Amazing BBQ and Even Better Hospitality! I had an incredible experience at this BBQ spot! The beef ribs were absolutely amazing—fall-off-the-bone tender with rich, smoky flavor. The brisket was just as good: juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The pineapple coleslaw came highly recommended by both the manager, Stacy Pitman, and another guest, and I’m glad I tried it—sweet, tangy, and the perfect side to the smoky meats. I brought my kids along, and they had a blast. Stacy went above and beyond to make us feel welcome—he truly knows how to put a smile on everyone's face. It’s the kind of place where families feel right at home. To top it all off, I tried banana pudding for the first time, and now I’m hooked. Everything from the food to the atmosphere was just right, and with reasonable prices, this spot has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. Highly recommended for anyone craving quality BBQ and genuine hospitality!

Lonnie was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Place was spacious, clean, and fun. The food was excellent, although i would like if they had a small plate option for lunch, but i digress. I was greeted by 3 different people and my food came out quickly. Lonnie told the manager Derrick that it was my first time there and he brought me a little treat with my food. The food was amazing and just walking in made my mouth water from the smell. Highly recommend. Thanks for the great experience during my lunch break!

First time here and I came because of all the positive reviews. The food and service are indeed good. They are known for their brisket so I got a 1/2 lb along with a 1/4 lb of sausage and an individual BBQ baked beans side. The brisket was excellent and ‘tender’. I really liked the BBQ sauce. Not spicy like Rudy’s. The sausage was standard. The baked beans were incredible. I think there was more meat than beans 😍. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean.

Loved our experience at Tender Smokehouse. Everything was really delicious, but our favorite was the pulled pork. The potato salad was quite unique, as well. The mac and cheese was the perfect combination of "soupy" and tasty – we loved it. Would for sure return!

Amazing food. It is a definite place to return to. Perfect for a casual date night as well. The beef ribs are the best I've had in a long time. And the turkey...you can actually taste the smoke. The whole meal was awesome.

The BBQ itself was fairly good, leaning toward a strong vinegar tang that I actually liked 👍. The sides were a highlight: crispy fried okra 🥒, yummy seasoned fries 🍟, tasty ranch 🥗, and some awesome BBQ baked beans 🫘🔥. The banana pudding 🍌🍮 missed the mark—more like fluffed cream than true banana flavor, with hardly any bananas or wafers. A letdown for dessert. Service was just okay 🤷. Our waiter checked in, but when we asked for jalapeños 🌶️, pickles 🥒, and extra ranch, he forgot. I had to track him down later. Those basics should really be self-serve or more readily available, along with plates 🍽️, so customers don’t have to wait. Overall: decent BBQ, solid turkey, great sides (especially the beans!), but service and dessert brought the experience down.

We have had ribs from all over the country, but none can compare to Tender Smoke House in Frisco,TX, 4226 Preston Road. Not only do they fall off the bone, but melted in our mouths, the sauce to die for. The baked beans, cold slaw are perfecto. Last, ordered a baked potato that was truly Texas grown, so big it freaked us out. Next time you want some awesome barbecue, Tender Smokehouse is the place to,go.

Don’t you just love it when you can smell good bbq when you are just parking your car. Tenders smelled so good. First time trying after seeing all the love on Collin County Foodies. Great service and the restaurant is super nice but casual. We did a 1/4 pound of the brisket, jalapeno sausage, turkey and the pork ribs. Wow! Sooooo goooood. The bbq baked beans and potato salad were fantastic. So glad we went and have to go back to try their breakfast tacos and giant pancakes.

I've been waiting to try Tender Smokehouse for multiple years! I've gotten many recommendations since I first heard about them in Celina. I can't speak highly enough about the customer service! From beginning to end you felt important while having lunch. Had a great discussion while ordering, the servers, all the way to discussions with the GM. And the vibes just felt like you were having a family home cooked meal. Now for the food.. jalapeño sausage was excellent. For the brisket, it was slightly lacking in the flavor but cooked well. The sauce wasn't too great. I had to try all the sides. The beans A++, the mac & cheese were incredible! Potato salad was eh, and the pineapple slaw was just normal but with diced pineapples. Overall though the food was great! And the price insane, all that food & drink for $35?!?! Unheard of! But S/O to Gregg & his team! Can't wait to visit again! And excited for the upcoming location in my hometown of Whitesboro.

Loved the ambiance here, perfect for 2-3 families with kids to enjoy a casual, quality bbq meal. We were in the area for the total eclipse in April and had a great time. Fatty brisket is the star here and nice to see their homemade bbq sauce in glass bottles on every table.

I've gone a few times for lunch and enjoyed my experiences! The customer service has been great. The atmosphere is clean, rustic, and relaxed. Bar onsite. I've only ordered the brisket sandwich combo with baked beans and sweet tea for about $14.00. They do serve you and provide complimentary chips while you wait. I've been consistently pleased each time which is HUGE in my rating.

Super friendly and great food/value. While waiting for a friend to arrive, at least 3 people offered me a drink. For lunch, I grabbed the El Jefe sandwich containing pulled pork, sausage & brisket with beans topped with 2 ribs. I didn't bite into the sandwich but ate it slowly as a meal and filled me up. May have to wait for a table, but the front works to manage that and keep everyone happy.

I love coming here. The hospitality is amazing, the good is 1000% amazing, and not to mention out of all the BBQ spots I was told about moving here from the West Coast this has been my #1 stop since arrival and my go to for BBQ .

Tender Smokehouse is always fantastic - and the value in the take out meals is incredible. My visit yesterday was over the top even though I was just picking up. Darius offered to carry my order to the car and made a huge impression on me with his attitude and professionalism. Will be back!

Ate at Tender for the first time today. We've tried them at the Little Elm Craft Brew and Que this past summer. It was pretty dang good there and decided to check it out. Upon walking in, it has a very homey, country feel. If you're dining in, as we were, you walk through this maze to the front register. The lady at the register was extremely friendly and helped us out in deciding what to get, which we appreciated because if I'm being honest, the menu board was a bit of a nightmare to navigate. I ordered the turkey breast and Mac and cheese. My SO ordered the moist brisket, pulled pork, and Mac and cheese. We were given a number and told to pick a place to sit. Almost immediately upon sitting, we were greeted with silverware packets, a small bottle of bbq sauce, and house-made potato chips, which I might say are addicting. The food came out rather quickly, which was appreciated because the smell was making us very hungry. My turkey was amazing. Probably the best smoked turkey I've ever had. So moist and flavorful. My SO's pulled pork was pretty dang good too. I heard him say so many times how wonderful it was. The brisket was tender and moist, but he said it didn't have much flavor. Perhaps it was towards the end of a brisket, as there was not much bark to it at all. He said the pieces that did have some bark had great flavor. We both got Mac and cheese, and the texture of it was great. Nice and creamy with perfectly cooked pasta, not mushy. However, that, too, lacked flavor. I couldn't taste any cheese flavor outside of what was sprinkled on top. Overall, it was a great meal, because the main attraction was great. Plus, we've found our place to go to for smoked turkey and pulled pork. Will definitely be back.

Everything was amazing!!! We showed up on a weekend that had about an extra 20,000 people in town for the FBS college champ game. When we came in, the line was through the store, didn't matter. Hung out w our neighbors around us and the air wasn't that long. Staff was cleaning tables and prepping the entire time to accommodate. A couple of us went to the bar and got drinks while others held our spot in line. Food was soooooo good. Best bbq beans and banana pudding I've ever had. Beans had brisket in them and had so much flavor. The pudding was creamy and full of flavor. All the meats were delicious and moist. We had both sausages, brisket and pulled pork. Mac n cheese was delicious and the potato salad was good. You get complimentary chips prior to your meal. Great flavor. Restrooms were ok. Not overly clean but not overly dirty. Paper towel dispenser was broken ‍

Heard about this from a friend and decided to stop by on a Saturday for lunch. I won't lie and say it's the best I've had but they are well worth a stop. When we entered it was not busy and got to the counter rather quickly to order. First selling point as to why you should go here is that the food is very well priced at the time of writing this. You can get a sandwich for only $10 of any meat or get the El Jefe (like I did) for $15. Second, the amount of food I got on my sandwich. I ordered the El Jefe which comes with the sausage, brisket, pork ribs, and baked beans. The sandwich was massive but I had a chance to try each meat separately before eating it as a whole and each meat had good flavor and was cooked well. Last reason you should go, is that they have plenty of TVs to watch the game, a great selection of beer, and the staff was amazing. Overall I highly recommend checking them out.

I tried the Beef Rib from a friend at a potluck, and it was great, so I had to try it for myself. We were greeted with a smile and asked if we were ordering to go or dining in. We were dining in, so we were told to go thru the line and order. We ordered 1/2 lb of pork ribs, 1/2 lb of beef brisket, and the 1 lb beef rib. The start of the show were the pork ribs they were heavily seasoned, and at first bite, it was a wonderful flavor bomb. After that, it seemed to be overly seasoned with a salt. The smoke ring was excellent, and the bark was perfect. 4/5 The brisket was lightly seasoned and tasted very good. Bark was very goodand the smoke ring was heavily present. 3.5/5 The beef rib had a very dark bark, and the smoke ring looked great. The seasoning was lacking flavor in my personal opinion. It wasn't tender when i ate it. The time I ate it at the potluck was very tender. 3/5 Overall, it was a great experience and a good place to gorge on Texas BBQ. 4/5 Parking was plentiful.

Nice place for BBQ in the Frisco area! Was fortunate enough to have dinner at this place of a suggestion from some local friends and reassured by Yelp. We went into this nice place with fun items around like the pig running the BBQ out front. Piglet art is coming out of the walls. The young lady at the counter had to deal with three control freaks trying to order one of each. That did not work, so I just went with the 2lb family meal. We went with, pulled pork, brisket. ribs. and 2 kinds of sausage. Sides were mac and cheese, baked beans, potato salad, and a small pineapple coleslaw. The Brisket was melt in your mouth so good and flavorful. the ribs were fall of the bone and delicious. it was all so good and tasty that I forgot to add the BBQ sauce... but who needed it! wanted dessert, which looked delicious but stayed away from the swets. Great experience, really nice, clean, and affordable.

The customer service, cleanliness, ambiance were all great! We were promptly greeted, engaged with lighthearted conversation with the gentleman who took our order, and were well taken care of during our visit. The food was also good, but there were opportunities. The brisket was moist but was missing that little sumptin sumptin that we've grown accustomed to here in Texas. Still good, however...just not great. The mac&cheese was a dam shame, a little dry and missing that ooey gooey goodness that goes with BBQ...don't act like you don't understand me. I digress. The best thing I had was the rack of ribs. Good with no sauce needed! Overall, I'd give them a solid 3.5.

Tender Smokehouse is an absolute must!!!! The food was amazing, and ribs literally fell off the bone. They were moist/tender and so flavorful. Also ordered the brisket, which too was a wonderful choice. The portions are huge, and the seasoned chips were a great touch. To top it all off, the service was outstanding, not just for me but I watched how attentive the various staff were to customers. Chelsea was so helpful being that it was my first time and went above and beyond to make me feel like a valued customer. Certainly, I will be back. Look no further if your wanting great bbq with wonderful customer service.

The BBQ here is amazing. The Jalepeno Sausage and Brisket was perfect. I got both the lean and moist brisket and both just melted in your mouth. The chips to snack on are a great treat. The Pineapple Coleslaw was fantastic. So sweet. Service was quick. Thanks Tender!!

Was here not too long ago, and both Tenders (Frisco and Celina locations) have not disappointed. Ambiance - 5/5 - Same concept as the one in Celina. Head to the order area and order what you want. Service - 5/5 - Friendly and patient. I say patient because most of usually do not know what we really want until we spend a few minutes in front...making others wait haha. Food - 5/5 - Ordered the following: Brisket - 5/5 - Both are fantastic. MUST GET. Sausage - 5/5 - Jalapeno Cheddar. I only get jalapeno cheddar at BBQ places, and these did not disappoint. I highly recommend. Spare ribs - 5/5 - Tender with a great smoke flavor. Highly recommend. Mac N Cheese - 5/5 - Can't get BBQ without this. Pineapple Slaw - 5/5 - Need a palate cleanser? Here ya go :) Please note their HOLIDAY HOURS, as they are closed until 1/2/2024. Therefore, I will be back in 2024!

Great bbq found in Texas. Great service and a good atmosphere. The servers were very friendly and the food was served hot. That can be hard to get at done bbq.

Welcoming place with a relatively decent service and fast food delivery. Would highly recommend getting extra brisket and the ribs that were melting. Excellent beer selection at the bar area that has plenty of screens to watch your favorite game. Don't forget to get that in-house made BBQ sauce to go. This place is not well known, therefore, yet is missing a line at the entrance.

From the moment I walked in I was greeted by everyone I encountered with the most welcoming friendly energy ever! The staff was patient with my questions and a bit of indecision and eventually guided me through the process of getting one of the best smokehouse meals I've ever had!!! The ribs were fall off the bone tender, the brisket was moist and juicy with the perfect blend of spices, the Mac and cheese was excellent and the sauce was delicious! I noticed that they also serve breakfast so "new challenge unlocked"! I have a future date with a breakfast burrito in my near future!! JUST GO ALREADY!!!

Food was good. Nothing special. We had about 10 different meals and everyone was okay with their food but not bragging about it. I've had much better bbq at other places. It's not bad. It jus doesn't stand out. It's very gimmicky with the stacked sandwiches and such. The bean were very much watered down and had little substance. A dozen beans and prices of meat and not much else. Won't recommend this place.

Eating brisket for breakfast is the thing in TX, and I might not be able to go back. i met a friend (on his suggestion) for breakfast on a Friday at Tender Smokehouse. There is plenty of dedicated parking, and the waiting area is very large: this place can take in a lot of people. I was early, so relaxed in the waiting area...the A/C was set in preparation for the later day crowd so it was COLD inside. They have a breakfast menu, and you order and pay for your food in a fast-food like queue. Once done, you take your numbered placard and find your own table. We sat outside since it hadn't gotten hot yet, and we were the only ones there throughout our stay. The breakfast tacos were $3 each, and comes with egg, cheese, and your choice of meat. Brisket was a must, and also chose chorizo and jalapeno sausage. The tacos came in about 10 minutes, delivered to your table. They use a 6 inch flour tortilla, and all 4 were absolutely jammed with meat and egg. It also came with a mile green salsa, which was perfect on the egg. They also added potato to the tacos. Added all together: each bite reminded me so much of a perfectly balanced breakfast burritto, except with a lot more meat than egg or potato. I just loved both of them, and was pretty full afterwards. I've not had much brisket breakfast tacos in the past...these tacos have made me really regret that loss of opportunity. With all the bbq joints in Dallas, Tender Steakhouse squarely falls into the category of 'will drive a while just to eat here'. Sad to say, I don't think I could find food like this, at this price point, in LA County.

When in Texas, eat BBQ. During a trip in Frisco I went to Tender Smokehouse to fulfill this promise to myself. As I walked in, a whole crowd of people representing the lunch rush was right behind me. A good sign I found the right place. The menu is all a-la-carte, no combos or plates like you may expect at other BBQ joints. Here's the rundown on my meal: Brisket: Slices that included both fattier cuts as well as leaner cuts. A solid brisket with a nice subtle smoke to remind you it's BBQ. Jalapeño Sausage: Stuffed with chunks of cheddar, this link isn't spicy at all for anyone afraid of heat. Mac and Cheese: Very creamy! Appreciated the extra heaping of cheese on top. Potato Salad: Bland, but not very heavy BBQ Sauce: A real highlight of the meal, it reminded me of A1 sauce with some kick. The staff mentioned that if you buy a bottle at the restaurant, you can bring it back in for free refiils! The meal did come with onions, pickles, chips, and Texas toast so I was able to craft my own brisket sandwich with all the fixings. Good food, good service, everything I needed from a Texas BBQ lunch.

This tucked away BBQ joint was an absolute surprise! The location has both indoor and outdoor sitting and unlike other barbecue places, the inside does not smell like a Smokehouse - giving it a bit of an upscale feel, although it stays true to the farm house, barbecue ambience. The staff was amazing, from the moment you order the food you are greeted by a friendly team then once you sit, food is brought to your table and staff is continuously rotating offering you services. The food itself was top-notch, and very competitive for the barbecue scene in the greater Dallas area , our favorite was there barbecue beans as well as the pulled pork.

It was just ok. Really couldn't taste the smoke. Brisket was kinda dry. Coleslaw was probably the best part of our meal with pineapple in it. Most likely, we won't go back.

This is the place to come for true Texas southern hospitality and AMAZING mouthwatering bbq. The lines do get crazy long once Saturday afternoon rolls around but the wait is so worth it. The folks there are so helpful and always are enthusiastic about their personal favorites. The sausages whether it's jalapeño/original is a magical goodness that makes you question how you lived your life before. For those who are trying to stay on the lean side, the Turkey is fantastic. It's not dry at all, has that subtle smokiness and excellent flavor. The meat from the ribs is so tender and just slides off the bones. And the beans, phew. The burnt tips they put in the beans creates this rich, hearty flavor that just makes you want to weep.

Consistently good bbq. The family pack for takeout is a solid value, got s thru the Covid lockdowns, and the curbside service was excellent. It's a typical BBQ place in terms of decor, but that's not why you go to a place like this. Pit master knows what they are doing here! Between Tender and Hutchin's just up the road 5 minutes, you can't go wrong for the best BBQ in Frisco and north DFW.

The BBQ was amazing. Good flavor, just the right amount of smoke, and tender. Service was phenomenal, LONI is the man. Knocked it out off the park with his customer service, personality, and attentiveness. Top notch service will definitely make the 45 min drive back to eat again.

This place is amazing. Great food all around. We had the pulled pork, burnt ends, jalapeño sausage, BBQ Beans, and the Mac and cheese. They also have a really good list of beers on tap. 10/10 will be coming again. Also on Thursday it is quiet enough for little to no wait, so if you want a quiet night definitely go on a week night.

Great service and good! Their beef ribs keeps me coming back. The place is more comfortable than most bbq places around the area and the rest of the menu can compete with more known establishments.

Quality of meal and options are out of this world! First time trying Tender and will certainly go back! David at the bar is quick with a sample of any beer of curiosity. I'm from out of state and selected this location as a meeting place for 3 friends from Frisco-Plano area. They've not been there before yet will certainly make Tender a regular stop!

So happy to discover this place recently. The mains are as delicious as the sides (loved their bbq beans)! Got food to go so cannot speak much about their ambience. However, we got our food extremely fast - so its a speedy takeout option.

BBQ Brisket and ribs are excellent. Frisco Tender Smokehouse feels totally different from the Celina location. I personally like the small town feel and the low ceiling restaurant in Celina. Overall, good BBQ, and right up there with Hutchins. I'd return again.

I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional service we received yesterday. Despite the heavy rain when we picked up our takeout on 04/20, I inadvertently left some of the food behind. When I realized this upon reaching home, I was initially hesitant to call, fearing the usual hassle of correcting such mistakes. However, to my delight, the staff at the restaurant were incredibly kind and understanding. They promptly remade all of our food without any issues. Not only was the service outstanding, but the food itself was absolutely delicious. I couldn't be more pleased with our experience, especially since we chose this restaurant for my niece's birthday celebration. Thank you to the entire team for their exceptional service and for ensuring that our meal was not only tasty but also hassle-free.

My company used them to cater breakfast and lunch for us. I am going to keep this short. The staff was amazing so 5 points for the staff. The food is descent. I rate based on the brisket and the brisket was just fine. The pulled pork was really nice. But the funniest thing is my favorite thing came off the breakfast menu. I didn't even know they had breakfast. I have cooked my far share and had my far share of breakfast tacos but their bacon breakfast taco was packed with smoky bacon and top with quality shredded cheddar cheese. Then pour on their salsa.. yummy absolutely delicious. I literally took 5 home so my family could try. They were also equally surprised. Thought I was crazy to offer them old breakfast tacos. So yes try the bacon breakfast taco

We were visiting out of town for a conference and decided to go here for lunch their food is very good everything that everyone ordered including potato salad baked beans brisket spare ribs banana pudding everything was delicious well worth the price.

We had the 2 lb. family pack with brisket, pulled pork and turkey. The meats were all delicious, although I liked the brisket the best, the pork and the turkey were very moist and tasty. Three sides were included in the "family pack". We selected BBQ beans, pineapple slaw and potato salad. All good, but WOW!! the BBQ beans were awesome! The best ever as far as I'm concerned. The 2lb. selection handled all five of us, with a little left over to take home. The restaurant setup exactly as you expect for a BBQ house; ordering counter with seating at booths and tables. The service was exceptional for this type of store. So many friendly folks stopped by to see if we needed anything. It was nice. My new favorite BBQ house.

I had 10 people over and ordered take out from tender smokehouse in Frisco. First time trying it. Ordered moist brisket, ribs, turkey, jalapeño chedder sausage for meats and Mac and cheese, potatoe salad, cole slaw, bbq beans. Got pickles, onions, and jalapeñ. also came with Texas toast which was great compared to just getting white bread at other bbq places. The prime brisket and ribs were very good and for the sides the potato salad and bbq beans were the standouts. Also the pickles were excellent. The bbq sauce was just ok.

I am officially a BBQ convert. As a New Englander, I've never been a huge fan of BBQ because it's always quite dry and flavorless. Well Texas and Tender Smokehouse proved me wrong. BBQ is AWESOME!! I ordered the Brisket, Pulled Pork, Pineapple Slaw, and Baked Beans. It was difficult not to over stuff myself because everything was delicious. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The beans were cooked with brisket in them and were delicious. The service was also great.

Best atmosphere and food of any Texas barbecue joint, plus Texas beer on draft. The brisket class is awesome too! The BEST beans ever - everyone's eyebrows go up. And the Mac-n-cheese? ...creamy and silky!

Solid spot for breakfast. Tacos have ample filling and were reasonably priced. The Star of the show though was the brisket & biscuits which features their burnt ends and cream gravy.

Wow!!! Our first time here and we are blown away! The staff was welcoming and friendly. I have celiacs and the staff knew exactly what was and was not gluten free...and almost all of it is GF! My husband ordered the El Hefe and it is a sandwich with all the meats. My husband isn't a small man but he could only eat half! Food was wonderful and the beans....oh the beans are amazing. Can't wait to come back and try other stuff. Again, servers and all the staff were super friendly.
