing not over salted . I love supporting local businesses but cannot do that salty place again-- and it makes me sad.

Pong E.

Yelp
Best burger joint we've tried so far...definitely my family's favorite. Smokehouse burger is always good for me and my wife enjoys the patty melt, my boys actually prefer the chicken sandwiches over the burgers. We always share the sides of tater tots and sweet potato fries (ordering the trays is better value than ordering sides individually). The staff is very friendly and the service is very quick. The facility is clean. This place is not that big and is always crowded so prepare to wait to get a table. Most of the time customers wait to claim a table after they order, but proper etiquette is not always followed unfortunately. The joint should put up a big sign to avoid hurt feelings.

Yelp
My friends, I'm torn. I've been here. A few times now. And the food has always been solid. Every time. Before this weekend, I would've 4-5 starred this place. Then this weekend happened. So we come in around 6ish, myself and two friends of mine. We all have masks on. There's no sign on the door, none of the staff are masked or gloved, none of the patrons are either. As dumb as our state government is, I understand that within the law, it is then up to the choice of the establishment, and then the individual. As commons sense as it is to to do the right thing, I accept that folks can choose to do the other thing. I can and have lived with this. My friends are expecting, so we wore masks at all times when we were not drinking or eating. Here's my problem. Don't stare at me because you make dumb choices and I don't. I paid, I can eat however the F I want. You don't like masks, fine don't wear one and end up at the hospital, or putting someone else in there. But don't stare at me and my table because we're doing the right thing, and playing it safe. We were getting the mug for some time, and I stared right back. They weren't in a shortage of tables, and we have manners. No reason for that. So very uncomfortable and rude. Beyond that, food was excellent as always. I don't care where you live or what you do, there's common sense ways to protect yourself and your community. Work on that, and customer service. If you choose not, then you don't need my business. Best of luck in the future.

Yelp
The smokehouse bacon cheeseburger is hands down one of the best burgers I have ever had. The fresh off the pit taste of the burger is amazing. The fries were also brought out nice and hot. This is a order at the counter place. The cashier was nice. I don't recommend a big group come here. They do have seating for 6-8 people. But it's more of a come four or less type of joint.

Rosanne S.

Yelp
Good place to try out! Came here for the first time based on good previous reviews and really wanting a good burger... was not disappointed! We were greeted by really friendly staff who walked through the menu and options with us. Food was served fast and hot. We tried one smash burger and one smokehouse burger, tater tots, and fries. The burgers have a great smoked brisket flavor. Fresh toppings on our burgers, and the sauces were good. Price wise, expect to pay a little more- the portions are big! Neither of us could finish all our food, but even with the price, it was well worth it!

Brandon M.

Yelp
Service is top tier! Burgers are amazing, very cozy seating area! Gotta try the smokehouse burger won't disappoint!

Yelp
Great place if you craving an authentic burger with real meat! It's a little pricey but worthy
google avatar

Yelp
Lived in the area for 4 years & just now ate here. I have been missing out. So good, best onion rings I have ever had. Definitely do not pass this place up
google avatar

Jeff D.

Yelp
The food and ambiance were good but they are a little pricey. I do like the fact they have a help yourself burger fixings bar.
google avatar

Bret N.

Yelp
Wow! Now I remember why we had only been there once before. The burger wasn't bad, but it's a burger! How hard can it be? Please explain how 2 basic burgers, 2 iced teas, and 1 side of fries costs $45!!! She added a $5 tip on top of the bill to get to $45 and yet they provide NO SERVICE! Order from the counter, get your own drink, get your own silverware, get your own condiments! That is not service. There is no choice on the tip either. That is frankly theft. Needless to say I will never eat here again. I understand capitalism but this is just pure greed.

Judi S.

Yelp
Walk up to order, $49 for two burgers, fries, drinks. Not impressed with meal or atmosphere. The "service" was a delivery of our food on a tray to our table and nothing more. She took it upon herself to add a $5.97 service charge to our bill. Never again to that place!
google avatar

Justin H.

Yelp
Daddy/Daughter date. She takes after me with her love of hamburgers, enjoying The Saint Patty special.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Popped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Heard it was also "Fry Day" so $1 fries? We aren't local so haven't heard if this place before, but we will definitely be coming back on our way back through. We ordered the smoked burgers with And without buns and a salad with the fried chicken on top. We also got Fries and drinks. The smoked flavor in the burgers was perfection! It adds so much flavor to the burgers which are HUGE by the way...8oz Patty. Toppings are located separate at a toppings bar. The fries are SO good and salted to perfection. Very impressed with this local gem! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We spent the morning at the Tomball Farmers Market on Saturday and then walked across the street to Tejas Burger Joint for lunch. This place is affiliated with the amazing Tejas BBQ place around the corner. Their smokehouse burgers are smoked patties from their BBQ place (the pink you see is from the smoke, not that it's cooked rare). They also have smashed burgers, which are thinner patties pressed on a cooktop. I would have liked being able to order the burgers medium or medium rare but they're all fully cooked. I got the blank canvas smokehouse burger, which is just the plain burger and you add whatever fixings you want to it (the standard fixings - lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, jalapenos - are self serve. Other items are additional costs). It had a very nice smoky flavor and soft buttery bun. My daughter had the patty melt, which was 2 smashed patties, melty cheese and bacon. Very big and delicious. We didn't order any sides and still couldn't finished our meals. Just like the other Tejas restaurant, they are always delicious but definitely not cheap to visit frequently (it wouldn't be good for my health either).

Yelp
I discovered this jewel on a recent get together for BOTM (burger of the month ) UYE in January. This establishment serves smoked beef patties and they were absolutely delicious. I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger combo, that came with the fixings and French fries, which were golden, crispy and yum yum. The beef was really good. I could taste the smoked flavor with every bite and it was a half pound patty. The patty is somewhat pink looking but that's because of the smoked flavor. The buns were delicious and the juices from the burger sunk into the buns, but they held on. It a small sized restaurant, but very good. The employees were very helpful in describing the items and giving any details that we inquired about. I plan to visit them soon again, once restaurants open back up for dine-ins.

Yelp
BOTM, (Burger of the month)1/25/20 Olivia picked a great place again. Thank you so much Olivia. The burgers at Tejas Burger joint are really good. They are made from brisket; so its almost impossible to mess them up! I ordered a blank canvas(build your own)and added bacon and it also comes with free tots or fries. You can get onion rings for $2.00. This time I ordered french fries. They have all the fixin' for you to put on your burgers yourself. (Lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, pico de gallo and onions) The patty was seasoned perfect and was very juicy. It had a great smokey taste. Also the patty is not one of those thin things you get elsewhere. (Where's the beef) The fries were good too. Not greasy, limp or overcooked. I did not even finish all my food. The portions are quite big. All and all I had a great time and the food was very good. I would definitely return.
google avatar

Yelp
Uniquely delicious smoked burgers, good buns, fresh fixin''s, music, sidewalk cafe, somewhat cramped interior. Self service (no need to tip). I'd never had a smoked burger, and now there may be no going back to anything else! How has this remained hidden behind grilled or pan fried burgers ?? So much better depth of flavors as well as extra juicy. Onion rings were hot and crunchy. Obviously homemade which is is the only way: Bravo! Finally the fixin' bar: I used it to make a salad. There's some excellent cilantro dressing.

Yelp
This place is a great small place! Love the music they play and that they have the cooking channels on. Prices are great and the portions are great! They serve burgers, sandwiches, fries, onion rings, wine, and ice cream and they are all good! Staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Love this place and will be back more often!

Yelp
Good burgers, but not worth the drive to Tomball over getting their BBQ. I had the native Texan. It had a super juicy seasoned patty, along with salsa, cheese, and guac. It was very flavorful and...filling. I wish they had smaller patty sizes for their signature burgers. I would recommend splitting one if 1/2 lb is too much. I also tried the onion rings (not bad, but a bit more greasy than crisp) and tater tots (crispy and delicious). The prices are on the steep side (~$14), but the signature burgers come with fries/tots, or you can upgrade to onion rings. Seating is indoor/outdoor and limited. My order came out fast on a weekday at lunchtime. I think overall their burgers are good, but the price point will likely keep some away, along with the drive to Tomball. If you want a burger that isn't plain and ordinary, it's worth a try.

Barbara S.

Yelp
Price posted on print and posted menu was $11. I was charged $11.36 for plain and dry basic. I questioned the cashier and she claimed the difference was tax. No so, after totaling the tab manually with the difference in price of burgers and sides, I was over charged $3.46. Our burgers were done on the outside and warm in the center with an over abundance of seasoning and salt. We had to scrape off the seasoning. Fries and tator tots were good after you knocked off the heavy layer of salt. We wasted $47 on a meal that was barely palatable. Avoid this restaurant unless you are a salt junky. Bad food!!!
google avatar

Hilary R.

Yelp
Stopped by on a random trip to Tomball, burgers are smoky like BBQ - unique and delicious! I got a Bunless burger I think the original (bacon, grilled onions, aioli)

Stephen L.

Yelp
Me and my wife and 2 grandchildren went to their place to give it a try-The parking was a hassle, my burger had a strange flavor but the okra was ok (Left the burger missing just 1 bite) The wife ordered a hot dog and did not eat but 1 bite (Over cooked and flavor less)-When i got home i see that they added a 15% service fee without mentioning it-I called them 3 times to get an explanation and i had to leave a message for they did not answer the phone (They did not called back)-We paid $88.00 for 4 of us and needless to say we will not be going back.

Yelp
We were a little concerned being the only customers there on a Tuesday evening, but what a hidden gem. We ordered old fashioned style double patty burger cooked on the flat top and fries. The price for the base burger is very reasonable, especially for the quality, and you choose add ons like your cheese ($1 a slice) special sauces etc. produce and other toppings are in prepackaged individual servings at a wall counter. There were craft sodas and those were really nice. Service was excellent but not overly friendly which I prefer. The food was out of this world. French fries - straight cut and excellent crunchy exterior without being greasy with a smooth and creamy interior. Add your own seasoning at the table - the Texas Fry Dust - and get a whole new level of delicious. Generous portion as well. We could have split the fries as neither if us finished our combo order. The burger - easily 1/4-1/3 pound precooked weight, perfect sear accentuated on the edges, juicy interior in every bite, and really strong flavor profile. Bun was toasted perfectly and soft while holding up well to the juicy patties down to the last few bites. We will absolutely be back and if it is your first visit be prepared to find side street parking and walk up to the storefront entrance in the strip off Main street. There were a few outdoor tables and chairs but we chose to eat inside where the music was good and the TVs were on foodie channels. Great ambiance even though we had the place to ourselves.

Yelp
The food here is great, (normally). We have been here a few times before but today I'm not sure what was going on. The lady working the counter was rude, absolutely not friendly at all. There's already 15% gratuity added to your check which is ridiculous whenever you're dealing with someone who isn't even in the slightest, friendly. Maybe she was having a bad day, maybe not. Regardless, that made the experience bad, and to top it off had to send a grilled cheese back.... It really can't be that hard to melt the cheese on a grilled cheese. Also to add, when it came back a second time the cheese still wasn't melted lol... It's probably ridiculous to have high expectations for a grilled cheese but the over all customer service is what did it this visit. Hopefully in the future they will allow you to tip what the person deserves and not allow already added gratuity for someone who's rude.

Yelp
Great burger! The only thing that keeps me from wanting to recommend it to everyone is the fact that they don't sell burger combos (drinks and fries included with the burger all together) I felt like buying it all separately made it pretty pricey, for three people it was about $75 which is just so much to me... I feel like it should've been around $50. I hope they remedy this would love to bring friends back here!

Yelp
They say the best burger is the one you make at home, but if you don't feel like making one, then you definitely have to come here. I got the smokehouse burger, bad to the bone! Also the onion rings and fries were very good. We will come back!

Yelp
I'll start by pointing out that I'm unsophisticated in my lack of appreciation for smoked meat and smokey flavors. That fact aside, this place is a solid 10. Great prices, fries and drink were included. Good artisan self serve soda fountain. A huge selection of condiments including house made pickles, which I'm an absolute sucker for. My patty melt was great, I only wish that the patty itself had come closer to the edges of the bread. Everyone working here was very friendly. No one at our table had any complaints about anything. How about a Sugar Land location now?
