My buddies and I really wanted to come here for Korean Pop night, but the reviews made us hesitant. We ended up meeting a local the night before that told us we should come here cause it was a vibe, so we decided to give it a chance. It was a $30 cover charge to get in which is very standard for the city. 4 minutes after walking in, my boys and I looked at each other and said “oh yeah bro, this was the spot”. I don’t get why this place isn’t rated way higher. The drinks were incredibly reasonable for a nice club like this in the city. I was actually kind of shocked at how cheap they were. Staff were all really nice too. Location is just about as ideal and safe as you can get in SF so when you are walking to or from this club after drinking, you can rest easy. Great experience across the board, will be back next time I’m in the city.

I had a great experience at Temple recently with a bunch of friends on 5/25, which was allegedly their last day open according to SF news sources. I found out on that night from staff, however, that it wasn’t their last night and they’re still open. Having recently moved to SF from the LA metropolitan area, I was super impressed by the venue. It is way nicer and larger than any of the LA clubs I’ve been to in Ktown and Hollywood. I certainly hope it stays open because places like this make me want to go out every weekend.

If you're a fan of electronic music, this nightclub is a must-visit. Featuring famous DJs, the lights and sounds here are top-notch, creating an immersive experience that keeps the energy high all night long. The club also offers a unique variety of music with a basement area dedicated to different genres, ensuring there's something for everyone. On special occasions, they open their rooftop, where you can enjoy an awesome view of the city. The combination of great music, vibrant atmosphere, and stunning cityscape makes this spot truly exceptional.

Temple's current staff is fantastic! Big thank you to George & Carlos for taking care of the mamas at the GoldFish concert. So impressed & definitely recommend bottle service for a crew. Main floor has cool LED screens everywhere - was awesome to look up at the ceiling & see a stream of the DJs on their decks for part of the show. Cool lights, confetti, & smoke for the ultimate dance party. Been going here for 10+ yrs & seen the various remodels. Glad to see this venue is invested in a great staff, good sound system, & killer lineup. Keep it up! Oh & the cherry on top, their bathrooms & the dance floor were well kept and cleaned all night.

Google
Got overcharged $500 for a tequila bottle that we were initially told $200, then they added a mandatory/forced tip of 23% on top of that. There’s no bottle service listed for a reason. Sketchy asf. Horrible place. Avoid this place at all cost. Never going back.

I contacted the nightclub before the show to ask about tickets since I had never been there before. I was told the closest option to the stage would be the vip experience table. When I arrived the ViP experience/open bar table was the last table close to the back corner wall and the stage was not visible. I paid $150 for the ticket (even though I told the person I do not drink). Turns out I stood up the whole time to be close to the stage- did not get one drink from the VIP table and the others next to me on the dance floor/ close to the stage paid $35 The messages she (Temple Management, Melody) sent me were very misleading and it was difficult to keep my cool after I got there and saw what I paid for. I did ask for a better area but was told this was what I paid for. There was no one I could talk to about it as they were all busy. If you're curious about what level ticket to pay for- buy the cheapest one possible if you want to be close to the stage. There are no sections that are roped off unless you buy a table with bottle service. If you do buy one of those I was told the higher price you pay- the closer your table will be. If you choose the VIP Experience- you will have NO VIEW of the stage and no screen anywhere that streams the show. You are basically screwed. Any option with a full bar will not be worth it- the place was so crowded you couldn't get a drink anyway. The artist I paid to see came out at 1am after standing at the stage for about 90 minutes. He was on the stage for about 20-30 minutes. He sang over the original tracks the DJ played- it was rough. However, my stars aren't based upon that experience. The 2 stars are basked upon being scammed out of $150 when I could have paid $35. The crowd was very young- if you are 21-25 this is probably a good spot for you. Mature crowds might be disappointed as the shenanigans are prety juvenile. I won't be returning now that I know what it is like.

Very cool spot in downtown SF. The rooftop (known as the Skyline Lounge) has great views of the city and is a chill hangout spot with drinks and music. $15 cover to enter, but worth it for the views and the vibes.

Google
Literally leaving the bouncer made an offensive comment and wouldn’t let you sit without spending over $80, then we’re leaving and he caused a scene about our group having an interracial relationship and spit on someone in my party! It was the most embarrassing situation I’ve ever been apart of and I’m so ashamed to even visit a new place with these type of morals. NEVER visiting again.

Yelp
Great venue, had a "lost my wallet" moment and Jay was very helpful the next day. Come to find out my wallet was laying in the street in front of my apartment, dropped when I got out of my Waymo. Sound system fantastic, staff super kind, and good curation of music. Thanks for your help, thanks for a great time, and thanks for Shiba San!

Yelp
Cheat codes postponed their show in August to Oct 6th so my texas friends visiting gave me their tixs. This club is still as horrible as it always has been. This time the issue was the entire club was atleast 90-100 degrees inside. Dont know if they were blasting the heater but how is this not a hazard? Someone could literally have a heat stroke inside and how are the employees able to work in these conditions? I was only in this club for 1 hr and we left before even cheat codes came out but it was too hot. This club does not care about their customers and their wellbeing, just $$$. If owners do not care, why stay in business?

Yelp
The disorganization at this venue was incredibly annoying. We purchased VIP tickets with an open bar for the P-Lo event on February 13, 2025, expecting a smooth experience. Instead, security scanned our QR codes and stamped us without checking that we had VIP tickets or telling us we needed to pick up wristbands. When we got inside, we went to the bar in the lobby to the right to redeem our open bar access--only for the bartender to tell us we needed wristbands. This was the first time anyone mentioned wristbands. So we went back outside to get them, and that's when things became very ridiculous. The staff did not believe us even though we literally had an email receipt proving we paid for VIP. Instead of resolving the issue, they sent us back and forth between different people, making us wait repeatedly. Even the manager acted like we were trying to scam them, instead of acknowledging their own flawed process. Once we finally got our wristbands, we found out the open bar was only available upstairs--and the drink selection was seriously underwhelming for something advertised as an open bar. If you're going to charge extra for VIP, at least provide a variety of quality drinks instead of limiting options. That being said, P-Lo was amazing, and I still had a great time with my friends. But Temple seriously needs to fix their check-in process and train their staff better. It's not worth paying extra for VIP if they can't even verify tickets properly or communicate how things work. If you plan on coming here, don't waste your money on VIP--it's more hassle than it's worth.

Chris J.

Yelp
Huge line for green velvet. Pretty packed inside and couldn't get anywhere close to the floor without being crammed. Alcohol all over the floor, some creepy people under the booth. Saw security forcefully remove people from the crowd multiple times. The lights are cool, just not the best vibes for a night out. Maybe it's better at the VIP tables but they almost never have good acts so not worth it

Bryson B.

Yelp
Why stamp me if I can't get back in? I paid $30 and 10 minutes later they wouldn't let me and my friend back in. I wish I could leave a 0/5 stars!!

Yelp
the music was iffy so check whose DJ'ing to make sure it's your music taste! the bartenders were so nice and very quick with their drinks. lots of room to dance so bring your dancing shoes & let go for the night! the bathrooms are very clean & monitored by a person throughout the whole night. don't be afraid to bring your jacket, coat check is $5 but they take cash & card. there's a smoking section out back with chairs too! i had a great night with my friends and would go back on another night with music that's closer to what i like:)

Adit B.

Yelp
Worst club in sf by far, security is aggressive. Bar staff is great, but their security team needs a lot of work

Sonia S.

Yelp
1st time here it was so much fun, service and the ambiance of everyone was superb! Celebrated our Queen Kiki's birthday

Kaeli M.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and would rate it average in terms of experience. However, I would like to warn people about the security. There was a rather aggressive lady at the entrance who patted me down in the most uncomfortable way I have ever been patted down. Once I got in, I proceeded to use the restroom. It was extremely dimly lit in there, and I was having trouble putting my belt on because I literally couldn't see the belt holes. I turned around towards the toilet to try and get the light at a good angle, and all of a sudden there was POUNDING on my bathroom stall. I opened it (startled) and ITS THE SECURITY LADY telling me to stop puking? Mind you it was well before midnight and I was unfortunately stone cold sober. I never said this was a classy establishment (far from it) so if you're okay with feeling violated by security and the sweaty hot air, then you might have a fun time depending on who's performing.

Angel H.

Yelp
This place is RACIST and it was the first time feeling DISCRIMEATED AGAINST in a club in San Francisco. It was the worst experience ever. I would NOT come here again. We got pushed hard on the floor and my friend fell on her knees, she got bruised. We felt very unsafe because of the bad management and security here. We were being blamed for fell down on the floor and they kicked us out because we are chinese girls. The poor choices they made makes me question about this place.

Sada A.

Yelp
The coat check was incredibly rude--Went to retrieve a lost item and the attendant (woman) went on to interrogate me in a way to seemingly humiliate me. Truly disgusting behavior. I was being polite and didn't appreciate being talked down to like that. The experience felt racially charged. No one should be treated like that, completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun outing.

Jessie Z.

Yelp
Buy tickets online! Plays edm on the top floor and edm remixes on the basement level 55. I think for more popular events they may regulate more but they didn't care to separate the tickets for either spaces. The lines going in are a bit confusing to navigate but the coming in from right side? is preticket and forward is guest list and other side is no ticket I think. The lounge area is quite new and refreshingly cold with some couches to wait for uber. Otherwise, warehouse vibes. Does get hot, bar area downstairs gets crowded. I would say there's p much no dress code. I mean probably no athletic wear but I saw girls wear jeans, and guys wear sneakers, puffer jackets and hoodies so not too bad. The security can be a bit aggressive with checking body for anything. There's a diversity of groups and i can see how level 55 can get packed but the top area has way more space.

Yelp
Temple was my first clubbing experience in SF and I had so much fun! The music was great upstairs (Imanbek was the DJ playing that night) and downstairs they were playing a lot of classic throwback pop songs. However, I was disappointed by the bottle service we paid for. First, we paid almost $2000 for a table for 10, and there was barely enough space for 8 people and we had to share the space closely with another group of 4. The bouncer was rude to us, and ended up kicking our whole group out after claiming one person was being too rowdy- I would've assumed the amount we paid would've given us the privacy to have fun in our own table. The bottle service girls were really nice and helpful, and it was really fun when they came out with the birthday sign and confetti. I would come back to temple for a night out, but I do not recommend bottle service. It was overpriced and bouncer was not professional. If anyone has any recommendations for good bottle service in SF, would love to hear them!

Yelp
This was my first experience in a club in general and in San Francisco. I first went to the Pauly D show and then another time the following weekend. I had the absolute BEST time at this place. The music was fun, crowd was amazing (everyone is very respectful and fun, not aggressive at all) and the staff was the best too. I see a lot of negative reviews regarding security but they were so kind and helpful to my friends and I. When I was feeling nauseated and needed some gum they gave it to me, when I needed some water on my way out despite everyone being told to leave they let me hang back and get some water. Just great place all around. I felt very safe and it was so clean and drinks were good (obviously over priced but it's a club I don't expect anything else). I highly recommend coming here, one of my new favorite places !!

Tess T.

Yelp
I was verbally harassed by one of the security guards. As I was leaving the club, he said to another security guard, "look at those titties" and I commented back at him telling him that I am not an object, and all he said was "yeah, whatever." Extremely disappointed and disgusted with this experience. The security guard was so unprofessional, and quite frankly I felt dehumanized in that moment. DO NOT COME TO THIS CLUB. The security guard as a bigger guy, with a dark beard, and bald head.

Roxana A.

Yelp
Hadn't been there since 2017 but I moved back into the area and checked it out on Pride weekend. Its different. No longer sells food. Still has 3 bar area opens and vip on main floor when you come in. Basement floor is closed now but rear outside area is open. Bartenders were nice and quick. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. They played edm throwbacks to 2010 which I loved! Not too crowded earlier in the night. They have bottle girls. Its open til 2 am now not 4 am like before. They let us in free since we got there early around 11:30 pm.

Deepak K.

Yelp
Perfect night life vibes. Sound system and lighting are really good. Drinking prices and selections are decent.

Stacy L.

Yelp
DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ACTUALLY LIKE THE DJ! My friend and I went to see Will Sparks who is a world renown DJ who I have been dying to see stateside for many years - and this place basically ruined seeing him for me. The remodel of Temple has made it into a Vegas club, meaning there is very little room to dance and there are now a ton of VIP booths. The sound quality is GARBAGE compared to the Midway or Great Northern. The crowd is how you would expect (mostly terrible and disrespectful). Even if its another DJ I love, I would never ever come here to see them. Listening to them on my airpods would be better. The staff, though, was very nice.

victor L.

Yelp
I wore a crop top and was kicked out. It was homophobic. I ordered drinks and nobody said anything but the male security guards told me to leave since I was wearing a crop top. My friend took a drink into the bathroom and was told she would be kicked out if she didn't take the drink and leave it by the door of the bathroom. Will Never be going again. Very homophobic place. Don't go if you're gay. They obviously don't support any type of pride.

Jerry T.

Yelp
Its easy to believe all the stories of Temple SF's security abusing and straight up assaulting its guests when it personally happens to you. This is the email I sent to their corporate email where they promised me they would action against the security who manhandled me but ultimately never did anything and ghosted me instead: Dear Temple Team, I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate incident that occurred on the night of 3/4/2023 at Temple SF. My group of 8 people had reserved a table on the dance floor, and within an hour of our arrival, I was forcefully removed from the club by security without any explanation. I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the use of force that was unwarranted and resulted in a bruise on my inner arm. I would like to stress that I was not acting in a disorderly manner that could have led to my removal. My friends, who were present during the incident, can attest that my behavior did not warrant a removal. I was not given a chance to explain myself or given a chance to get back inside the club. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and provide me with a resolution. I look forward to hearing back from you. I would not recommend this club to anyone in the SF bay area, they are compliant with security who will manhandle and assault you even if you didnt do anything and already spent $$$$ on bottle service. Take your business elsewhere.

Angelica O.

Yelp
Came here for a yoga immersion class. It was so funny since I use to come and party here all the time when I would go clubbing. It was such a nice but weird surprise. To wind down at a place that winds you up. The yoga class was great! Hands on if you like and I do. I love when the instructor comes up and redirects how you are doing something. As soon as you walk in you trade your shoes for slippers. Then you pick a spot and yoga. After yoga you can get complimentary tea. Or water. For some reason I thought you get a complimentary stuff drink since every thing is served in a whiskey glass. But anyway, fun! Will go back

Emi C.

Yelp
This was one of the most worst clubs ever. Staff were extremely rude. We paid for the VIP experience and got tossed in a corner where there were no seats. Additionally, Trey Songz never showed up. He was scheduled to be on at 10 pm, but he didn't show. At 11:45 pm he still was not there. The tickets we paid was a scam! Never again!! It was a dirty and disgusting club, not worth the drive.

Kim D.

Yelp
My friends and I were using the bathroom in one stall and the bathroom attendant was BANGING on the door constantly, saying we couldn't be in there together. Mind you, we were simply trying to relieve ourselves & our bathroom excursion was a max of 5 mins. She went as far as to get a MALE security guard in the WOMEN'S restroom to berate us. He continued to harass us as we were washing our hands. Do not recommend coming here at all .

Yelp
This place is my favorite club in Bay area. It's very safe and always employs clean the floor. You can enjoy two different music. EDM and Hip hop that's a part what I like this place. VIP service manager Jorge is amazing and nice person. If you have never gone club in Bay you should go!!!!

Chris A.

Yelp
We got VIP with 3 bottles, and acted appropriate with a respectful group. Without getting too much into the story, bouncer was on power trip worse than most cops. Ruined my night with his attitude, will never return to this spot.

Poonam D.

Yelp
Last night, I had the pleasure of going out with my loved ones and some friends of friends. I was so surprised by the kindness and warmth of the security guards, who gently reminded women to stay safe. The crowd was quite diverse, and although it was a bit crowded inside, I suppose that's typical for a club scene. I don't usually go clubbing these days, but this was a nice change of pace.

Debarshi C.

Yelp
This review is for Bollywood Night with Akbar Sami and DJ Aqeel on July 28, 2003. 1) Super crowded - no place to move. Someone should investigate if this place is selling more tickets than legally allowed for the room size. 2) Drinks are tiny - they use something almost the size of shot glass to serve drinks. Absolutely ridiculous. Also accidentally charged me what previous party ordered. Be careful guys. 3) Music and song selection was bad - worst Bolly night ever. The room had some stairs leading to upper levels. They had closed that area and yet allowed the same number of people to buy tickets. I think this a safety concern. SF city should investigate this.

Alicia M.

Yelp
Security needs better training, period! A friend and myself came to see Pauly D perform, paid like everyone else, my friend was feeling unwell, *as it happens in nightlife and night life establishments. The restroom doors were being banged on while my friend was utilizing the restroom. Upon leaving the event another security guard (extremely unprofessional) stated my friend could not stay and we needed to leave, as we were already on our way out, I told him the security individual he needed to know where they are at in their line of work, as they are in nightlife establishment and you have someone ill in the restroom while banging on the restroom door to get out! For further emphasis on tonight's event, management can contact me directly, thank you. (Attention Management: Check your cameras in the restroom hallway of main floor and see that I was violated in being touched for no relevant reason and without consent, nor reasoning as to why I was shoved by your security in the event I was already leaving the establishment.)

Cindy CiCi L.

Yelp
We were told the downstairs room will be hip hop and it's the best dj. Even another guest overheard the same thing. Difference between her and us is that we paid for a bottle. While she was able to leave in disappointment, we finished our drink, paid and left in disappointment. What a waste of money and our time. The dj would play about 3-5 non hip hop straight then play about one hip hop. They would like about anything for you to go in and pay for the service and don't care how you really feel

Daniel L.

Yelp
Just had the worst nightclub experience of my life at Temple last night. I've been to clubs all over the world, frequent SF clubs, and have worked in nightlife for years, so I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly... take it from me this place is a big no-go from the get go. I'd heard negative reviews from my friends mainly regarding the crowd, but decided to give Temple a shot since they booked Green Velvet, a world renowned DJ who I've wanted to see for years. I paid $40 per ticket after fees which I thought was a bit steep but not too far above average for a big name artist. Arrived at the club 30 mins before he went on and was greeted by the longest line I've ever seen at a venue. I find out from another disgruntled ticket holder that they were still selling door tickets & we were being forced to line up together. They also only had 1 ticket checker and 1 security guard who stopped and frisked every single person. Fine. We waited it out and finally got in almost 1 hour later, 30 mins late for Green Velvet's set. Once inside, it was obvious that they'd oversold the venue. It was shoulder to shoulder packed on the dance floor and walkways, line for the bar was 10+ rows deep... no room to dance, hang out or even move around comfortably if you were in GA. This club obviously prioritizes VIP/bottle service, to the extent they've completely neglected the GA patrons who paid a lot of money to be there. We squeezed our way onto the dance floor and found a spot, packed shoulder to shoulder like sardines. That's when my partner & her friend tell me they'd been groped multiple times on the way onto the floor. After all the egregiousness we'd endured, we tried to enjoy a bit of Green Velvet's set.. but it was hard to do when they blasted obnoxious CO2 cannons & confetti on every drop & my friends were getting harassed left and right by creepy, drunk and aggressive men. Horrible. We left early, I've never been so upset and I want my money back. Don't go here, it's actually worth it to wait for your favorite artists to play a different venue..

Brian C.

Yelp
This place has gotten alot worse from 8 years ago. Security staff is very unprofessional at handling people who likely should get kicked out. Space for General admission has gotten more narrow as they expand the area for tables. I suppose if you really need to blow money and can't afford the weekend trip to vegas there's not much else you can do.

Lu C.

Yelp
This place is so fucking nice. ‍ the music is amazing, the vibes are unmatched, the drinks are good (expensive) they put a good amount of alcohol. it is very good located, i went there this Sunday they just opened a rooftop and it was such a nice experience, it was very fun. They have a lot of places where you can go eat very near there, the parking sucks but we luckily found a great spot 2 min walking. They do rooftop parties and also nightclub, haven't try the club yet.. i will update

Gabriela M.

Yelp
Came here 01/13/2023 for my birthday with a group of friends and had a blast! After being denied entry at Pura for no valid reason we came to Temple and we're pleasantly surprised with how fun it was. Main floor had EDM type music and bottom floor had Hip Hop and Top 40 music which I love! The DJ even game me a birthday shoutout which was very nice. We got some drinks as well and they were great! Overall had so much fun.

Vikram M.

Yelp
The WORST night club experience I have ever had. We were waiting in line and one of the security guards (Guard A) started getting into a verbal altercation, which was instigated by Guard A, with my friend. Situation was diffused initially and the security guard left and we decided that we were going to leave the line. As we were leaving the Guard A comes back with several other guards, one of which had a gun on him and starts trying to physically assault my friend. Several of us in our group stepped in between Guard A and my friend to try and deescalate the situation again, but we were shoved out of the way by the other security guards. Guard A proceeded to shove my friend up against the wall, put him in a headlock, choking him and started throwing punches toward his head and upper abdomen area. We eventually were able to drag Guard A off of my friend and leave the gated line, but he continued to pursue for around a block. My friend was severely injured and suffered a concussion which required him to be immediately taken to the hospital in an ambulance. This is completely unacceptable on the side of Security at Temple as there are several other reviews stating similar experiences, and I urge them to look into how they are training their staff. Overall, I would STRONGLY recommend staying away from this place for your own safety.

Stefonie G.

Yelp
Got damn the cashier Jazmin front door girl, did the damn thang. Let me tell yall i swear she does it for temple. Always dressed to impress. She makes sure you are good when you first get there to when you leave. She is so sweet. She is also very professional about her work, the way she caries her self. She also makes sure that you get what you paid for and you leave safely . I appreciate all the dedication she provides to the customers from respect , and love . Her work ethics are phenomenal. Without Jazmin temple i am sorry to say this but i don't think yall would be where you are . Keep Jazmin and make her manager .

Jean T.

Yelp
I went there on Sept 15th 2023, because Danny Avila was scheduled to play there from 10pm onward. I stayed until a bit after midnight and Danny Avila never showed up. Club has 2 rooms: electro music on the street level and hip-hop on the level below. Music was ok but the hip hop crowd had a great vibe. You cannot wear a hat inside, which I learned at the door (no mention of that on their website) and have to leave it at the coat check if so, for a fee payable only in cash. Feels like a place trying to survive with glue and tape rather than a club.

Michelle C.

Yelp
Came here a couple weeks ago to celebrate my great friend's wedding in the hip hop level and it was a complete party thanks to our wonderful server Evelyn who took such great care of us! If I ever go back, I will be requesting for her lovely services again!!!

Jon F.

Yelp
Jorge L has always gone above and beyond every time we have gone to the club. Friendly, humble, respectful and treats everyone great! He needs a promotion! All staff should be like him!

Satya G.

Yelp
Hosted a private event at Temple and the responsiveness + assistance we got from Melissa, Jay, and the whole team throughout the process was exceptional. We'll absolutely be back.

Garvin L.

Yelp
My group of friends and I had a wonderful and memorable time for an engagement party. We were magnificently served by Carlos. He made sure we were taking care of by making sure we were comfortable, had drinks/table set up properly and the last minute accommodations. We couldn't thank him enough for the hospitality and definitely had a wonderful time.

Sammy N.

Yelp
What a Great night out! We celebrated my wife's birthday with a bunch of friends and the staff was SUPER accommodating. Shot out to Jorge for taking care of us and getting us set up with a great table. DJ was playing all the jams and the drinks were flowin'. Definitely coming back soon!

Yelp
Complete nasty people. I asked to go in to charge my phone even though I just exited. They don't care. Never go here. Complete losers

Yelp
I have been visiting Temple for over 5 years now and they always have an amazing artist performing ! I love the new screen they put in after COVID ! It makes the experience that much better !

Yelp
Overcrowded and overpriced. The hip-hop room had the largest crowd but the smallest room so there was no room to dance. Everybody was moving around instead of dancing so when you did get to dance you got thrown off. They had us waiting in line so long we missed the chance to get in for free and then we had to pay $40 each to get inside. It's really not worth it unless you like the feeling of claustrophobia. Do not go!

Yelp
I was here with my gf and our friend group on 5/11 and we all got bottle service. Our bottle girl was drunk, too touchy, and could barely take our order. She kept asking us to tip her extra and turned rude when we didnt. Other than that we had a good experience and were helped when needed by other staff, so giving this two stars.

Yelp
Worse experience ever in SF. The security guys are so rude and unnecessary. They push you the whole night and use those awful lights to get space when is completely not necessary. At some point last night someone used pepper spray and everyone was dispersed inside the club do you know how dangerous is that? What they really want is a lawsuit and lose those licenses to remain open. I work in hospitality and never saw a nightclub to charge $60 to get in and have the worse experience ever. In the end when we tried to get a uber the security guys were pushing us and using the lights in our faces to leave the sidewalk. Like do you guys own the sidewalk after the club close and we can't wait there to feel safe? Don't ever go to this place

Yelp
Homophobic bouncers turned me away for "wearing a tank," called me a slur, and told me to "get my gay ass out of here" I was wearing a nice KVRT STVFF tank top with a herringbone puffer vest over top. My girls vouched for me and said that I looked hot and more fashionable than most of the other guys showing up in tees and jeans. We politely asked the bouncer if I kept my vest on if I was ok, he said "no, a vest is the same thing as a tank top just bigger." This is despite girls right in front of us wearing baby tees, corsets and smaller tanks. I don't know when we went back to high school and can't show our shoulders anymore, but there was a definitive difference in the way that I was treated vs the girls in front of us. There's no indication that tank tops are not appropriate atttire in any of Temples dress code. When one of my guy friends (who's straight) offered to give me his tee and just button up the over shirt he had, the bouncer called both of us the f slur and told us to get our gas asses out of there. Extremely disappointed that I would experience this type of homophobia in sf.
