Temple Tree Resort Langkawi

We have an excellent dinner and wonderful moment with friends over the dinning table at Temple Tree Resort Langkawi. The foods and drinks was well prepared and presented. The resort staff were helpful and focused to their task. The dining place are clean and the table and chair are well arrange. The noise level are acceptable and lighting are just bright as it suppose to be. The Bar is open daily till midnight. Although we are not staying at the resort, but through reading, social media report and Google reviews, the room are rated very well indeed. Check with the resort staff for further resort information. The toilet are spotless clean and well taken care off.

The mastermind who put these heritage houses together is a genius, has deep appreciation of the Malaysian culture and an intricate taste for beauty. I love how the houses are reassembled close to each other that it feels like a small kampung. Beautiful plants decorated the resort, and nice green grass carpeting the pool area. Morning feels tranquil and quaint while even looks romantic and relaxed. This resort is a gem with historic value and should be sustained. As much as I like this resort, there are a few improvement points to make it even better. 1. The wooden flooring squeaks too loud when I get off the bed and walked on it. We worried that will wake the kids up. (We stayed Penang 2) 2. Sound proof between Penang 2 and behind wasn’t good. But that’s also because the design and material of the house. Neighbor had told us our tv was a bit loud in the morning. 3. Pool- the pool has sharp stones which makes it hard to walk on. My kid’s swim suit got scratched and plenty of little holes. 4. Shower- if you accidentally turned on the hot water, it burns!! 5. Breakfast selection can be improved but good enough for us. 6. Tv wasn’t working too well for us. Even after changing the remote control battery, we still had problems navigating the channels/settings. We also called in massage last minute. Massage was good. Laundry is also available at a reasonable price.

We recently stayed at Temple Tree Resort, located not far from Pantai Cenang Beach, and it was a pleasant experience overall. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a small fruit platter, a glass of juice, and a cookie. It’s a simple gesture, but these little details added a nice touch to the start of our stay. The staff were kind and welcoming throughout our visit. We brought our dog, who is calm and well-behaved, and the resort was very accommodating. The manager, who was particularly friendly, even provided some toys for him to play with, which we appreciated. Breakfast was included with our stay and exceeded our expectations. The selection was good, and the barista coffee was smooth and enjoyable. The resort grounds are well-maintained and quite charming, making for a relaxing atmosphere. The nightly rate felt reasonable for what was offered, and the food and drinks at the bar were fairly priced. We enjoyed our time at Temple Tree Resort and would consider returning in the future. It’s a solid choice for a comfortable stay.

After living on Langkawi for 10 weeks to volunteer in dog rescue, I’d visited this hotel both for lunch & dinner before my departure in January. |In April I happened to return & as it was at the top of my list, I opted to stay here. |Initial impressions weren’t good. Despite a receptionist standing there, I had to scan a bar code, hunt out my reading glasses, hunt out my passport & do my own check in whilst receptionist stood there. Coming to a hotel of this calibre you expect to have someone do your check in for you. If Temple Tree is presenting itself as luxurious & colonial it would be nice if they’d take it a stage further and forget about this “chain hotel” behaviour of making their guests do their own check in. Temple Trees price structure does not represent doing your own check in like a budget hotel Chain would. ||Check in aside, everything thereafter was wonderful, I had the most glorious, stylish room. Comfortable bed & lovely warm yet rustic shower room. ||I’d like to extend my thanks to “Raymon” who despite the kitchen closing arranged for me to get a burger & coke delivered to my room. (I’d taken a short nap on the bed and due to the comfort of the bed ended up with a three hour nap waking as the supper service was closing). ||Burger was sensational as was the breakfast the next morning with a hot cooked station, cereals & glorious pastries which I never ordinarily have but did on that occasion. ||The hotel is convenient to the airport with a Grab. Despite the tormenting check in system all in all an excellent stay. Made better by the due diligence of Raymon.

Temple tree is an experience. It is a collection of older, colonial era homes that have been renovated. It isn’t your normal stay. It’s a little out of the way but the rooms are comfortable and the living areas are rather communal. The bar is generous and affordable and the morning breakfast was excellent. It is located in a rather out of the way place and is rather expensive, but it is an experience in an age of repeatable hotel stays that I know I’ll remember.

I was hesitant at first, but I’m so glad I decided to come 💗 The traditional house setup instantly brought me back to my childhood kampung atmosphere. Irene was so kind and accommodating. Ayu & Shahrim our masseuses took such good care of us. The massage was sooo good ! The whole experience felt warm, nostalgic, and grounding. We ended up extending another day! Paloh Restaurant has become our favourite spot to get work done while soaking in the atmosphere ✨

We recently stayed here with our 3yr old and loved our stay. From checking in (before check-in time) to delicious dinner and fine service, everything was simply wonderful. The houses are simply beautiful and gave this resort an authentic feeling. Personally I feel there is no lack of maintenance. Our daughter loved the swimming pool. Also, worth mentioning: we only encountered 1 single mosquito during our 3 night stay.

I recently had my stay at this beautiful property for three nights. The resort is strategically located near the airport (merely a nine-minute drive). The arrival experience was satisfactory, though we were not briefed on the benefits included in the package we booked. We had to ask the restaurant staff on the arrangement of floating breakfast and high tea the next day. The Estate 3 was clean but not very well-maintained. The bed frame made a squeaky sound whenever I turned. The linen, specifically my pillowcase, had a stain on it. We got rashes from sitting on the couches in front of the TV. It requires effort and strength to lock the door to the backyard. There were cobwebs on the ceiling of the room. The breakfast variety was not impressive; almost the same food was served every day. Besides, the quality of the food was really a concern given the mix of nationalities of hotel guests you have, based on my observation. Having said that, the staff at the restaurant were friendly and attentive. We requested to have less-spicy fried rice, and the restaurant was kind enough to prepare us separate portions (not one, but two!). The pool within the compound was not clean, and I could clearly see that there was dirt in the pool. I requested for a late check-out at 1 pm through the WhatsApp number provided and was rejected almost immediately by the hotel. I was given the reason that the same room was booked for the same-day arrival. Subsequently, I asked whether I had to check out at 12 pm or 12:30 pm, and the response was "By 12 pm," which was not too hospitable a response. The check-out experience by Irene was very transactional. There was no question asked about my stay experience, etc. Overall, while the run-down hardware was bearable, there is room for improvement for the service.
