Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles

Just went for the first time and very pleasant experience. I went by myself and was seated immediately. Sunday night and it was decently busy, but not crowded or overwhelming. I ordered the sour spicy chicken rice noodle soup and it came to the table in like 5 minutes. Also got the cucumber salad. Both very tasty and good portions. Perfect for a cold dreary night. Casual atmosphere, very clean and nice. Good for a date night, a larger group, or a little solo dinner experience like I had. Highly recommend.

The food is always excellent. The interior is modern and clean. The skewers are perfectly grilled—not tough at all—and the seasoning is amazing. The Yunnan-style noodle soup is right on spot, incredibly addictive. I heard they were closed for three months, but thankfully they’re open again. I’m so happy I can come back. I’m already full, but I’m excited to eat the leftovers tomorrow.

A very good noodles shop in the area. There are plenty of soup bases available for your preference. I had the Sichuan style one and it's very good. The soup is very temperature hot and that's what a noodle soup supposed to be. The MSG level is not as strong as I initially expected, which is good.

This place is so good!! I’ve been here twice and the noodles have been top tier both times. I really like the tomato broth and all the toppings, especially the crunch of the cabbage. I recommend the pork as the protein. Overall a great and authentic experience.

EXCELLENT Authentic Chinese cuisine! We stopped here on our way back from Disney. I've gotten the flu, and this made me feel so much better. Wonderful complex flavors. Huge portion! Not Americanized - thank you! Friendly service. I miss it already.

We were SO happy to find this place!!! Everything was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend getting extra quail eggs in your soup, only $2 for 3 eggs! We tried 3 appetizers: the takoyaki, the crispy durian, & the Japanese shu mai. All were delicious! The soups were wholesome, healthy, & filling. 11/10 experience

Stellar find! Fantastic tasting soups. We tried the Szechuan(Sichuan) pepper chicken and spicy sliced beef and both were pretty darn authentic. Not as much huajiao and mala as visiting Chengdu, but the taste is fantastic.

The food was delicious, the service was exceptionally fast, and the atmosphere was nice. They might want to take a look at their TVs once in a while though.

Super good noodle place! This place is like if ramen and hot pot had a child. I got the tomato soup base with beef. The noodles were a good texture and they were soft and chewy, but I do wish they gave more meat and other toppings. The portion size was pretty good, but the dish was mainly noodles. The place was really busy when I went, but the waitress was super nice and accommodating to get us seated and take our orders. The food did not take that long to come out.

I can definitely see this as an up and coming noodle spot. Everything came out quick and hot. The sesame ball and rice cakes were delicious and we also enjoyed the crispy pork as starters. We tried two different noodles, the mushroom and a spicy one which was yummy. The only issue we ran into were multiple errors with our order. At first, one of our orders was forgotten and then the mushroom noodle lacked the chicken that we ordered and we found out the waitress didn't put in the correct order. The service was nice but I feel like it would have been better if they double checked with us before walking away. Overall an easy fix.

Great food, service. Quickest service I have ever seen. Maybe not in 10 seconds but not much more. Located near the Williston Road Publix.

I was out and about, having finished work but needing to go to a meeting in the evening, and needed a bite to eat on the South side of town. I hadn't been in the Williston Plaza in a while, so I took a drive down "the strip" to see what had changed. I knew that the wings place was gone, and Hogan's was long gone, but didn't know what had come in to take their places, if anything. I sort of remembered that a restaurant had gone in on the South end of the plaza, and had walked in once a number of years ago, but had never eaten there... This was my chance. Walking in, I found a pretty conventional Chinese restaurant layout, with a larger than normal foyer for handling people waiting for takeout orders, and then regular seating beyond that. The decor is just what you would expect in a Chinese restaurant situated in a strip mall. I was seated at a nice table (I prefer tables over booths) and got my water order in, then started looking at the menu. Going through the menu, I found that there were a number of dishes listed that I had not seen before, so that was promising. The menu is laden with soup dishes, since they are a noodle house and not a full-on Chinese restaurant (this is a good thing... too much variety in the menu flattens the quality). I went for an order of spring rolls and a spicy chicken soup. The spring rolls were excellent, just like I wanted, and the soup had an interesting flavor that was good. There were a lot of spices in the soup, some of which did not integrate solidly with the soup and basically sank to the bottom of the bowl, which is a bit of a problem. The flavor is there, but if those ground spices could have either been ground finer or filtered out the soup would have been much better. Large chunks of coriander seed are just not a fun thing to have at the bottom of your soup bowl. All in all I was satisfied with the food, and I do plan on going back at some point.

Excellent Food & Service! Server listened to our taste preferences and provided suggestions to match. The food came quickly, was hot, and tasted amazing! When we were ready to leave, the server even took our leftovers and put them in to go boxes for us! We then ordered food to go and it was thoughtfully prepared, separating the noodles from the soup so the integrity of the texture of the noodles remained in tact until ready to consume! Wonderful visit!!! Thank you!!

Always great at this location. The food is great, comes out piping hot and delicious, service is quick and reliable, and the interior of the restaurant is always lively. The szechuan sliced pepper beef is my go to, a perfect balance of numbing spice and flavor, but you really can't go wrong with any of the noodle dishes here. Would highly recommend to everyone - but remember they're closed on Tuesdays!

Had really high hopes for this spot, I really did. The location, the cleanliness, the service were spot on. However, the entree I ordered just lacked taste and flavor. I have only been here once, so if I went back and tried something else, I may have a completely different experienced. As I said before, location is very convenient and the dining room was spotless. A server greeted me when I walked in and I was able to order fairly quickly. Then my least favorite parts followed, Black Vinegar Fungus - I love the flavor of black vinegar, but the mushrooms had a rubbery texture. The flavor was great, but the texture off putting. Original Chicken Rice Noodles - I really love rice noodles, you can put almost anything with rice noodles and I'll be happy. However, this dish had perch no flavor. If my waitress ever came back to check on me, it's going to ask for more water and to see if they had any spices that I could use to bring out the flavor it just was very bland, but it was well cooked and a lot of good things mixed inside. If I lived closer, I would wait to do a review after I've been back and tried another dish or two. Unfortunately, I don't and the next time I'll be in that area. There's gonna be several months from now. And then I will want to try new.

Overall: came here because I was craving noodles. It was good but the dish that I ordered ended up having not meat in it but pork. I def don't eat pork. Ambiance: It's cute and spacious. I came after work and it was not busy. There was just one other person besides myself. There is plenty of parking. Service: They were really nice and quick to seat and serve. Food: I got the Spicy Noodle Soup. The menu description didn't contain meat so I thought it was safe. Unfortunately, when I got to the bottom of the bowl...it looked like pieces of ham or spam. Very disappointed. I def do not eat pork and I threw up when I went home

Meh. Just ok. I had high hopes for this meal, having been wanting to try it for a while. The prices were exorbitant for their dishes. Ok. I moved past that. If you ever read any of my other reviews, you'll notice that I have NEVER before talked about pricing, because I feel like restaurants can charge whatever they wish, and you can decide whether or not to go. This place was just blah on the inside. But... the food is what earned this restaurant my poor review. It just wasn't good. The dumplings were GREASY and bland. The spring rolls were equally disappointing. The flavor was just meh. I had the fried rice. Not the best. I kept searching for something that would explain other peoples experiences. They eluded me.

Well presented restaurant in Gainesville. It is about 4.5 stars. Yunnan cross bridge noodles is something that lack of represented in Florida. I am glad Gainesville have them. The ten second noodle was very good in the broth, selections of the mixed in, and choice of protein. I like the soup base. The original soup base is one of the recommended selections. I got beef flank rice noodle. The mixed in has the fish cake and more. We also got the kimchi beef rice noodles. This is their special serving and creative soup base. It is a bit sour but good. Overall service is very attentive. It is definitely a good local restaurant to stay.

We are very fortunate to have a Yunnan style noodle shop in Gainesville--it would be something of a rarity even in Tampa or Orlando. As others have noted in their own reviews, this restaurant is already very popular with local Chinese and other East Asian folks: it is authentic and its dishes will be quite different from most in Chinese-American cuisine, since this is a regional Chinese cuisine. I had the Sichuan chicken noodle soup. It was flavored with green Sichuan peppers so a bit spicy but not too much and contained a generous amount of chicken plus ample noodles. These rice noodles are very delicate in flavor but some of broth soups in contrast are quite robust. I also ordered the smashed cucumber side salad. Now, I make a variant of this same type of salad at home myself, and I did like how it was made here, though with less garlic than I would use. Be careful: the bowls of soup are pipping hot! I would not even leave the plastic spoon or chopsticks laying in it when it is first served! That said, this is delicious food and certainly something you won't find easily otherwise in the area,

Great menu choice. A few soup base for the noodles. The two that I got are so delicious. Too bad unable to try more items as just passing by. Maybe one day will come back.

Great spot if you like eating noodle soup. This place offers great selection of different broths and meat options. I have the opportunity to try the chicken and beef spicy soup version. Very flavorful and good amount of spice. They also add extra toppings into the soup. FYI soup is very hot temperature wise. Friendly staff and open space with plenty of seating.

as someone who loves warm soups/broths, i will say ten seconds yunnan does a great job of incorporating various flavors to make a delicious broth! there are plenty of different soup bases that you can choose from; my personal favorite is the hot & sour one! the portions are sizable & the serving comes with a variety of toppings that are added into your bowl-- personally, i wish you could customize it more (i.e. add more than one quail egg or slice of ham) without a surcharge. at face value, there aren't that many toppings provided in terms of quantity-- but they all complement the soup base & noodles well & you will leave feeling full :) definitely worth visiting on a cold day the appetizers i got were the takoyaki & shumai which honestly tasted fine & nothing out of the ordinary. i would recommend getting it if you reallllyyy want to try but you're not missing out on anything major if not! the place was pretty empty when we got there & so we got our food fairly quickly. the staff is very friendly & attentive! the restaurant itself is fairly spacious & there's plenty of parking.

Decided to check this place out after hearing great things about the place! Think of this place like a premium small portion of packaged hotpot- it is not all you can eat, but will make you warm and somewhat full after finishing a bowl. The broth is rich in flavor and servers were attentive. Place is very well maintained and clean as well. When you are in town and crave hotpot, consider checking this place out!

So glad there's such a fantastic rice noodle place in town. While it's tucked away in the corner of a plaza, this is totally a hidden gem for authentic Chinese cuisine! The portion sizes are excellent and the food is well prepared and laid out. I thought the broth was super flavorful. I also loved how the soup came out bubbling hot, a perfect meal for a cold winter evening. Service was quick and friendly and the servers were great at explaining how the menu works. The ambiance is clean and simple, which is a fantastic thing. Too many restaurant have gotten too fussy with their interiors. This one does a good job of both bucking the trend yet being classy and trendy at the same time with the simple modern interior. Really excellent place that everyone should give a try :)

I heard about this restaurant from my friend and I had to come try it myself. The interior looks just like a cute restaurant that I'd visit in China. The noodle soup dishes definitely taste like authentic Chinese noodles, and I would love to bring my parents here. I'd recommend ordering the sour and spicy soup with noodles and beef flank--the beef is so flavorful and has a chewy texture. If you're a fan of tomato, try the tomato base soup. After you order, the waiter brings out the ingredients of the noodles in a platter, the boiling soup broth, and the noodles. They'll help you put in the ingredients if you'd like, and they explain what each ingredient is. I'll definitely come back here:)

How has this wonderful heartwarming Yunnan style soup shop found us? Why is there not a line around the block for these toothsome, springy rice noodles? The closest shop serving Yunnan noodles used to be in Atlanta, but I'm totally wowed that a shop with even better broth is in Gainesville, Florida of all places! So many broths and cuts of meat to choose from. Served with a platter of sides to add in as toppings. I selfishly wish that there were different widths of noodles to choose from, but understand that this shop is keeping it legit. The broth is served boiling in a stone pot inside of a thermal bowl to keep you from burning your hands. To pair with the hot food, I recommend cooling yourself with an iced herbal tea and cucumber appetizer. Can't wait to return when the weather gets a little cooler. Or do I want to battle heat with heat?

Never had this dish before but I would say the noodles are very similar to vermicelli. The original soup is made from pork bone broth. Even though both dishes were original soup, they were different flavors in that the beef flank had more spice to it, kind of like sriracha, and was more flavorful in my opinion. I got the beef slice soup and it was very milky and kind of bland similar to Korean ox bone soup. I would have liked a little more flavor to it but it was very delicious. They included seaweed, corn, ham, lettuce, and fish ball (?). The fried steamed buns were called mantou and they came with condensed milk. They are kind of like fried doughnuts and were really good and fluffy.

I come here all the time and get the szechwan noodles with pork and when I tell u I could eat this every day I could. Amazing food quick and easy service and calming music just all around a relaxing environment. Oh and the cucumber salad is amazing as well. If you're ready this review deciding if you should go I'm here to tell u YES. The noodles and soup stay warm even when I took it to go which was great. So underrated and one of my favorite places in gainesville

Don't be a scaredy-cat, try something new!! Ten Seconds is an authentic Chinese rice-noodle soup spot. The service is super quick. You get food right away. When you walk in, tell them how many you have and they'll point you to a table. Don't be afraid to ask for a fork if you need one. Ask to prepare it at the table yourself if you want to avoid any ingredients you aren't familiar with at first. The food is amazing and very authentic. I love the tomato soup, the noodles are perfectly chewy, and the pork chop is just so good. The stuff is crazy hot, so you'll be there for a bit eating slowly as it cools. It's a cute, well-lit spot with a lively atmosphere. Not very big, but the people there are always enjoying their food and their company.

I had the fungus mushroom soup and while it was decent it lacked some flavor, I believe. There wasn't much excitement to it and there weren't any sauces or additions available to make it more interesting. The service was quick and attentive. Nothing much to say about the wait staff as they were good at their jobs and there wasn't any real need for them to go above and beyond. The atmosphere was ok. Again, nothing much to say except that it was comfortable. I would recommend going here if you aren't a vegetarian as there are way more options.

I'm happy this authentic Yunnan restaurant joined the local food scene perfectly before the cozy fall season! This place is legit, not sure what Gainesville did to deserve a location opening up here but I'm not complaining. I ordered the Pumpkin Cake for appetizer and the Sour & Spicy Noodle Soup with Sliced Beef. The pumpkin cake has a crispy fried exterior and chewy, mochi-like interior with a pumpkin puree (?) center. I'm a big texture eater so I really enjoyed this. There isn't a very long waiting time before your food comes out. First they'll bring out a tray with all of the topping/ ingredients, then bring out the soup. They'll ask if you want them to mix everything together for you or if you'd like to do it yourself. If you're not irrationally scared of burning yourself like me then you could easily do it yourself, there wasn't much of an order or anything that I think would really matter. The Sour & Spicy broth was rich and the flavors were very dimensional, I'm interested in trying the other broths in the future. Lowkey looking forward to the next time I'm sick because I'm convinced their Chicken Soup will solve all of my problems. Be warned the food is hoooottt and stays hot because of the way it is served. So please don't let your hungry stomach and eyes stop you from blowing on your food and being careful!

Great authentic spot for Chinese noodle soup! The soups are very hearty and perfect for any chilly day or even if you're feeling under the weather. I've had quite a few items on the menu- but some of my favorites are the original broth w/ chicken or flank and the sour and spicy broth w/ flank. The fungi/mushroom broth is sweeter and lighter than their other ones, but does not come with their traditional tray of add-ins and is bit basic in my opinion. I've also had the pumpkin cakes as an app which is great. Overall a great spot that I will definitely continue going to.

Wow! I didn't know too much about this noodle shop chain from China before stopping by. This place has some delicious broth noodles. I ordered the lamp spicy and sour soup noodles. The staff bring in all the flavors and ingredients that go into the soup noodles. A few minutes later they bring a metal pot enclosed in a plastic vase with piping hot/boiling soup. You have the option to put everything in yourself or they can do it. I opted for the drag to do it. They were super quick with that process. Service here was amazing. Would definitely stop by again.

One of our favorites especially on a cold day. Daughter loved her pork chow mein, boys had Szechuan pork and I had tomato noodles. If you are vegetarian, it is not enough to ask for "no meat", specify "vegetarian". We'll be back soon.

This place is delicious! The presentation of the food is quite satisfying. All the toppings (mushrooms, corn, chives, tofu skin, more mushrooms, etc) comes in small dishes to your table before your soup. Then they bring out a boiling pot of soup and the server will offer to put your ingredients in for you (you should let them, it's very hot and they have a specific order for things). The menu is printed in both English and Chinese and all the workers speak Chinese. The majority of the servers also speak English and can assist you if you need help placing your order. Sometimes you need to wave them down to get their attention though. The ambiance and interior decor of the dining area was soothing and reminded me of the Chinese restaurants I grew up around back home. Overall a great addition to the Gainesville food scene, I'll definitely be back soon!

Amazing food and customer service! The kimchi beef noodle soup came out hot in a cauldron-like hot pot and tray full of veggies, a quail egg, and thin slices of raw beef were put into the hot soup. It was sooooo delicious and full of flavor. Not too spicy at all, just the right amount of heat. Must get the pumpkin cakes as appetizer too! My friend had the healthy mushroom soup with thin sliced beef which would be great for when you want something soothing. He did opt for additional salt in his soup after tasting my flavored packed kimchi noodles soup. Hehe

So excited to try this new noodle shop in Gainesville. My husband order pork chop tomato noodle soup. The soup was too rich and sour. It tasted like V8 juice and the pork chop tasted old. I ordered chicken original noodle soup and the portion was huge lot of chicken. The best part of our meal was the sweet potato cake. Highly recommend to order. Service was quick.

I got the Sichuan (szechuan on menu) sliced beef rice noodle soup and it wasn't at all what I was expecting but it was still DELICIOUS not to mention the portions were huge! Although one thing I would have liked is if the menu specified what was going to be in the soup other than the protein because my soup and my friends' soups all seemed to have the same stuff in it (besides the protein) even though we all got different soup bases. Don't get me wrong, it was really good, I just didn't know the only thing that was going to be different between all of our noodle soups was the main protein... Anyway, the staff was really nice as well. I asked for a separate bowl to dish out some noodles and broth so I didn't have to eat over the big bowl it came in and the waitress helped me dish out the noodles and broth (rather than just leaving me the bowl and expecting my friends to help me) without me needing to ask her.

This is part of my top 3 restaurants in Gainesville. The Sichuan Chicken Noodle soup is absolutely fantastic. The broth is rich and flavorful, and it's so densely packed with flavor it blew me away. The cucumber salad was refreshing and had a little kick to it which I liked. The star of it all was the chicken wings. Those were the most crispy wings I ever had and they oozed with flavor. They elevated typical wings by adding this very lemony- citric acid seasoning on top with a lot of pepper. Best lemon pepper wings I've had. The service was fantastic too, the server even made me hot tea though they only serve cold boba. Would definitely recommend!!

Amazing place! So delicious. I beg you to give it a try. Its like a cross between ramen, Korean bbq and a hot pot restaurant . I know I am not being ethnically correct but I don't know how else to describe it clearly. I had the Original with pork chop. With an order of the cucumbers.

My husband and I went here for lunch today and enjoyed the food. The menu consists primarily of different versions of Yunnan rice noodle soup. They also have a few appetizer options. We ordered the original broth with chicken and the spicy sour broth with sliced beef. My husband had a green tea and I ordered a Pepsi. Both were in bottle/can. Utensils provided are a small ladle and chopsticks. The soup ingredients arrive to the table first. Ingredients include corn, ham, wood ear mushroom, scallion, seafood cake (looks like thin tofu), lettuce, cabbage, quail egg and a few other unidentified tasty items. Next out was the noodles. Then came the bubbling broth which is served in a screaming hot stone bowl inside a protective serving container so you don't burn yourself. Folks, this pot is HOT!! Our sever showed us her newly acquired thumb blister from accidental contact with it. The staff will assist you to put your ingredients into the broth - I wouldn't have known what they were doing if I hadn't watched a YouTube video before we went. The broth is really flavorful. Reminds me of ramen tonkatsu broth - creamy/milky looking. The spicy sour broth was neither too spicy nor too sour, but it overpowered the flavors of the other ingredients. The chicken was really tender and the sliced beef was very thin. Both cooked up quickly in the hot broth. The noodles were my favorite part. They were chewy and slippery and paired nicely with the broth. Service was fast and friendly. We were in and out in under 40 minutes. The dining area is not very big and was completely full by the time we left. Overall it was a great meal and experience. I'd recommend to any hot pot, ramen or pho lovers out there.

If you're looking for an authentic Chinese noodle experience, this is the place (source: am Chinese). There are also typically a LOT of other Asian patrons, which is how you know the food is authentic. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The bowl with all of the ingredients set around it can feel intimidating, but the servers offer to set up your bowl for you. My favorite parts were the broth, which was so rich and savory, and the meat. I ordered chicken and it was so juicy and tender even after being in the hot soup for a while. I'll be taking my parents here soon.

Hot pot ingredients nice location very clean. Food is fast and on point. Absolutely some of the best Japanese fast food I've ever had in my entire life highly recommended

I ordered my favorite rice noodles with pepper beef brisket. The golden soup rice noodles recommended by the owner's wife to my husband are also very delicious. The restaurant has also added pickled chicken feet, which are super delicious with rice noodles. It smells like home. The waiters are great! Give them credit!

Part of a strip mall just south of Enson market. I got the sour spicy slice beef noodle soup to go. It was very nicely packaged with soup kept separate from the noodles. Flavor was very good, not too spicy. Sliced beef was like the thin shabu beef you get at hot pot. Overall, an enjoyable dinner but rather expensive for the amount of food you get.

Delicious soup. We ordered takeout and our 3 bowls arrived in 10-25 mins. The packaging ensured the noodles were firm so the soup was still excellent by the time we returned home. The portions were massive and I ate it for several meals. We will return!
