Whitney our Bartender was amazing! Her personality was amazing and pleasant! Whitney picked our food and each food selection was delicious! She was busy but attentive and confident in her craft ! We are from VA and this restaurant is a much stop In Billings Montana! Excellent service and listen the food was tasty! We are here here all Week and will be eating here daily! Oh my goodness she recommended me a drink - it was Oaxaca Fireside - fire 🔥 a must try !!

Ok, let me start by saying I have lived around the world, and as a public figure I have had “the best” of food and drink. My wife and I were passing through Billings and stopped to have a cocktail….which led to dinner, which led to friendship with the staff. My father who owned five star restaurants, made me a bit particular about food, presentation, and ambiance. Let me just say that Parker, the Chef, and Whitney, the bartender (who actually knew how to make a French 75) provided us such a great experience, we canceled our existing reservations and stayed to have an amazing dinner! This was by FAR the best dinner experience we have had in a very long time. We have traveled the world many times over and the quality and the friendliness and the experience blew us away! Keep in mind, I am a cook myself! WOW! Is all I can say….want a gem of a quaint restaurant? Go nowhere else…you are wasting your time. TEN is the place! Definitely coming back! Thank you Parker for your amazing talent and thank you Whitney for an enchanted cocktail…or two.

Stayed at the hotel and decided to dine here and we are so glad we did! The bar is beautiful and the service was great! We had oysters and the beef tenderloin. The cocktails were also delicious, we will definitely be back!

Google
Food was amazing, and service was top tier, felt very welcomed. Our waiter was very patient and explained everything to us since it was our first time. Menu for me was a bit small. Saw a different menu in here, so i was a little disappointed.A little pricy but for food like that, id pay for it again! Atmosphere was really elegant, clean and quiet. I had a one year old with me so i debated leaving since its kind of a more couples or group outing kinda place. Never the less, i really enjoyed my experience, would definitely recommend ! They also have a bar if you just want to sit down. We had the special of 10oz steak and 2 lobster tails with pasta for $160 i would give it a 9/10 pasta was good but not the best side, steak was cooked ti perfection with the mushrooms!! They were amazing, lovster did not disappoint and was nicely seasoned. We also had the scallops which were really yummy 8.5 would of liked mines with a little more sear but they were melt in your mouth good! We also had the bone marrow that was a 10/10 and the chocolate cake and ice cream for two which was outta this world! We also had the bread that came with olive oil and an herb butter tht was really good! Bread was so soft and seasoned. All in all everything was amazing!

Google
Our experience went pretty well. We just sat at the bar and ordered items from the bar menu. I will say that I do not like how there are 2 charteturie boards on the bar menu. One with the cheese and one with the meat. That is a hard decision, and I've never seen that. The meat board was pretty good, especially because of the olives. The olive spread on the meat board is pretty good as well. The foccasia bread is good, but it is a lot of bread. If you just get the meatballs (which are great), then they already come with a couple of pieces of foccasia bread. We also loved the carrots. I think more places should offer carrots as an appetizer when done right, and they are done right here. As far as cocktails, we recommend the smoked sage old fashioned and the Pimm’s Cup. Both are done very well here. We would definitely come back here for a nice dinner. 👌

Came here for an anniversary dinner and it exceeded expectations. Had a great time at the bar and in the lobby of the hotel by the fireplace that is attached to the dining area. The food was exceptional. Overall, a fabulous time. We will be back. I would recommend this hotel bar and restaurant for sure.

I've been a regular patron of Ten for several years, primarily for business dinners, and I can confidently say that the service I consistently receive is a significant part of why I keep returning. In particular, I want to express my sincere appreciation for Andrew, one of your exceptional waiters. His attentiveness is truly remarkable. He anticipates needs before they arise, ensuring that every aspect of the dining experience is seamless and enjoyable. What truly sets him apart, however, is his deep knowledge of your wine and drink selections. He offers informed recommendations with genuine enthusiasm, demonstrating a clear passion for his craft. It's clear he's not just reciting a script; he truly understands the nuances of each beverage and how it complements the menu. Beyond his expertise, Andrew possesses a rare personable quality. He creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making each visit feel special and personalized. He remembers details about our preferences and engages in genuine conversation, making us feel valued and respected. This level of service is invaluable, especially when hosting business clients. In a world where exceptional service is becoming increasingly rare, Andrew at Ten stands out as a true professional. He elevates the entire dining experience, making it memorable and enjoyable. He is a valuable asset to your establishment, and I hope his dedication and expertise are recognized and appreciated. I look forward to my next visit, knowing I'll be in excellent hands with Andrew.

I'm not sure why we haven't made it to TEN before, but we will definitely be back. From the cocktails, to the burrata, to the surf and turf special, every part of our night was tasty and we were well taken care of by the polite and professional staff. I recommend it to anyone visiting the area, or long time Billings residents looking for a nice date location. And make sure to try the Smoked Sage Old Fashioned, excellent!

Yelp
Best steak I have eaten in years! Under new management/chef since last year and now the best place to eat in the city. Highly underrated. I would put it up against Ruth Chris. Also the beef is locally sourced. Beautiful decor and excellent staff and service. Super friendly.

Yelp
Shout out to our server Whitney for making this a fantastic experience. Why are we not talking about the food and the atmosphere at Ten? Quite literally it's a 10 out of 10. This meal was top notch and the kind of dining experience where you feel like you have to unbutton your pants a little to be comfortable. I can't pick my favorite thing I ate tonight because it was all so good. Seriously, Don't skip this place. Let the hotel valet park your car and then go have a meal that is fit for royalty in a posh atmosphere. This is a great gem in downtown Billings.

Yelp
So good the fry's are to die these are from 2 of the wine dinners. Excellent drinks. I love the bar side but the ambience is very romantic on the dinner side. Service is always great.

Yelp
One of our favorite meals on our trip! Jasmine did a wonderful job taking care of us...very attentive and gave great recommendations. Hubby and I had Filets and they were prepared perfectly. MIL had scallops and said they were tasty. We ended our meal with some yummy Crème Brûlée. A nice meal with our family.

Yelp
It's 10pm in Billings Montana, and you want something good to eat, need a well made cocktail, and/or you're on a business account...TEN is where it's at. I've only visited the bar area, always staffed by friendly faces. The cocktails are great and affordable compared to my San Diego. Ambience is elegant, classy, romantic, and dare I say sexy? The crowd not so much... The $29 Steak Frites is perfection! The steak is tender and juicy, fries hot and crispy. I also had the $10 seasonal veggies, which was roasted veggies in a au gratin cheesy sauce, lovely! Not cheap, but worth the money! My pal ordered the $15 Brussel Sprouts, roasted divinely and seasoned to perfection, very shareable. My gal pal's $35 Chicken Mushroom pasta is amazing in a lovely bourbon cream sauce.

Yelp
Staying at the Northern Hotel, and it was thunderstorming out, so decided to have a drink at the TEN bar, then eat dinner there. FOOD: We had four specialty cocktails, and each was quite tasty. The wine list was remarkable, though pretty high end. The Caesar salads for two were okay, though not as flavorful as a good Caesar should be. Everyone very much enjoyed their entrees and desserts. SERVICE: Top notch service (tip of the hat to TJ), though with the dearth of customers that made it easy for him to give us plenty of attention. AMBIANCE: To all appearance, posh and upscale. Quite pleasant. The only off note was that the chairs in the bar (and, to a lesser degree, in the dining room) had very worn cushions, so that anyone in them ended up sitting low and on the wooden sides on their hips. VALUE: Quite upscale -- our cocktails ranged from $14-22. The wine list went from $50ish up to four digits. Our entries ranged from $40-67. Not sure what the market is like in Billings, but that seemed a bit on the high side by Denver standards, esp. for the food. We were there first thing on a Thursday evening, and the bar was well attended, though there were very few patrons in the dining room; the food and service deserve better, though the price points might be keeping people away. I will keep this on my list of possible dining places should my path bring me back to Billings.

Yelp
The food is great. Drink options diverse and original. Staff welcoming and friendly. This is one of always solid, always positive places that we visit when in Billings.

Yelp
So we went to celebrate our son and his wife they just moved to Billings and wanted a special night on the town. We were greeted warmly and got to even pick a nice table at the window. Our hostess was our server And she was the only server in the entire restaurant. We order the burrata appetizer and drinks the appetizer arrived before our drinks. We ordered the pasta special, buffalo short rib and the halibut along with a Caesar salad to share. The salad was boring for a steak house. No croutons very little parmigiana and a lack luster dressing most places this is the best salad ever. Our meals arrived and the pasta was the best dish. The short ribs were dry needed a sauce. The halibut was nicely done but the risotto was dry. We ordered dessert it was delicious but overall it just wasn't wow on any level for over $300 for 4 reasonably priced but lackluster. Menu online didn't match the in house.

Yelp
This is the best bar in Billings for cocktails. On Friday nights, Allison and Whitney are very friendly and make excellent drinks. The Oaxacan Fireside is my favorite, followed by the Smoked Sage Old Fashioned. The food top notch as well. The Pork Trio was amazing! That was the best pork chop I have ever had.

Yelp
Having decided to spend Thanksgiving in Billings, I decided to take my two grandsons for dinner at the famous "10 restaurant".....I would have been better served had we made a donation at the homeless shelter down the road! $75.00 for an adult, $25.00 for children, this is high dollar for a buffet and calling it a buffet is a stretch....very simple and basic appetizers and everything else was very low end. The "mashed potatoes", almost dislocated my shoulder trying to get this mess out of the warmer, had to be the thickest and heaviest mashed potatoes ever made by man! The turkey? It was as dry as a carcass of a dead lizard you find in the Sahara Desert. The prime rib was so rare and tasteless as it could be, and at $75.00 dollars you only get the meat at a very very rare....NO MEDIUM NO WELL DONE...just this horrible presentation on your plate! Disgusting! The pastries were similar of what you might find in the dumpster at the closing of the day at the local High School.....All of it was terrible. The best part of the entire miserable experience was when I told Allison that the food was frankly not up to any standard, her response was "try us when we are open with our regular menu, it is a lot different " " a lot difference than this". Another great comment was that the 'hotel had the entire staff working and the tip would be split amongst all of them'. Paying your staff at your hotel is not my problem and please dont get me wrong. I am a great tipper for great food and great service....a BUFFET? I served myself, sure the water pours, the Pepsi refills and my one cup of coffee was just fine, JUST NOT $35.00 DOLLAR FINE! I HAVE ASKED FOR A REFUND FOR ONE MEAL AND BEING CHARGED $35.00 FOR GETTING WATER AT MY TABLE AND A CUP OF COFFEE PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE

Yelp
I was very disappointed by how incredibly rude the bartender/server was throughout the entire experience. I will not be returning.

Yelp
Had a lovely dinner for two here two Saturdays ago. The steak was cooked medium rare to perfection. It is about time somebody in Montana knew how to prepare a steak with all the beef around here. The appetizer was the oysters and they were oysters! She likes them. The wine list was extensive and has many great choices. The server was Gene and he was great and very professional. The atmosphere was great for a date night with my better half. The place can be very spendy, but it was a great night just before the comedy show at the theatre. Nice to have a cool evening walk from place to place.

Yelp
This place simply does not miss. I am in time for work and staying at the northern hotel and the restaurant is attached to it. I have had the best, Bolognese, a ribeye, and a burger and everything was incredible. Absolutely delicious the bartenders and the staff were super nice. I cannot recommend this place and melt really really good. I am definitely coming back.

Yelp
We were in town for Mother's Day and brought mom here for brunch. She was a switchboard operator here at the Northern Hotel in the 1950's. This is the best brunch we have ever experienced. Everything is house made and delicious! Ambience is gorgeous and so relaxing. We wished we were locals to come more often. Thank you for such an enjoyable Mother's Day!

Yelp
Very good food and atmosphere. Incredible wine list. Nice quiet place for an intimate date.

Yelp
We were looking for a place for dinner and stopped in here since everywhere else was extremely busy. After waiting at the check in desk for nearly 5 minutes, one of the many employees in the area came over and told us there was only seating available in the bar due to a party coming in later. We sat at a table in the bar area and waited another 15 minutes but no one came so we ended up leaving. I understand that there are busy nights with events but not 1 staff member came through the bar area during our time there, and it seems like someone should be assigned there. I'll note too that the bar area was not even remotely full and I'm guessing it was because of the lack of service, others chose to leave as we did.

Yelp
I just checked in to the Northern Hotel and after leaving my bags in my room off I went to the TEN bar. It was almost closing time so I ordered an IPA beer on tap and sat down and relaxed after that long drive. The bar is dark and the seats at the table are comfortable. The price for the beer was very reasonable for a hotel bar.

Yelp
I rolled into Billings after driving 1500-ish miles from Indianapolis in 30 hours (yikes). I needed more than the gas station beef jerky, potato chips, and warm Redbull I'd been mindlessly snacking on. Luckily, TEN Is attached to the Northern Hotel where I decided to stay (amazing place). I called the kitchen because I didn't see what I wanted on the menu and they said they had a New York strip for me. It was absolutely delicious, although possibly only slightly off from the temperature I ordered. Maybe it was just carryover-cooking because I took too damn long to take a picture of it before I horked it down. Paired with the Koonunga Hill Australian Shiraz Cabernet, it really hit the spot. High fives to the kitchen, including my man Andrew who helped me get it ordered and delivered it for me. Awesome service to match the food. Keep rocking it, TEN! I would have given you 10 stars but, alas, I'm only allowed five.

Rose M.

Yelp
What on earth happened to this place? The beautiful million dollar lobby is now run down & very dirty. The Ten restaurant resembles your typical inexpensive truck stop restaurant. Unvacuumed carpets with large particles of food all over the place. Dirty & dusty tables & chairs. The employees are the same as what you expect @ your local fast food Arby's & McDonalds. The food is low quality similar to Pizza Hut buffet or the Golden Corral restaurant. Hot dishes were very cold & their meat & seafood dishes were the exact quality as the Golden Corral when they were in business. If the owners do not clean Ten up real soon & go back to serving gourmet food, their Ten restaurant will be history & closing down for good.

Yelp
This food was amazing. Staff was super awesome for our anniversary and birthdays. The card was an thoughtful touch. Beautiful place

Yelp
The ambiance is very relaxed, great place to eat and have a drink. Food was terrific had a rib steak, with amazing cheesy potatoes. Steak was cooked perfect. The bartender Andrew provided great service. I recommend all to come and eat, or at least have a drinks.

Yelp
My husband and I found this spot while taking a walk downtown. It was one of the few restaurants open. This was definitely a great find! The atmosphere and food was excellent! We ordered the crab cakes and grilled caesar salad with salmon. It was all delicious. The grilled salad was absolutely amazing! The salmon was cooked perfectly and we loved how there was a slight char on the romaine lettuce. We definitely recommend this place. It's great for a date night or dinner with friends.

Kyrie T.

Yelp
we came here for my friends birthday on February 27th, and our service took forever. for a fancy restaurant they really need to step up their game. our server was nice enough i guess but she made her other tables priority because of a show they were going to. we were ignored and our food took over an hour to come to us, on top of that it was about 10 minutes for us to be greeted. I work in the restaurant industry and i understand being busy, but that's really no excuse for our food to take this long. we had to get our food togo instead of staying because we no longer wanted to stay.
google avatar

Brianne Y.

Yelp
My husband and I always stay at the northern hotel when we're in Billings and eat at TEN because it's so convenient and tasty! TEN is very nice and the menu has recently changed and added some really good options. This is a great date night spot for a great glass of wine and yummy desserts. Our favorite waitress Natasha is always nice and service is awesome. I'm giving it 4 out of 5 only because the price is very high so be prepared to spend some money and also because it took some time for the menu to be updated with new items. Soups here are a hit and miss but everything else is very good
google avatar

Yelp
We have eaten here once before and it was alright. Decided to give it another try. Big mistake. Never again. Ordered a ribeye rare, and a ribeye medium rare. They came out 45 min later medium, and medium well. We sent them back, only to receive two more identical steaks. $10 add on shrimp were tiny and bland. The restaurant was NOT busy. There were 4 other tables and 2 servers. It took 15+ minutes for our server to check on us each time. No idea where she would go. Beers would take 15+ minutes as well and there were never more than 3 guests sitting at the bar. I don't know how this restaurant can stay open with prices like that and subpar food and service. The only positive was comping one steak. At that, our bill was still $77.
google avatar

Trevor R.

Yelp
The food is excellent. The steak was probably the best steak I've ever had at a restaurant, we also tried the soup of the moment which was excellent. Tried the scallops, Cobb Brussel sprouts and the cheesecake for dessert. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
I decided to eat here while staying at the Northern Hotel when I saw they served (what I assume is American raised) wagyu beef. There were quite a few other tempting dining options within walking distance but that was the deciding factor. Our waiter was Nikko and he was excellent. Everything was prompt, answered all of our questions, and made sure we had keto friendly alternative side dishes. We ordered two martinis and charcuterie to start. The martinis did not have olives, which seemed odd, but they were made as ordered. The charcuterie was delicious! My only criticism is that I really enjoy knowing what type of cheese or meats I'm being served, and even if the selection changes more often that can me noted on the menu, a note could be included or the waiter could explain the tray. We did ask and this was fine. For entrees we ordered the Wagyu PB Moss Strip and the Wagyu Filet Mignon, both were served with delicious grilled vegetables to replace the potatoes. Both were served after their signature salad. Everything was heavenly! The salads were a nice combination of textures and flavors. Both steaks were ordered and cooked medium rare, seasoned perfectly, and were worth every penny. The strip was incredibly flavorful, and the filet cut like butter. When the check came I was absolutely shocked! Not because it was too much, but because it was without a doubt the best meal I've had in that price range in the last few years. For the service and the ingredients it was completely worth it... and then some. So we passed the rest of what we thought it was worth along as a tip for a great waiter. If I pass through town again I will most certainly stop here again.

Yelp
At TEN, the food is beautifully articulated, truly a fine dining experience! The staff are friendly and attentive.

Yelp
10/10, drinks are tasty and stuff, food was delish and huge portions and staff is so friendly!!! Service was attentive and professional. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant and bar. Had a lively crowd and even live music (a classical guitarist one night and live band another) when we were there. Service was prompt and friendly. They have happy hour daily 4-6, with $1 off drinks, and appetizers on the lounge menu discounted to $10. My cousin had the flat iron steak, and it was really good. I already had dinner, but tried the MT Old Fashioned w/ their signature cinnamon cherries, and it was strong, but well made.

Rae D.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday night and the place was pretty empty and service was SLOW. Had to get up after being seated for 10 minutes to ask the bartender for waters. Tomahawk steak was poor quality and lacked flavor. Trout was the same. Way over priced for the quality of the food. Sorry guys, not worth the money. :/
google avatar

Kim H.

Yelp
WAY overpriced. I wasn't up for an octopus appetizer and why get a burger when burger dive is across the street. I wanted something small so I tried the $22 Cauliflower steak. Save your money. Go somewhere further from the "chic" Northern hotel. Stick with local small places and your gastro experience will be more enjoyable and tasty.

Susan D.

Yelp
Bad on me for not asking the price of the Port offerings. Bartender said she preferred the "little more expensive one" so I took her recommendation. Having just dined at Chico's five star restaurant and having their recommended $20 dollar glass, I was greatly surprised to get a bill for $80 for two glasses of very boring Port. I believe a good bar tender educates their guests and includes prices that are extreme, which I considered a $40 glass of wine to be. My fault for not asking prices, I know, but felt scammed at a bar I have been drinking at regularly for over 40 years.
google avatar

Sara H.

Yelp
You don't go here for dinner, you go here for an experience! We just tried out the new menu, it was all delicious, there is not another restaurant in Billings like it. My husband had the beet salad to start, wow, if you love beets its a must try. I had the bean soup, it was actually a much larger portion than I expected and it too was yummy. For dinner we both had the lamb, I'm not sure what kind of magic sauce was on it, but wow, I could bathe in it. For dessert we had the bread pudding, it was not what I was expecting but still quite yummy. Chef Tim and his team really has something special going on here, and I think only more amazing things will come from TEN. Oh and our service was lovely.
google avatar

Amber P.

Yelp
Overall it was a very nice dining experience. Our waiter was very sweet and attentive. There were not a lot of people in the restaurant, but we had a relatively early reservation of 6:45 p.m. The traffic started picking up towards the end of our dinner. The bar, however, was pretty full and a band was starting to set up as we left. We did have a cocktail in the bar both before our dinner and after. It has a great atmosphere. As for dinner, the menu is small, which is refreshing, but at the same time can be frustrating if you are a bit of a picky eater. Luckily I am not, but I do like a few more options than were available. In particular, all of the steak options were absolutely huge cuts and if I'm remembering correctly, not one option under $42, which, as a minimum price, is a little high for Billings. I went with the halibut option ($36) and my boyfriend had the roasted chicken ($20-something). He also started with the soup ($8), which was very good. We both enjoyed our meals and opted for two desserts to finish off the meal since we were out for a special occasion (and we had a gift card!). We had the seasonal crème brûlée, which was brandy apple and very tasty. We also had the cherry tart. It was the seasonal special dessert. The tart was very good, but was topped with a chocolate mousse that seemed out of place on this particular dessert. It was just a weird combination and unnecessary. Also, the mousse was overly chocolatey and just not our favorite, although honestly we're not big chocolate eaters. If I were to order it again, I would ask them to substitute with some whipped cream or perhaps some vanilla ice cream. I will say the French press coffee I had with dessert was excellent!

Yelp
For the bar. I went last night and there were a few people there. The bar tender was nice and apologetic when he told me they were out of Oban. (!). I thought how can you be out?!? Must carry enough back up. So I went with Glenfiddich, okay decent sub. Nice venue, decor. I guess only problem with ambience was it was a bit sedate which may be perfect for those looking for a quiet place to have a drink with a friend. I'll go back, maybe next time for dinner!
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! What an incredibly lovely dining experience. We stopped by TEN for drinks and dinner before the big Garth Brooks concert in June. While we didn't have a ton of time, our waiter, Thomas, ensured that we were able to have time for salads, drinks, dinner, and still make it out in time to get to the concert. Our waitress in the bar was outstanding as well. The food was incredible. Even the salads! Highly recommend the steaks. I have celiac disease and Thomas so helpful in identifying and altering the entree so I could enjoy it. Highly, highly recommend everyone eat there!
google avatar

Deb V.

Yelp
Took a client here for dinner. She ordered crab cake and salad. I ordered a very expensive halibut dish. It was so dry and overcome that even two lemons could not moisten it up. She said her crabcake was so greasy that she couldn't eat it. Even after bringing to the attention of the manager that we were dissatisfied there was no attempt to make it right. A hundred dollars down the drain.
google avatar

Yelp
Worst experience I have ever had. Sadly I'm shocked this place is still in business. If you love steak don't let them ruin it with the large amount of butter and salt... I was so sick after I thought u may have to go to the doctors. Save your money because it's way to exspesinve!!$$$$$

Yelp
We went there for dessert and it was beyond good. The atmosphere was nice, the service was exceptional, and did I mention dessert was out there delicious? Chocolate torte and cookie dough cheesecake...enough said!!

Yelp
Wonderful steakhouse to celebrate a wonderful anniversary with my wife. Classic steakhouse that might be a little more upscale than most Montana steakhouses, and the price reflects that. Great strip steak and wonderful maple brussel sprouts with confit potatoes was amazing

Yelp
A complete trainwreck. This place is becoming an embarrassment for downtown billings. Where is the management?? Are the owners aware? Look at the reviews here and elsewhere. You stand a fair chance of negligent service, waiting well over an hour for your food. Do not get a table if there are more than 2 or 3 tables already seated!! Even then it's going to be a little bit risky. Will not return anytime soon.

Tracy S.

Yelp
The food is sub par and extremely overpriced. The server was not interested in making our experience pleasant. We had a child with us, and there was not an option for children, except a burger and fries (mind you we ordered him 2 appetizers) but since he's 8 a $55.00 steak seemed a bit much, so they offered a burger as an adorable dinner option which was $17.00! He said "this meat is hard and dry" I tried it and he was right! (Smart kids. His mom is a cook, so he knows his food) we each took ONE bite of the risotto cake that came with our 1/2 thin salty bison filet and could barely swallow it..fried, dry mush. For 3 of us (2 adults and 1 child) our bill was $189.00 and our plates were barely touched. (The fries that came with the burger however were delicious!) The waitress took away our almost untouched plates and didn't comment. Oh and if you get a cosmopolitan, expect the glass to be 1/2 full. That's all

Yelp
I am kind of surprised to see some of the complaints about service. My wife and I were staying at the Northern Hotel and made reservations for dinner at Ten. The food, the service, the cocktail (huge thumbs up to the bartender, all were fantastic. I started with the Sage Advice cocktail with rye whiskey. My wife had the Kansas City strip steak and it was cooked exactly as she ordered, and may have been was probably the best steak I have ever eaten in a restaurant (yes, I borrowed her entree). It was that good. I had the Montana Trout and it was a great piece of fish. The best part of our meal was our server, Chris, who provided great service without ever intruding. My wife mentioned we were celebrating our 22nd Anniversary and Chris not only provided a complimentary slice of coconut cake for our dessert (the best!) but a hand written greeting card congratulating us on our Anniversary. The Northern Hotel was great, Ten was great, and so was the other restaurant there, Bernie's Diner. P.S. We miss BIllings!

Yelp
I hate to write these words: Such a disappointment. Unfortunately, my experience at Ten left so much of what is required for excellence somewhere else. Gorgeous restaurant, obviously expensive to operate. Walking in, looking around the space prepared me for a lovely experience. The hostess and waitress were both pleasant young women. I ordered an appetizer of chickpea cakes. Beautiful presentation, nicely browned, the cake was so dry it could be a hockey puck. The cakes rested in "basically a pesto with jalapeño" (waitress's words). I questioned her on the amount of "heat" (again her words) "medium". I enjoy Thai and Mexican dishes with heat. This pesto was ridiculously hot. Who are you cooking for?? I also had a slice of chocolate ganache cake. Again, beautiful presentation. Why would a restaurant with this reputation serve me a slice of cake that was just short of stale. Lisa, can't you do better than that? Management and chefs need to dine at Lilac, Fieldhouse and Enzo to see why you only had five guests in your establishment in an hour and a half. So disappointed to write both you and Walker's off the list of creative excellence.

Yelp
Nice space, waited at bar to be acknowledged for over 2 minutes so I am assuming understaffed because it was not busy. Nice space . I ended up leaving. This is fine dining in Montana. Service lacks.

Yelp
Great service!! Anthony was the best. Super helpful especially given this is my first time in Montana! They are known for their beef here but I was in a pork kinda mood so I ordered the pecan pork tenderloin which was one of Anthony's recommendations. Probably the best pork tenderloin I've ever had! Served medium with pecan crusting over truffle mash. The braised red cabbage was a bit too sweet for me but otherwise the dish was perfect! The pork was very tender and not dry like many pork dishes. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a nice sit down dinner in Montana!

Yelp
I am really disappointed. I booked reservations there for a business dinner. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. That's where it all fell apart. First, some of us sat for 10-15 minutes before we were asked for our drink orders. Then, we waited another 20 minutes for our drinks. Then another 20 before we were even told the specials. After the specials were given to us, the waitress walked away. Literally walked away before we could even get her our orders. When we finally DID place our order, we waited over an HOUR for our food. The reason? Apparently, they had a large party who just walked in with no reservation, and apparently, according to the waitress, the kitchen wasn't prepared for it. Excuse me? If you want to open a fine dining restaurant, you have to be prepared for situations like this. It's going to happen. I was told the kitchen was small and the orders had overwhelmed them. Huh? You don't have to be Gordon Ramsay to know that if you are going to do gourmet food, you have a large kitchen and more than one chef who can handle the capacity! When we finally got our food, my fish was lukewarm at best. One other person in our party had the same dish and his fish wasn't even cooked all the way through. While the staff was obviously upset at the way things were going in the kitchen, it could have been handled much better. They offered us free desserts, which was a nice gesture. But by the time we were finished with our dinner, we had been there for almost four hours. Most of them waiting for our salads, soups and entree's. Sorry. I really wanted to like you. Probably won't be coming back.

Yelp
I held a business dinner at TEN yesterday evening, and had a truly great experience. We had 14 people in the private dining room, and everyone had a wonderful time. Louis provided excellent service and was very attentive to the needs of everyone there. Chef Lisa prepared an extraordinary meal, with a dinner special just for us. All of the food orders were well plated and delicious. As a local business owner I know that there are relatively few places in town where you can have a great fine dining experience in a private dining room. TEN is definitely one of the best places to go!
