"Ten Bells Tavern, while not exactly a restaurant, featured amazing food and its absence leaves a giant hole in the thread of Dallas hospitality culture." - Courtney E. Smith

The DFW Restaurant Whose Lawsuit Halted Pandemic Relief for Thousands of Businesses Has Already Received Nearly $200K in Aid | Eater Dallas

"The owner, Meri Dahlke, has had her Restaurant Revitalization Fund application held up by a federal injunction that halted the SBA’s prioritization process, leaving her waiting for assistance she says she needs to stay open. Expressing frustration on social media, she wrote, “Thanks guys… Really appreciate you holding up the money I need to keep my business afloat,” highlighting the uncertainty and financial strain caused by the rescinding of approvals and the unclear timeline for when funds might be processed." - Amy McCarthy

This tavern has the best food. I am talking actual gourmet quality meals in a tavern setting. This place is special. The people are friendly. the vibe is laid back, and the bartenders treat you like family. I am impressed by the welcoming environment and the consistent level of hospitality. Did I mention the food? I am speaking of chicken fried steak with real potatoes. All of their meals are made from scratch in their kitchen. I enjoy chilling on their large patio. This tavern has live music and DJs to entertain. The hometown team is always in season and you never have to miss the big game. I recommend 10 Bells Tavern for an enjoyable experience.

I really wish I could support this place because it’s so close, but I live right next door and the music from their outdoor patio carries late into the night. It’s not blasting, but it’s loud enough that I get woken up and have to sleep with headphones in most Saturday nights. I’ve filed multiple reports with the city and reached out to the restaurant directly, but unfortunately nothing has changed. I understand it’s a place of business, but I hope they can find a way to be more considerate of the neighbors nearby.

I have been here a few times for brunch and dinner and the food is really great. Brunch is fabulous, highly recommend the chicken fried steak. Service is good and they have a small parking lot on the side of the restaurant which makes things easy!

Best brunch around!! Get the country breakfast and you won’t be disappointed. Their burgers and Nachos are amazing! Jake and Don are some of the best bartenders, if your anywhere around the area, you have to stop by. The patio is also dog friendly which is always a plus!

I’ve been here twice and enjoyed both visits. The atmosphere is laid back. We sat on the patio and ordered from the bar. The waiter came out as he was able, but there weren’t dedicated servers. That being said, the service was good and friendly and the food was AMAZING! The Bangers and Mash are excellent. My fave was the Fish and Chips. Superb breading and great flavor. Highly recommend.

Yelp
So I came to play free bingo on a Thursday night and had a blast! They have a happy hour, and I squeezed in under the clock. Wasn't sure what I wanted so I told the guy what I usually drink and he poured me something he thought I would enjoy. I also ordered the chips and queso and I hate to say I'm a snob when it comes to queso but I am, and this is approved by me. It's not some watery cheese sauce, it's not from a can or a box, it's seasoned and tasted great with my beer. I didn't win at bingo but I had a great time. The brunch menu was calling my name so I'll have to come back and give it a go. All the staff are really nice. They do have a private lot, it's limited but it's there which is a HUGE plus for the area.

Yelp
I came in for a drink, I left with my faith in humanity restored. Tori isn't just a bartender--she's basically a caped crusader with a cocktail shaker. After expertly serving me what I can only describe as the best Old Fashioned this side of Kentucky, she casually clocked out and somehow ended up saving my cat's life. Picture this: Mr. Whiskers had managed to wedge himself in the most ridiculous position behind my couch (don't ask me how--he has the survival instincts of a breadstick). I was panicking, sweating, already Googling "tiny feline funeral arrangements." I was screaming and walked outside to see if there was someone walking down the street. Who shows up? Tori. (Lucky I live the next street over from the bar and she parked close to me house.) Still in her bartender shoes. With the reflexes of a ninja and the calm authority of someone who's broken up at least 17 bar fights. In under two minutes, she freed my cat, gave him a reassuring pat, and handed me a glass of water like I was the one who needed rescuing. Long story short: Tori didn't just pour me a drink, she poured hope back into my soul. If Yelp had an option for a sixth star, I'd give her all of them.

Yelp
Mixed review. It was very hot inside and you could smell strong kitchen exhaust inside the restaurant. The drinks were subpar - I think it is the mixers that they are using. The brunch food, however, was on point. Absolutely loved the crab cake Benedict. Hands down one of the best I have tasted. The other three in my party loved their food too! Country breakfast, chicken and waffles, and regular Benedict were fantastic. It would have been an easy 5 star experience if the non food issues are corrected. Tight parking - there is additional parking a few blocks away.

Yelp
Been here a few times, and decided to finally give it a review it deserves. Great drinks, quick service and very good food menu. This time I ordered a shiner Cheer because it's the season. And an order of wings which were very good. I've also gotten the bowl of shame before, which was also very good. Glad to have this gem in the neighborhood.

Yelp
So glad ten bells is back! Just came for brunch for the first time since they reopened and it was just as we remembered, food was amazing and for the price you just can't beat it. Staff is so friendly and atmosphere is super laid back.

Yelp
I don't know what was worse the food or the service. All the food that had been fried was dark brown, that happens when the oil is old and dark brown itself. The place smelled of oil, I had to wash my hair and shower to get the smell off me. The waitress was surly, never smiled and seemed pissed off she had to serve us - we were a large group. Never checked on us, or asked if we needed more drinks. My stomach has been churning since I got home, with the predictable bathroom trips.

Yelp
Wow I'm glad we did not pass this by....absolutely fantastic made from scratch food. We had chicken fried steak and the sliders. Fresh green beans real mashed potatoes...... The server was wonderful and extremely professional...can't recommend this enough.

Yelp
So glad it's back! We've been three times now and although we do enjoy it, it kind of leaves much to be desired. The food was GREAT! The service...eh. More experienced bartenders and not running out of Fernet may do the trick.

Yelp
Had the chicken mole today. It was really good! They season the rice and beans nicely. Check out the curry jalapeño pickled egg. It had marinated for a week Heather and Bob were great behind the bar and I'm a fan of the music. Give this place a go. Looking forward to trying their brunch!
