Such a fun experience! We got to witness a bit of the live entertainment such a ln awesome memorable vibe! Food options adequate my friend loved the pasta and the portion size. Cocktails and bartenders are notable. Definitely go and have the experience! *Make a Reservation!

Great place with even better cocktails. I found all the staff super friendly and our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive. We had various cocktails and mocktails and they were delicious and expertly crafted. The live music was nice too. The decor was very different than the Americano restaurant above. That said, I didn’t realize they had an extensive menu including items from the Americano. I will definitely be back!

Beautiful atmosphere, fantastic live band, and friendly, attentive bartenders. We went for a dinner date and ordered a dozen oysters, entrées, steak, 3 drinks each, and dessert. The food itself was excellent. But the steak was raw, when ordered medium, but this was corrected immediately and effortlessly by bartender without asking. Although we arrived on time for our reservation, we waited about 30 minutes to be seated despite there being a lot of open seating through out our stay. Our reservations were seated at the bar. They enforce a two-hour limit, which we understood; however, since we were seated 30 minutes late, we reasonably assumed we would still receive the full two hours. Our total bill for two people was $459 (pre-tip), which was not the issue. Food service was a bit slow, and exactly two hours from our reservation time—not from when we were seated—we were abruptly told to "get up" because they "needed our seats", even though our dessert had not yet arrived. We explained that we had only been seated for about 90 minutes, but the hostess was extremely rude, repeatedly telling us to “get up” "thats how it works" and would "allow" us to eat our dessert standing in a corner. Thankfully, the bartender took action and got approval for us to complete the 2 hour time plus 15 extra mins. Shortly after, four guests—who appeared to be friends of an employee or manager(?) in a white jacket from Americano, who stayed and chatted with them for a bit. They occupied 4 of the 8 open bar stools, after the employee left, they complained briefly for not wanting to sit at the bar, and then left. While we were ultimately allowed additional time to finish our meal and drinks at the bar, the way the hostess treated us was disappointing and disrespectful. We were credited $88 for the steak that was raw when ordered medium, we did not ask for it but it was appreciated after being treated so poorly. As paying customers generating over $500 in revenue and tip in 1.5 hours, suggesting we eat standing in a corner was outrageous and mind blowing. I will "Tell My Friends" indeed.

Visited for a holiday date night and was very impressed by the cocktails, service, and glam vibe. The decor was on point - this isn’t one of those places where it only looks good on social media. Our server was very attentive and gave us some good recommendations. Live music a little loud, but added atmospheric cheer. Only complaint was that we had to wait 15 min or so despite having made our reservation. Worth a visit!

We hosted our SIIA cocktail event at Tell Your Friends and could not have asked for a better experience. Brittney and her entire team were absolutely exceptional — from planning to execution, everything was flawless. The space is gorgeous, the vibe is effortless, and the food was next-level (our guests are still talking about the Wagyu sliders and charcuterie boards!). The staff went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt welcomed and taken care of — it truly felt like they were part of our team. If you’re planning a corporate or private event in Scottsdale, this is the spot. Thank you Brittney & crew for making our WriteWise event such a success — we can’t wait to come back next year! 🥂✨

Google
I really wanted to love TYF, but it disappointed. I got a reservation for two for my sister and me on a Friday evening. When we arrived (on time) we were informed that despite having a reservation, we'd need to wait and apparently our reservation for two was for a single bar stool. When we were taken to our seat 20 mins after our reservation time, we were shown to a single barstool crammed in the middle of the bar. It was so tight, we couldn't even pull out the barstool (one of us would have had to sit fully facing the bar while the other awkwardly stood directly behind, unable to face or speak to each other) so we decided to both stand behind the barstool. We were clearly encroaching on the people on either side of us, which we felt terrible about but could do nothing. I give 3 stars because at least the bartender was attentive and the drinks were good. But there's no way I would come back or recommend others come here. The larger groups with reservations waiting for actual tables were stuck waiting for 30+ minutes so I guess at least we were able to get drinks? The space is beautiful and it's cool they have a band, although it made it too loud to talk.

Great atmosphere, great live performance, great drinks and great service! I was excited to check out Tell Your Friends and it was a good addition to my Scottsdale night out. The vibe was perfect for the speak easy atmosphere and the service was good. Drinks were pricey but no more than expected. I’m looking forward to going back!

Yelp
You know this must be the place to go when a bartender at another speakeasy recommends this place. And the recommendation is echoed by a musician at a restaurant. Given that all speak highly of this speakeasy, I had to try it out for myself! The first challenge is finding the entrance! The kind staff at the Americano must of been asked this question a zillion times as they knew what I was asking before I even asked. As we found the mystery door we were greeted by some steps to go downstairs where the hostesses greeted us and ask for our reservation. As I checked if reservations were available on my way there, and saw that a credit card was needed for a reservation, I decided to wing it and not make a reservation. As it was 9pm on Wednesday, and I saw some open reservations, I was able to snag a seating for two. There was actually spots at little lounge tables and at the bar. We love sitting at the bar so we can watch drinks being made. We received the best seat at the bar in the end. The speakeasy also has booths/tables along the wall and in the middle with lounge seating. On the weekends make sure you make reservations in advance as there is live music. The speakeasy is small so does not hold many guest. So be prepared. Like any good speakeasy the vibe is dark. Furniture is lined with velvet. The ceiling is lined with light bulbs. It's a great Gatsby vibe! The drinks are funky! Check out my menu picture to get a vibe of the cocktails. There is even a drink in a safe! The menu has limited food too. Most cocktails are around twenty dollars. If you fancy champagne there is a bottle that is over 1,000 dollars. This is a perfect place to come with a group, with a reservation or as a couple! Cheers!

Yelp
Went here with some girlfriends after seeing Instagram ads for their Dirty Hour special. The place was a little tricky to find, but once we did, we were so impressed. Vibes: 10/10. It smelled amazing inside and the ambiance was perfect. We had reservations at 5:30, arrived around 5:20, and were sat right away. We all ordered the Dirty Hour (burger, fries, and martini) and also kept a happy hour menu so we could grab another drink before happy hour ended at 6. We even mentioned this to our server. Here's where it got strange: when the bill came, we were charged $81 for three martinis we thought would be $17 each since happy hour was still going on at the time we ordered. When we asked, we were told that because we ordered the Dirty Hour, we couldn't also order additional happy hour drinks. Honestly, that felt odd and pretty disappointing, why wouldn't that be explained when ordering the second round? And since when are you ever limited to just one happy hour item? The food was decent, the drinks were good, and the vibes were amazing. But unfortunately, the weird handling of happy hour left a bad taste in our mouths. Not sure I'd come back because of that, which is too bad given how great everything else was. Don't think I'll tell my friends about this place after all.

Yelp
Can't speak on the food as I was only there for drinks and live music, but the experience was fantastic. The musician absolutely killed it -- a one-man show smashing the piano keys and singing his heart out. The underground speakeasy vibe beneath The Americano is so cool -- incredible interior design that's both classy and memorable. Both bartenders were great, especially the tall male bartender on Sunday night. He was attentive, quick, and genuinely made me feel like a priority, not just another guest. Between the live music, atmosphere, and service, it's a spot I'll definitely be coming back to. 4 stars just because i havent tried their food yet. Will be coming back soon! Highly recommend for a great date night spot Also, i think he was the floor manager, dressed in a suit and tie, he was very attentive and made for an enjoyable experience. Little things he executed and it all added up. Somehow as soon as I needed more water or anything, he was right there to help out and ensure my experience was as good as it could be. Thank you all so much!

Yelp
What a fun place to go on date night or with friends! It's located in the Americano and you would have no idea it was underground! They have a small menu when it comes to food and a full service bar! My reservation was at 9:15pm but I got there a little early and they were still able to seat me which was nice! There is live music and the entire ambience is great. The only thing I didn't like was when you make a reservation you were required to put your credit card in and if you did not show up to the reservation with the same amount of people you could get charged.

Yelp
This is a nice location. I went on a Saturday. Reservation only. We were able to get a last minute walk in, after having a drink at the restaurant bar. The drinks were good, we ordered off the signature list. lThere was live entertainment that evening. Biggest disappointed was the charge for the entertainment per person, this was not disclosed prior to heading to the bar. Overall I do think this is a nice lounge and worth going. Expect to spend here

Yelp
Very cool ambiance. Happy hour is an hour and decent. $25 for a martini and double burger. The burger had some rib meat or something delicious in it. Martins must be a dirty martini or one other. No specialty. They have a band a few days a week- but charge a cover to get in for that.

Yelp
Incredible drinks, service, and atmosphere. The live music was great but very loud so it made it challenging to have a conversation. They also have a vegan friendly item on the food menu! Will be back!

Yelp
My night at Tell Your Friends was easily one of the best nights out I've had in ages, especially as a mom of young kids who can't get out much! This speakeasy truly lives up to the name--the vibe is absolutely amazing from the moment you step inside. It has that perfect, cozy-but-electric energy that makes you feel like you've stumbled upon a really great secret. The cocktails are next-level incredible, clearly crafted by people who know their stuff. But what really sets this place apart is the live music. It was the perfect volume and style, elevating the entire atmosphere without drowning out conversation. We ordered the steak and broccolini and both were delicious, although we wished there was some extra sauce with the steak. I have to also call out the service, we went without a reservation but we're seated at a bar and when a table opened up the host was nice enough to allow us to grab that table. The bartenders were also so amazing and great at making their drinks. If you're looking for fantastic drinks, smooth tunes, and killer ambiance, with good food options look no further. Highly, highly recommend

Yelp
If price were no object, I'd be at Tell Your Friends all time. As it is, any visit to the Scottsdale speakeasy is truly a special occasion. You might get lucky with a walk-in, but you should probably just go ahead and make a reservation for a two-hour stay. Show up early, and you can take advantage of TYF's new happy hour, which knocks their $20-$23 signature cocktails down to $15. My favorites are the light and fruity Flapper Fizz and the Call the Paparazzi (an espresso martini). The food selections are simple and tasty. The meat and cheese board has a great selection of bites. The fried chicken tenders are good, not great, and they're cheaper during happy hour. The meatballs on the happy hour menu are very good. Also, as TYF is located inside The Americano, a decent portion its menu can be ordered as well. The decor is intimate and luxurious and has some of the best vibes in town, and service is excellent. Tell Your Friends is one of the top bars in metro Phoenix.

Yelp
This is one of those experiences that I really wish was a four or five star experience that fell short. I stopped by for drinks on a Saturday evening after having dinner in the area. Tell You Friends is located in a shopping center close to several other businesses including Lou Malnati's. Parking shouldn't be an option. I will say that I'm a speakeasy super fan and I've been to many of these watering holes across the world. So my expectations are high. Especially when it comes to staying true to the historical roots of speakeasies. Ambiance (4/5): This is one of the areas where Tell Your Friends (TYR) shines. First off, great name for a bar. Located in the basement of Americano (hint, hint), you get there by checking in with the hostess of Americano. There is a side door that is locked that does indicate that this is where TYR is located. That takes away some of the fun. Speakeasies shouldn't have signage because this is, after all, part of the core of what a speakeasy is. Once you check in with the hostess, she will take you through some doors and a stairwell to get to the speakeasy. Once you enter, you will be impressed with the ambiance and decor. It's elegant. I'd compare it to a Great Gatsby look. There's some comfortable couches and booths. As well as seating at the bar. One of the only downsides? The A/C wasn't blasting much while I was there so it was a little stuffy. Service (2/5): This is where a lot of the missteps were. The bartenders and waiters/waitresses are friendly and efficient. The problem? They bamboozle you a bit. Almost every day of the week they are open, they have live music. I didn't have a reservation, I walked in. Upon receiving my bill, I saw that there was a $10 charge for the live music. The hostess did not inform me of this before taking me down to the speakeasy. She didn't ask for it at the door as is standard for a cover. At the very least, you have to disclose that at the start to make sure your customers are okay with it. Sketch. There was also a bit of a mix-up as they told us that our seats were mistakenly given to someone else. A bit bizarre. Food (N/A): They do have a nice menu of appetizers and entrees but I had dinner prior so I can't comment on the food. I will say that there were some good options and the prices I saw on the menu were better than I expected. Drinks (4/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I expect creative craft cocktails. To the point where there are so many good options that I have trouble deciding what to go with. And I feel like I have to at least try out two to three cocktails while I'm there. This is definitely the case as TYR. I had both a mezcal cocktail which was somewhat similar to an Old Fashioned and a gin-based cocktail with cucumber and aloe that was refreshing. Well done all-around. Just a bit pricey as most cocktails are going to cost you $20 or $21 a pop. TYR is by no means a bad experience. But I'm a man of principle. Deceiving customers to make some money is not something I can get behind. And while I enjoyed the live music, speakeasies are typically more intimate/quiet affairs. Here, you'll have to speak quite loudly to hear each other when the live music is happening. Just a little different than what a true speakeasy experience typically offers.

Yelp
What a treat! This well-hidden speakeasy made a hugely positive impression on me this past Sunday. My date and I arrived just as they opened at 5 pm (we had dinner reservations at the Americano at 6 pm). From the moment we entered we were wowed by the atmosphere and the prompt and attentive service. My "Flapper" was absolutely perfect and the presentation spot on. On a side note I am not a fan of Tito's vodka (but that's another essay). My date's Rose was elegantly served and tasted great. Our Chips & Dip was superb, though it did kind of dim my appetite for the dinner that followed at the Americano. Overall an amazing experience which I highly recommed, truly a delight.

Yelp
I visited this place for happy hour and to celebrate a friend's birthday. They have an impressive selection of cocktails, but I highly recommend going during happy hour because the prices are incredibly more reasonable (especially the Jazz Age Smolder). You can also order food from the restaurant upstairs, but I opted for the happy hour bits. I got the wedge salad and it was good, but the cocktails are the highlight. The service was also great but definitely make a reservation! The elegant ambiance, with live music playing, creates a sophisticated atmosphere and I can't wait to return.

Yelp
tucked below the Americano, this speakeasy is pure magic from the moment you step inside. The vibe hits you instantly - like you've been transported to a swanky big city lounge where Gatsby might raise a glass across the room. while Donna Summer plays softly in the background. The interior is a flawless blend of 1920s elegance and retro glam: velvet banquets, glimmering chandeliers, gold accents, and a disco ball that cast dancing lights across the bar. It's sophisticated without taking itself too seriously - equal parts charm and attitude. The cocktail program is next level, offering vintage classics with a bold modern twist. And the menu? Surprisingly strong for a speakeasy. Small plates that punch above their weight.

Yelp
Service was great. Our server was delightful. The ambience is fabulous. Such a cool place. Great cocktails and an extra groovy vibe.

Yelp
Walking into Tell Your Friends at 7:30 pm is like stepping straight into a dream you don't want to wake up from. The decor is impossibly gorgeous--moody, seductive, and just unhinged enough to make you feel like something unforgettable is about to happen. Spoiler: it does. We came for girls' night out, but the bar brawl bartending event turned it into a full-blown spectacle. Cocktails flew, laughter got loud, and the kind of energy you can't bottle buzzed through the room. This isn't just nightlife; it's theater served with a perfectly balanced drink in hand. If you're looking for a quiet night, stay home. But if you want beauty, chaos, and cocktails you'll be dreaming about tomorrow, Tell Your Friends delivers.

Yelp
This underground bar is beautiful! We took some friends here the Saturday before Thanksgiving and had a great time. We sat in the booth on the right side of the band so although we did not have a clear view of them, we did have a good view of the bar and the band sounded great. The singer is very talented and they covered old classic songs from past eras as well as current hits. The drinks were very good. My bourbon cocktail had a cool ice cube imprinted with the TYF logo on it. They change their menu often while keeping the favs and now have some holiday inspired drinks. We ordered food. We had burgers, shared a charcuterie board and a shrimp cocktail. Our waitress was so nice and she came to our table enough. I've read previous reviews where consumers felt ignored, but we did not feel this at all. I'm guessing because it was a Saturday though so the bar was prepped to be busier than weekdays. There were times when she was a little behind but someone else was always there to check on us. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would come back again for sure!

Yelp
Beautiful inside though the wall coverings and tile choice seemed a bit dated. Got busy as soon as it opened at 5. I got lucky to walk in for a seat at the bar. Someone mentioned it's pricey and that it is. I was impressed with their menu options which include bone marrow. I was choosing tonight between the endive salad and Korean fried chicken. I went with the chicken and it did not disappoint! Presentation was a as but underwhelming...looks like chicken tenders BUT very tender. I preferred the ranch sauce to the sweet honey-like sauce. I didn't taste anything kimchee -like so a bit confused by the menu description. Nothing tasted of Asian flavors which I would have enjoyed. Would love for a soy-based sauce as well but still enjoyed the dish. Beware they sometimes charge a cover which gets added to your check. It's listed on their website but i wasn't informed of this as a walk in. Bartenders and service staff were lovely, very attentive, friendly and available.

Yelp
Swanky speakeasy/cocktail bar tucked downstairs at the Americano. Tasty cocktails with live music, and a speakeasy vibe with classy, vintage decor. Drinks can be pricey but extensive list of wines, liquors to choose from. Service was good but expect a wait for drinks and food. Definitely just have a few drinks here and grab food somewhere else.

Yelp
Tell Your Friends is a really fun speakeasy that wants everyone to know about it! I will be telling all of your friends, my friends and anyone who will listen! The band was so good! We were singing and dancing the entire time! A much needed place in North Scottsdale! The bar is gorgeous! Service was great! We didn't eat there because we had dinner before we arrived! We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I loveddddd this place. I have been dying to try it and finally made a reservation for a Saturday night at 11 pm. They play live music until 10 pm and the DJ starts at 11. They were playing very good Music all night and mixed it up for everyone to enjoy. We sat at the bar, the bartenders were great. I got an espresso martini and it was strongggg but good. Then I got the tequila based drink on the menu, without Serrano which was also tasty! I will be back! The ambience and aesthetic are everything.

Yelp
This ambiance was beautiful. The whole place felt like it was wrapped in warm glow and good energy. It gave NY vibes. The drinks were delicious. The only things that dimmed the experience was the service. The staff didn't feel as welcoming as they could be. Overall great spot with so much potential but the hospitality could definitely rise to match the rest of the vibe.

Yelp
I'll run through pros and cons. Our experience was 3.5 stars. First I booked ahead and their staff called to let me know they had booked a private party and needed to reschedule us. No problem, we were rescheduled. I was asked to confirm our reservation THREE separate times prior to the night of -- a bit irritating. We show up for our reservation ten minutes early on a Friday night and were escorted to the speakeasy promptly. We were also seated promptly. We asked if we could sit at the table next to where we were sat (a corner) and were told it was reserved for a party of four. Yet halfway through our drinks, a party of two was sat there. Our server greeted us each with a half glass of champagne as an apology for our being rescheduled. I appreciated the attention to detail. We order two cocktails, I ask if I can have one of their cocktails but with tequila instead of gin. The server says that the bartenders get weird about changing the drinks -- well at $22+/cocktail I want it made how I want it made, not how your bartender wants to make it. I say OK and order a classic cocktail (even though I did not go through all this trouble making reservations at a place that booked out for a month to not enjoy one of their craft cocktails). Be warned if you have a reservation after 7 on the weekends (unsure about weeknights) there is live music and it's LOUD. About 15 min after we sat the music started. My boyfriend looked at me and said "it's way too loud, let's just have one drink and go." As we are drinking our one drink each, the table next to us has some sort of a commotion. Turns out there's a cockroach under our table. All three tables in a row are backed away from their tables and waiting to see where it is. Eventually it's gone. We ask for the check and are told our drinks were comped as a result of the experience. Appreciated, but also warranted. In total we checked in at 650p and were out the door at 730pm. The decor is gorgeous, but they need help with their vibe/ambiance. It's doesn't feel seamless (I worked at a five diamond hospitality property for eight years and worked in nightlife for over a decade, so I genuinely understand how operations like this run). Would I go again? Possibly if there was no music and I can order a $22+ cocktail to my liking. It's definitely a beautiful venue, but it seems like they're still working out the kinks. Unfortunately, due to the month wait and less than stellar experience, I don't think I'd go through the trouble of coming back.

Yelp
The host staff was incredibly accommodating, squeezing us in last-minute the day before, huge props for making it happen. The atmosphere, food, and drinks were all spot-on; I genuinely loved the vibe. That said, the service was painfully slow from the jump, and every single thing we ordered food-wise took forever to arrive. They gave us a 2-hour table limit, fair enough, and plenty for a great meal but the pacing killed it. They warned us 30 minutes out, which was fine; we were ready for dessert and a movie anyway. Here's where it fell apart: I ordered the tableside tiramisu right after the warning, giving them 30 minutes to deliver. 15 minutes later, the server returned asking what we'd ordered. I get it, mistakes happen (I waited tables for years) but the fix should've been simple: own it, comp it, rush it out. (Never offered) Instead, we waited another 20-25 minutes only to be told no dessert was coming and our time was up. I asked for it to-go. It finally arrived after nearly 45 minutes in a box, without utensils. Had to flag someone down for plastic silverware. For a $20+ "tableside" dessert that never appeared tableside, this was a letdown. Great spot, but the service needs to match the quality of everything else

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal experience! We came for Valentine's Day dinner and drinks, and I was blown away by how special they made the evening. They greeted us with bruschetta and two cocktails on the house, and walked us through the menu with their specials. The service was quick and professional, and the environment was immaculate. It truly felt like we had walked into a Gatsby movie! If you're looking for a couple cocktails and a fun atmosphere, this is the only spot you need to visit. Their food menu is small but everything on it is more than worth your time and money. If you want an amazing night out and some memories that will last, and some incredible craft cocktails, tell your friends you know a spot!

Yelp
Ultra sexy speakeasy. They had a jazz band, lovely drinks, and food. Loved the Flapper Fizz (vodka, apple, vanilla, and champagne) and Chips & Dips (trio: pimento cheese, smoked fish, french onion). Packed, so make a reservation online, I was glad I did. They are for 90 minutes. It is the Americano's speakeasy. Exterior entrance on the North side of the Americano, or enter through the Americano inside through a discreet door. Hayley our server was very warm and friendly. Really stunning place, attention to detail, and glamorous. FYI you will be paying N. Scottsdale prices.

Yelp
I will leave a 5 star review so as to not hurt a small business. My only hope is that a manager or owner reads this and takes my feedback to heart. This is a 5 star space. And the service is 4-5 star. And the food is pretty damn good. But what is TYF? It's a cocktail bar. And how are the cocktails? Well, it depends. The ones that they shake or stir are pretty freaking good. But the batched ones? Not so great. I will say that I can create an espresso martini 10x better at my house with minimal effort. The batched one I was served (vodka based) was unbalanced and really subpar. For this area of Scottsdale and the price this cocktail should be worlds better. And the old fashioned riff that's batched...is it bad? No. Is it great? Hell no. I know there's a new beverage director. I've had a lot of cocktails at her previous place of employment. Hopefully she's able to bring TYF to that level. As of tonight, there's work to be done. I appreciated the service. The food and service were enjoyable. It's time the cocktails matched the atmosphere and the price tag.

Yelp
Everything about this bar feels special--the design, the cocktails, the food, and the music. My dirty martini was perfect, and the chicken fingers were great to share. I'll be back!

Yelp
I attended my first speakeasy in Austin and got hooked. My husband and I now plan our trip to include one everywhere we travel. The Ambiance was awesome, band was spot on. My husband is a quiet guy, but the singer had him yelling out requests! Good fun! Tell your friends!

Yelp
I have been eyeing Tell Your Friends since opening this spring and was really excited to finally visit last week. Unfortunately the service, food quality and price point just did not meet my expectations. We were greeted quickly with water then waited and waited to have our drink order taken, then waited and waited to be served. Our server seemed like we were inconveniencing her by being in the establishment. It was not very busy and there was no "live jazz" but a DJ instead. The food was very disappointing. We ordered the grilled oysters which per the menu read to be served with sesame, ginger, & Chinese sausage. Instead we were served oysters covered in melted cheese - think Rockefeller but minus the breadcrumbs or spinach. It wasn't BAD per se but not at all what the menu described. When I brought it up to the server she could clearly not care less. We moved on to the shrimp cocktail and bone marrow - the latter being the only enjoyable dish - the shrimp were served with the poop vein not fully removed (see photos). I'm sorry but for $36 shrimp cocktail it is absolutely inexcusable to not clean them correctly. It also took a long time to request the bill and settle up. We spent over $200 and did not leave full or happy.

Yelp
Gorgeous atmosphere and swanky, upscale ambiance. Live music is fantastic! Food is delicious. Drinks are pretty and also tasty. Service is a bit slow but the servers are friendly and accommodating. Great venue for a romantic date or a fun group party. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
TLDR: come for the drinks and music, go elsewhere for food. The positives: the atmosphere, great drinks and awesome music. The tables are cozy and it has a cool speakeasy vibe. The negatives: service is ok, but not what I'd expect for the price and limited number of tables. We (me and hubby) were sat promptly at 7:15 but then waited 15 mins for anyone to take a drink order. The food was good, but over priced for what you get. $95 for 5 crab legs only (I should have taken a pic, it was more of an appetizer) They were good, but not special. Steak was good, shrimp cocktail was good, salads were good, but none of these were over the top. $600 bill for the ambiance I suppose.

Yelp
What an amazing place!! We drove around the Americano several times, looking for the door to Tell Your Friends. We finally decided to go in the Americano and ask. They opened a "secret" door and led us down a dark stairway. We were rewarded with a surprisingly beautiful restaurant down the stairs!! The furnishings were very pretty and so luxurious!! The lighting was spectacular! The drinks were delicious! Then we ordered a scrumptious dinner! We had the cesear salad first. Then I had the Bolognese pasta and my husband had the veal Parmesan. Both dishes were delicious!! We will go back on a night they have live music. I can't wait to go again! Even the bathroom was beautiful!

Yelp
Came here for my bday celebration on a Wednesday. Personally I love the ambiance, look, music, service and the drinks are awesome. Cocktails roughly in the 21-25 dollar range but worth a shot. Nice and air conditioned especially in the summer makes it a chill place to hang out in a date or with friends. Not sure why this place has lower reviews but I will definitely return back. Shout out to Hayley for her wonderful service!

Yelp
Went on a Saturday night for a few drinks and the live music. Don't be dissuaded by the steam room that is the stairway down to the speakeasy. The actual bar is nice and cool. It's a small/intimate place, highly recommend getting a reservation ahead of time or else it can be tough to get a spot. The live music was fantastic and our service was great. There were 2 bartenders working who were both on top of it, helpful, and clearly knew what they were doing. The drinks were amazing, we tried 4 different signature cocktails and loved them all. They are a bit pricy, around $20 each, but for the experience it was well worth it to us. The other staff was very nice as well. And to top it all off there was some 10/10 people watching. We did not try any food but we will definitely be back and I would recommend this place to anyone (that I like).

Yelp
Great place to stop by and have a quality drink or two with a date. Downstairs in the Americano, their hostess helped us find it. The decor is perfect. Super swanky and classy. They had a live Jazz singer and piano player that added to the ambiance. The bartenders Chris and Ashley were very friendly and made sure the drinks were perfect. Thank you.

Yelp
Anniversary dinner and drinks. Excellent service from Ashley and Chris - cocktails and food are just what the doctor ordered for our celebration. Looking forward to our next night out here.

Yelp
I was so excited to try this new speakeasy in Scottsdale. Tell Your Friends wasn't too difficult to find thankfully, just through the Americano and down some dark stairs. The decor really transports you to a F. Scott Fitzgerald novel from the seating to the large beautiful bar that takes up one wall. I got the Flapper Fizz which had vodka, apple, vanilla, amaro, lemon, champagne in it. It was absolutely delicious and I was tempted to get another, if not for the steep price. I also tried the Korean Fried chicken which came with three strips and some ranch. While it was very tasty, I do think it would have tasted even better with hot honey offered as a side. I do wish there were more dairy-free options (however this did not affect the scoring), and hope as the business gets more established they will expand their menu. They have a vegan popcorn option but as someone who needs protein, I can't live just off that. I also think they should always be playing jazz, Frank Sinatra, etc. While we were there, they were playing something akin to prom music that did throw off the ambiance. We left before a band started, so perhaps they were there to play music that fit the vibe better. Overall, I loved going for the vibe and the drinks. It is a fun, new place that is great to go with friends for a unique experience. I think the price could be a big deterrent for many, however, and it seems like just a place to go once to see what it is like.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday night for after dinner drinks. Absolutely stunning decor! It's inside of the Americano. Super cool they just push a wall and you go down stairs. There was a live band and the music was really good. It's definitely a whole vibe. Make sure to book reservations far in advance. The drinks were amazing and STRONG lol. I had their version of an old fashioned. It was delicious. Perfect for sipping. Service was also great. Our waitress was kind and checked on us frequently.

Yelp
Tell Your Friends: Scottsdale's Swanky New Underground Lounge Tell Your Friends, the latest brainchild of the Clive Collective, officially opens today, May 23. Add this to your must-visit spots in Scottsdale. Hidden beneath The Americano restaurant, this subterranean art deco lounge offers an opulent expedition into cocktails and culinary, inspired by the lavish jazz clubs and speakesies of the 20s and 30s. In turn, nightly live blues and jazz will set the tone. A Feast for the Senses The interior design, created by SD- based Basile Studios (Raised by Wolves, Born and Raised) takes inspiration from the art deco period (Gatsby) with plush maroon velvet drapes, mirrored walls and ceilings, dramatic floral arrangements, copper -toned disco balls, and a striking center bar whose accent lighting and lines stretch across the ceiling. Chef Beau MacMillan (Cala and Food Network), has curated a menu of small bites that stretch from innovative bar snacks such as vodka cured salmon 'pizza' to Steak "foie" Poivre for two. Local award winning beverage consultant and mixologist, Keifer Gilbert, crafted the cocktail menu. In true prohibition era style, there will be a dozen classics such as the Sazerac and Negroni, and the signatures draw inspiration from these; "Friends with Benefits," a beeswax cured old fashioned or the "Hops to the Beat", a tequila-based drink that incorporates citra hops along with serrano peppers and pineapple. A Night to Remember Tell Your Friends delivers on its promise. It's a place where you can enjoy luxurious food, expertly crafted cocktails and classy live entertainment, all in a stylish and opulent setting. Some things to keep in mind: Reservations are strongly recommended. dress code: classy and stylish Cocktails range from $20-$25, Food range is $7 for harissa popcorn to $220 CAVIAR D'AQUITAINE OSSETRA, served with chilled vodka

Yelp
Definitely a beautiful space, with cool neons and great vibes. The live music is a really nice touch, and the bar is absolutely gorgeous. Even the bathrooms are beautiful! Attire is business casual. Everyone was definitely pretty dressed up on opening night, something to keep in mind. Plenty of parking spaces outside, which is always a plus. At max capacity on opening night, as would be expected, but definitely make a reservation in the near future anyway. This is not a huge place, and it will fill up quickly. The menu has a lot to offer. The kitchen was closed when we went, but drinks-wise, I highly recommend the I'm in the Mood for Love, which has gin, red bell pepper, raspberry and lemon juice - absolutely delicious. Those prices are steep, though - $20+ per drink and a $5 cover charge per person. It's really too bad, because it is a neat place, but the prices will deter me from being a frequent customer for sure.

Yelp
My wife and I went here on a Thursday evening and had a great time. We had a reservation and sat at the bar. Both bartenders were friendly and provided good service. We didn't notice any sewer smell as others mention in previous reviews. THough there was some incense/deodorizer smell similar to most upscale hotel lobbies. It was pleasant, and if they're trying to cover up other smells, we couldn't tell. It was the first night of their "new" food menu that's trying to differentiate between the standard Americano menu. We had the burrata, oysters, and chips/dip. All were good, but the buratta was our favorite. The cherry mustarda topping on it was delicious! For dessert we had the passionfruit parfait. It was light, refreshing and reminded us of a dessert we would order in Hawaii. The drink menu has a variety of signature creative drinks, standard traditional drinks, and a selection of beer and wine. Our signature drinks were unique, looked, and tasted great! The band came out around 8pm and covered several modern pop songs with a jazz twist. They take requests, had good energy, and are enjoyable to watch or listen to in the background. Tell Your Friends has a really cool atmosphere, with great food and drink options. We'll definitely be back again soon!

Yelp
I wasn't sure how it would go here given the mixed reviews, but it was a great experience. There were 4 in our party and we had a 6:00 reservation on a Saturday. We were sat as soon as we arrived and then we were greeted by our server right away. Kelsey took great care of us. She promptly took our drink order, brought them out quickly, and checked on us often. We did not order food since we had an 8:00 dinner reservation somewhere else. There was live music that started at 7:00. Either they have worked out the kinks or the bad reviews are just hard to please people.

Yelp

Yelp
Yeah, I'm "Telling my Friends" not to go here! What a complete joke of incompetence from the food, service, to the lack of any care from this establishment. It's a place where they think "you're lucky to be there" rather than providing quality especially at ridiculous prices for Applebees standards.
