Ten One Tea House

Google
I would say this is a pretty standard boba place. They have a decent selection of teas. The boba was quite good—very sweet and had a caramel taste. My biggest gripe was the price; the medium drink came up to more than $7.50 and I really didn’t think that it was that special.

Karen L.

Google
Stopped by this tea house earlier this week, got their signature milk tea, and its chef’s kiss: creamy, perfectly balanced, and the texture was just right. The shop itself is so cute—bright, clean, and low-key cozy, whether you’re grabbing a drink to go or lingering for a minute. Staff was friendly and quick with my order too. If you’re around the area craving solid boba (or just a nice pick-me-up), don’t sleep on this place. 10/10 would recommend!

Google
Bright cute tea shop. Ordered grapefruit with the whole boba. Good balance of sweetness and tartness. 50% was plenty sweet. Very intense flavor. We ended up diluting it with water and it was good.

Google
A must-visit spot on Thayer Street!😀😀😀 Ten One Tea House is hands down one of the best bubble tea places in Rhode Island. The drinks are always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I tried the Brown Sugar Milk Tea with oat milk and it was perfectly balanced—not too sweet, and the boba had just the right chew. The staff are super friendly and patient, even when it's busy, and the space is clean and modern. They have tons of unique flavors you won’t find at other places. I always buy an extra drink to bring back to my office—it's that good! Highly recommend for anyone who loves high-quality tea and a chill vibe!

Jack K.

Google
Nobody makes it like ten one, its the best boba cafe around period. The crew is always super friendly and the environment contributes greatly towards enjoying a drink made with love and care. And its wheelchair accessible!

Kenji S.

Google
Tried couple drinks during these two weeks. Every drinks I purchase tasted fantastic, satisfied me specifically after a stressful day! All staff are super friendly, they introduce drinks well and able to answer any questions. Definitely will become loyal customers in the future!!

Google
I absolutely love Ten One Tea House in Providence! The place is super modern, clean, and beautifully decorated—it's such a relaxing spot to hang out. The staff is always friendly and quick to serve, which makes the experience even better. My favorite drink is the grapefruit green tea, and let me tell you, it's amazing! So refreshing and delicious, I can't recommend it enough. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area!

Google
Absolutely love Ten One Tea House! The brown sugar milk tea is definitely worth trying. Fast service and great vibes. Highly recommend!

Yelp
If you are an Asian kid, chances are you like boba teas and you will seek out boba tea houses wherever you go. My teenage daughter wanted to try the boba tea from this tea house and this was our first visit to Providence and our first blessing to this tea place. You'll need to place your orders on the two computer stands and there are some bar tables and chairs by the window which are not made for a petite lady like myself because I found my feet were dangling from the metal stool, but the chairs by the tables were fine. I was the only one above the age of 30 here, mostly a young crowd and that's what happens to all the immediate businesses here, catered to the Brunonians, you only see older folks at the beginning of a new school year when families accompany the new students.

Yelp
I had a chance to stop by this lovely boba shop yesterday with my roommate, and I truly enjoyed myself. I tried their popular mango slush with dragonfruit boba, trust me, it did NOT disappoint. I also ordered their croffle with the nutella spread. This was my first time trying a croffle and it's a brilliant culinary concept. It's been a few years since I've had boba, and would definitely recommend this shop to anyone who's looking for boba spot in College Hill. Also really appreciated that the boba was made fresh!

Yelp
Absolutely love this boba shop!! I'll gladly come here over anything else nearby. Service is quick and it's a nice, casual, popular spot. The brown super boba is soft and chewy and has a great flavor! You can tell it was made fresh. It's also great that they have a lactose free milk option Tieguanyin Milk Tea 5/5 This one is my absolute favorite. I love the slightly nutty flavor in this tea. I'll gladly get this one over and over Lavender Milk Tea 4/5 Also really good! I found out lavender isn't my favorite but it feels like a preference thing here. Osmanthus Pineapple Green Tea 5/5 This was a great twist on a classic. I'd never seen pineapple bits be put in a drink but this was pleasant and refreshing Osmanthus Milk Tea 5/5 Also fantastic and is a solid milk tea. There are other flavors but this was still solid and great.

Yelp
I recently came back to Ten One Tea House to celebrate TEN ONE day. This year, their special was buy one, get one free and the option to purchase a tote bag for $10.1 instead of $22. I got to the Providence location on Thayer Street a few minutes after 12:00pm (opening) and a line already formed at the 2 order kiosks. I ordered my go to which is the Osmanthus Milk Tea and ordered Osmanthus Pineapple Green Tea for my husband. The BOGO promo was applied. I really enjoy Ten One Tea House for their handcrafted beverages and simple, pure, and high-quality ingredients. Definitely check them out if you haven't done so before.

Yelp
Great tasting boba I ordered the Valentine special Strawberry Milk tea. Very delicious and fast service, the sitting area as small but cute. Definitely will come back.
google avatar

Yueh Qi C.

Yelp
Ten one is by far my fav boba place! Tea flavor and sweetness are just nice. So glad to see it while visiting Providence.

Albert H.

Yelp
Boba is cooked to near perfection (8.5/10). Only complaint is that it's slightly too soft. The boba was chewy - not too soft to the point of tasting like paste, not too hard to the point of eating rocks. Texture and taste kinda similar to boba from OneZo. There were several boba flavors available: brown sugar, honey, and blue. This is the first time i've seen a "blue" flavor at a boba shop. Pretty unique experience. The "blue" boba tasted just like the honey boba though, so it's mainly an aesthetic option. Tea is on the sweeter side, so I recommend getting 50% sweetness or less.
google avatar

Ludovica F.

Yelp
Their bubble tea is hands down the best one in PVD! I have tried many of their flavors and I have never been disappointed! My personal favorite is always taro, but the mango slushy was also amazing!! They're also very fast in person and will deliver just as quickly! Highly recommend it!

Yelp
Like okay it wasn't great. The brown sugar milk tea was a little murky. The lemon peach one was good albeit quite sweet.
google avatar

Gianna S.

Yelp
I am usually happy when I come across a Ten One location because they often have unique flavor combinations and a wider variety to choose from than most shops. This location is literally only a block from Brown's campus. I got the grapefruit green tea with the white honey boba. I asked for the brown sugar boba but was told that they can only put the white honey boba in the green teas which seemed odd. I'm not sure why I could not add any boba flavor into any type of iced tea base? I also could not adjust the ice level, only the sugar level. The grapefruit green tea was tart and refreshing, but the honey boba had very little taste. The prices here were VERY expensive. A medium green tea was $5.95 plus $1 for boba so after tax it was $7.51 and the medium size was definitely closer to a small drink size, especially after accounting for the ice. The biggest reason I detracted stars was because from where I was standing at the pickup counter waiting for my drink it looked like one of the workers took a sip of a drink that was slightly too full, rather than spooning or dumping it in the sink, before placing it in the machine that seals the plastic over the top. Maybe this drink was for herself if she was going on break, but if this was a customer drink that is not sanitary at all.
google avatar

Aretha Z.

Yelp
The tea shop is conveniently located on Thayer St. There are options for milk tea, tea, and fruit tea. There are also options to adjust ice and sweetness level. The peach lemon oolong tea was good. However, the tapioca was not very consistent--some tapioca pearls in my tea were hard/stale, while others were soft.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
3 years later and my friend took us back to Ten One on our most recent visit to Providence. Tea still slaps. I do think their definition of less ice, isn't quite as less as I expected or get from other places, but that's fine. Prices are fair and the tea is honestly just better than Vivi's or others on the same stretch of street.
google avatar

Marie R.

Yelp
I got the grapefruit green tea with dragonfruit boba. It was a little bit more tart than I had expected but the good thing is it tasted healthy! One of the things I would change is I wouldn't get the dragonfruit boba next time since I didn't really like the texture. It's not as chewy as your typical boba. It's a little bit too hard to be like jelly either. So I don't know where to place the texture. The flavor wasn't that great either. I'll give this place another try next time I'm in the area.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Ok I loved this!!! It was such a unique drink and this is coming from someone in LA so we have lots of good drinks. Highly recommend this shop in this little town!
google avatar

Hanna H.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in here! Quick, friendly service, with some seating if you would like to stay here for a bit. I often find that for the specific drink I ordered, Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, it often comes too sweet, the boba isn't as chewy as I would like, or the tea flavor itself is not strong enough at other boba shops. However, to my surprise, it was really good here! Boba tapioca texture was just chewy enough and did not entirely melt in my mouth, not too much ice, not too too sweet, and had a strong enough tea flavor that complemented the brown sugar syrup. Will definitely be returning next time
google avatar

Mrs B.

Yelp
Always a good experience. They have a good variety of flavors, every time it has been fresh and they never mess up my half sugar orders. Our party usually has a brown sugar boba milk tea, a fruity tea and a floral tea. All seem to be very good and everyone enjoys.
google avatar

Julia S.

Yelp
After being away from Providence for a while, I stepped in to try out this new tea shop - excited to see how it compared to Vivi's and KFT. I had their grapefruit tea and while it took a while to make, it was refreshing and light. I didn't add any add-ins. Given that you order on machines, this place is nice for when you don't want to interact much with staff!
google avatar

Yelp
I didn't expect to find such a high quality boba place in Rhode Island but here we are! I stopped by Ten One Teahouse as I passed through to visit a friend at Brown and decided to get the Mango Slush with White Boba as well as the Ten One Milk Tea. The Mango Slush was very creamy, with a perfect balance between having the mango flavor shine without tasting artificial. The boba was freshly made and had the same texture as regular boba. As for the Ten One Milk Tea, the tea flavor really shines through, which is often masked in most milk tea. Service here was impeccable and the store seemed like a perfect spot to meet up with friends or just study. Can't wait to come back again whenever I'm in Providence!

Yelp
Really interesting new Tea House on Thayer street in Providence. We were there for RISD parents weekend and were walking back from dinner, when we decided to give this spot a try. We were actually drawn in by an ad they had outside for a peach tea with fresh peaches, but sadly they were out. So...instead we ended up with a matcha latte and a lemon tea. We also added an adorable tiny pistachio dessert that was tasty, kind of like small balls of pistachio flavored buttercream icing. Overall, definitely recommend!
google avatar

Levi M.

Yelp
drinks are decent, however not the best boba on thayer street. vibes inside are very good. service is literally the best and so so kind. unfortunately again not the best boba on thayer
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Love the concept--it was my first time in one of these, as I've learned it is a chain. It was a smidge annoying as a first time customer to have someone at a register redirect me to a kiosk with 3 slow and indecisive people taking seemingly forever to go through the 100 questions on the screen. If there was at least another kiosk, or someone to help as a first timer, that would have improved the experience. At least the drinks were made pretty quickly. And once we left, I feel like every other person on the street had a Ten One Tea House cup dangling off of a straw. Enjoyed the drink, and was a bit overwhelmed by all the choices, tbh. Wish we had this in the midwest.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place! We ordered 2 drinks, the Mango Slush and the Rose Yakult Slush. There were 2 people in front us who ordered, but it still took 20 minutes to get our drinks. I noticed that they only have 1 blender at the store, so maybe that's why it was slow to get our drinks. The lady making the drinks was also measuring the drinks and ingredients slowly, seeming unsure about the recipe. They were very apologetic about the wait, and I understand that it's still a new place. The drinks both tasted delicious but I was very disappointed because instead of the drinks being "icy" like a slushee, the ice was not blended all the way through. So it was mostly the drink with chunks of ice. I would love to try this place again in the future--maybe when they're a bit more organized. *I also noticed the review before mine stating the location of the toppings. I agree that this was concerning as well, which is why I didnt order any toppings like I usually do. It would be great if they could move them to the back, where customers aren't in front of the toppings and can potentially contaminate them.

Yelp
Ten one Tea House is refreshing. The drinks are so unique. High quality. Friendly service! Efficient service.
google avatar

Winston W.

Yelp
Best bubble tea in the area! You can't beat it. Try their seasonal flavors when you can, hate that I only have a limited time when I fall in love with a specific special flavor. Cinnamon was so good, can't wait for the spring and summer flavors!
google avatar

Michele M.

Yelp
Love this place. The teas are super refreshing and light. I recommend wearing a mask when entering this store
google avatar

Elaine P.

Yelp
Avid bubble tea fan and really liked the excellent service, cleanliness and perfect measurement of ingredients used for bubble tea and slushy bought today. Ignore other reviews as the toppings containers not only have a plexiglass partition but also lids for each different kind of topping. The workers wear masks and gloves. The whole place is immaculately clean with social distancing signs on the floor. The bar stool were removed so customers do not linger inside. I'm glad and relieved they understand and adhere to CDC recommendations during COVID pandemic. This place does not disappoint! Will certainly come back once we're in the area! Thank You for an excellent experience TEN ONE!
google avatar

Lauren K.

Yelp
The tapioca pearls are probably the best tapioca pearls I have ever had. The boba was chewy and tasted authentic! I ordered the chocolate milk tea. There are two issue I had through. First, the boba was super expensive! I paid seven dollars for one drink, and my friend said she paid around the same. I don't know if that is cheap to some people, but I know it's not normal. Secondly, this tea place does not allow you to adjust the drink too much. Adjustments like sugar and non caffeinated options were not available on the day I went. Despite the high prices and the lack of changing the drink itself, the tapioca pearls were the best I've ever had! With everything in mind, I would come here again!
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
I liked this small boba shop. The brown sugar milk tea I ordered wasn't too sweet even though there are options to customize the sweetness level. I definitely tasted the tea. The whole shop had a cute aesthetic, right down to the cups. The drinks are standard, $5 - $6. Another thing I also liked was how they have different walls to take photos. Would definitely try their fruit teas or slushes. The staff was also really nice and service was fast.
google avatar

Jamie D.

Yelp
I got their milk tea with less ice and sugar and brown sugar boba. The boba was bad like the worst boba I have eaten. It was tasted really sticky and harden really quickly. The texture was off and it was drenched in syrup. It was another $1 for the boba (most expensive cost for boba add on I have ever seen), so the disappointment was real. The milk tea was alright and had solid tea taste in the beginning. I think the boba really threw off the overall taste. I don't think this is a good combination because at some point the milk tea started tasting minty and I'm not sure if it's because of the milk tea or the boba. I'm not sure if I will be back to retry something else, but it was unfortunate that the drink didn't taste good.

Anh N.

Yelp
Got the worst experience today. Asked the worker about matcha slush. Wanted to order THAT drink but the worker pointed me to the self-service kiosk because they don't accept cash today. That's fine. I waited 20 minutes for my order. When I asked the worker, she said my order was cancelled because they don't have the drink I want and it will be refunded. I did not receive any message from the store's self-service thing. NO APOLOGY from the worker. Most importantly, why don't you just tell me in the first place that this drink is not available today when I asked so none of this would happen? Tried this since kung fu tea closed on thanksgiving. My first and last time!
google avatar

Jamie A.

Yelp
I've been back since the opening, and this place grew on me. The options are now new with no contact ordering, a kiosk is available~ I loved the options! Different flavors and toppings! The apple milk tea taste amazing~
google avatar

Karoline A.

Yelp
A Nice convenient location for tea. We were greeted and served immediately. Basic decor but clean and comfortable dining area. I believe I got a 2 different types of teas and they were both delicious.
google avatar

Alissa D.

Yelp
My husband wanted a tea from here so we stopped in. The place is small but they offer a variety of tea beverages. He opted for the pineapple tea one and really enjoyed it. Service was slow considering it wasn't busy. They do have a bathroom if you are a paying customer too.
google avatar

Sandy H.

Yelp
Tried the lavender milk tea w/ whole milk & Boba and the orange green tea with aloe. The milk tea was flavorful and boba was fresh and very good. Bf loved the orange green tea and just what he needed for an energy pick me up. First time trying, had different tea options if you want to try anything different and adventurous than Kung fu tea. Customer service was a little eh, they made the drinks in a timely manner but rushed us 3 times to order when we looked at the menu for 5 seconds. Maybe an off day.
google avatar

Janet Q.

Yelp
Delicious and high quality tea drinks. You can tell that they use good ingredients. The lavender forest is very fragrant and refreshing! Decent variety of flavors and drink types (boba, classic teas, slushies, blends). I'd consider bumping down a half star if you're mostly eyeing the slushies; the mango slushy is a good balance of sweetness, but the ice is not blended very well so you get small chunks with each sip. I got delivery so I can't comment on the wait time in store, but i thought it got here in a reasonable amount of time.
google avatar

Una D.

Yelp
This is a very busy place on the east side of Providence. I was here in the area for an event and I wanted to take a break and have some bubble tea. I ended up getting one of their lavender bubble tea with the coconut jelly and tapioca bubbles. The tea itself was good however I was very irritated by the service. Aside from the mask issue being a police mandate now, the line is very slow to move and the spacing inside is quite limited so it's not really a place you can lounge at. The price is also a bit hefty given the quality of the food and service. I'm not sure I would come back again but I'm glad I gave it a shot.

D L.

Yelp
Decent drinks but overpriced even before adding toppings. They're also often out of many boba options
google avatar

Beau S.

Yelp
My new favorite spot. Sovanny welcomed me as I entered the door and helped me pick out my new favorite drink: matcha latte. Great vibes here would definitely recommend coming.

Joy L.

Yelp
Unfortunately The tea is very watered down. Wouldn't recommend this spot. It is decently priced tho.
google avatar

Larii L.

Yelp
The tea is delicious, but they are SOOOOO SLOW! Like "dont come here on your work break" slow. Also "i wish they had chairs" slow, "you'll be late to class" slow. Would've other wise given 5 stars for flavor.
google avatar

Elly W.

Yelp
A friend told us a new bubble tea shop opened so we definitely wanted to try it. We ordered milk tea, earl grey milk tea and grapefruit green tea. We were very disappointed that they ran out of brown sugar boba so we settled for the white boba (honey). The milk tea flavor is not bad but the white boba did not go well with it. Though the boba has a nice chew but doesn't compliment the milk tea. The earl grey with no sugar did not have much earl grey flavor, mostly I taste milk. If they had the brown sugar boba, I think they would help with the flavor. We have yet to try the grapefruit but would update my review later. Hopefully next time they have the brown sugar boba else it will be a pass for ordering any drinks. Also I think they need more selection on toppings, like where is my grass jelly?! Update: drinking the grapefruit now. It has a good grapefruit taste but you don't quite taste the green tea whereas other bbt places you do. The dragon fruit boba is not bad. Good chew and not too sweet.

Yelp
Was so excited to try out this new boba place on Thayer st and I loved it!! Keep in mind that they don't have a huge array of different menu items like Vivi's but as someone who is indecisive I found their menu size & offerings to be perfect. Very friendly staff who answered all of my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly and helped me decide upon a drink! The grapefruit green tea is amazing and perfect for a refreshing drink that is not too sweet and has a nice tangy flavor.
google avatar

Amber M.

Yelp
Fourth boba place on Thayer. Ten One offers a streamlined menu, without too many frills, mostly tea and some juices. Ordered the basic milk tea with boba. Good, tea could have been stronger. With the boba and lactose free milk, it was a whopping $6.58 with tax. I would come back and try
google avatar

Lily L.

Yelp
I'm so happy this place opened in providence! I am obsessed with cheese foam and it pairs perfectly with the rose alpine oolong. Will definitely be visiting often
google avatar

Gary M.

Yelp
Ten One continues to improve. While other Boba Tea Houses on Thayer have the same menu from when opening, Ten one has now added hot teas with it without milk and matcha! Plus they now offer this amazing home tea kit. The staff is very friendly - and it's obvious how hard they are working to insure you have the perfect drink. I stop in a couple times each week with Rose Milk tea being my favorite

R S.

Yelp
Been a big fan of Ten One Tea House for a while. I really enjoy their drinks, especially the Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea. One thing I wanted to point out is because the cup-sealer often breaks (at least the times I've been there), we are given substitute containers that are smaller. Here in the picture, I was served a cup that was significantly smaller than the usual and I have also been served in a smaller to-go paper cup before. Cups aside, I love this place but please keep the container consistent!
google avatar

Preeti N.

Yelp
Very good boba I thought it was a good chewiness! However, I got the rose roselle tea and it was too sweet for my liking and a little syrupy. My friend got the Yakult green tea and really liked it though, so it was probably just that I didn't like that one drink. They also had a buy one get one free drink promo going on, so I will definitely go back to try more flavors!
google avatar

Trystan C.

Yelp
Both the Ten One Milk Tea and the brown sugar milk tea were so watered down that I thought I was drinking water. 9 out of 10 times I would drink anything else but water but if I had to choose between a drink from Ten One or water, I would gladly drown in water.
google avatar

Aristides P.

Yelp
this place sucks. the staff are also annoyingly mindless and won't take any requests beyond following the exact 3 step pictogram recipes they were given by management. Better off of going to vivi's and even Kung Fu Tea, they're both literally 100ft away
