Really great spot! Truly a hidden gem! The outdoor patio has everything you could need for a good time, from connect four to jenga and bags. There is plenty of seating for groups of all sizes. Many of their beers are award winning and you can tell a lot of time and effort has been poured into each beverage. Love this spot! Highly recommend!

If you’re looking for a brewery that nails the trifecta of great beer, atmosphere, and community, look no further. This place is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is unmistakably cool— hipster chic with a touch of charm that make you feel at home. Great selection of games as well! The indoor space is spacious and inviting, and the patio is a total vibe. It’s laid-back with a rad aesthetic—string lights, accents, and a great amount of seating (although this place gets packed). Dogs are welcomed here. Expect to see happy pups lounging beside their humans, adding to the already friendly, inclusive atmosphere. The beer menu is where this place shines. The tap list keeps things exciting, with everything from IPAs to crisp lagers and adventurous seasonal brews. Don’t skip the staff picks—they know their stuff and are always happy to give a recommendation. You can get samples for $2 and $3 (pictured here).

Really enjoy the TF beer selections including the watermelon gose and coco guava gose🍺🍺🍺🤩👍👍👍! Great outdoor space with some shade as needed. On site food trucks are usually pretty 😊 good.

Stopped by to pick up cans for a Yellowstone trip. Brewery was highly recommended, so had to check it out. Great brewery with very knowledgeable staff. Awesome beer. Granary Kellerbier, Squirrel hazy ipa and Schwarzbier were excellent!

Google
By far the best brewery in SLC. The Helles is my favorite, see photo. The space is unsurpassed by any brewery I have been to and the service is exemplary. Bonus, only super cool people go here, no skids or derelicts.

DO NOT MISS!!! Craft beer lovers - this is a must stop (and linger). I have been skiing in Park City for many years and never made time for brewery visits in SLC. That changed this year when we stopped to visit Kevin and his welcoming team at Templin Family Brewing. This place exemplifies excellence…from the design and decor of the space, to the friendly knowledgeable staff - straight into the delicious brews in the proper glassware! YES PLEASE - YUMMY! Cheers 🍻VERN

Google
So far my favorite brewery while visiting the Utah area. Some really unusual beers! Also some great medal winners. The staff and beertenders were very passionate about the product. Really enjoyed tasting all the beer and buying some to bring home.

Google
Excellent beer selection, as well as a moderate selection of spirits (tequila, rum from what I saw). Quality of the beer was great - love the different style glasses for the beer style too. Nice touch. Venue is very spacious indoor and outdoor. We enjoyed the outdoor area and were serenaded by a 70’s and 80’s DJ spinning vinyl (not digital - true vinyl). Food trucks every day of the week.

Yelp
Came here to try a food truck I've been wanting to try called cutthroat burger! They come here pretty often and it was delicious. You can bring the food inside and the vibe is great here and the staff was very friendly. They also have a great beer selection! The squirrel is a pretty popular one, my brother got it and loved it! He's even gonna take some home. Great Wednesday evening vibes!
google avatar

Angie H.

Yelp
Pretty cool vibe for a brewery. They had a food truck out front, which was nice. Had a couple good IPA's but not really any stouts. Overall, was a a good experience.
google avatar

Yelp
I loved this brewery so much!!! I only had one beer here - the watermelon gose - but it was so good that I got a can to go and drank it on my roof last night while watching the sunset. They also had the most amazing food truck outside - Thai Rex - and I got the spring rolls and the pork fried rice. Both were great but the fried rice was unbelievable.

Yelp
TF Brewing has become a notorious local staple for a reason. Award-winning beer, excellent service, and a community-oriented space makes it a hallmark. Their rotating beer selection continues to improve, with innovative creations like watermelon sours and creative hazy IPA's. There's delicious food options, too, with a weekly food truck schedule that is parked right out front. The cherry on top of the beer itself is TF's GORGEOUS PATIO, a holy grail patio in downtown SLC. There's great shade, comfortable seating, live music, cornhole, fire pits...and if that weren't enough to convince you, it's dog friendly! Truly one of the best spots to hangout on a sunny day.

Yelp
There is a reason this brewery has been doing so well for this long in SLC - it's great. I love when they have little markets to go to. Great beer, good cocktails, and yummy mocktail options. If you see Cutthroat Burger food truck outside, you HAVE to get it. Dog-friendly patio. Never had any issues. Plenty of seating inside and out. Great staff!

Yelp
Recommended brewery from locals and I can see why. We enjoyed their Sour with lime and sumac. The backyard with firepits and games were nice on the chilly night. The Ale with peaflower, lavender, and lemon was creative.

Yelp
I went with some friends since we wanted a little day drinking and as soon as we walked in, the place looked so cute! The available tabs were written on a huge wall which was so helpful! The bartenders were very helpful and nice. The outside, even though it is hot, was very well kept and cute. The place even has games you can utilize while sipping on your drinks! They even have a food truck in the from that is delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
This was probably one of the cleanest breweries that I have ever been to! Service was super friendly too. Their parking situation is cramped. Lots of beer choices.

Yelp
This is the place to be on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Don't believe me? Good luck finding a parking spot. It's hard to describe why Templin Family Brewing is such a great spot. I personally really like their communal-style tables. I have made so many acquaintances because of those tables. I am not a beer drinker myself, but TF has plenty of other beverages for us hop-haters. I tried their pretzel for the first time and I personally think I'll continue to bring in my own food from now own. For being a popular brewery, the tables, floors, and bathrooms are always impressively clean. The staff is also super nice and the outdoor patio is a favorite. Corn hole anyone? Bring a friend or bring ten, this place is for everyone.

Yelp
The brewery is amazing from the back patio with fire pits to the large indoor beer hall! The staff here is great and very helpful with the beer selection. The 210 IPA was very tasty and at the recommendation of the staff (I think the owner!). I look forward to returning the next time I'm in town!
google avatar

Chanel F.

Yelp
I'm not much of a beer person but the tasters that I had were very tasty! The bartenders were friendly and the music was good. We sat at the bar so we didn't have to wait in the drink line that was super long.
google avatar

Yelp
By far my favorite brewery in Salt Lake City. No only is the beer kick ass good but the layout is unsurpassed as far breweries go. The beer produced is phenomenal and the staff could not be more personable. This has become a must visit when I am in SLC once a month.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time and wasn't sure what to expect. I'm not a huge fan of beer and I thought that's all they had. Turns out they do have a limited wine and cocktail menu. I ended up getting beer anyway because they had some that sounded really interesting that I wanted to try. I am a fan of beer that doesn't really taste like beer and they had some great ones that fit the bill. We tried a selection from their circus series that had rose, hibiscus and chamomile. It was delicious and refreshing. It tasted like a sour to me. I also tried the Squirrel juicy IPA which I loved. I thought it tasted like pineapple. I noticed a lot of people were getting this one and I can see why. They don't have much food to speak of. They offer a charcuterie board and some bar snacks but they have a different food truck every day that parks out front. You can also bring food from other restaurants which is wild to me but also kind of awesome. We had food from the Weller's Doner Wagon and it was pretty good. This place is pretty interesting. The vibe is really something special. All of the staff are really nice and seem like they enjoy being there. We were there on a Sunday and they had some unique and cool guys spinning some delightfully obscure tunes. Check out their event calendar online. There is no shortage of fun outings at TF Brewery. They also have a cool, outdoor patio that is dog friendly that will be nice in the summer. PSA - if you will be at TF on a cold day, dress warmly. We went during a snowstorm and it was absolutely FREEZING inside. So, just be warned. Apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Yelp
Wonderful service and ambiance. All the staff were very friendly. There is plenty of seating indoors, and if you sit outdoors there are fire pits to get cozy around. As they have limited food options, you can bring your own food in, but there is usually a food truck onsite as well. Great spot for meeting friends to catch up!
google avatar

Yelp
This was my first time at TF, but I loved it. I went on a Wednesday night, and the place was lively but not crowded. My friends and I hung out on the patio which had a great vibe. The wait staff was quick with our orders and were checking in on us regularly. The main reason for my 5-star review, however, is the beer. Out of the three of us, we tried a total of 9 beers, and they were all good to amazing. The highlights were definitely the Beechwood Rauch Bier and the Wicked Sea Party. I'll be coming back here sooner than later for sure.

Yelp
This is an absolute must on a Saturday or next visit to Salt Lake. Inside, it's a modern industrial space. The taproom has some comfortable living room space as well as the German beer hall experience of long wood tables. It's quite busy, so plan your visit accordingly. The brewing area is open. You can get a view of the brewers at work. You can also sit outside in warm weather. They offer a wide selection of beers. The New England style IPA wicked sea was my favorite. While it was lacking a little in body for me, it was still quite good and worth a try. I also liked the nitro oat stout. Do not recommend bringing children here. There is a bottle shop in front for take away and merch. Be prepared to show ID upon arrival. See website for hours, location, menu and more. Food trucks sometimes available.

Yelp
Easily the best brewery in SLC or possibly Northern Utah. I say possibly because I haven't been to any breweries in Ogden or north of SLC. Service is always great because they always have staff walking around taking orders for beer and have the ability to close you out at your seating location. Their beers are always delicious and the abundant of rotational/seasonal beers makes it even better. The ability to get a snack like their pretzel is clutch. But always nice to know they have a food truck outside all day. The backroom for overflow is great, but their outdoor area is wonderful for all times of the year thanks to their fire pits.

Yelp
I really like this place I'm a fan of Fisher brewery just down the street, but this really is a cut above. There are very well crafted drinks here so as much as I like the casual bohemian approach of the before mentioned I'm gonna say that this is my favorite in the neighborhood. Interestingly, I don't attend as often as I do the other for some reason it's just easier there for me, but the crowd is beautiful. The drinks are smooth. I would say the service is more professional. It's just a real polished experience and delicious. I have only good things to say about my experience here. Try it you'll like it, a lot!
google avatar

Alden C.

Yelp
Very popular brewery here in Salt Lake. The taproom had a lot of people the night I visited here and I can see why. They have a huge tap list and a variety of all kinds of different beers. I got a Japanese Rice Lager a kind of lager I always enjoy and feel like I don't see it often enough. Not only that it is a light beer. The very subtle peach flavor to this beer was nice and the beer was very well balanced so no flavor feature was too dominating. Lots of other promising beer selections as well but I was very satisfied with my beer choice!
google avatar

Noah K.

Yelp
Great beers at an affordable price. Service was cheerful and relatively quick. Outdoor seating was rustic and there was a DJ spinning old school vinyl. Fun spot for a group or a date. Favorite beers were the Helles and the Freda. Cheers !
google avatar

Andrew R.

Yelp
Some of the best beer in Salt Lake City. I would highly recommend checking them out. They also have food trucks there everyday!
google avatar

Yelp
We checked out T.F. Brewing for our last night in SLC and loved the vast selection of beers, cocktails, wines and even wine cocktails! I got the cider, and it was so crisp and not too sweet. I loved it. There were a bunch of people playing chess, and we grabbed a Scrabble board and ended up staying at the brewery for 2 hours. Would definitely come again!
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
Great spot to grab a beer when it's nice outside. They have a large choice of beers, wine and cider. I like grabbing a table outside to not only enjoy the outdoor space, but there's waiters that serve as well!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was alright. Parking was super annoying, and there were just SO MANY people - the crowd was not my thing. There is a tiny parking lot so you are likely to have to find parking on the side street, which seems kind of sketch. We're from out of town, so we didn't realize that they had to scan your ID due to the type of license they had. Not the worst, but kind of annoying when the only person checking IDs is also your person that mans your gift shop. This created a blockage at the door that made no sense. I like their innovation on the brews. They are definitely doing some German style beers I haven't seen elsewhere. It wasn't my cup of tea, but to each their own. They host food trucks in their tiny parking lot, so that is how they have food on premise.
google avatar

Derek I.

Yelp
Very uptight about checking IDs. My wife is clearly over 21 and doesn't drink and they didn't accept her California mobile DL. We left and walked a few blocks to a different place and they were able to scan the California mDL.
google avatar

Yelp
Always delicious brews. And who doesn't love a Schnitt? Best way to sample a brew, or ten...
google avatar

Amanda Y.

Yelp
Love this place, SO many good beers and the seats are so comfy and the people are so nice! Not a big food menu but the pretzel is good and there's a daily food truck outside! 10 outta 10 would recommend

Yelp
Great variety in beers with multiple flavors. Really fun brewery in Salt Lake. The lingonberry beer and citrus beer were our favorite. Very lively with fun people on a Friday night.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a cool place but they have some really weird rabies dog tag requirements . Considering the US national park service website states dogs make up 1% of rabid animals each year in the United States - this is definitely an unnecessary and ridiculous stretch of a requirement to bring your dog to get a drink. Go next door to Fischer brewing they won't require your dog to have a tag number and proof of vaccination for an essentially eliminated virus
google avatar

blake b.

Yelp
refused service for my 72 year old grandfather because he forgot his ID - I realize Utah state law is weird, but he's old and doesn't look a day under 60...

Yelp
I must start off by saying that those who are in the know, beer connoisseurs, homebrewers, and general beer enthusiasts, don't need to see this review to know that TF is the place to be for expertly crafted beers. Just do a quick google search and it will quickly become apparent that they have countless awards and high rankings from reputable beer judges. This is why on any given night, you will find brewers from other breweries frequenting this spot, and the fact that they don't have a really wide distribution area makes this place even more special. If you consider yourself a lagerhead turtle, then you definitely need to make the trip to TF Brewing. I have heard my german friend exclaim "This is the most authentic German beer I have had outside of Germany!". If that's not enough to convince you that TF is truly something special, the staff will and general vibe will take you there for sure. The staff are so friendly and so knowledgeable. They're willing to let you decide if you really know what you want but ready at a moment's notice to make a suggestion if you need one. They always have a smile on their face, even when they're slammed and aren't even a little bit pretentious even though TF has such a high reputation among beer nerds in Salt Lake. TF Brewing is simply the best at their craft in this area. The beer is consistent, every example is an amazing representation of it's category and they are constantly pursuing to better their craft. Have you ever been in their brewery area? If you've walked through the barrel room (which is frequently not open to the public due to private events or active brewing) you have. It seems unremarkable and that's because it feels like they don't actually brew there. I must assure you, they DO brew there. If you've been there on a brew night, it's very obvious that they brew there. It's just that they are so thorough with cleaning that it doesn't seem like they do! This attention to detail is why their beer is outstanding. The beer tastes clean and consistent because their brewing process is methodical and clean too. This description might make you think that they have a stick up their butt and they never experiment but this is not the case either! They have a pretty sizeable collection of sour beers and frequently do one off experimental brews. I must say sometimes these experiments are not my cup of tea but it's so good to see a brewery that's not afraid to experiment and usually I know at least one person that appreciates the experiment and is sad when they run out and don't make it anymore. TF Brewing is simply the best spot to be for beer. If you're a beer expert, you'll appreciate it, if you're new to beer, come here because why not start with the best? Some advice! Do not drive here if you can avoid it and definitely DO NOT park anywhere where there are tow signs. They WILL tow your car, especially at Trails across the street. If you are desperate for parking, find some street parking and walk a block or two, it beats not finding your car later.

Yelp
Awesome place to get a beer! They have a lot of space indoors and out for you and yours. Staff is efficient and friendly. They have some unique beers that are really good as well. Perfect for summer time.
google avatar

Lisa N.

Yelp
This place was super chill and we hung out for awhile before I need to be dropped off at the airport for my flight . Airport was real close I don't drink but everyone else enjoyed their beverages. They did have a ginger beer that was non alcoholic which was tasty but a bit sweeter than I would have preferred but was super grateful for the option. I sometimes feel left out if I only sit there drinking water . They have some snacks and one of them was a pickle tray! I love pickles and everything on it was fabulous !!
google avatar

Dynasty Y.

Yelp
We really enjoy T.F. Really great atmosphere. They've got a good glassware game. The menu changes and you can buy canned beer to go. They have rotating food trucks out front since they don't have many food options inside and you can bring it in your own food. They are dog friendly and I love that I can see some canine friends when I'm there since I do not have one of my own. We will gladly make a special trip down to visit and we stop in on a whim when we are in the area. It's usually busy but we have always found a couple of seats. I tried the POG seltzer and my husband ordered the Ferda Double IPA. The seltzer wasn't my jam it was to sour for my taste. The Ferda is delicious and is my husbands favorite. We also tried the Watermelon Gose and I took some home for my sister's birthday. It's a sour and she likes sours I do not.

Yelp
Best Beers in Salt lake City! My brother was visiting from out of town last weekend and I had the pleasure of taking him to the amazing T.F. Brewing. We endulged in some tastey libations including the "Helles lager" which has come to be my favorite beer here. All the staff is extremely helpful and vibrant, which paired well with the patio on Sunday which also offered live music. Will be coming back next time I get thirsty!
google avatar

Drew R.

Yelp
I've always heard about this place, but also always hesitated to go since they didn't really have much food selection. When I drink, I love to get snacks. Well I've came, I saw, and I will be coming back for more. Their beers here, amazing! Service here, amazing! Food choice, limited - but amazing! So happened when we went, they were doing their Oktoberfest celebration. It was such a chill environment where you can sit and drink. Everyone was having the time of their life, but also being socially safe. There was puppies everywhere. The beers were great. If you didn't know what to order, they would help you. We order some nuts, and I was shock with how much they gave us. They don't mess around with portion size. Love this place. Their outdoor seating is amazing.

Holly C.

Yelp
Delicious food: reubens and fish sticks! Burgers my friends ordered were great too! Great service and fun vibe!

Nazaneen P.

Yelp
Alright.. this place is pretty cool. Talk about a chill hangout where you can bring in your own food and enjoy it with their crazy good drink collection. Didn't bring food with you? Don't worry.. they have some little snack plates and a varying food truck that hangs outside the front door so you can get some! I enjoyed a Thai inspired food truck and it hit the spot! The outdoor hangout is one of the larger ones I've seen for a place like this.. fire pits, games, gravel, lots of seating, AND dogs are allowed :) Now tell me this isn't the perfect hangout spot!
google avatar

Andrea B.

Yelp
Amazing place. Full stop. Great place for a cool date, back patio or sit inside, and can see the tanks from your seat.
google avatar

Yelp
Cold beer..... Double IPA Beer Ferda Imperial IPA Great service and awesome selection on Beer and mixed drinks. Beautiful outdoor space, games and rotating food truck.
google avatar

Judith T.

Yelp
The staff here is so attentive and so amicable! We've been here twice; sat at the bar and outside and both times, regardless on how busy they are, they've been on top of it. We love the outside patio sitting area. Our favorites are the Tangelo Berliner Weisse and the Coconut Guava Berliner Weisse! If you love sours, these are it! Just the right amount of tart and sweet with mellow undertones. They also have board games and the music is top notch!
google avatar

Joe T.

Yelp
Beer tastes good and atmosphere is pleasant. I just wish they have more selection of draft tap beer. Service is quick and pleasant.

Yelp
If you want amazing beers then this is your place . Some of the best European style lager bier I've ever had .

Manny

Yelp
Fantastic beers, especially the German variants! Will come back here the next time I'm in SLC! Staff were very knowledgeable and take the time to explain their history and brewing process! The guys are passionate at what they do!
google avatar

Alvin L.

Yelp
Shout out to Alec for being and awesome beer tender to this ol' California boy. To be honest, everything is awesome on the menu. Personally the following beers were my favorite: Who's Berry - awesome ripe berries on the nose, reminding me of if Caprisun became a brew Wit's End- Chamomile forward, and having an excellent balance; smooth finish Dunkel - solid standard Dunkel with a slight floral note and amber-type quality Rauchbeer - Smokey beer of hickory, pair with BBQ or grilled veggies.

Joshua D.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and great beer! Decent pricing on many of their beers. Food truck out front was good as well.
google avatar

Joel F.

Yelp
Tasty brewery with one of the best (non barrel aged) stouts I've tried. Great beer selection Really friendly staff, and no wait times. Fun crowd. Could use another big screen in addition to the ones they have but I'm coming back here in a minute!
google avatar

Dylan R.

Yelp
An amazing nugget in SLC! I loved the inclusion of the Stammtisch (Locals Table) in the brewery! With how many awards their German style beers have won, it was also great to see all the side pulls to get that perfect pour on those beers. The bartenders were knowledgeable and made the selection process easy! Great little vibes in SLC, the grilled cheese food truck out front (didn't catch the name) was also amazing!

Yelp
Best beer in Utah hands down. Service is always on point. Everyone super friendly. From a CA native snobby IPA beer fan, their FERDA IPA is the best IPA in Utah...
