This is a perfect place to stay for a few nights. Cabins are quaint and full equipped with kitchen facilities. Right on the river with chairs to sit on and enjoy the views. O my 15 minutes walk into town for shops and tons of restaurants. The Lodge restaurant is excellent. Excellent customer service - all staff were polite and helpful. Highly recommend this Lodge and cabins.

Cute little cabins that was just what we needed after a long drive from Calgary. We enjoyed a drink by the river and a nice fireplace in our cabin at night. We slept so good! Staff was very kind and helpful. The lock on our door could be replaced (as it was very hard to open), but that is my only suggestion. Otherwise, we had a great stay!

We stayed in a lodge near the edge of the property so it felt very private. The staff and information provided was excellent. They gave us all the information at check in. We did arrive during a hear wave in the area. There is no AC in the lodge. A table fan is provided. With the windows open it was enough air circulation to provide a breeze. The location is great. Just outside main jasper town and it's about a quick 5 min drive in. Overall, I would recommend the place!

Was so pleased pulling up to this adorable lodge and cabins! It was just what I was hoping for while visiting Jasper on our Rockies road trip. Greeted by Anthony at our check in who was wonderful. Our duplex cabin was on the edge of the property so a lot of privacy and fairly quiet except for the family next door who we were attached to. Beautiful view. Cabin was fairly dark inside but comfortable. Deck and table outside were very sappy and sticky but that's the deal when you're in a beautiful forest. Thanks and wish we could have stayed longer!

Wonderful little cabins right along the river. All the staff were great and very helpful when we had a small issue with our bathroom. Great trails down to the river. Pet friendly. Our dog loved the experience. Close to town center, but you would think you were in the middle of the forest. Would definitely come back again as well as recommend to my family and friends. Well done Tekarra!

We stayed in one of the cabins. It was very comfortable and made a great base from which to explore Jasper National Park. The surroundings are beautiful and it was lovely to see elk grazing in the grounds near the cabins. The food in the restaurant was very good too. We hope to come back.

Stunning, peaceful location within an easy bike ride (or even walk) from Jasper centre, with amazing views across the river. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening wildlife talk around the fire one evening, complete with smores. There were good quality mountain bikes to rent too which was very convenient.

One month we visited from N.S. had had a wonderful vacation. The cabins were comfortable and had everything we needed. We got to chat with some of the other guests on the site, and the weather was perfect and your staff were awesome. I am thinking of everyone this evening and hope you are all safe.

Yelp
It's one of my favourite resorts in Jasper! They have very nice cabins! There are multiple trails around the resort! Nice view of Athabaska river in case you would like to enjoy the view and listen to the river and the trees! They have bicycles to rent and you can enjoy a couple of hours ( if not more) doing that! It's close to the town and in minutes you can enjoy what Jasper has to offer! Overall it's one of my favourite places to stay and I have always enjoyed my stay and will definitely go back there and I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Five friends stayed in the Columbia King Suite in July for 3 nights. We loved the property and surrounding area. We had just come from Canmore, where we stayed in a modern condo, and we were excited for the change of pace and scenery. I booked online and opted for the cheese board for when we arrived. We picked up two bottles of wine from the Tekarra Lodge and enjoyed our time in the cabin. Our first night there, the weather was hot, and our room was toasty! No A/C, but the fan we found in the closet worked well. The next two nights there, the temp. dropped significantly, and we were very cozy! Our first morning we did Yoga in the upstairs lodge and it was really wonderful. We also took advantage of the S'mores by the fire one of the nights. Both Yoga instructor and S'mores guy were very helpful with tips and suggestions (Thank you!!). The Athabasca river flows by the cabins. Highly suggest having your morning coffee (starbucks provided to make in the room) or happy hour drinks, river side in one of their many Adirondack chairs. We had a car, but walked into town daily (make a reservation at The Raven). It's about a mile each way, but there's a nice path (suggest bringing a headlamp if you walk back in the dark - after 11pm). There will most likely always be a train, but there's a footpath to avoid it. Our last day we saw several elk in the meadow by the sign for Lac Beauvert on the way to and from town. I didn't find this out until the last day, but you can take the walking path by the river into the woods and pop out by the bridge (where white water rafting trips end). From here you can also walk to Lac Beauvert. We also saw several female elk on our walk to the lake. One thing to note is to make sure you don't leave any food out.

Yelp
We intended to stay here for three nights but decided to cancel the last two nights after a disappointing experience on our first night. Our room was full of mosquitoes and we spent a majority of the time trying to kill them, which made it difficult to sleep. The size of the room and bed was smaller than it looked in the photos and there was no AC. When we called the number they gave us to cancel our reservation, the lady on the phone was very helpful and said they'd be able to reduce or waive the cancellation fee. However, when we talked to the front desk lady in the morning, she said she wouldn't be able to waive the early departure fee since they were holding the room for us and other people couldn't book it. However, the vacancy sign was on the entire time we were there so I'm a bit confused as to who they were holding it for if there were empty rooms. While this type of lodging may appeal to some, I felt that what you're paying for is overpriced compared to the lodging in Banff and surrounding areas. Even though it was an interesting experience, since there are better options available elsewhere, we will not be coming again.

Yelp
Stayed here last year when my mum was visiting, we stayed in the one bedroom with a sofa bed. They are really cute cabins and loved our stay here. The only down side was that the bathroom was in the bedroom so it was a bit annoying if you had to use the bathroom at night. Would definitely stay here again but if there were more guests than two I would recommend a bigger cabin.

Yelp
How possible on earth it is for a place to be so wrong on everything? I booked my 190$ stay on Booking and as mentioned on the website, payment is done on site. Once there, I learned that I had to pay 200$ extra as a security payment, meaning as much as the price of the room, which I was not aware of before head and which is also not mentioned on their website. Then, I discovered the room which was ridiculously small. The curtain-rod kept falling apart, there were hair on the bathroom walls which were definitely not mine, the food of the included breakfast was not good at all and on top of that, the dishes were dirty. This place is way too pricey for what it is and the team management clearly lacks of ethics. Coming back? Certainly not.

Yelp
The actual location of the lodge is a off of Hwy 93A North (http://maps.google.ca/maps/place?q=Tekarra+Lodge,+Jasper,+Alberta&hl=en&cid=8705804007347054532). It's an affiliate to Coast Hotels, so that was fairly reassuring when I booked the place as a last minute stay. We lucked out and got a beautiful cabin with two double beds and a pull-out sofa. Unfortunately, the GPS didn't have the road listed in it, so we got a little lost, but people in the area knew exactly where it was. I was a bit worried when we arrived and saw the sign in bright neon letters behind a wooden stick font, but the second we saw our cabin I was sold. Right behind the cabin was a small pond, and while the entire site was full of other guests milling around, the second we stepped into our suite we felt completely at home. The place is well furnished, had a few cobwebs hanging from the ceiling which we could easily get rid of, had a very clean bathroom and kitchen, and a lovely wood-burning fireplace. It was small for the amount of beds it held, but I never felt cramped. The front desk was extremely nice, they were very friendly and provided us with lots of information while we were there. It's a very convenient drive to town, entering the downtown area (it's walkable even, if you don't mind the bugs). There are lots of wildlife in the area so it's great for sight-seeing. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for options in Jasper. We had a larger party so this cabin suited us, but Tekarra also has suites for smaller parties. They've also got an amazing restaurant on the grounds serving some delicious local foods!

Yelp
HEAVENLY! One of my favorite things was jumping into the ice cold (3degree) lake and then running into the wood burning sauna immediately after! The staff was so sweet they watched us jump in the lake and then guided us to the sauna Hotel: +Spacious rooms -Small small bathrooms -NOT sound proof walls...at all. We had a conversation with our friends through the wall wh stayed next door to us. +Sauna available if you give the staff a 1hr heads up that you want to use it. It is a wood burning sauna so you have to give them some time...worth it though! Location: +Breath-taking scenery +The trail head for a great waterfall hike starts right outside of the hotel. Food: +Delicious! +LOTS of it!...the Elk Burger is massive! A whopping 8oz was too much because we started off with the cheese platter and 4 servings of delicious bread baskets. +Breakfast was quick, they don't offer a continental buffet but they get your orders out pretty rapidly. -Not many light options for breakfast (I opted for a side of scrambled eggs, yogurt, and a bowl of fruit...the yogurt was definitely not the low-fat option I am used to but it did fuel me for the day) +Someone else in our party ordered the pancakes and he could not stop talking about them the rest of the trip...get the pancakes!

Yelp
Very clean, older style cabin. We slept good. Tiny bathroom, but okay. Food was decent and the service was excellent. I think staff are working hard to make it a pleasant stay for guests. Grounds were well maintained and beautiful.

Yelp
Very expensive for what it is. The place is animal friendly which is good but for $244+gst (and that's not including a dog) a night I expect more. The restaurant is very over priced too, you are better off going into Jasper and eating at one of the restaurants there.

Yelp
cute little cabin, comfy bed, beautiful nature setting. We sat by the river and watched the sunset. In the evening, we went back and did stargazing. Truly beautiful, a million stars in the sky. We had heard the restaurant is superb, but the menu looked pricy so we ended up going into the town for a meal. I would have loved to splurge on the meal here at the lodge otherwise. Although it is not located in the town, it is less than 5-10 minutes drive away. For the trees, river and nature scenery I am happy to be away from the town.

Yelp
Very enjoyable stay, only stayed for 2nights but it was definitely worth it the newly renovated bathrooms were very clean and updated. The cabin itself was cozy and pretty peaceful. (Stayed in the Alberta queen bed)

Yelp
We have stayed for 2 nights in this country like lodges Although it is not close to downtown, it is next to the merging points of two rivers. The scenery is great. The lodge was not too big but enough for a whole family with cooking facilities. It is enjoyable sitting outside and making our bbq. It has a up-class restaurant and a very gourmet menu. The food we ordered were nice but a bit expensive.
