Staff great. Rooms have lake view and nice and cozy. Very peacefull!!!! Lake beautufull. The staff goes beyond what expected.

As a kid my family and I spent our summers here. We had a trailer in the park. It always has been and still is amazingly beautiful! Staff was so welcoming and friendly! Our kitchenette room was perfect, clean , stocked with plates and cookware. We took our dogs and hiked all around, found some beautiful rocks. We went late December and the weather was perfect! The water is very low, but has risen a bit in the last couple years. I just love the views.

I wasn't expecting much and boy was I disappointed.. The rooms have not been updated since 1950 there is no reason why those motel rooms do not have at least queens and not king beds they have double beds who the hell sleeps in a double?? Spend a little money fix up the hotel room the AC unit and Room 214 sounded like a 2 cycle motorcycle starting up and getting louder as it got later in the day now let's talk about the exhaust fan I've heard diesel motors that are quieter Let's talk about breakfast Friday should have white outers not brown because they were overcooked bacon a nice brown color not black with black oil dripping off of them Whoever is managing this place should be ashamed of themselves it is disgusting. Oh how could I forget about the in room pet 2 giant cockroaches almost 2 inches a piece you know it's bad when they have a fly swatter in your room. During the morning we could see sunlight coming through the one inch gap on the bottom of the door. Spend 3 grand a month and fix one room at a time Queen beds at a minimum new AC units You guys have to do updating.. Boat launches what to be expected they can't control the water so that was adequate I appreciate that but the rooms and food are sub par I've been in the jungles of Belize and had better rooms and better service

Sorry- but we stayed in Guest room 3- floor was filthy with stains! Asked to be moved - they said no. Next day - fire hazard with electric stove- burner would not shut off! They took stove out of room- offered another room “ just to cook in” and removed all bedding in that room. Was told “ they shampoo carpets when they can get to it” ! I’ve requested full refund! But have not gotten a response from management. ! Very unhappy with this!

Our families have been going to Temple Bar for about 45 years. Always fun and the people, visitors and staff, are always friendly & nice. Our annual trip in August was great. My four year old grandsons learned to water ski this trip. We have been at the lake when the water level is so high that the overflow at the dam has water racing past the dam. We also were there a few years back, when the lake was so low that we had to rent a boat and jet ski. |Always a fun adventure.

This area is still great for fishing for largemouth and striped bass. The launch and amenities are far less than in years past. It is part of the Lake Mead/ Lake Mojave recreational area, so there are fees associated with its use. There were no people using any of it while we were visiting, and the severe low water levels are certainly impacting the entire area. There was still wildlife about and many species of birds for bird watching. Bring your own supplies when visiting.

We were heading back to Vegas from the Grand Canyon and decided to see if we could find accommodations at Lake Mead. We came across Temple Bar. We could not have been more satisfied with this place. The rooms were neat and clean. The restaurant was great and the food was fantastic. The taco salad was the best meal we had all week. The property was immaculate and very well cared for. It was clear that the owners and staff take pride in their business. This place has it all. Nice Job

Very laid back here, at least in late January....isolated campground as well as an RV Park and a small single story motel....the store is well stocked but very seasonal...fairly reasonable prices considering there is NOWHERE close to here for provisions....the marina area is pretty small in comparison to the Nevada side....not much going on here as it is very isolated....the Lone worker in the store did say that they get busy during the warmer months but that is still a few months away/:..restaurant and bar are closed from mid October thru mid April or so....rentals are available for boats and equipment...water is about the same as Nevada, you can see where the boat launch used to be, pretty sad state of affairs....anyway, it's a cool spot...RECOMMEND

What an amazing place!! From the moment we all got there we had a blast!!! Extremely helpful friendly staff. Can't wait to go back!!!

Temple Bar is a great hidden gem! The new management is the greatest its been in a long time! Its great how they all work together and have a fabulous team of people to make it a great experience!!!

We rented a SunCruiser pontoon. What a great boat! It was clean and well appointed! Lots of space with a good sized bimini. The check out staff were through and helpful. Temple Bar is a nice hideaway on the AZ side of Lake Mead.

Spent the 4th of July weekend here. Staff was outstanding, Dennis at the restaurant was fantastic & gave great customer service. Good food too. Our room was quaint & perfect for our stay. The scenery is amazing & so beautiful. Best experience I've had anywhere in such a long time! Thank you. I will be back real soon!

Everyone here is amazing! So nice and helpful! Our first time here for a kayak trip (you cannot launch motorized boats at this time due to water level - make sure to call before you visit). Store had everything we needed. Showers are 25¢ for 2 minutes. You can camp or stay at the hotel (we camped on shore). The people here are what make this 5 star!

Sad:( sad food:( sad service:( get your port a subs and full tank in your boats and avoid: I know the lake levels are out of everyone's control, but cigarettes in 5 ash trays filled! Outside dated and filthy ! Food bad: employee said she was homeless! I will never stop off the lake to go there again.

I just spoke with Trish, about 5 minutes ago, to inquire about their boat rentals. She was extremely rude from the moment she answered the phone. Her attitude was as if she hated her life and was annoyed that I even called. She was not professional. If I were this company, I would fire Trisha. What a horrible representation on their company. With her rudeness and unwillingness to help, i'm sure this company is missing out on many customers.

My family had an amazing time. The staff at Temple Bar were amazing. We rented a Sea Doo and a Fishing boat. Plan to go again next year. Highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful time here and look forward to seeing everyone again! Rooms are clean and food was fabulous! The little store has a few necessities and local gift items... We really enjoy getting here to get away!

What a great find! I'm always on the lookout for a place that seems a bit off the beaten path and this was it. Drove out the week before and while it was slow (it is winter after all) I liked how remote it seemed while still having all the services (motel, cabins, restaurant, shop, boat rental.) So, turned around and went back out this this weekend. Super easy to book the cabin over the phone. Check in was easy and the ladies running things were super friendly. While the cabins are pretty old, they were meticulously clean...much more than I expected! Great to be able to hike around the lake, have a fire in the picnic area, and enjoy the night full of stars. Can't wait to go back. **And for those reviewers that complained everything was too far from the water...all was closer when there was more water 50 years ago!

We reserved what I thought was the deck/patio boat which is what was shown in the picture (even though the caption said 18 ft pontoon boat). To our surprise we actually rented the pontoon boat and it worked out well especially when you consider the deck boats were out of commission due to lack of staff during COVID. The marina staff was great, we had a great time. They just need to correct their website to show the boat you are actually renting!

If you want to access a part of Lake Mead that's not a zoo, this is one place to go. It's 28 miles from Highway 93 to Temple Bar, and at the end of a winding road filled with dips and sharp turns and a fee station you'll find yourself at Temple Bar. The boat ramp here is nice and easy to use, and they have a old school style ranger station that was architecturally different and had clean restrooms. They also had an convenient place to buy ice. But that's where the good ends and the bad begins. With the exception of the short little walkway on the boat ramp much of the stuff on the water feels run down or even dilapidated. As far as marinas go, this one just has an icky feeling to it. While I will come back to Temple Bar, the only thing I'll do here is use the restroom, the boat ramp, and park my car here for the day. And beware of where you park as the Rangers wrote several tickets today for those who didn't pay attention to the signs. Park in the dirt area just East of the boat ramp and you're good to go. Again this is a fee area. You can pay $10 for a single day pass or $30 for the annual pass / windshield sticker. If you plan to come back or use other parts of Lake Mead / Lake Mojave the $30 pass is a good deal. One other tip: Cell phone service is spotty out here. Depending on your carrier be prepared to roam, or see no signal. This is not the place to take a road trip to and try and stream Pandora while you go.

My friend's family has come here for years and they love it. I have come now twice and always have such a blast! This is a great place to get out of where you are and relax. It is 40 minutes in from highway 93 on a never ending windy road that will take you down to Temple bar. Be careful, there is not much cell service - it comes and it goes.

We boated up to Temple Bar from Las Vegas boat harbor just to have lunch. The restaurant was clean. The staff was very friendly and very attentive to our needs. We had three boats, so there were 15 of us and the service was still spot-on. The food was good, nothing over the top, but good bar/coffee shop food. The exception being the zucchini strips and the onion rings, whatever batter they use is really good. Darin, our server, handled all 15 of us without hesitation and without error. If the car drive wasn't so far, and so isolated, I would probably stay here, but for now, we just continue to boat up for lunch/drinks. Oh, by the way, there is a shuttle to pick you up at the marina and drive you up the very, very long hill to the restaurant. Without that, forget it. Enjoy.

This hotel and restaurant was built in the mid-1940s but they've kept it up well it's clean basically has everything you need. Lakefront rooms cost a little more, don't think I'd spend it but would pay extra for the full kitchenette. We had room fourteen, not a lake front room, it just had a small refrigerator. it was spacious and although older in really good shape I knocked off one star because of the slow shower drain and it had a fish smell the prior tenants had been fishing I told the management and they did their best to fix it. We ate at the restaurant 2 nights and the food was decent similar to a coffee shop but the place is very remote, very quiet and for that alone we will be back.

i can say that my wife and i really enjoyed this place. people are very polite and friendly!!! definitely recommend and will be visiting again..

We have been coming out to Temple for years and love it. Rooms are good, but you aren't coming for the room you are here for the lake and it's beautiful. It is always quite and residents are very friendly. The only thing that sucks if the restaurant closes at 5PM this time of year, so plan accordingly.

Hate to let the secret out but Temple Bar is the best kept secret in boating. We do our Annual Tigé Boat Reunion here and we pretty much shut the place down of the winter. We book the whole motel and all fishing cabins and just own the lake. We are all avid wake boarders and wake surfers just looking for good people to share fun with. The staff is more like family than anything and pretty much accommodates to whatever we need. Jason is the bartender and does a great job. I highly recommend checking the place out. Also, the facilities are not the nicest but I don't go here for that. The views are amazing and when the weather cooperates you will rarely find yourself off the water. I have been coming here since I was 5 years old or younger.. and I am 32 almost so as you can tell they have my business for life!

Love this place. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They just accept who you are and have a fun time getting to know you. The Marina is close to the campground we stayed at and we kayaked our hearts out. Beautiful scenery and water to paddle in. The campground run by the forrest service is a fine place. Sites are private and the place is generally pretty quiet. They have an upper (closed) and a lower campground which we stayed in. Bathrooms were clean and showers and laundry facilities at the marina. My only complaint is that all the vegetation in the upper Campground is not being watered. The trees and shrubs are being left to die. Not sure why, but it breaks my heart. We biked around the whole campground every night at sunset. So much fun. The restaurant has killer onion rings. Beautiful dirt road driving near the marina. We did coenhour Loop and Gilber Canyon. Found a hike at the end of the road at Gilber and hiked to the water. The canyon was beautiful. We did need 4-wheel drive. The views, the colored rock and petroglyphs were rewarding. All-in-all a great place to visit. We will be back.

I was looking for a fun NYE adventure to do with my family which include 4 young adults between 16 & 22. Needless to say its difficult to find something to do together on NYE, so to ring in 2012 I rented a house boat from: houseboating.org and selected Lake Mead for our 3 day adventure. For Dec, only the Temple Bar Marina was available. Although we had a great family trip it was in-spite of the boat we got. The boat itself was not well maintained, here is a list of the problems we had: 1. When we arrived for "early board" we had no water and no way to use the toilets after a 2.5hr drive from Vegas. The day we were suppose to leave they were trying to fix a broken water pipe which was not fixed and delayed our leave. So instead we had terrible water pressure and constant water shortages during our trip. 2. Key lights were not working so you couldn't see in the restrooms at night. 3. There was no door lock in front of the boat which was creepy in the middle of nowhere. 4. The worst was that our Carbon Monoxide alarms kept going off in the middle of the night! During orientation they said that if the light was red we needed to vent the boat which they did every night and air the boat in freezing temperatures!! When we complained about the alarms they said it was not CM but a low battery warning which they didn't explain well during orientation and I don't believe was true since the alarm stopped when we aired out the boat. It seems that this boat could have been a death trap if CM was really getting into the cabin as we slept with the heater on. 5. On our last day one of our toilets stopped working due to a dead battery. I shared with the crew at the marina all of the above but they said to tell the maintenance crew which I was never given an opportunity to do so, nor was a given a survey to send feedback. Like I said, it was still a lovely trip with great canyon views, campfires and hiking which is what I wanted but If it weren't for my capable men that constantly fixed and worked around the boat problems our trip could have been ruined. I recommend the concept but not this boat. It was the 59 Deluxe Boat and not worth the money we paid. Houseboating.org was very friendly and helpful but I don't think they have any idea what the condition of the boats are at the marinas they work with.

Horrible experience with this establishment today. Arrived for lunch at about 2:30 with my small in-a-bag service dog. I advised the server who came to my table that I had a service animal. I was told that I needed to provide documentation. I told this person that documentation is not required under ADA regulations. She turned me over to Laura, (the manager??) who was immediately confrontational, rude and hostile. She told me they would not serve me unless I could produce papers for my service dog, raised her voice at me and literally threatened me. I advised that I did not have any papers with me but I explained what service my dog provides, how long she was in training and the cost. I was then told that the they would have to bring out the General Manager, who never showed up. I explained to the staff who were confronting me and my service dog that they were wrong, that the ADA regs do not require production of any documents. Finally, I was told that they would serve me this time. I was very upset and actually wanted to leave without eating but I had driven such a long distance to this dead end location that I decided to stay. This establishment was in gross and blatant violation of the ADA regulations. I may file an ADA violation action against the Temple Bar Marina restaurant. Laura came to my table some 15-20 minutes later and apologized for her behavior towards me and my service dog. Aside from the foregoing, the service was incredibly bad. I ordered a BLT. It took over 40 minutes for this simple meal to arrive. I was the only patron at the time. I will say, in support of the wait staff, that they were very pleasant and courteous and apologetic for the way I had been treated regarding my small and virtually unnoticeable service dog. The food, once served, was good. Stay away from this place. Especially if you are travelling with your service animal.

We have been going to TB for many years but always in our motorhome. This was our first stay in the "motel". I am reluctant to yelp TB because it is the secret jewel of the Colorado but I just have to give "props" those who run the place. Starting with Sara in the office - she is always so awesome - professional, knowledgeable and helpful. She really is a gem and I hope Forever is good to her. The marina itself (including fuel dock) is extremely clean and well run. The ramp is very well maintained despite the ever-dropping water levels. The motel rooms are very clean and nicely furnished - we stayed for 5 days and every day we got off the water in the evening, our room had been cleaned, restocked - it was awesome (thanks housekeeping). The restaurant/bar is really a treat - when ur too tired to cook - just a short walk from your room - food was fantastic, cocktails were really good (thank you Jason and staff) and the store has pretty much all you need as far as essentials. I did submit the paper Comment card to Forever Resorts Corporate office but hope this Yelp review gives the staff the recognition they deserve.
