Definitely one of the best Asian fusion places in the city! The aubergines, silk egg and shrimp toast were amazing! And the dessert was delicious! Amazing service and friendly staff! Will definitely come back again :)

A fantastic early evening dinner at Tempo, a new local restaurant under the arches in Bethnal Green. Chef Eric Wan’s modern take on South Asian food, is an interesting mix of bold, well spiced and flavoursome sharing plates. It’s a small menu which gave the three of us the opportunity of ordering everything, so we did..! The prawn toast was a particular stand out and the madeleines some of the best I’ve had. Lovely, friendly and knowledgeable service, in a cool space with a great vibe made this a great experience. It’s encouraging to see the restaurant so busy on a wet Wednesday evening. As the menu will likely be changing regularly, we will be back to try it again, no doubt.

Seriously impressed. Layers and layers of incredible flavour - I was blown away. Service and atmosphere is also perfect, humble and authentic. I loved it all. One of the best new restaurants in London. Must haves: Braised aubergine & tofu, prawn toast and beef onglet.

Loved this place. I’ve been to Chef Eric’s residencies before so it was great to see a permanent restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Every dish was banging and full of flavour and the staff were lovely, fun and helpful. We came for dinner and between the two of us, we shared the silken egg (great), scallop (this was a special and deliciate but fresh), shrimp toast (so good with the green chilli), nem nuong (nice and tender), beef onglet (this surprised me in the best way - it was a salad but it full of flavour and the beef was so tender), ban hoi (great to mop up the sauce), BBQ XL prawns (lovely light, fresh flavour) and the honey butter madeleines (so good, I could have had another 5).

This is an absolute gem of a new opening in London! The menu is small but focused - every dish we had (most of the menu) was fantastic. Highlights for us were the braised aubergine with whipped tofu, silken tofu with roe, and the honey butter madeleines. They also have a lovely wine list by the glass and are very helpful with recommendations. I’m already looking forward to going back!

My favourite dining experience of 2025! Visited a couple of weeks ago, and it was amazing! Two of us dined here and sampled multiple menu items. Everything was divine. Full of delicate, yet delicious flavours. From the Braised aubergine(whipped tofu) to the Honey Butter Madeleines, you can tell the entire menu was well thought through The sommeliers (FOH staff) were both lovely, and knowledgeable about both the wine and food dishes. The wine selection was vast and of high quality. I myself sampled both of the non-alcoholic drinks (too), and they were also amazing. Such a hidden gem and will definitely be returning.

This was the perfect place to celebrate my partners 30th birthday. Everything was perfect. I have no notes. The shrimp toast was so good we had to order it twice. Only bad thing is that this restaurant isn’t in Helsinki so I could visit more often.

Dreamy place for foodies… let your palate indulge in some of the best food you’ll ever try. Bravo Eric :)
