TENDER steakhouse + lounge

My wife and I attended a football game on 12 Oct 2025 at Allegiant Stadium and afterwards, we wanted to remain in the area to have dinner before we drove home. I know that it seems like Luxor Hotel and Casino hasn't been a fan favorite by many and there's been comments on how it's gone "downhill," but I still enjoy walking through that property from time to time. We initially agreed on a restaurant in Luxor; however, after standing in line for a few minutes and battling my hunger spells, I decided to forego that restaurant and find another one in the vicinity. I did a quick online search for nearby restaurants and found Tender - I made a reservation and we headed that way. When we walked in, we were greeted nicely by the hostess (I wish I captured her name because she was very friendly and personable). As we were being escorted to our table (booth seating), I immediately noticed the nice décor and how spacious the restaurant was. Our server, Kaitlin, did such a remarkable job that evening - she was extremely professional, attentive, and operated very efficiently. This business is fortunate to have an employee like her. In fact, based on the interactions with all the employees that evening, I'd say that this restaurant is lucky to have the majority, if not all of them. We ordered the Justin Cabernet and Smoked Old Fashioned for our drinks; and the Dinner for Two Special consisting of: BLT Wedge Salad, Tomato Bisque Soup, 44 oz Tomahawk, Mac & Cheese, Garlic Spinach, Chocolate Mousse Cake, and New York Style Cheesecake. We also ordered the Crab Cake for an additional appetizer because it's difficult for us to visit a Steakhouse and not try their version of Crab Cake. This was the first time taking advantage of a dinner-for-two concept because typically, I'm one of those "get your own steak"-type since I'm a carnivore and want a steak to myself; however, as I've gotten older, my food quantity intake has decreased...so this was perfect for us. Everything was magnificent that evening. I know this is un-American, but I'm not a huge fan of mac & cheese like a lot of people are, but the one at this restaurant was outstanding and can stand behind the hype because of this. The steak was slightly overcooked to our liking but it was still tender and was seasoned to perfection. Overall, I loved this restaurant as depicted in my 5-star rating. The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was excellent and I highly respect this restaurant for their continued support to the active men and women of the Armed Forces, including its Veterans - thank you for that! Although Luxor isn't as popular as it was years ago, people should consider visiting to try this restaurant. I highly recommend this place to all locals and visitors!

Great place! Intimate and quiet, with flawless service, and great food! Truly, the service just flowed - my water glass never got lower than 30%, things just appeared and disappeared at reasonable times. It was like that Honda Cog ad - when things. Just. Work. The food was great: Chicken Oscar is 10/10 recommend.

Best dinner we had while visiting! We made a reservation approximately a month prior, and we were even able to move out time up since we arrived earlier than expected. A beautiful atmosphere with big round leather booths. Our server was attentive, very friendly, and attentive. Our food was served in a timely manner without feeling rushed between courses. We did the shareable tomahawk steak.. oh. my. amazing! Cooked exactly as ordered, it came out mouth-watering, beautiful! It was a great steak, tender and flavorful. It was served with three sauces, all which were great. The ceaser salad was fresh and delicious. Mashed potatoes, delish! Creamy and flavorful. Asparagus was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Dessert.. we had to box it to go, as dinner was plentiful enough. We really enjoyed our experience.

We just had the absolute best dining experience here. Service was unbelievable, and we had the Austrralian Wagyu, and it was cooked to absolute perfection. Our server Emilio took great care of us, but everyone who came to our table were so friendly and attentive.

We had a 44 oz Tomahawk steak the price tag is a shock at first but really it's a good deal for a good steak. The price included the steak, choice of two salads, two sides, two desserts all the sauces and rubs. I enjoyed the rubs more than the sauces.

The best bang for you buck is the $59 jack deal. Entre and desert with appetizer. Cocktails are amazing. Chicken is seasoned to perfection with an amazing reduction. Shrimp is to die for. I will be honest. Your first thought is " an expensive steak house in Luxor ?" No. This is a hidden gem. The chef tonight is GOY ( joy). Exceptional chef. I cannot speak for other nights but as a man who cooks himself and finds it tedious to give other chefs a chance , I was thoroughly impressed. Server Adie was amazing

Went to Tender for our anniversary dinner. The food and the server rocked! Thom was amazing. The chef also bought us drinks because our steaks were over done. Service this good is so rare. We will be back here again!

Dinner was amazing Amazing, went with a buddy at a day at Defcon, an the meal hit the spot. I had the Coffee encrusted New York Steak, dinner came with a fresh Caesar salad, an hot fresh Rolls, an the Mash potatoes was server family style perfect for sharing with others. The cost is not for the faint of heart, almost $75 dollars on average per person but fo s treat perfectly in line with Vegas prices.

The food here is definitely 5 stars! The service is 10 stars! Thom was our server and made our dinner experience so much fun! He was so funny and made us laugh. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you're visiting.

THE FOOD IS UH-MAY-ZING!!! I had the twin lobster tails. they were grilled to perfection and the lemon butter sauce was a just right taste and consistency. I love that the mashed potato portion was a just enough helping and the asparagus portion was full sized. my waitress was delightful and very attentive. she made the experience perfect. the only thing I would like to be different is I wish I could have dined in the main dining room. however as a table for one I had to dine in the bar/lounge area.

From the time I entered the establishment to the time I finished my meal was great. From the hostesses to the bar staff, everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful. I chose to sit at the bar since it was initially just myself. I was promptly greeted and given the most refreshing glass of water. I ordered the three course meal from the Jack Daniels tasting menu. I ordered a Caesar salad, Pepper Crusted Prime New York Steak + Jack'd Up onions, garlic mashed potatoes & Tennessee Fire Apple Cheesecake. The food came out promptly, was perfect temperature, and absolutely delicious. I cleaned all my plates. Mike M was friendly, personable and his customer service was great. I really enjoyed my visit today and hope to return soon. I definitely recommend.

December 26, 2024 5:00pm There is the bad and then there is the AMAZING! We arrived a little early and wanted to check on the reservation to make sure all was good. The hostess apparently was not in a good mood. I said "Hi" and "Hello" several times and she blankly stared at me like I was annoying her. She said nothing to me. Never had that happen to me before. She was obviously in a bad mood. Simply put, RUDE!!! However, once you get past the angry hostess it's a whole different atmosphere. The AMAZING...our server, Juan. What a nice guy. Super attentive, funny and just made us feel at ease. It was my husband's birthday and Juan made it special. We had the Tomahawk dinner for two....Fantastic. Highly recommend this Steakhouse. If they got rid of that hostess it would be a perfect rating.

Food and service was excellent. Thom was over the top accommodating and provided excellent service. Our dining experience was one of the best I've ever had in Las Vegas Thank you!

The food was well presented, not a big fan of the jalapeno mac and cheese, tried to change it and was told it wasnt possible. The steak and the sauces were on point, especially their chimichurri. For desserts we had cheesecake, which was really good but the chocolate cake had a bitter, sour sauce that wasnt enjoyable. First time there celebrating our anniversary and possibly our last. Other steakhouses go above and beyond for these special occasions, not this place.

Food was amazing, three course meal tomahawk steak was delicious And our server Juan G was the best, very attentive !!!!

The ambiance is fine, very classic steakhouse. The bartender was cool, he had been there a long time and seen some things. My drink was perfect. My burata app was fine as expected. But my main coarse of a pasta with pesto and prawns was just off. The prawns smelled fishy, the pasta too chewy and, well just bad. I couldn't finish it. The way it's situated is interesting. It's very close to the casino floor, but once inside, it seems far away. I would go again if I was in the area but I would only order things on the menu that weren't too fancy.

Food wasn't too bad, ambiance was good. Prices were just too high for our liking. $370 for dinner without alcohol? No thank you. Waiter was not very attentive but the other staff were very friendly

While in the mood for steak, we decided to try the spot that is inside the looks Luxor hotel. it was a Friday night so I was expecting a wait time or having to have a reservation, but that was not the case. I was taking a straight to my table when I came in. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. He provided some recommendation and told us about the dinner special they had. I decided to try the three course menu that they had which was $92 for appetizer dinner and dessert . For the appetizer I asked for the shrimp cocktails, which was enough for one person about 4 to 5 shrimps. They were perfectly chilled . For me I had the New York strip that came with us mashed potato purée and asparagus. The steak itself was medium well but it was in the dryer side. The mashed potato parade and asparagus were perfectly cooked and very tasty. And the chocolate mousse cake which was also delicious and enough for one person. My hubby went with the salmon with sweet potato risotto and he really enjoyed it . Overall, it was a nice steakhouse with a lot of different options and great service.

Tender has consistently been of high quality and fantastic service. My husband and I have been coming here for years and have always been delighted with the delicious food and the people that work there. Nikki and Mike at the bar were especially helpful and made our dinner experience even better. Highly recommend

The ambience was fantastic. Our server, Allen was off the charts. Excellent. I rarely had someone that personable. Everyone that came to the table was wonderful. The food was delicious off the shorts top shelf. I'm not only will recommend this place. I will be pumping you guys up for years.

Fantastic food with a great atmosphere and wonderful staff, what more could you ask for? I highly recommend the coffee rubbed New York strip.

The Atlantic Salmon was excellent! Our server was wonderful as well! We did not feel rushed at all. Very nice atmosphere as well. Would definitely recommend!

After a win from the USC and LSU game, and walking the bridge I was starving. Tender was perfect no wait in line no reservation made and they sat us right away the Yelp reviewed showed 3 1/2 stars kinda of made me wonder. However food was great took a little longer than expected but when it came it, it didn't disappoint only negative was the gristle on the tomahawk. The ambience is pretty dark and romantic nothing too fancy so price for tomahawk dinner came with an appetizer of your choice salad or soup and dessert and two sides perfect amount for date night we were stuff would recommend about $200

Food was soooooooo good man I get a filet mignon and the smoked Gouda Mac and cheese best Mac and cheese I have ever had in my life the crab legs are to die for and our very nice waitress adie gave some good suggestions

Best steak I've had in a long time. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. My waitress was absolutely great. Wasn't crowded everybody was at the game so it was nice and relaxing.

Lee had the tomahawk and it was fabulous. Raul was the food runner was absolutely amazing! We saw him more than our server. He consistently checked on us every time he was walking back to the kitchen to get more food. He got us a soda when we wanted one we had no idea where our server even was lol we saw him to take our order and check once when we got our food but RAUL WAS THE SUPERSTAR HERE!!!! Tender steakhouse this guy is a GEM to have on your team! See you in 2 weeks Raul!

Great value, food and service! Located in our hotel it was a highly recommended spot to check out nearby. The filets were cooked expertly and to perfection! The Mac and cheese was absolutely amazing

I had a solo dining experience that was beautiful. The service was excellent, the food (salmon) was made perfectly. I enjoyed my experience!

We came here for convenience and a tasty steak and were absolutely thrilled with everything! Adie was helpful and gave great service!

We had the option to wait 30 to 45 minutes or sit at the bar for dinner- we chose to sit at the bar since we were hungry and didn't want to wait. The service was absolutely amazing and the food was delicious! We came at a really good time because the restaurant got really busy shortly after we sat down. I will definitely be back to try some of the desserts or another dish.

Family in town staying at the Luxor and they suggested here as they had a good experience before. We were not disappointed. Tucked away I didn't know it was here. Very old Vegas feel with decor and booths. Friendly service and delicious food. Would come again. We had the meal deal. Sorry no pics was too delicious. We had a crab cake and I don't usually like them but it was yummy. Not too fishy at all. Shrimp cocktail big fat juicy shrimp. We had the ribeye cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes and asparagus cooked just right. Dessert was cheesecake yummy as well. Thomas was our waiter. Guess we'll have to come back so I can take pictures.

Do not let the 3.5 average deceive you. This place was AMAZING!!!! We had the ribeye, smoked gouda mac and cheese, truffle fries, and Caesar salad. The best food I've had in Vegas to date, highly recommend. Shout out to our server, John! Great atmosphere.

So my husband and I were looking for a place for dinner and came to tender steak house when walking through the Luxor. We haven't been here in a few years and loved it before so we we're excited to be welcomed and seated immediately. Our waiter Alan was friendly and attentive. We had questions about a couple of items on the menu that he was able to answer for us to help us decide what we wanted. The seating was cozy and conveniently there is a bathroom in the back of the restaurant so you don't have to go back out into the casino for one The food was absolutely delicious. We each ordered a steak and shared two sides, garlic, mashed potatoes, and lobster mac & cheese. We also ordered a Caesar salad but wanted to split it so they brought it out. Already split for us on two separate plates. We also got a chocolate cake to go, and that was absolutely delicious also! This is a good steakhouse. If you are looking for one in the Luxor, it's a great option. There is also seating in the bar area where you can overlook the casino, which I think is also a fun option! Who doesn't like to people watch while they eat, and have some drinks :)

Amazing atmosphere, Service and Food! Hubby and I made reservations here for our 31st Anniversary! We both ordered the Lobster Bisque to start....then we both chose the Filet Mignon with Lobster Tail. Mushroom Risotto for our shared side and a Creme Brûlée to share for dessert . Everything was delicious! I forgot to take pictures! Our bill came close to $500.00 this also included 2 glasses of wine and one cocktail.

We had the 3 course Tomahawk dinner and it was amazing! The Mac and cheese was delicious! Mike, our bartender/waiter was very attentive.

Tremendous pre-stadium experience. The food and service is top shelf. We especially enjoyed the flaming shrimp scampi.

Came here 08/12/2023. This was on a Saturday around 6 PM with reservation. There was no wait for walk-in. A hidden gem in Luxor! Good food and upscale vibes. Food: We tried the beef carpaccio, bone-in NY strip, and ribeye. The food was excellent and the beef was tender. Service: We were served by Kaitlin. She had some attitude issues and acted too casually for a high-end steakhouse. We had a Noir in our party too. We needed to split the bill for two separate room charges and she was acting like it was a huge deal and a lot of work for her to do. Many exasperated sighs and general not-wanting-to-help behavior. Ambiance: Not as dimly lit as Bavette's, but the staff is all suit and tie and there are many apps prepared tableside. Lovely restaurant.

Reasonably nice steakhouse, although nothing special. But what we appreciated is that we were seated quickly and Service was very prompt as we were trying to get to a show. Warmed bread rolls was a nice touch. We tried the lobster bisque- it tasted like Campbell tomato soup with a little bit of lobster in it. Caesar salad was a Caesar salad. Again nothing to write home about but fine. Salmon was cooked well and tasty. We didn't stay for dessert but they did have a few options. Waiter was courteous.

I have never heard of this place being open for lunch, but OpenTable allowed me to reserve a table and so I did. I went to the restaurant and they were closed. Not surprising, but clearly misleading. Tender! Get your act together and fix this problem in your reservation system! You don't even deserve one star, but this system doesn't go lower. You owe me a meal for me visiting Luxor for no reason whatsoever and misleading me.

Ate at bar. Service was fine,got the filet to compare it with other steakhouses on strip. Its ok.Nothing spectacular in my opinion. I wanted to like it because its cheaper then others,but sadly its average at best. Ordered a med rare filet,underdone but I didnt feel like sending back ,too hungry. Its passable but dont expect stripsteak or bavettes quality,flavor,or tenderness. I also ordered a wedge salad but nah..not a hit.Not blue cheese dressing...not great lettuce .It served the purpose that night ,but id pay more for other steakhouses.

Dragged my mom from the machines for a nice dinner, only to be rushed like I was an unwanted guest. Never coming back.

the steak was incredible. so soft and tender. the drinks were delicious and strong. mashed potatoes and mushroom risotto and crab Mac and cheese are also delicious.

I don't know why Tender Steak house is not rated one of the best steak houses in LasVegas. It is a hidden gem. I love eating there. Last evening we went there and had coffee crusted steak that was tender and melted in our mouth. Our server was Manuel, He is the best server in LasVegas. We spoke to manager CJ and thanked him for great experience. All Staff stopped when they walked by to help us if needed. 5 stars we will be back.
