Tekka by Lone Japanese restaurant

We had the best dining experience ever at Tekka! The waiter was incredibly kind and helped us choose the perfect dishes. The gyoza was amazing, and we were also treated to a special kitchen welcome, which was a fantastic touch. Every dish was super fresh and smelled incredible. The restaurant’s vibe and theme are spot on, creating a perfect atmosphere for a memorable meal. An absolute must-visit—we’ll definitely be back!

Came here via Michelin Guide mention. Maybe my mistake was having Japanese food in Croatia. Extremely disappointed - first biggest issue was while we were one of maybe 4 tables, we only had our amuse bouche and salad in 45 minutes. By the 75 minute mark, we finally got our hot main, and finally had to tell them to not wait to start our sushi course. We were interested in trying dessert but had to pass because of how long the meal had already taken. Still, the staff was very welcoming and nice. Then, the food. Passable but not of Michelin guide standard based on my experiences especially with Japanese food. Particularly the rice in the nigiri and rolls was not quite right and really impacted the taste. Finally, the atmosphere was sterile - inside at least, the garden looked like it could’ve been delightful. It felt cold causing the wait between our courses even more stark.

An honest take: whenever in Rovinj, we are regular guests there, several times per vacation:-). Superb food, service to wish for, wine list to perfectly match the dishes…the garden is amazing during the summer, inside seating equally good during the winter. Wrongfully without a Michelin recommendation or even a star. Will continue to go there and thoroughly enjoy all of it.

The cooked food like the veal wok and the spring rolls were delicious..only thing to note is the long wait but it's the weekend and the place is full. We saw it as a good opportunity to speak to the people at your table and leave your phone. Sushi was good and fresh.

Excellent experience, amazing delicious food, attention to every detail. Also to mention, great service highly contributed to make our dining experience amazing. If you are searching for high quality Japanese restaurant, and don't mind spending little bit of money, this is a place to go. Strongly recommended!

The restaurant is embedded into the LONE Design Hotel. The placing outside is done well, the staff has been very friendly both times we visited. The Sushi (we enjoyed several versions of rolls / Uramaki) is very fresh & tasty and presented in a beautiful way.

The food was not the best. It wasn’t very authentic Japanese and more of a fusion food. Although fusion food is good this was just very pricey and not great flavour. For example, the scampi tartare is the size of a walnut and costs 40eur. It is a Michelin starred restaurant, and they will cost more, but that is too much. The wok noodles also were overly salted and didn’t taste like Michelin material. The service was okay, the staff was kind but maybe a bit cold. The atmosphere was very good, outside it wasn’t hot but nice and cool, there was music and it was all nice. So overall 3/5, with the food dragging the review down the most.
