Temple University’s Ambler Arboretum offers free public access year-round to 20 historic gardens plus tree-lined walking paths to explore. Highlights are the sculpture pool, healing garden, sustainable wetlands and the formal perennial gardens. You can park for free in Visitor’s Lot 2 but you’ll need to register your vehicle, especially if you visit on weekdays during the school year. The lot is a 5-minute walk to the gardens. Dogs are permitted, if kept on leash and out of the garden beds. When we visited on a summer weekend, we found no open public restrooms or water fountains and the grounds are carry in/carry out.

Independence Sinfonia performs in the theater. Very comfortable and easy to get there. Parking is close and plentiful. The stage is a bit small for a symphony orchestra, but they pulled it off. Acoustics were fine. Daniel Matsukawa is a very dynamic conductor who brings his experience to the stage.

Well, it’s been 50 years since I Graduated from the Campus. Looks totally differently inside and out sad to say. There is an old saying. “You can Never go Back”. Maybe you never should.

Great Campus and beautiful gardens to view. Plenty of night classes and events to go to during the weekends like Earth Day 🌎.
