Overall, the food was quite tasty. I took off a star because the lobster was small. About the same size as the shrimp. Service was excellent. The waiter came by to check on us several times throughout the dinner along with I think the General Manager. Ambiance was very nice with second floor views of the streets. The photos are what we ordered and shared as family style. Definitely worth a revisit in the future.

Very good Spanish cuisine. We have been here before for my birthday a few years ago, but we had friends and family and came for lunch, ordered only lots of apps. This time we came last night, just the 2 of us. It was Saturday night and we had made a reservation for 5pm a few hours before. Otherwise, we def would have had to wait a while for a table. We had: 6 Iberian oysters with gazpacho and pearls (fish eggs?) $30 - very good, decorated with mini edible flowers. 2 La gambas $8 - very tasty, little bacon wrapped shrimps deep fried in panko and skewered. 1 Lobster paella $62 - very good, flavorful, with shrimp and octopus. Chose the "crispy" version of rice (instead of "soft"). 1 Paella negra $48 - also tasty, but a little less, I think the squid ink "matte-ifies" the flavor some. With shrimp, scallops, clams and octopus. It was less salty and "bright" than the other. Chose "crispy" rice. 2 glasses red wine $38 1 La Flaca drink $16 - very good! 1 Flamenquita $16 - very good! I took off a star for 2 reasons: It was hard to hear the very nice waitress - she spoke softly and the place was packed with patrons and staff and was kind of loud. Also, we received the check, and at the bottom, before the tax, was in all-caps and highlighted with marker: SERVICE CHARGE 20%. For 2 ppl? And then, when I did the calculations, they TAXED the entire meal AND 20% service charge too! (See pic). I was like NOPE, not gonna happen. When I showed the waitress, and explained that the service charge had been taxed, she could not explain. I told her that's not acceptable, and she said something about it being not required, but it was PART of the check AND being taxed. So she came back with a new receipt, without the charge (see pic). And then we tipped 20% like usual (on the un-taxed amount). We will def be back - I need to try more apps and for sure need to try the Prime Wellington and Ibérico Paella! Thank you for a great meal!

Teleféric Barcelona serves polished, flavorful Spanish plates, but my visit was undermined by how a service issue was handled. Food highlights - Paella Negra: Deep, briny squid-ink rice with perfectly cooked shrimp and clams; creamy aioli provided a bright counterpoint. - Crab Croquetas: Crisp exterior and silky, well-seasoned crab interior. - Wagyu Empanadas: Flaky pastry with a juicy, savory wagyu filling. Service and incident I found a hair in my drink. Staff repeatedly checked in afterward in a way that felt overbearing and made the situation uncomfortable rather than reassuring. Management did not offer a comp for the contaminated drink. Given the clear nature of the issue, I expected a discrete, manager-led resolution such as a refund or comp and a brief apology. Ambiance note The dining area is on the second story with an open-air terrace; it is NOT a rooftop. The space feels elevated without being on the building’s roof. Verdict Good technique and dishes, but the service recovery fell short. I would return if the restaurant addressed how managers handle contamination complaints and trains staff to resolve them discreetly.

This place never disappoints. The food is excellent and absolutely reminiscent of the tapas in Barcelona. It brings back fond memories of the place! The Jamon Iberico is a must! I also always like going with some sort of empanadas. We also recommend the Paella!

Cute spot. Food was good. The ahi tuna tacos were great and literally came out 30 seconds after ordering. Loud busy atmosphere on a Friday night. Not much on the menu for someone who doesn’t eat meat.

The service was amazing. Our sever was quick to refill our water and very attentive. The food was delicious overall; we especially enjoyed the Iberian oyster, which was very tasty and Paella negra. I just wish there were a bit more meat, but overall, it was a great experience. Just note that there’s an automatic 20% service charge added to the bill.

The food was fantastic! Everything we tried was delicious. We had the wagyu empanada, gambas al ajillo, paella mixta, and churros. The churros were free because we signed up as a member in open table, where we made our reservation. We will definitely be back!

Great location, great service and, most important of all, the food here are better than the food that we ate when we were in Barcelona last year. The Catalan Tomahawk was perfectly cooked and the broccolinis are the perfect side dish. The oysters, the octopus, the chicken Empanadas are all very good appetizers but the we didn't care for the wagyu Empanadas much. The churros are a must for dessert. They were so good that we ordered a second serving. We live in San Francisco but we're definitely coming back ASAP...

The staff totally made this an experience and I love that. It felt warm but sheik as you were teleported to Spain. You feel the fancy vibes as you enter and I'm all for it. All the food and drinks were on point. The octopus was one of the best I've had. I can't wait to go back and try more dishes!!! Please don't skip dessert! Happy eating!!!

2nd time coming here and I definitely had higher hopes than the first time I went since I knew a little bit more of what to expect. Where this restaurant excels is in its exquisite presentation from the ambience to the food to the drinks. Where I find myself having issues is with the portions of certain things. I understand it's not a buffet or a lower-end restaurant but 9 dollars for 4 thin slices of bread and a "lobster, shrimp, and octopus" paella that had literally 0 octopus to be seen. I don't expect the entire pacific ocean on my plate but I didn't expect such sparse amounts either lol. Good restaurant for a special occasion but I don't see myself coming back just because I'm craving it

I've been to the location in Palo Alto twice and LOVED it so I had high hopes for this location in Walnut Creek. It's located in downtown Walnut Creek on the second floor. The seating seems more casual and the music was not as loud at this location. I didn't get the same vibes but this location seemed to be bigger than the one in PA. I sat down with my group and we ordered family-style. Here is what we ordered and what I thought of the flavors of these dishes: - Cauliflower (3/5): Not as much sauce/dressing as the PA location - Brussel Sprouts (5/5): Yum! - Ham and Cheese Croqueta (5/5): Solid croquetta, smooth texture inside and nice crispy outside - Patatas Bravas (2/5): Flavor was ok - Paella Mixta (3/5): Shrimp was perfectly cooked flavor was ok - Iberico Pork Paella (5/5): It was a little salty but flavors were balanced About my overall experience: Overall the dishes were good - we had a group of girls take a spoonful (or two) of each tapa. As I devoured every small bite of tapa...I bit into something hard. I was eating the patatas bravas and thought the edges of the potatoes were overly crispy or something but I took it out and it was a freaking rock. My mind was worried about where this rock came from (in the kitchen), how much of the food was contaminated, and just...if this was going to happen again. I reluctantly told our server who was surprised there was a rock and offered to replace it but honestly, I was disgusted and didn't get a satisfactory answer for why it was there nor efforts to figure out what happened. Now onto our paellas. Everything looked amazing so I hesitantly scooped some paella from both pans and carefully picked at it. Both paellas were good, but I really enjoyed the Iberico Pork one the most. I started picking at the rice - it was fine. I picked at the mushroom - it was really flavorful and food. Then, I picked at the pork - took a bite and came across another hard, "crunchy" thing. I took it out and it was another rock. I mentioned it to the server and she looked at me in disbelief that I found another rock. I was disappointed in the service - especially because I was more concerned about what food was contaminated (for us and other people). The manager was kind enough to offer a new paella to replace the one with a rock but let's be real - by that point I had lost my appetite. Pros: - Iberico Pork Paella and Brussel Sprouts flavor is good - Manager comped the contaminated foods and offered new paella. I would have been satisfied if they could figure out where it could have come from Cons: - It's expensive for what you get - Disappointing in the quality of service at this location. I still think the PA location has better service. Found out after the fact that my friend also had a small rock in her bite of Paella Mixta but didn't want to say anything in case they think we were trying to get our meal comped. All to say - I wont be visiting this location anytime soon and please check your food while you're there.

I've been to the other teleferic locations so assumed this would be the same. However for some reason, this spot wasn't as good as the other locations. It was a bit heavier than usual, and the paella seems to have lost its seasoning :( the drinks were good though and the service was also nice.

Tapas is like the Spanish version of Chinese dim sum. We ordered 5 orders of different tapas and then a paella. Spanish Meatballs -four portions to an order These are beef meatballs and a flavorful Canary masala sauce with manchego cheese and fried potatoes sticks. I like the crispy topping , which looked liked slivers of ham and was a nice touch Ham Croquetas - four to an order Not as delicious as I remember. Still worth ordering because it is a nice rendition of a ham croquetas. Roasted Chicken Empanadas with aioli sauce - 4 to an order Not as delicious as I remember. The curry spice in the chicken filling was prominent and the wrapper was crunchy. Gambas Al Ajillo Gulf Shrimp -4 shrimp to an order. Not as delicious as I remember. Lots of oil, but no flavor so the Shrimp had no flavor Patatas Bravas with Brava Sauce and aioli Spicy, but delicious Iberico Pork Paella - Large Serves 4 Crunchy crust and flavor was nice. You could taste the garlic in the rice. The pork was not dry. Mocktail Soda, lemonade, prickly pear, honey, rosemary, lime slice, orange slice and mixed berries The mocktail was refreshing! I enjoyed it because it was a nice contrast in flavor to the spiciness in the Patata Bravas.

Teleferic in Walnut Creek is a really fun vibe. I love the music, the decor, the drinks!!! Their menu is clearly labeled for those with food allergies, but I would advise asking questions - b/c I ordered the tres leches arroz con leche, which was wheat free and yet ... they delivered it to the table with a cookie in it. The staff who pick up empty plates were kind of disruptive and rude, reaching for plates that were not finished and glasses that were half full. Felt like they were pushing us out. Lastly, they include a 20% gratuity charge in your bill. You are not able to decide the tip, so whether or not service is at a 20% par, that is what you'll be paying. I don't come often because there are so many reasons not to. However, when I have friends or family visiting - I do bring them here for the vibes.

While I enjoyed my time and meal here; however, I personally preferred the Palo Alto chain. The presentations, ambiance, and taste seemed better to me. I fully enjoyed the flavors of the paella but could definitely benefit from having more seafood (mostly rice and a few mini size scallops and ~7 good size shrimps). The empanada were dry and a tad bland in seasonings. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower were trenched in sauces and overpowered the natural taste of the vegetables.

This is my favorite restaurant chain and I had only been to the LG location before this. We came on a Sunday evening and had a reservation so the restaurant was really packed. The tapas were amazing and paella was also so good. I would definitely recommend getting the pork belly, squid ink paella, brussel sprouts, and octopus! This place is super consistent and have never had an issue. The menu is great and has a large variety of items that are all super good. The service was great as well and our waiter was super attentive and checked in with us multiple times. The inside was clean and had great lighting. Ambiance was comfortable and inviting. Will definitely be back!

Food and service is always good Only have pictures of the paella but my other favorite dishes are the octopus, tuna tacos and the cauliflower!

We finally tried this spot and did it for Mother's Day. Made a reservation and were seated right away on the covered outside patio- it was very nice and comfy. Our server was friendly and enthusiastic. Wife loves tapas and this is the recommended spot. We ordered quite a few dishes and the standouts were pork belly with roasted corn, the tuna tacos, crab/tuna croquettes, the Brussels, pulpo, and the tomahawk ribeye. I would have given five stars but the paella was only lukewarm, the gambas with garlic needed more garlic. The dessert trio was very good. Service was excellent, the patio was great, and the food and drinks were tasty.

This is a beautiful stylish classy restaurant but the food was just ok. Came with two girlfriends and we shared several tapas dishes--the pulpo, empanadas, artichoke hearts, gambas, and meatballs. I think the artichoke was my favorite--lightly crisp and with a nice dipping sauce. The pulpo was maybe 3/5, gambas shrimp 2-3/5, empanadas 3/5 and meatballs 2-3/5. Nothing wowed me. Also ordered what I thought was a mocktail--the tourist but apparently she didn't hear this and got me a regular tourist. I'm unfortunately allergic to alcohol, so after a few sips I wasn't feeling quite right. The server did bring me a new one that was alcohol free but still ended up charging me for it. I couldn't even really drink it bc I felt so ill from having part of the alcoholic version. The best part of the dinner was the dessert. We had the trio and all 3 were delish, though surprisingly the churros were my least favorite (and I love me my churros). The arroz tres leches had wonderful flavor and chewy rice bits, and the torrija was the best--crispy exterior and warm, custardy interior with tasty vanilla ice cream on the side. Skip the dinner, stay for dessert!

With the price and experience, it was disappointing, sad to say. The Tomahawk was the main reason why. Reservation 5/5- this was smooth. We were able to get seated amidst showing up 15 mins or so earlier Ambiance 4/5- looks nice, clean and fun Service 3/5 - there were a few times it felt our waiter forgot about us. And a complimentary dessert towards a failed $120 steak feels offensive Appetizer Kebab Skewers 4/5 - a bit dry but good. The star of the dish was the hummus. Wish there were more chips Greens Bruselas 4/5 - good but we've had better. With the sauce/cream already melted, it seemed as if it sat for a while before it got to our table Platos Catalan Tomahawk 1/5 - For the price, this was really disappointing. We ordered medium rare but, instead, we got a very dry well done steak. 1 rating since it was well seasoned but still was very disappointing especially for the price. We expressed tot he waiter our disappointment but told him we're to hungry to wait for another one so we ate it. He gave us complimentary desserts which, in my mind, not enough for the frustration but whatever. How can the chef make a hige error of giving us a well done dry steak when we asked for medium rare? Did we get somebody else's reject? Paella Negra 4/5 - great dish, well seasoned, enjoyed by all. The only reason we couldn't rate it 5/5 is due to overcooked clams and almost overcooked shrimp. Still, we liked this dish. Dessert 5/5 on taste since free, but bear in mind, these were free because they made a huge steak mistake. Overall 2/5 rating was really due to the steak mishap. And since the waiter sensed our disappointment, it felt like he avoided us till it was time for the bill. We may have eaten the steak but that is only because we were hungry and it said Tomahawk takes 40 mins. And like I stated earlier, free dessert for a failed $120 steak? Seriously! It was my daughter's birthday and her first time to Teleferic Barcelona. She said, it was a mistake to spend so much on such a steak. Home cooked steak would've tasted so much better.

Our friends' last day with us, so we had our last dinner. We took them to one of our favorite Spanish restaurant in Walnut Creek, Teleferic Barcelona. FOOD We ordered plates that we shared with each other: Patatas Bravas, Gambia's Al ajillo, Meatballs, Artichoke Hearts, Crab Croquetas, Brussel sprouts. Of course, we had to order drinks as we enjoyed these dishes. I ordered Barceloneta Sangria, a Virgin drink with lychee in it (my husband ordered it). Our friend ordered Liquid Silk( pineapple rum, milk, bitters, pineapple For dessert, we shared the following: Churros con Nutella, ... I would definitely come back and recommend, Teleferic Barcelona.

I came here for a birthday recently and pretty much ordered all the paellas there were. Lobster paella - bountiful chunks of lobster. The rice was delightful and the socarrat on the bottom was excellent as well. The lobster brought about a very dominant seafood flavor in the rice overall. Solid dish. Iberico Pork Paella - MY friends and my favorite paella of the night. There were huge pieces of pork and chicken in the paella and the flavor in this one was unparalleled compared to the others. I kept on going for 3rds and 4ths plate after plate for this one. The umami and flavor of this paella seemed richer and more prominent than the others. Paella Mixta - Solid overall. There was a good mix of seafood, chicken, and pork in this one and flavor was good, but not better than the pork one. Paella Negra - Different! The squid ink in my opinion didn't add much to the dish overall but it was a solid paella nonetheless!

The minute you walk in - service is done so well to the T, from the hostess to the waiter. Telerific Barcelona is definitely one of our favorites! Will contest to say that their paella is one of the best we've had (this is compared to paella we've had in Spain). Be sure to order the paella extra crispy (not sure what term they use, but we always ask for this and the bottom is always crisp which is the best way to have it in my opinion. Appetizer sharing is the way to go, pulpo, croqueta's being the favorites. We also LOVE the cocktails here!! All around best experience. Great for lunch and dinner and a date night!!

Finally tried this place. Definitely recommend to make an appointment. We ordered paella Negra (squid ink), crab croquettes and heart artichoke. Surprisingly my favorite was the heart artichoke. The curry dressing works well with the slightly fried artichoke. It would be a good broth to dip with some bread. Crab croquettes is also pretty good but the portion is small. The stuffing is cheesy and creamy and does not have fishy taste.

I'm ready to hit Barcelona. The paella is so good I can't help but order the black ink everytime. They even loan you the iron skillet if you order the dish to-go to keep the rice slightly burnt. Perfect for date night.

We went here as a large group with kids. The food is delicious and so flavorful. The quantities are a bit small, wish it was a bit more. We tried a few different hinge including the Lobster Paella and enjoyed everything. The service was good and the ambience is chill. Definitely an experience worth a try.

I've been coming to Buon Gusto's since it was a small restaurant across the street, which became more of a take-out pizzeria, for a bigger place and continued the same wonderful service and food and service. This was back in the 1990's, I think. Vincenzo is still there providing wonderful hospitality with grace. It was so good to see him! I my family has made many wonderful memories at Buon Gusto. I live in Massachusetts now, so it's very that I would be in SSF to enjoy the best carpaccio and most tender veal dishes! Thank you!

Downtown Walnut Creek is loaded with good eats and Telefèric Barcelona is definitely one of them. Established in 2016, this location has a cool and modern vibe. Among the things we've tried were: Cali-Flower - There's no better way to get your veggies in than these crispy cauliflower florets! The romesco sauce at the bottom and the cheese foam on top brought these pops to a higher level. Crab Croquetas - Served on a steel grid atop a piece of wood, these croquettes were lovely to look at. Creamy chunks of crab inside and topped with a thin slice of tuna and aioli - very appetizing but rather small and pricey. Pulpo Telefèric - Another elegantly plated dish - a Galician octopus tentacle served with truffle oil and paprika potato purée. The octopus was tender and the purée was a good complement. And let's not forget the aroma... Fantastic! Paella - We had the Paella Negra (squid ink, squids, gulf shrimps, scallops, octopus, and clams) and the Maine Lobster Paella (lobster, gulf shrimps, and octopus). Both were very well-executed and tasted awesome. Took some time to come out which was expected and understandable, but absolutely worth the wait. They both had enough socarrat for a family of four to share! The Dubs are doing horribly right now, but these paellas were as good as Steph's 3-pointers. Splash! Churros con Nutella - We ended our dinner with these fried dough (for the win!) to mask some of seafood taste. Crunchy-licious! Service was attentive and friendly which made us enjoy the experience even more. Parking was easy either on the streets or in nearby garages. Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply appeasing that craving for Spanish cuisine, Telefèric Barcelona is a very solid option this side of the bay...

Took a lil trip downtown and decided to give this place a spin. It's in a decent area few parking spots, second floor under rooftop bar. The place was fairly empty when we went for lunch, really clean joint. Menu was Tapas heavy, so many good ones we didn't know which to choose, entrees weren't as abundant. EVERYTHING and i mean nearly Everything features ham. We started with crab croquetas which were very good, topped with the ham fat. Next we went for the special which was chorizo Bao. The Bao was good, just a bit over on the sweet side for me, wasn't able to taste the spice in the chorizo, but good nonetheless. We also tried the Spanish meatballs which was so lean we thought it could've been ground turkey lol but it was in fact beef! The Marsala was a hit on the meatballs, gave them a nice profile. Last minute we added on the octopus, i have eaten it before but never as a whole tentacle, which is how it came out today. But i was impressed, it went well with the sauce, i am now a fan! Entree options were a short list, it was either a paella, salmon, a tomahawk steak, or Prime Wellington. The Wellington was good, a little bit dry, they did inject it after it arrived on the plate, i should've probably asked for more, the Spanish mashed potatoes were whipped to perfection and featured ham on top. My shorty got the salmon over a cauliflower sauce which of course i dug into as well, also topped with ham, It was a good dish. We also tried their drinks, gothic mojito, which comes out with dry ice and it is bubbling as can be. I had a iberico sour, which also has the ham in it lol, was very good, very smooth. Went with another drink called book & broom which was a special and it was the best drink I've had in awhile, came out in a lil book decor, and featured a rose implanted in the ice. We shared a dessert, the La cookie, topped with vanilla ice cream and filled with Nutella Highly recommend this place if you're in town. NOTE: they add on a 20% gratuity for their employees. Not an issue as we are supporters of working people, but don't be surprised when u see it

Used to be a regular at the bar! Fantastic service, beautiful decor & ambience, and the best drinks in Walnut Creek! The empanadas, Spanish meatballs, & lobster paella are to die for. I always recommend the passion fruit mojito, spicy sangria, & queen bee cocktail.

This place is super cute! Ambiance was nice for a girls night out, family dinner, or date night. The waiters are very attentive and plates are cleared away so quickly. The team is always paying attention since it's tapas style, lots of dishes get ordered. It was very hot in the restaurant itself, so don't wear a thick sweater like I did. We ordered a bunch of items. Portions for the Patatas Bravas was great, crispy and delicious. Chicken empanadas were good as well, I would reorder. Octopus was one long piece- table favorite along with the oysters. The tomato spread on the bread was well done and not soggy. The burrata and tomato salad was okay, not my favorite due to the texture and lack of flavor. The vegetable paella was fantastic - definitely order one of the paellas! Cocktails were great - nice presentation and well balanced. El Flaca was fantastic: smoky because of the mezcal but not overpowering. This cocktail comes with a cloud on top and the waiter was very nice to add another one when the first one popped as he put the drink on the table. All the cocktails had a great presentation. Full menu with plenty of options for all preferences. Even the mocktail was on the specials! Once the night ended we headed up to the third floor called The Rooftop for another round of drinks. The whole space/building is very nicely done. Can't wait to come back!

Service was great here. The sangrias were very good. The paellas were well made too. We also tried the tomahawk steak, it was very tender, but it was a little too on the rare side for me. We had a group of 10 so we were able to try a lot of things. The restaurant was on the second floor, and it looks like they had a rooftop third floor too. The place really filled up on the weekend so definitely make reservations. It was a fun place for a group of people.

If you're on a bender and you need some drunchies to power you through the night, these are dishes that I recommend - bruselas - crab croquetas - Spanish meatballs I am a huge brussel sprouts girly and when cooked right, it can get me weak on my knees. This is what their brussel sprouts did to me. They were more on the sweeter but light flavor side which I am not opposed to. I swear I need to know the recipe cuz when I make brussel sprouts, it's never this good. As for the croquettes, definitely more on the filling side. It is super rich and creamy and it is topped off with sashami which felt more like a salami texture (good for raw fish haters like me). Moving on to another one of my favorite, the Spanish meatballs!!! So not sure if you're like me but sometimes I eat meatballs that doesn't taste like real meat. They are very clever with their texure game cuz they added some crunchy bits and I really enjoyed that in my mouth! As you can tell the tapas here were so good but what made me super excited was the drink I had Barceloneta sangria. I hate wine unless it's Stella Rosa and I am still figuring out what type of alcohol girly am I but if it had to be this one right here, I would not be mad. It is bubbly, light, and sorta sweet. Definitely one of the good drinks to savor as you eat their tapas. As for the service, everyone is super friendly! I would only reccomend you to book a reservation if you want to not sit down at the bar and enjoy bigger things like their paella (will def be back for this).

My second time at this location and my only experience with teleferic. People rave about this restaurant ..I'm still kinda on the fence. The vibes are lively and the staff friendly. The ausgust brut was fire. In terms of food...my fave was the lobster paella, the croquettes were mouth watering delicious, the tomahawk steak was good, and the churros ...I mean how can you mess up churros. drank a lot ate a lot...have cool views of the area from the terrace. Def will try and go to their other locations... at some point. Cool spot if you're in the area.

Despite previously enjoying exceptional experiences at Teleferic, this visit left us somewhat disappointed. With a 6 PM reservation, we ordered paella upon arrival alongside appetizers and drinks. Unfortunately, the estimated wait of 25-35 minutes extended far beyond expectations. An hour passed, and our paella was still nowhere in sight, compounded by the fact that we were seated outdoors. Seeking an update, our server was unaware of the delay, assuring us it would arrive in 10 minutes despite the hour-long wait. Only after the manager intervened did we discover our ticket was lost, leading to a staggering delay of an hour and 15 minutes. Adding to the frustration, a neighboring table, seated and ordered after us, received the same paella nearly 30 minutes earlier. Server asked us if we wanted to talk to the manager at first but we told him idk what he can do for us so no...but the whole situation prompted the manager to offer a 50% discount on the paella and a complimentary dessert. Though the mishap was disheartening, the management's resolution and effort to rectify the situation were commendable. It made us feel like our time was valued as and redeemed the experience to a degree. We plan to return, albeit more mindful of timing in the future

Food was okay - don't get the meatballs. Drinks were also okay... they look pretty, but they're the kind of drink that gets better as you go. The potatoes had the most flavor. The empanadas were thin and dry, but okay. Everything is pretty mediocre. And service is a little slow. The host may be making choices not just based on when your name went on the list. With all the choices in Walnut Creek, you can give this a try, but I don't know why you would. I came when they first opened and had a similar experience. I figured I would try again since it's been a while... I'm still not impressed.

Delicious and pretty fancy!! Went for just a girly get together and shared a paella among two people.. would def come with more friends to try other things on their extensive menu, but the outdoor seating was shaded and perfect on a sunny day. Service was welcoming, kind, and very helpful with the recommendations, and everyone was dressed up pretty fancy to dine in. Would come again to celebrate a special occasion!

We have been hearing about and trying to visit this restaurant for a long time. We like Spanish food, but unfortunately, do not get to eat it very often in general. We were lucky enough to get engaged in Barcelona years ago, and always think back to the good memories and food. We were fortunate enough to stop in today, since our son was at a play date for a couple of hours. It is such a fun place to go to, it's located on the second floor of a shared building with other places to eat as well. The food and service were top-notch, we truly enjoyed eating tapas, and having a drink that brought us back down memory lane. The tapas are very reasonably priced, with delicious with meat and veggie options. We ordered some of the staples, like patatas bravas, Pulpo, and pan con tomate. The drinks were delicious, we had a flight of sangria, while the wife had a virgin sangria. We really enjoyed our visit there, and can't wait to return to try more things off the wonderful menu!

Food was good but on the pricey side. Not a place I'd come to for a casual dinner but more of a special occasion spot. I recently came for dinner on Saturday night. I made reservations a couple days beforehand and the only time slot left was 5 pm for two people. On the day of, I was running late from a hike and let the restaurant know. They moved my reservation to 5:15, and I came around 5:30 and was seated quickly. The restaurant is located in downtown Walnut Creek, so there's not a lot of street parking to be found. We parked in a garage a block away from the restaurant and paid $3 for 2 hours of parking. We were seated on their outdoor patio. It's covered and has heat lamps, but unfortunately our table was not directly under the heat lamp, so it was a bit chilly. We both kept our jackets on for the whole meal. The menu felt a bit more limited compared to some of the other tapas places I've been to. For example, my friend loves getting the tortilla de patatas / Spanish omelette at tapas places, and they don't offer that here. We got two tapas and two paellas: Empanadas ($14) - the empanadas here are crispy chicken ones served on a skewer. I've never had round and flat empanadas like this before but they were good Pulpo ($19) - a lot of reviews mentioned the octopus here, so I wanted to try it out. It was really good, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but it is pricey for the portion Paella negra ($46) - squid ink paella with shrimp, scallops, octopus, and clams. The flavor of the rice was really good, but I wish they included a bit more seafood in the dish. I had several bites where it was just rice with no seafood. Still, it's the best paella I've had in years. The aioli on the side went really well with the rice and was a good creamy addition to the dish. Vegetable paella ($38) - my friend ate this mostly. I tried a bite and while it was good, I liked my paella negra more as I found it more flavorful I finished about half of the paella, and so did my friend, so I'd say the paella servings here are good for 2-3 people to share with a couple of tapas. Please note they do charge 20% gratuity on all bills, which they explained goes to all workers in the restaurant and not just the servers. I get why the restaurant does it, but it always rubs me the wrong way when restaurants do this especially for smaller groups. I really liked the paella here, so I can see myself getting it to go in the future, but not sure if I'll be back to dine in.

Came here for a NYE dinner and left with a happy and full stomach! We got to order from their NYE menu and everything was so delicious! My favorites had to be the ham croquettes, secreto paella, eggplant sticks, and pulpo teleferic. They were seasoned so well and the dishes with the Iberian ham and ibérico bacon were so tasty with the meaty flavors. The scallop dish wasn't one of my favorites since the seafood taste was way too strong for my liking, but if you like raw oysters I think you might like it! The servers were all so sweet and attentive, checking in on us every once in a while. I also really enjoyed the soft music that was played in the background, so it really pulled the place together.

Awesome spot! Came here with my parents while visiting for the holidays. We were seated outside which we were a little nervous about given the weather but it was fully enclosed and heated, so no issues at all. I was also happy to see that there were a number of mocktail options, since I'm currently pregnant and obviously not drinking. We ordered the papas bravas, brussel sprouts, empanadas, and ahi tacos as our tapas, an order of the pork belly paella for 2, and then the flan for dessert. Everything was excellent and it was the perfect amount of food. The desserts are on the smaller side so a little harder to share but we all only really wanted a bite so worked out well for us. I appreciated that the staff made clear that gratuity was already added to the bill. Food came out quickly and the staff was very attentive. I would definitely come back!

The restaurant is above a pizza restaurant and below the rooftop bar in downtown Walnut Creek. The service was amazing, ambiance on point. After dinner, recommend going to the bar above the restaurant for post dinner drinks!

My group of 5 sat in the patio on a rainy night. The patio was warm, covered, and enclosed. It felt no different from the inside of the restaurant. We were very happy it's our table. Our server was attentive and the staff always made sure our waters were topped off and our empty dishes were removed. On to the food: there wasn't one thing that I didn't like. But I have to say the octopus was my absolute favorite. It was crisp, airy, light, and so flavorful. Both paellas were delicious. I was so full but couldn't stop eating them. My least favorite dish however had to have been the steak. It was nothing special, however, the potatoes served either it- I could eat an entire tray of those. The sauces that came with the food were all so tasty but I think I consumed an entire dish of aioli to myself. Drinks were all beautifully presented and the flavor matched. The reason this review is a 4 and not a 5 star rating is the price tag for the portion. My group ordered lots of food so our bellies were full and satisfied but we averaged $110 pp. I think the restaurant is definitely worth a visit just be prepared, you'll need to order quite a few things so you don't leave hungry.

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a decent experience. Made a reservation for the outdoor patio and our table was ready at the specified time. Teleferic Barcelona is located on the 2nd floor and the patio is covered and blankets seem to be available for those that get cold. Staff wore uniforms and some even wore nitrile gloves. Started off with the Jamón Ibérico de Bellota and it was excellent and world class. The ham was very fragrant and flavorful and complemented this well wtih the Pan con Tomate. The Spanish Ensalada was a chopped up collection of items which was a touch odd. The Bruselas were flavorful and came out as a generous portion. The Paella Negra was mediocre. The paella itself was decent although the shrimp didn't taste super fresh... The La Porca may have been the weakest dish of the night being super dry...bummer. The Catalan Tomahawk 40 Oz was definitely the highlight with a super marbled bone-in tomahawk which was cooked to medium, as requested. The steak was very flavorful and tender and also came with a side of fried potatoes. The dipping sauces weren't really needed. Staff were courteous and helpful throughout the meal. ~$120/head after tax and 20% mandatory service charge.

So the food first off, was amazing! The Paella with meat was so flavorful and delicious. Some of the best that I had in quite some time. The seafood Paella was good, but the rice wasn't that good so it was a little underwhelming for me. The appetizers we had were delicious as well: empanadas, Spanish Meatballs, Artichoke Hearts, Taquitos de Tuna & Avocado. The service was top notch! Super efficient, great staff and they were very knowledgeable too! The environment is great, kinda crowded and small, loud, and unfortunately narrow walkways, making it not very ADA friendly, which was a disappointment for me because my wife is a wheelchair user. I'd love for this to change and to see this restaurant become more ADA friendly in the near future. Very pricey, so be ready to drop a few hundred dollars for dinner, depending on the size of your party. Overall great experience, just wanted to see it ADA friendly.

Great place for tapas with family or with a date :) their tapas menu feels a little small for lunch, but I know for dinner there's often a specials menu they hand out as well. Their paellas look delicious! And you can't go wrong with patatas bravas and some pulpo. Their cocktail menu is strong, but they're known for their sangria. Highly recommend trying a drink or two if you can!

Cute spot for an intimate date night! It was located on the 2nd floor, below the rooftop resturant and below a pizza spot. We were seated in the patio area, which turned out to be more enjoyable than the regular seating section. It was quieter, less crowded and we had a little view of the sunset during our dinner. Our server was polite and friendly. And the other staff was pleasant as well. The highlights were the tapas! Patatas Bravas: 5/5, small portion but very creamy with umami flavor! Southern kebab: 5/5, delicious beer skewers! Paella mixta: 3/5, it was definitely photo worthy because it was served in a gigantic pan! The rice was good at first but after a few bites the flavor tasted a bit too salty. There was also more rice than protein. My boyfriend also found a small piece of hard plastic in the dish. Our drinks dragon rose and virgin gothic mojito were enjoyable. A bit pricy for dinner and they charge an automatic gratuity of 20%. There was a small parking lot but there is also neighboring street parking.

My husband took me here for our 9 year anniversary and it was quite lovely. He knows that I love trying new places. Food - I ordered their special paella which came with noodles instead but it had shrimp, octopus, and clams. My husband ordered the wellington and we both shared the potato appetizers. The potato appetizers were to DIE for. They were so delicious. My dish was so satisfying and flavorful. I also ordered a sangria and it was made so beautiful and tasted refreshing. Service - We arrived as soon as they opened but they got busy quick during lunch hour. Our waitress was so kind and patient with us as she knew it was our first time here. She recommended the potato appetizers to us and we were impressed! She also gave us a small treat on the house as it was our anniversary. The one thing I found strange was that they included tip into our bill already - now in our instance, I didn't mind because our waitress was amazing. I just hope when I come back, my experience is just as great with whoever our next server will be! Ambiance - Super lovely! My husband and I chose outdoor seating because it was a beautiful day and it was just so peaceful. They had music playing and it was just a lovely lunch time. Would recommend outdoor seating! But maybe we'll try indoor too just to experience it. Overall - 10/10 great place with delicious and flavorful food and drinks with service that will make you feel welcomed and enjoy your time here.

This place was delicious! We were a group of 5 people and we got 8 orders of tapas and one paella to share and that was the perfect amount of food for us. Each tapas only has about 2-3 items so the portions are quite small. FOOD: 4/5 Southern Kebab - a little dry but the hummus was amazing! Crab Croquettes - DELICIOUS! Creamy and flavorful; this was my favorite! Tuna & Avocado Taquitos - super fresh fish and the sauces on there paired very well with it. Brussel sprouts - The sauce on this will make you LOVE brussel sprouts! Octopus - super tender and it paired well with the mashed squash. Steak and pork paella - This was their special for that day. It looks big but it's quite thin. The rice was super flavorful but the meat wasn't seasoned much. Highly recommend that everyone who goes here gets one of the paellas to share at the table! SERVICE: 5/5 Very attentive, great service! AMBIANCE: 5/5 I recommend you make a reservation so you can get seated faster! The bill came out to be about $40 per person (group of 5), which is pretty pricey, but the food was delicious so I would definitely come here again to try more of their dishes.

This Spanish eatery is located on the second floor of this building on the corner of Mt. Diablo Bvld and N. Main St. The design sensibilities is modern with warmer toned colors and big windows that allows the sunlight to splash in. The bar area is a nice marbled which allows for good amount of seating. Service from hostess, to wait staff and bartenders all spoke Spanish and very welcoming. The menu is typical of any good Spanish fare. Tapas, Main Plates, Greens & Paellas & Desserts I'm a big fan with Paellas especially with the socarrat on the bottom. You know that crispy carmalized rice. The paella dishes were good size for two people, but I also like variety so I went in the direction of the tapas. On this lunch occasion it was a hot day, so I started with a St. Jermaine Spritzer, very refreshing. From the list of tapas items, I love octopus so the Pulpo Telefèric Galician octopus served with truffle oil was a winner and would order it again. Second item was which I got two orders was the Southern Kebab Seasoned beef skewers pair tomato hummus & basil dressing & pimentón potato purée. Another top choice! Third, was the Gambas al Ajillo Gulf shrimp, lemon zest & crispy garlic. Really loved this tapas dish. If there was any drawback to this eatery was the prices were consistent to what you find in SF, but I guess you pay for what you get and what you get here is good atmosphere, good service and good food. Highly recommend Teleferic.

The food was great: gambas, croquetas, meatballs, arancino, oysters, salad, etc etc. The service and cocktails were also lovely. But the absolute standout of the experience tonight was the busser/runner--Rogelio. He was incredibly attentive, put in an additional order for us, professional, friendly, etc. 10/10 but 5+ because of our experience with R.

A mixed experience last night. The good: unique and delicious appetizers (tuna tacos, Brussels sprouts, crispy potatoes). Less good: skimpy seafood on paella negro plus rice was not crispy on bottom. For 2 people the paella had 4 large shrimp and just three (3!!!) clams plus a lot of tiny scallops. So it was mostly black (very tasty) rice. Also it took too long for our drinks to be served. Finally, dessert menu needs more items that are less rich and doughy.

*LOCATION* This popular restaurant is located on the second floor about 1-2 blocks away from the central downtown mall area. It's free parking for the first 3 hours in the parking garage structure at the mall. *WAIT TIME* We got lucky as there was no wait for our party of 2 on Saturday ~1:30pm. Although it was already past the regular noontime lunch rush, the inside still looked super packed. *FOOD* -Patatas brava: perfectly fried potato wedges, recommend requesting the sauces on the side for dipping (instead of on top) -Ham croquetas: nice and crispy outside with a smooth creamy inside, wished the Iberian ham piece on top was bigger! -Paella mixta: we ordered this socarrat style so there was lots of delicious crispy rice at the bottom, good distribution of various meats throughout the paella, large enough portion for 3-4 people! -Barceloneta sangria: sweet and refreshing, tastes just like juice :) *SERVICE* The waiters/waitresses were all super nice and came back several times to check on us and fill our waters. The tapas and sangria came out almost immediately but we had to wait for ~30 min for the paella (pretty much the exact amount of wait time that's estimated). *AMBIENCE* I've been to the Palo Alto location several times but this was my first time at the Walnut Creek location. I'm always very impressed with the interior design because it sets a whole vibe for the meal. It was very spacious inside and the big windows allowed lots of light to come in. I loved all of the green foliage against the wood accents. Great place! The only con/complaint is the 20% service charge that's automatically added to "increase employee wages and to cover other employee-related costs". This is stated at the bottom of the menu and also mentions that it's not expected/encouraged for tip to be additionally added on top of it. This might be unpopular opinion... but I feel like this is unfair to customers and shouldn't be allowed. It would make more sense to raise the prices of the menu items or have a reasonable flat fee rather than add on a PERCENTAGE-based amount to the bill.

Sooooooo funnnnn!!! We went on a double date, and everything from the service, to the food, to the drinks, to the pacing of the courses was awesome. Our server was attentive, and patient with our constantly ordering more. They even had a server walking around with this really cool non alcoholic drink to let us sample in a fun way! All the food was really good. The pulpo is a must, and the pork belly just makes your entire night amazing. Lol! Next time when we have more time we'd love to try the paella! (It takes around 35 minutes, be forewarned!) The ambience of the place was nice, upscale, and lively. Everyone seemed to be having so much fun!

Let me first say the paella is tasty but not paella, there was no socarrat or crispy bottom. Without it, it is basically risotto. The servers are super nice and the food is decent (side note don't order the tomato toast, too watery) . The paella has octopus in it, which I love, clams were nice and briny. Shrimp was a little overcooked and I could go with the massive amount of aioli spots. The Brussels needed more salt and the deep fried was a little too oily. Also I rather have shaved/grayed cheese vs a big drop of soft cheese. Would I come again, sure if I'm in the area. But note this place is popular and expensive.

Teleferic is quickly turning into my favorite restaurant in Walnut Creek. The ambiance is the #1 reason we come here, and it never disappoints! They also are open later than most other restaurants in the area and have great drinks (some of them pictured) and food (also some pictured). I don't have a drink recommendation, simply because everything we've had here has been great. Regarding food, I'd definitely recommend their Chicken Empanadas and their Taquitos de tuna & avocado. Their paellas take a while to prepare (~20 min or so), but they are good and fulfilling. I've had the vegan paella (pictured) and one other paella (I can't remember which one), both were good and more than enough for two people. Highly recommend!

I ordered DoorDash this evening and I'm very happy with it. I ordered the pork paella and it's wonderful. It came beautifully in the to go container with lemon and aioli on the side. I believe it's aioli. It has a very light flavor with a bit of heat at the end. The normal person probably won't even notice any heat in this but my mouth is very sensitive to spice so I taste the most mild heat. I hope you have the chance to eat food from this restaurant, I bet in person is even that much better as I've heard the atmosphere is amazing and some nights there is even music and flamenco dancers! I definitely would have preferred to eat at the restaurant for this reason but I'm eating alone tonight and how sad that would be to show up by myself. Anyways happy eating to you! Enjoy! Bon Appétit
