"She hails from Brittany, he is from Sardinia, they met in Corsica... and now they run a small restaurant in Bordeaux that punches above its weight. The chef's dishes are precise and always inspired, especially when they home in on first-rate ingredients: langoustines, spider crab, bluefin tuna and pigeon. Expect very contemporary cuisine, bursting with flavours and littered with references to Italy (put it down to the chef's origins), without ever lapsing into nostalgia or getting caught up in proclamations of identity. The tasting menus change every week depending on the chef's inspiration. It's a real pleasure from start to finish, right down to the lunch menu, which is excellent value for money." - Michelin Inspector

This is without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Bordeaux. The service is incredible and welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious from front to back of the tasting menu, and the wine pairings were perfectly matched with the dishes that were served by the sommelier. This is a must hit spot in Bordeaux.

TentaziOni Bordeaux – Gastronomic Italian with a French Soul TentaziOni is a cozy, intimate Italian restaurant in Bordeaux offering a 6-course tasting menu (€105) that delivers refined flavors and thoughtful presentation. While labeled “Restaurant Gastronomique Italien,” many of the dishes—both in technique and profile—lean more toward French fine dining. This visit also marked my first time trying rabbit meat, delicately prepared in the ravioli course and surprisingly memorable. The service team was professional and attentive, but their crisp uniforms and precise manner gave off a very formal, almost rigid tone. It somewhat clashed with the cozy interior and overall relaxed setting of the space. I found myself wondering whether the restaurant aims to present itself as a relaxed bistro or a strictly elegant fine dining destination—the vibe felt slightly mismatched. The wine pairing featured a 2023 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi (La Staffa), which was enjoyable, but the wine selection overall felt limited—especially for a city in the heart of Bordeaux’s wine region, where expectations for thoughtful pairings and a well-curated list naturally run high. That said, each element—food, service, and ambiance—was strong on its own. It just lacked a unified harmony that would have made the experience feel more seamless. Highlights from the menu: • Roasted green asparagus, hollandaise with lovage, and squid tartare • Rabbit-filled ravioli inspired by Piemonte • Red mullet with foie gras, razor clams, and smoked spinach • Kir royal sorbet with Champagne mousse and Szechuan pepper meringue • Gariguette strawberries with Sicilian almond and strawberry sorbet

The food is good, and the service was outstanding. But is it Micheline good? No. Worth the price? Maybe. While the food was "good", nothing blew us away, and the wine pairing was highly disappointing. For 70€ for just 5 wines, you'd expect elegance or at least some interest in the wines, but everything served tasted like it came from a 10€ bottle. Its really too bad considering how many amazing Italian wines are out there. Outside of quality, none of the wine pairings made sense with the food, and only one pairing actually elevated the wine. All in all, id recommend coming here for the food, and to skip the pairing.

Amazing restaurant, very original food! Make sure to book in advance as it is small and often full

This was an odd experience. We fought and killed 3 gnats during our meal And couldn’t catch them all which was distracting from the experience. The ambience is very odd as it’s incredibly bright and feels like it’s trying to be an early lunch. I wish they’d bring the lights down a bit. Perhaps candles or anything to warm it up? The food was good for the most part, but we had better elsewhere in Bordeaux. Wine was fantastic! Would highly recommend the wine pairing with the tasting menu. We enjoyed our time, but the bright lights and vibe of the restaurant were really Off putting and we were surprised it has a Michelin star compared to others we’ve been to. Servers were lovely! Again, less light for dinner! Dessert was not enjoyable.

Food was fantastic. It will really take you to a different level. But for a 1 STAR Michelin few mistakes were made. - they ask you to wait outside if you are not on time - they are not helping you to seat - wine pairing always comes late - different wines are some times served in the same glass - you need to ask for extra bread A true 1 STAR Michelin shouldn’t deal with those mistakes.

TentaziOni was the obvious choice in restaurant to celebrate 20 years of marriage. Second visit and once again it did not disappoint! Original and creative menu was offered and the service was very professional and knowledgeable. The whole team were there to deliver an experience worthy of its Michelin star. Thank you all once again.
