Fresh and healthy dishes in downtown Los Angeles. The menu is straightforward, the prices are high. The main choices are meat and fish. However, these proteins can also be omitted. The service was quick and professional. The food tasted very good.

Tender Greens is one of my favorite salad based spots with excellent menu items. I ordered the grilled salmon with romaine hearts, roasted vegetables with a side of fried chicken. The salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The vegetables were roasted just right and the salad was great. The fried chicken was just a little overcooked but it was still good, flavor wise. Overall a solid lunch. I’d definitely come back here again and try their other menu items. Parking is limited to street or local structures. Great lunch spot if you’re walking distance.

Good option for fast but healthy lunch/dinner. For here or to go-doesn’t matter, they are friendly and can help with menu! Like this place!

In a word: Tasty. The food here is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. There is a good selection of items to choose from on the menu. I particularly enjoyed the salads and the fresh roasted vegetables. I tasted the chipotle chicken and it was tender and tasty. Ok, I went back the next day and ordered the Italian salad and it comes with a tomato vinaigrette, all housemade. I loved the mixed greens, arugula, riddichio, salami and cheese, olives and red onions. Very good! I especially enjoyed the desserts, which I enjoyed both times as I went back a second time to get the carrot cupcake and caramel macadamia cookie. Yummy! Would I return to this restaurant? Yes!

One of the best places in town. The food is excellent. Young and motivated people work. The service is fast and quality and with a smile. I recommend

The food is delicious 😋. I was a little disappointed with the service, my food took longer than 15 mins. I was the only one ordering. I ordered the sear tuna, and the center was still cold. The thing about this dish is you can have it cold or warm. Nevertheless, the food was delicious.

The food is inconsistent, hit or miss, and overpriced for the portion sizes you get. Placed two orders of steak salad and fish sandwich. The steak itself tasted great but the vegetables sides were paltry and not fresh. The fish sandwich was just horribly dry and tasteless. I’d not try it again.

This location has really gone downhill from its hey day. I understand sometimes kitchens are short staffed for the day. Or when kitchens forget to order everything and sometimes they gotta make do. I understand other mishaps can happen as well and I'm very patient. I've been trying to give this location the benefit of the doubt for over a year now. And every single time has been a disappointment. It doesn't matter if I ordered through door dash, pickup, or ate in the location. There seems to always be something missing. Last time i had to ask for the chimichurri they put on the tuna ( to my understanding thats a standard). This time I asked for 2 crostinis ( didn't get either one ), and my soup wasn't even full. This picture is before I even opened it. I'm really disappointed in this location and after a year of trial and error, I don't think I will be coming back. What happened here? This place used to be really great!

Tender Greens is one of my favorite go-to meals in the area. This location is dog-friendly and cozy with a big gated patio. Staff is usually helpful and nice. I got the plate with seared tuna, mashed potatoes and gravy, and seasonal veggies. Bread is nicely toasted and flavorful on its own too. It's a healthy and hearty meal all under 1000 calories. Only complaint is that veggies can prob be roasted a little more. The squash was still kinda raw and hard.

Disappointing..... How have the prices gone up significantly, but now the quality and quantity have died off. I ordered the salt and pepper chicken plate, dark meat grilled well. I get back to work, to enjoy my lunch.....and to my surprise just a few unseasoned, dried pieces of chicken and no skin.

Watery veggies Dried out chicken - some of it sliced which is not part of the "salt and pepper chicken plate." Wilted Romaine that is drowning in dressing Nah fam. Manager needs to start paying attention. I know this isn't fine dining but give me more than this.

One of the worst ran businesses of all time. When you order a pick up or to go order. Expect everything. To be literally 30 minutes behind. Every time I order from here I regret and say never again. The workers are extremely clueless . Food is ok. Just get something else

Since I've transferred my job near downtown LA this place has become my new haven to order from. I've fallen in love with their Harvest Chicken Salad. It is a perfect medley of salt and peppered chicken, stone fruit, blackberries, pistachios, goat cheese m, carmelized onions, baby lettuce, and golden balsamic vinaigrette. It is heavenly.

Service was amazing and in a timely manner They made a small error and they corrected it and were very kind about fixing it for me.

Our new go-to for healthy delicious eats after the gym! Have ordered online 3x for in advance pickup and has yet to disappoint! I tried the short rib special last night and it was even better than the menu photo! Steak also so bomb. Portions also solid. Tasty and fresh. Feels less guilty to get takeout here vs greasy or fried foods! I do want to take a moment to callout a few minor improvements though - roasted veggie side ratio was majority carrot, no squash, a few mushrooms. Also the online ordering portal doesn't have farro salad as a side option for the plates. Can these two items be addressed? Thanks and see y'all soon!!!

After an event at Pershing Square just steps away, we were hungry. So the Yelp app brought us here since it's the closest and we didn't have to drive and find parking again. We arrived around dinner time. In the weekends when the offices are closed,'this place is nearly empty except for a few that came in for food delivery. We ordered the chicken pesto sandwich. The bread was very rustic with hard edges. The chicken was dry so it was hard to swallow. But after sitting in the to-go container for a few hours, the bread softened up and perhaps the pesto seeped into the chicken so it wasn't as dry as earlier. The steak plate (see my photo) looked like they just threw everything onto the plate. The steak was mostly tough and medium, instead of the medium rare I ordered. We also got a steak with mashed potatoes and pasta salad. (No photo) The steak was also more like medium instead of med. rare. That order was plated much better. Service was OK. Food was OK and filled us up. We were just happy for the location and distance from Pershing Square. Next time, we'll plan ahead better.

Everything here is 10/10 Very welcoming and friendly. Food was 10/10 Greens drink 10/10 Perfect setting to eat while you study.

I dig the food, but the quality is inconsistent so ordering here (especially online) is a hit or miss for me. Not sure if it depends on who is making the food, but sometimes my steak is seasoned perfectly & other times not so much. I know the bread is complimentary, but I wished they'd stop burning it.. Last year you'd get a whole slice of bread & now they barely give you half a slice which is disappointing. Not sure why, but customers are super rude to the employees here so I usually don't even bother them about my own issues when they already have so much on their plate!

The staff at this location are excellent. They are always friendly and are willing to listen when I need to make a special request. This our "go to" restaurant for casual dinners.

At this location, staff is friendly, restaurant is clean, patio seating, paid parking garage nearby, food is good, chill vibes.

It's fairly decent and I've gotten back into recently. We work in the same building and one year we got this for dinner every single night for weeks so I was over it, but they do have some new options on their menu that were actually pretty good. Decent food, fair enough price for DTLA, usually pretty efficient service despite the crowds and seating options inside and out. Staff is always overwhelmed, but never short on patience.

Thus review is for the West Hollywood Location! My favorite one! Everyone here is SO NICE and goes above and beyond! The food is fresh and delicious with great portions!

Longtime customer, I order the same meal each time. (16x to be exact) It was my go-to meal. However the food portions have been getting consistently smaller and smaller to the point where it's laughable. Multiple items in my orders have been left consistently. Sad to move on from this place but it's not worth the price any more.

Hi! I'm writing a review specifically for PAUL the tall and extremely rude caucasian man that did not even bother to do his job today when he clocked in. I Frequently come to this tender greens as it is down the block from me and is my favorite local spot. This is not the first time i've noticed Paul's unpleasant demeanor but this time will be most certainly the last time allow it. I walked in today around 2:30pm where Paul was at the front counter doing what looked like inventory in the front. In my experience if you are doing work in which you cannot accommodate a customer, you should be doing said work in back. I kindly asked Paul for assistance 3 times, in which he never even bothered to look up at me once, greet me or offer to help but instead very rudely pointed to the employee next to him and demand that he help me. I immediately was thrown off and asked Paul why he was being so rude, still no response, still did not even bother to look up at me or address me as a customer. At that point Iost my appetite and no longer wanted to eat at a place with such customer serivce. I then asked Paul for his name THREE TIMES he continued to ignore me, I asked his fellow employee who also refused to answer me. Paul finally very rudely acknowledges me and asks me "what's the problem" I then tell him that he was extremely rude to me. He then says he could not be bothered because he was doing inventory and did not want to lose count?!!?!?!! AS if that is my problem? I've never in my life experienced such rude and careless service before and i'm extremely disappointed. If an employee is doing such important work and cannot be interrupted or bothered to help customers they either need to be in the back or work from home!

Food is delicious with lots of healthy options. The service is lovely! Outdoor patio is a nice option for seating as well.

I just had the best plate from Tender greens ever !!!! Tuna was soft And juicy Mash potato's soft even and tasty And seasonal veggies perfect with oil and seasoning perfectly cooked Awesome

Great downtown location, most of the audience seems to be take-out. I came in and ordered the seared tuna plate for in-dining and it was delectable. They were quick to take my order and bring me my meal where I enjoyed the meal on their outdoor patio. Great food and great service for an affordable price.

Great lunch for individuals or groups. Self service. Easy ordering and dining area. Salad, plates, and sandwiches are good-flavored.

Order chicken soup and Mac and cheese , both absolutely terrible, the chicken soup was so greasy (not chicken fat) just overwhelming tasted the grease !! Had to dump that , Mac and cheese , same , reminds me of the college days where I'd have to microwave that Mac and cheese , except this one was worse (surprisingly) would definitely stay out of this place

Ordered 2 days in a row and yesterday my plastic container of mint lemonade had a hole in it so by the time the bag got to me it was full of lemonade and just made a mess in my apartment then tonight we ordered and literally there's no eating utensils. And I know they were going to close soon, but that has nothing to do with you accepting my order, and then I can't eat it! They're usually so great and now two days in a row my order isn't complete.

Saddened to hear that they are using farmed salmon from the coast of Norway here, farmed is farmed and farmed is bad. They should pay their suppliers a little more for nonfarmed and just pass the cost down to the consumer, some of us would like that option. If you knew how farmed fish is raised, you'd never eat it again. It's an absolutely disgusting practice. If you're going to pretend to be a healthy restaurant, please start with the way you source your food. Farmed fish is sickening. What a shame.

Two stars only because I actually like tender greens as a whole. This location though I always have issues. I usually will go out of my way to visit other locations. This time I was calling to specify some things for my order and every time I called I was hung up on. They would pick up the call and immediately hang up. Working in food service myself, pretty rude it's ok to place me on hold or even ask me to call back but something that should take maybe a minute to answer .... Just a very unpleasant experience.

This review is for a recent Postmates order I placed. No issues with the preparation time or delivery, but the food was absolutely AWFUL. The Santa Monica location is close to my parents, so I used to frequent Tender Greens. The food used to be really good, but not today! I ordered the steak plate - medium rare with a caesar salad, mashed potatoes, and no bread. When I opened the container, I noticed they included the bread. No big deal. However, underneath I saw that the steak was completely charred and tar black. I didn't ask for well-done, but this was worse than well-done. The pieces were rock hard and burnt on the outside. I hate wasting food, but I refuse to eat burnt meat that could affect my health. Reading the reviews on Yelp, it seems like their quality control is non-existent. Do better, Tender Greens! It's a crime to charge $20 for a plate with inedible charcoal as your main protein. I will not be ordering from here ever again.

I got food from here many times. Lately food was not the same. Today my fish and rice were so oily! Too much oil coated. I ordered brown rice. It was sour and oily too ... the sour is from lemon I guess but I didn't expect my rice was mixed with something. Sour from the lemon is ok but oily is a no . For healthy eater, they may get so upset about it. You should describe this in the menu..not just put brown rice with no explanation that it is not plain.... Boo !!! My man got salt & pepper chicken and also order side chicken extra for more protein. It was so dry and super salty . I shared 2 pieces from the extra order. I was so disappointed. The cooks or chefs if you have one, please put yourself together and check food before sending them out.... One times I got seared tuna plate, I only got small thin 3 pieces..and the seared was not that great! 1 of the piece is the end piece so the seared part was so thick...that was even worst!!! That plate was not cheap!!!! I hope they pay more attention and don't make mistake too often.

I got the steak plate with Cesar salad and Mac and cheese as well as a cookie and mint lemonade. It was all really good. The steak is perfectly seasoned!! I ordered via delivery so I haven't had to experience the service yet but everything was packed well. Same goes for the ambiance. It was a good amount of food for me as I am trying to eat more protein as well fiber from the salad. All super yummy and worth the splurge!

Me and a few friends ate here yesterday and today all of us have the worst food poisoning ever, throwing up since 5am... we each ate different things from salmon, to chicken, and one of us had steak. Definitely an issue with cleanliness in the kitchen. Disgusting. Please be careful.

This place is hit or miss. A lot of misses. Generally the food is actually good but here are the misses collectively in the last three months: 1. Usually missing our beverage in delivery order 2. Usually missing SOMETHING from our delivery orders ... man we don't want our missing chocolate chunk cookie refunded. We just want our cookie 3. Cooking my medium rare steak overdone and barely chewable 4. Cooking my medium rare steak nearly raw and made me scared to eat. I'm no animal 5. Butter lettuce leaves never chopped into bite sized pieces 6. When we do receive beverages there's no straws In the past when items were missing we given the option to have the missing items delivered or refunded. Lately, they only refund. We prefer they send us the items we were looking forward to. Maybe if they had to send out another delivery person they wouldn't keep making delivery order mistakes so often

The food and the ambiance carried the experience. The fried chicken sandwich was fantastic! The potatoes were very sad though (see picture below). The service was ok--my partner wanted some water, and they said the ran out? Didn't think that was possible. They eventually gave us some water, but it looked a little cloudy. Pretty gross. I love the artwork and the green-themed seating.

Great kids options, and more than reasonably priced for what you get. I got the Thai shrimp bowl which was just the right amount of heat and deliciousness. Mint lemonade was really tasty, too. It is a Chipotle style restaurant- order at the counter and take a number. They do bring the food to your table, which is nice. I got take out - took a while but the company (employees) were pleasant and courteous.

Foods never ready in time it's decent though closest thing to my job so it'll do , service is so rude from all the guy cashiers have a face of hating their job not so welcoming at all the girl cashiers are nicer though :)

Haven't been here since Covid, oh how I miss this place. Food was delicious and the service was great even during a busy lunch rush. Got the Chipotle Bowl and everything was so flavorful. Can't wait to come back!

I love tender greens... I discovered this place a few months ago and I'm hooked... The quality of their food is amazing.. It's a fresh healthy alternative to eating out... I've ordered a few things from them and my favorite has been the steak... The steak is usually always cooked how I like it (mid-rare) so it's juicy and flavorful... The seared ahi is also really good... The staff is always very friendly and helpful, if you don't want to wait and order in person you can order online and have your order ready for pick up... This location is in downtown LA so the parking is horrible, it's usually busy in this area so I have to drive around and find parking... The main reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because the portion size is very small for what you pay... You can always add double the protein for an additional cost... Overall, The food is delicious and I will continue to come back.

So ever since I got put on to TG I've been hooked. And this location for the most part has the best flavors, consistency of temperature (without over or undercooking) and portion size. And tonight? Was the best it's EVERRRRR tasted, to the point I called and navigated the prompt system to say thank you and I've only ever done that maybe twice in my life, lol. Perfectly executed steak, the mash potatoes never miss, and the brown rice with its unique flavor to round out a clean, but fasho tasteful meal- 5 star night!

Constantly burnt food. Everything is delicious. Amazing puree. Very tasty salads, vegetables. But everything that is fried always burns. I don't know why. Maybe other people like it. I don't know. I tried to eat it, but it tastes like burning

This spot is my go to every time I'm feeling like I need a healthy boost. This time around they were a lil stingy with the veggies, but still yummy. Usually I go for the salt + pepper chicken, but I opted to explore new options. And I have no regrets, the Steak plate might be my new fav. Medium rare to perfection and veggies are seasoned well. The dressing on the side is always a favorite part for me in this meal. Be aware that this location is card only.

Being busy at work, I decided to pick up my lunch order at the closest Tender Greens. Wrong idea. I had to wait almost 15 minutes past the estimated delivery time. Obviously overwhelmed, the team behind the counter was hardly listening to any request. After begging several times, I finally got my order. Few seconds to check my bag and was too late to ask for missing cutlery. The was not listening anymore. As I was running out of the restaurant all I could see was dirty left over plates and messy tables... everywhere It's high time to hire a management and a team !!!

The food is amazing! I had to come back and get it medium rare because the first time was so good that I had to get it again! Just a bit disappointed that I ordered an hour ahead and when I got a notice that it was ready I still waited 10 minutes to go pick it up and to go do out I had to waste 15 minutes of my lunch to wait for my food! So I only had 10 minutes to eat but other than that I love this place maybe I'll wait 30 minutes more after it tells me it's ready!

The food is always cold and no one cares for the customers here. Its hard to order food and never get the food correctly the first time Either they forget to give you rice or the food is cold or they forget specifics of that order.

Came to Tender Greens while in LA for lunch with my sister and niece. We were greeted when entered and Dominque took our order. He was very helpful and informative. We all got the salmon plate with mash potatoes and caesar salad and one steak plate for my husband! The food was so good and flavorful. Shoot out Dominique he packed up our food and provide us refills. Great customer service!! I will return.

I placed an order for delivery on their website. They gladly took my money. But the food never arrived. Tried calling the location. They were closed (they were open when i placed the order). Can't leave a message. There is no customer service number or online support. So, to recap, they stole my money, delivered no food, and made it impossible to contact them to complain. My advuce us to find a place that is honest and actually cares about customers.

If online ordering is so hard to get right do NOT do it. We clearly have an order placed online and receive a very incorrect order they confused mine and my gf's order and none of us got the side order we both wanted differently instead we got the same raw under done veggies and undersonde potatoes. Open til 9 which was great since my hotel doesn't have room service or any actively operating restaurants (Biltmore). I got the Thai steak bowl and it was super tasty. Meat was cooked to my order and it was substantial and very good. Ingredients seem fresh and good quality. Recommended.

Yummy very fresh good service is ok but the food is amazing will go back when in the area the olive oil is delicious as well
