Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles - Review - Elmhurst - New York - The Infatuation

"At the Elmhurst location of this chain, which specializes in "crossing bridge" noodle soup from Yunnan, you'll find soups starting at around $11. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

I've been having their rice noodle for some years, from Philadelphia to NYC. It used to be one of my favorite restaurants. The rice noodle served nicely in a big bowl with the ingredients on the sides. Here, all ingredients mashed in a small plastic bow. And, the black plastic bowl can release super toxic chemicals when it heated. Guess what? The noodle soup was extremely hot. I dined in but my food was served in a takeout container. I can't believe how business owners make money now by harming people's health. The taste of the food was also not great. I would definitely NOT come back for the food.

I had a great experience at Yunnan Rice Noodle! The food was fresh, flavorful, and very authentic. The rice noodles had the perfect texture, and the broth was rich without being too heavy. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick. The place is also clean and comfortable, which makes the whole dining experience even better. Definitely one of the best spots if you’re craving delicious noodles. I’ll be coming back for sure!

The noodles were really good! The soup had a nice tomato flavor — rich, warm, and a little tangy. The noodles were soft and chewy, just right, and the beef and veggies made the bowl feel fresh and filling. I also liked the black mushrooms, they gave it a nice texture. The portion was big, and having it with a Sprite made the meal even better. Overall, it was tasty, comforting, and I’d definitely come back again.

I ordered fried buns for takeout, but when I got home, I noticed that the container lid had a crack. There’s no way it broke on the way back because there were no plastic fragments inside. Who knows what might have gotten into the food while the lid was broken. Even though the food still looks okay, I definitely won’t be eating it. I just hope others can be aware of this kind of issue too.

I tried the Nanchang mixed rice noodles and absolutely loved them! The peanuts and pig’s ear were a perfect touch, and the texture of the noodles was just right. If you can handle spicy food, I highly recommend asking for extra chili!
