Stumbled upon Tenya during lunch and decided to give it a try. Specializing in a wide variety of Tempura Dons (rice bowls) and noodle sets, this spot turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
I opted for their Unagi and Fish set, and it was nothing short of impressive. The unagi was fresh and generously coated in a rich, umami-packed sauce, while the fish was perfectly battered and fried—light, crispy, and satisfying with every bite. The accompanying hot soba was a standout as well, flavorful yet balanced without being overly salty, tying the meal together beautifully.
The service here deserves mention, too—the staff were exceptionally patient and friendly, and the food arrived remarkably fast despite its variety and complexity. The restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of seating, so finding a spot was effortless even during lunch hours.
All in all, this was a delightful discovery. A fantastic meal, great service, and a cozy dining atmosphere—10/10, and I’ll definitely be back for more!
