This cafe has a nice, calming atmosphere with a really cool plant wall. I liked the plants and black, white, industrial meets greenhouse look. I enjoyed my flat white in a comfy velvet chair that allowed me to people watch and rest my feet. Nice! Cons: crayons and crumbs leftover on the seats and tables. Needs more attention to cleanliness.

Super cute coffee shop. Stopped by for a break during my long walk and ordered the Athena juice drink. The space is cozy and inviting, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive. I had a quick chat with the manager about a small restroom issue I noticed, and she was so sweet about it! It’s rare to experience that level of hospitality. Looking forward to coming back soon. ❤️

I came to this café with my daughter, hoping to enjoy some quality time and a good meal for here. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. I specifically asked for my cortado in a for-here cup (cortado is not a drink you can enjoy in a paper cup, and I clearly explained it placing my order) Still, after waiting 20 minutes, it was served in a paper cup. When I reminded them they said: oh yes, I did it by mistake but if you want me to make it again you’d have to wait until all other costumers are served. No apologies, very dismissive and disrespectful. I also ordered my food to dine in, but it was served in a to-go container. When I brought it up, the staff responded they were out of plates, however the next person received their order in plates. I understand mistakes happen, but when a customer brings it up, I expect a more considerate response. The food itself was acceptable, but the service made the visit feel less welcoming than I had hoped.

Tellus seemed like a promising coffee shop in the downtown Walnut Creek area but I wasn’t too impressed and thought it was just average. The service inside was kind of slow and a little messy behind the counter. Likewise the cappuccino I ordered was ok but nothing too amazing compared to some other brews I tried around. The inside had lots of working space and even a lounge in the back though it smelled like someone was smoking back there when I visited. I would pass on this spot next time.

Tellus Coffee in Walnut Creek is a great spot for a quick bite and a caffeinated (or non-caffeinated) drink. We went on a Saturday morning, and it was bustling! The place has a welcoming vibe with a ton of natural light and a cool wall featuring real plants. Service was speedy, which is a big plus on a busy weekend. They offer a wide variety of options beyond just coffee, including smoothies, juices, pastries, light lunch options, and, of course, coffee and tea drinks. I tried their iced chai, but unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. It tasted quite watered down, and the spices were overpowering. It just wasn't very balanced. However, the chicken empanada was a total win! The crust was perfectly crispy and light, and the filling was delicious and flavorful. The chimichurri sauce on the side added a nice touch. It's definitely a bit pricy for a cafe, and the drinks and food can be hit-or-miss. My friend loved her bacon onion pretzel croissant but wasn't a fan of the iced tea. One thing to keep in mind is the seating layout. There are two main sections, but there's a smaller one that's kind of tucked away near the restrooms. You might miss it entirely if you're not heading in that direction. Overall, Tellus Coffee gets 3.5 stars from me. The food is tasty, the service is fast, and the atmosphere is inviting. However, the drink selection could be a bit more consistent. I'd definitely go back for another empanada.

Google
Wow 10 out of 10. Tried it for the first time and I’m so impressed by how good their food was. I had a chicken empanada and a coconut chia seed pudding. Sometimes I’m running late and need a quick bite and this place is perfect and so versatile. They don’t only sell coffee they have such great healthy choices for brunch, and breakfast which is amazing for me considering I have a very sensitive stomach. Their drinks and food are very high quality.

The vibes are the highlight, the drinks were good, nothing special for the price. Service was quick and the Baristas were super friendly! Great place to study or grab a quick bite, but wouldn't necessarily recommend it as an option for larger parties.

Updated review on 3/3/2024 - adding new pix. Flavors lean towards Italian style of espresso with deep, toasted arabica notes. Since my prior review I have visited a few times and the quality while good has not been consistent. I hope the very kind owner who I met on a prior visit is there next time. Pro tip: buy an extra cortado and pour over vanilla ice cream when you get home. Original review of 7/29/2023 below: Delightful establishment for enjoying quality coffee drinks and light food in clean upscale setting. Not sure what took me so long to visit Tellus and glad my wife drove us there. The interior is clean, nicely decorated and above all welcoming. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast light plates are tasty, healthy and quickly served. Many tables available in the main space with views inside and to the street. There is a quiet back room with soft lighting for more intimate conversation, which made our experience feel like a date. The room can also provide a nice break from busy day shopping, especially if hot. The lattes and cappuccino exhibited strong coffee notes with good crema. I have visited several times and the quality is good. Street parking is a challenge on most days. Do not let that discourage you from visiting - just plan to spend extra time enjoying the special atmosphere which warrants a 5 star rating.

Yelp
great ambiance, beautiful interior and the juices are so fresh and delicious! coffee is also good and the empanadas are a must try! love going to tellus for a coffee date or just to work on a laptop

Yelp
There is no other coffee shop with such beautiful interior! The coffee is good and so is the food, but the interior is unbeatable. Amazing coffee shop

Yelp
I recently visited Tellus Coffee in Walnut Creek, California, and had a fantastic experience. The service was exceptional right from the moment we walked in. The server was incredibly friendly and patient with us, especially considering we were unsure about what to order. We asked for recommendations and ended up trying the iced coffee (the dark chocolate mocha with oat milk). The coffee was absolutely delicious, although the empanada fell a bit short for my personal taste. However, my wife loved it, so it's just a matter of preference. Coming from the Mission district in San Francisco, I have had better empanadas, but that didn't overshadow the overall positive experience. I definitely plan on trying one of their pastries during my next visit because they looked amazing! The ambiance at Tellus Coffee had a perfect blend of urban and rustic vibes. The presence of beautiful plants throughout the space created a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. We particularly loved the plant wall and the overall decor of the place. Overall, we had a great time at Tellus Coffee, and we'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings.

Yelp
Love the Ambiance here. The Baristas are always friendly and very up beat. Their choices of pastries are always enticing I had their Veggie egg sandwich with Chorizo tofu a few time. The punch card also makes it rewarding for frequent visits. Flat Whites are usually my go to and always Almond Milk variety.. I definitely visit frequently since it's always consistently great.

Yelp
My experience with this place was underwhelming.. Got one of the avocado toasts and the toasts was extremely bland and barely had avocado that was $12.. Then ordered matcha latte and I it tasted very watery.

Anna R.

Yelp
I've been frequenting WC more recently and likely through the summer so I've been looking for different coffee shops to try. Tellus seems to always be highly rated. It's a cute and Instagrammable cafe in the heart of downtown WC and based on the lines on a Saturday morning, also very popular. My iced dark mocha and the avocado toast were good. The kouign amann was your typical kouign. Overall it was a good experience but a bit pricey as others may have mentioned. A small single piece of toast sliced in half was $12. I suppose that is the going rate but have experienced better value for the quality at other cafes. Nearly $30 for a kouign, an avo toast and a medium mocha. It's WC after all though, so I'm sure the pricing carries the cache.

Yelp
Barista running the register was friendly, patient, and helped me navigate my options given my food allergies. At the back of the cafe, there's cozy, velvet seating in a dimly lit room with high, brick walls. Coffee is delicious, and there are many alternative milks available for people with allergies. No gluten-free pastry options.

Yelp
Sometimes, it feels as if you wake up from a reverie. When you awaken, you can't recognize who the person in the dream was...Is that truly who I am? Or was that a part of me that was waiting to come to the surface and now is ready to sink into the background once more? I guess that's the beauty/mystery as well as the somewhat scary/unpredictable part of being human. You are constantly changing and so are others. And that's okay. But is there a point when it stops, and you can say, "This is finally who I am; this is the who I am meant to be," or will there never be an end to how much your desires, values, and goals change until you basically die? Is everything, including your identity, always subject to change? How about your relationships? The least I can say is that I'm confused. That's when you go out for some fresh air and grab a cup of coffee, preferably at a place with a nice ambiance and (even better yet) their own beans. That place for the fam and me was Tellus. Tellus stands out to me for its extreme green (like literally plants everywhere and green accents everywhere), spacious interior, and own beans (they have some single origins as well as blends). Service was okay. I mean, they're not supposed to be my friends lol. Coffee was good. We got the Americano as well as the Single Origin Pour Over (MELLONIA-COSTA RICA MEDIUM ROAST, FRUIT TASTING NOTES */ HONEY & TOASTED NUTS). The Americano was super clean in terms of its taste. The Mellonia had the rich sweetness of honey and did have a more toffee note.

Yelp
Came here at around 9am to study and I love how lively it is. It's right in the heart of downtown WC. The interior is welcoming and there's lots of seating inside. For anyone coming for the first time there's lots of street parking & a parking garage nearby. For anyone studying or planning to do work: there's free Wi-Fi which is a plus. I am a big fan of empanadas so I decided to try their chicken empanada. It comes with this chimichurri sauce which goes well with it. Would I order it again? Maybe not. It was nice to try it though. I also ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk and cinnamon on top. Delicious and just the right amount of sweetness. I've been on the hunt of the best iced matcha in this area and this one is up on my list. Will definitely be coming back again to try more of their food. The Quiche Lorraine seemed good.

Liza L.

Yelp
Hands down my fav coffee shop. The music, the vibes, the plants Their strawberry matcha is the best I've ever had & I can eat their empanadas all day every day.

Yelp
Best coffee shop in the Bay Area!! The syrups are all house-made, the staff does all the prep, everything is so fresh and so delicious. The ambiance is incredible, plants are everywhere and it brings a special freshness to the place. THE STAFF IS AMAZING. the friendliest people ever, it's what keeps me coming back (and the delicious drinks ofc). They have the best espresso and the beans are roasted in house. Highly recommend. Such good music taste too.

Yelp
Super cute and peaceful cafe with lots of green decor and seating. The baristas are all super friendly and sweet. If you go towards closing time, they may run out of several menu options. The almond croissant was pretty good! The cold brew and cappuccino was also decent but nothing too special. They make all their syrups in house and I got the carrot cake flavor but I couldn't taste it in my cappuccino. The peanut butter syrup in the cold brew was very strong however - tasted exactly like taking a swig of coffee after biting into a peanut butter sandwich haha Overall, good vibes and good cafe to work at or have a coffee break with a friend!

Yelp
Key Point: - Single Origin Pour Over available - Nice Coffee shop decor - Wi-Fi available - Popular, so somewhat crowded for its size. Don't expect an easy time finding a seat/table. Tellus Coffee? Well, let me TELL YOU (pun intended =)! The Mrs. and I came here one day after dropping the Little One off at school. It was a non-clinical workday for both of us, so we had notes to finish. Located in downtown, Walnut Creek, Tellus Coffee is a delightful spot for coffee enthusiasts seeking a unique experience. Ambiance: Upon stepping inside, I was immediately captivated by the stunning interior design, featuring charming brick walls juxtaposed with vibrant green accents. The atmosphere exudes warmth and character, making it the perfect setting for a leisurely coffee break or a productive work session. Food: Breakfast Burrito - A hearty and satisfying option. It can be customized with steak, chicken, or vegetarian options. We chose the succulent steak. Waffle - Adorned with fresh strawberries and banana. A delightful sweet treat that perfectly complements the coffee experience. Coffee - Tellus boasts an impressive selection of specialty coffees, including single-origin pour overs that cater to the coffee aficionado. They also have blends available for those whose discerning palate appreciates the complementation of flavors. I like specialty coffee, but the Mrs. prefers sweeter espresso drinks, which they also have! She ordered a Lavendar Latte from the "Not-so Secret Menu" whereas I ordered a pour over. Each cup is meticulously crafted. However, the only downside I encountered during my visit was the limited seating capacity, which led to some difficulty finding a place to sit, even during a weekday afternoon. They do have extra seating in the back, but I found all those seats filled. Fortunately, someone left their table right after we ordered, though the table was somewhat small, really not suited for two laptops plus two dishes AND drinks. The place could benefit from a larger space to accommodate its loyal clientele more comfortably. Overall, my experience at Tellus Coffee was exceptional, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow coffee enthusiasts and casual patrons alike. From its impeccable brews to its inviting ambiance, Tellus Coffee has undoubtedly earned its place on my personal Coffee Shop bucket list!

Rita W.

Yelp
BUT COFFEE FIRST... yes!!! Amazing good vibes feel at Tellus Coffee. Beautiful and green decor. I've passed by Tellus numerous times and their seasonal drink menu has always sounded awesome. I finally got to visit Tellus when I met an amazing fellow Yelper, and I'm glad I did! I told the person working there that it was my first visit and asked for drink recommendations, and recommendations were given. Not just the names of the drinks, but also flavor profiles and such which I respected. I ended up ordering a burnt honey cinnamon latte since that sounded unique and I haven't had that exact flavor latte before. I also asked for it to be not too sweet and for oat milk, and it looked and tasted amazing. I also got a vanilla scone and they even asked if I wanted it to be warmed up. Aw, so sweet. I paid, got my scone, and waited for my drink. They then called out my name and wow, nice latte art considering it was a plant based milk. Beautiful. First sip was amazing foam, perfectly crafted latte. Nice flavor, not too sweet. The scone was good too, but I prefer my scones more of the Larry David style- harder and such (are you a CYE fan too?), but not many places do that kind of scone so this was pretty good in comparison. They also do food here and that looked pretty nice too. If I was studying, this would be the spot I'd like to be. Looking forward to going back to try more flavored lattes and a great cappuccino.

Yelp
Coffee pilgrimage continues. Back to "The Creek" as my husband refers to Walnut Creek. The shop is on Main St. The street I used to cruise as a teen. But those stories are not Yelp! appropriate -- my friends and I may be part of the reason "cruising Main" was outlawed some decades back. Ok, back to Tellus coffee. This place is AWESOME! Located in an old brick building that long ago was an insurance company according to the plaque cemented to the outside walls. Walking in you are greeted by brick walls and a living plant wall, all accompanied by dark wood trim. Green neon and hanging lamps provide an industrial but homey and welcoming feel. We ordered a couple of croissants, mine plain, his double almond. These are delicious! Flaky, crunchy outside and tender buttery goodness inside. I believe these come from the same bakery that Philz uses based on they had the same onion bacon croissant I had last week. But that's where the Philz comparison ends. Everything else here is superior. I had the Candy Cane specialty holiday drink. Expensive, but worth it. They make their own syrups here, and this was a lovely blend of mints with a little candy cane in the side. I always order half the sweeteners and to me, this was perfect. I did drop the candy cane into the drink and it melted in perfectly. Hubby enjoyed the gingerbread latte, and his response was "It's so f-ing good!" The service is spot-on. Friendly and timely even with a busy pace. The shop had a steady stream of customers--those who are in the know will choose this spot to enjoy their Java! (and I want to come back for the waffles--with or without fried chicken!)

Monique T.

Yelp
Ambiance: love the atmosphere here. It is bright, green and feels cozy. It is a perfect spot for a coffee date. Food: yummy and good quality. Coffee: I ordered the drip coffee and was a tad disappointed at how cold it is. I was also surprised at how bare bones their cream station is. Still would return because the customer service was incredible.

Christopher K.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Meat lovers breakfast sandwich is bomb. The chicken empanadas are delicious too. Btw- coffee is great too! Very clean and polite staff. This is a go-to in Walnut Creek!

Ramona G.

Yelp
This is what happens when I forget to check-in, I forget to review the place lol. I first went to Tellus several months ago and I've been back a few times since then. Tellus has become my favorite coffee shop in Walnut Creek. I love the green and black vibe inside. I usually get their Lavender Latte and a pain au chocolate and it's great every time. I've introduced my friend to this place too. It's the perfect cafe to sit in Downtown Walnut Creek and people watch or get some work done or read.

Sydney A.

Yelp
Tellus is definitely in my top 5 out of the best coffee shops in the east bay. Their coffee is delicious & their staff is incredibly friendly. This is a very nice cafe to hangout with friends, or go to the back room that has a darker ambiance for work. Try the ice tuxedo mocha when you come.

Sara B.

Yelp
One of the best almond croissants I have had in a looong time! What a great idea to add almonds on top, it gives a great crunch and texture to this yummy croissant. I made the terrible mistake of trying Brioche Paris bakery, and wasted calories on a sup-bar stale croissant. Glad I found this place! I will also mention that their matcha lattes are great quality. They actually add enough matcha, and don't drown it with milk like many other places. I don't want to be paying for milk, I want my matcha to be generously added with a dark green hue! Their ambiance and decor is also perfect and unique. I feel like I'm in an edgy part of Havana with all the lovely plants and speakeasy seating. Anyways, in sum, go try this place!

Amanda U.

Yelp
The shop had a cool live greenery wall with an entrance to another room for more space to enjoy your coffee. They also sell some small plants. Coffee and plants it's a relaxing mix. First time having a peanut butter latte with oat milk. And must say I will order it again! It had a good sweet nutty taste to it. If you like peanut butter, you will enjoy it in coffee also. Excited to try the other flavors too but can't decide if I want to stick with the peanut butter. LOL.

Jillian N.

Yelp
I ordered a traditional vanilla latte, which was a good latte. Nothing super special, but I do want to try a few specialty drinks and food when I come back. I love the layout and ambiance of this place. It's so cute in decor and it does get busy! I tried to work remote here for a few hours and it was a lot louder than other coffee shops I tend to visit. Thankfully I have noise cancelling headphones so I was able to get through some meetings. If you're looking to just work with no meetings, highly recommend!

Sarah M.

Yelp
This is MY spot! I am here almost every weekend. I have tried almost all of their drinks and I always find myself going back to the strawberry matcha with an added shot. Their avocado toast is also divine. The inside ambiance is lovely, with beautiful plants everywhere! Seating is a little sparse on the weekends, but if you hang around you'll find a table. The employees are super kind and always friendly whenever I come in. I could not recommend Tellus Coffee more - absolutely try it out!

Kayla B.

Yelp
Very vibey spot, pretty busy on a Sunday morning with very friendly service. I didn't get the food but it looked delish. Matcha latte was done well. Mine nor my friends drink was very sweet so if you are into a sweeter latte make sure you specify! Still have to try some other shops in the area to compare but very good overall with prices just as steep as everywhere else (lol its the bay).

Wendy L.

Yelp
I can understand why people love this place. They have really tasty and different drinks - I love peanut butter so I had their peanut butter latte. Delicious! There were so many other interesting drinks to choose from including a seasonal pecan apple latte to so so many others. I'll have to return to try others! It is a popular spot so it can be tough to find a table or seats if you're meeting up with somebody. I was solo so it was easy to find somebody to share a table with. Two hours of free wifi.

Lucy P.

Yelp
Consistent, delicious drinks with prices on par with similar coffee places in the Bay Area. Ambiance is pretty unique; lots of plants and greenery, and there's a dim, spacious side room with plenty of extra seating. Overall, really cool vibes. The staff are friendly as well. I just wish they weren't always sold out of some of the items on their "Not so Secret Menu". My go-to coffee place on the North Main area in Walnut Creek. My boyfriend and I go here about once a month, after he gets a haircut at a place nearby. We always go on Saturday mid-day and there's a pretty sizeable line every time we've gone. Wait is around maybe 10 min to get to the front of the line, then about another 10 min after that to get our drinks. Despite the wait, there's a ton of seating inside and lots of cute plants to look at, so I'm never really bored or forced to stand while I wait. Our go-to drinks are the peanut butter smoothie and the strawberry matcha latte. Their peanut butter smoothie is so so so good; super smooth, delicious, and creamy, and by taste alone, you can tell it's made with real peanut butter and banana. The matcha in the strawberry matcha is pretty good but the thing that stands out to me is their strawberry puree/syrup. It's a bummer though that often times the drinks on their "Not so Secret Menu" or their seasonal drinks are sold out :( I've wanted to try their Brown Sugar and Date latte + their Matcha Blueberry latte for forever, but every time I've gone, they've always been sold out. I also want to try their seasonal Apple Pecan Apple latte but so far, no luck there either. I'll try going earlier in the morning to see if I can snag a seasonal drink! Service is always reliable and friendly, even when the place is busy.

Niyati S.

Yelp
Such a cute and vibrant café! It was our first time and my husband is a cafephiles so he was really excited to try their freshly brewed coffee! The ambiance is so on point! We visited this cafe on a weekend and even though it was so packed, the baristas were quick in delivering the order. My husband tried their freshly brewed coffee (dont remember the name:- ), where as I ordered their watermelon drink. It was quite refreshing. We also ordered a croissant and tried their pancakes with fruits, which was good!

Meg T.

Yelp
The honey and I stopped in without realizing that we'd made it right before closing. I've always loved this building and interviewed here when it was an insurance company. The service at the front was incredibly friendly, offering us several pastries for free since they were about to close and I quickly ordered a peppermint mocha no whip with coconut milk. Sadly my drink came with whip and when I let them know they turned around and scooped it out - but the cup I got back was a mess. Whip cream dribbling down the side and cream remnants on the edge. Luckily I'm not lactose intolerant (just dairy free) and was able to simply wipe around and inside the cup with several napkins, but it wasn't a great first impression. My expectation was a touch of ground peppermint or pieces of peppermint within the drink (something like what Starbucks does with a mix) but in reality it was a small candy cane on the rim (which was still pretty cute). I dropped it in the bottom which seriously improved the taste of the drink towards the end, but without the candy cane it was essentially a basic (lukewarm) mocha, and not a great one at that. My recommendation would be to crush peppermint fine enough to melt in the coffee or place it at the bottom of the cup before being filled. So all in all, although the service and location are amazing, the quality and taste of the drink just weren't high enough to have me return.

Laura E.

Yelp
What a great local coffee spot! My friend and I came here around 11 at this morning and it was crowded. The sign of a good coffee spot. I got the pumpkin spice latte and I think my friend got an americano. I normally get sugar free syrups/stevia/Splenda in my coffee drinks but even with the non-sugar free pumpkin syrup, it wasn't overly sweet. Service was friendly and the drinks came out fast, despite the crowd. Tellus seems to be a good spot to work, as evidenced by the outlets and people on their laptops. They have some unique drinks I don't typically see at other coffee spots so I plan to try more of those in the future. I'd absolutely come back, especially during the week when it's likely less crowded.

Alaric S.

Yelp
first time to come on a busy Friday morning well waiting for my car to be serviced at the Mercedes dealership in Walnut Creek. I saw that they had açai bowls, unfortunately, they should just stick to making coffee, The only cool thing about this place is the sign that says but first coffee The service was super slow per usual, and the presentation was not all that great. It ended up being more of a shake than an acai bowl And for $16, that's not a very good value to wait half an hour for an açai bowl that charged extra for additional toppings

Michael D.

Yelp
Another great coffee joint. Can sometimes be busy with groups and laptop Jockies, but this is still one of the best coffee spots in the east bay.

Jessica M.

Yelp
Ambiance: 5/5 This cafe has a beautiful interior that makes you want to sit and stay awhile, while you stare at everything inside. It has a beautiful foliage wall towards the back of the cafe that's massive. Because of the large space and high ceilings, the space never feels too cramped. Also, it's perfect for chatting with friends and it doesn't get too loud. Food: 5/5 The drinks were delicious. I tried the Cereal Milk Latte (I think it was a special and not on the main menu). This latte is my new go-to drink. The cereal milk combined with the coffee flavor was perfect. Highly recommend. I also tried the strawberry matcha latte. It was a solid beverage choice as well. Service: 5/5 The staff here were nice and prompt at making drinks. They also kept the establishment very clean. I highly recommend this cafe the next time you're in the area.

Yelp
It was warm & positive vibes radiate when we walked through the door with our big group of cousins. I never noticed this shop before until yesterday. I need to start getting back out more often. This place was a hidden gem! The staff is super friendly and chill. Everyone smiles and acknowledges every person that walks through the door and when leaving they bid you farewell Merry Christmas and a warm thank you for visiting. Customer service is #1 and they deserve the full 5-star rating. Atmosphere is positive, good music, natural light from sun windows in the ceiling. Restrooms even lit w natural lighting if I remember correctly. And there is another nice more lower lit and cozy room as you walk past the restroom in the back. People were on the laptops and just chillen w their friends. I had a soy lavender latte w snow man design ! Cousins had a peanut butter type latte or hot chocolate, I saw an iced smores drink, and others. Mine was flavorful and yummy. There is a smoothie menu and a coffee menu in addition to a cute plaque menu at the register.in addition they serve bomb looking breakfast items that I am looking forward to trying soon! Our cousins Christmas brunch day was memorable, thank you Tellus, I will be stopping by to continue trying more yummy drinks & treats that you have to offer!

Yelp
We ordered the Venus Latte and Cardamom latte. Both had very strong flavors, which I love in a specialty latte! I went on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed! There's a good amount of seating and I was lucky enough to snag one of the tables in the back room, which feels so cozy and private. I also love all the plant vibes going on. This is definitely a place that I'd go back to if I want to splurge on a delicious and unique coffee!

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Open, brick wall, clean, comfy seating, chill music choices, cool room in the back and they do a good job making the street side patio feel 'green.' Service is friendly and efficient. Prices are in line. Nice food menu: empanadas, croissant sandwich, eggs, smoothie bowls. Too much good to list. Top notch coffee joint.

Yelp
Fantastic little gem in downtown Walnut Creek! So far the best coffee you can get in the area. There are plenty of seating areas inside and outside. Pretty green wall decor

Yelp
Super friendly staff at the counter, excellent decaf coffee (not all of them are good at other places) and beautiful green everywhere to feel the good jujus

Yelp
I have tried Tellus a couple of times now for coffee meetings. Very good coffee at very good coffee prices but I guess that's what is expected in WC. Lots of seating open during the latest visit. Worth a stop if you are in/around Downtown Walnut Creek and want to do something other than the large chains.

Yelp
4.5/5 This is definitely my new favorite coffee shop in the East Bay! Very vibey spot I love all the plants on the walls and there is more seating in the back. I'm sooo particular on my coffee having been a barista for years. I got the burnt honey latte and bf got the dark chocolate mocha. The foam on the drink says it all! When you have micro foam like that and they poured a swan you know its about to be delish. Wasn't too sweet and very well balanced. I could definitely taste the coffee which is super important to me. The only reason I took away .5 stars is because the avocado toast was a but lackluster. It had some kind of chipotle spread, avocado, chickpeas, micro greens, and pickled onions and honestly it wasn't cohesive at all. It was also under seasoned so I won't be ordering that again. My bf got their acai bowl and it was very soupy. I'll have to try their other food but for now sticking with the coffee!

Yelp
Usually before I go anywhere I read the 1 star reviews to see what the worst case scenario can be. The 1 star reviews for this place are pretty lame, like one complaint is about limiting internet to 2 hours. 2 hours! Listen people, just because you buy a coffee doesn't give you part ownership in an establishment to where you can just take up space all day. I hate buying breakfast somewhere and looking around for a place to sit, seeing nothing but laptops, bags, and empty cups taking up the entire cafe. So I think 2 hours of free internet is plenty and am glad they limit it, this isn't an office, they have to make money too. As for my experience, finding street parking was a pain, then I found out the parking garage a block behind this place gives you 1 hour free and each hour after that is only $1.50. I guess it was my tourist mistake for parking on the street. The s'mores latte was delicious, with a marshmallow on top that really made the coffee experience unique and tasty. My wife liked the avocado toast, while I enjoyed the bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich, with diced up bacon so you get a little bacon with each bite. The ambiance is inviting and a great place to meet up with friends for breakfast or brunch. It's also cool to know they roast their own coffee in house. I would definitely come back if in the area. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

Yelp
I had to get my car maintenance nearby so I decided to take a stroll around Walnut Creek today. Was craving a bit of something to drink, so I stumbled upon this place on my walk. Breakfast Sandwich: This was a delicious sandwich. The croissant was flaky, the eggs were nicely cooked and the cheese and bacon paired it all well together. It was very warm and not burnt at all. I really enjoyed this breakfast sandwich they had to offer. Strawberry Matcha: This was quite a refreshing drink. I really enjoyed the medley of flavors of the oat milk, strawberry purée and matcha at the top. It was not overly sweet or bland. It was the right amount for what I got. Overall, I see myself coming back here again

Yelp
Went here yesterday with my dearest cousins for great coffee and ordered the following: iced brown sugar latte, caribbean queen and iced lavender latter with oat milk for meeeh! Caribbean queen was refreshing! Iced brown sugar latter was just pretty normal. And of course, my iced lavender latte is creamy and yummers! Just with a taste of lavender and not too overpowering. When we get there there, place was packed, which was a good sign. The kitchen was already closed so we missed out on the avocado toast, but the more reason for us to come back and try it! If you notice, I did knock out a star because the barista missed a crucial detail, to make my cup, DECAF. Don't get me wrong, I love caffeine but not at 3:30PM, since it will disrupt my sleep and it did. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
The service is somewhat slow, but the coffee is good. Tables are always busy. I always get the cortado with soy milk. Silky smooth and creamy. Not too bitter. Anytime I'm in the downtown area I stop for a cup. I just wish they made the cortado in a larger size!

Yelp
This place pretty much nails their aesthetic: sleek and chic, yet simultaneously vibrantly green. Tellus is a lovely cafe that oozes comfort and it's a cozy place to chill out for longer if so desired and the folks there are just as warm in their manner. They also have cute mugs if you're having your coffee 'for here', pastries can be toasted just right for ready consumption, and there's plenty of space above so it feels rather liberating. Of course, there's seating in the back for folks that prefer a more closed off space too. Something for everyone? That all being said, navigating their menus is a bit challenging. The placement isn't centralized so things are a bit ecclectic, so take a moment to figure out their offerings from the boards in front and the menus situated up top (I couldn't really snap everything easily myself). Wide variety of stuff though ranging from baked goodies to breakfast items, tea, smoothies, coffee, and 'secret menu' coffee. Went with safe options of something from their specials menu and a pastry to sate my hunger. Seating is quite plentiful with the space they do have. They also have uncovered outdoors seating right outside at the street level, which makes it quite convenient for quick casual hangouts. ==Almond croissant [5/5]== This was beautifully flaky with just the perfect level of sweetness to accentuate the plentiful almond flavor without overwhelming it. Lovely treat to go with my coffee. ==Cocoa Horchata Latte [5/5]== Wonderfully aromatic from the horchata spicing; slightly gritty texture from all the spice fixings, but flavor more than made up for it. Very soothing without swinging too far in any direction, yet still a smooth coffee to drink. It's a mean cuppa they serve and I'd have it daily if my caloric intake could handle it (spoiler: it cannot).

Yelp
Awesome coffee shop with immaculate vibes. The empanadas are amazing, the sauce is incredible! Coffee is delicious and I highly recommend having it in shop in one of their cute mugs. The service is fast even when busy and I will be returning often. Hot tip: PB&B smoothie is what peanut butter dreams are made of.

Yelp
Really delicious breakfast sandwich! Coffee was good too. Pretty setting and clean. Only suggestion is turn the music down a bit. It makes conversation hard when it's so loud.

Yelp
So cute! I stopped in over the weekend while I was running errands and was thinking of ordering a smoothie or getting a snack... when i saw the "not so secret" menu, I changed my mind! I ordered an iced mint matcha latte with key lime cold foam and it was exactly what I needed. If you're feeling adventurous, there were lots of things on the menu that looked amazing. This would be an awesome place to come work, since there is a little vault-like room in the back that's a bit separated from the cafe area. It seemed nice and quiet back there! The best part, though, was the plants, and that's why I stopped there to begin with :) cheers!

Yelp
Tellus has a great selection of coffee and snacks/pastries. The place is super cute and I love trying their different flavor of drinks every time I come here.

Yelp
Food: I love their crispy almond croissant. Service: it Never fails. I always get a lively barista to take my order. Energizing! Ambiance: a wonderful space to catch up on reading at a corner, like I did. A great spot to gather as well.
