Great new location! Fantastic breezeway in the outdoor seating. Prompt and friendly service. Solid margaritas. Juicy palomas. Decadent nachos. Dog and child friendly in front patio.

I've been going to Teote since they were at their old SE location. Finally made it out to the new spot. The El Diablo arepa bowl was flavorful and the arepas had a nice balance of crunch and softness. The Colorado beef tacos on special had some nice smoky flavor and were delicious. The drinks were great and paired well the food. Glad to see them in the neighborhood. I'll be adding this place to my regular rotation.

Teote is back! Same psychedelic desert vibe but in a cozier space. They’ve kicked the food up a notch - the flavors are punchier than I remember with a beguiling depth to them. Value, service, and ambiance are all on point. Glad they stayed in the neighborhood!

Overall an amazing experience at Teote! I’ve frequented some of the past locations over the years so was delighted to hear that they opened a new spot. The last few years have been awful on small business, especially restaurants so it’s real testimony to a company’s grit and drive to see a new location open up. As usually the food and cocktails are delicious. I LOVE the queso and the plantains to start. The romaine salad is a very generous size and the dressing is out of this world, who knew a salad could be so yummy. I’ve tried a few of the arepas, all really good as well as the tacos. The food is satisfying, full of flavor and generously portioned. Cocktails are spot on too. The vibe of the space is cozy and inviting perfect for meeting up with friends or a date night. It also would work well for families. Thanks Teote for a well rounded dining experience!

I had a hard time getting a photos before half the food was gone because it was so good. The diablo, the plantains, the churros and the unique nacho cheese are all more delicious and complex than I can describe here. The ambiance is one of fine art without feeling stuck up. I showed up after cutting moldy dry wall and felt totally comfortable. I was dining with someone who's heavily gluten intolerant and they had zero issues.

Yelp
Stopped in here shortly after opening one recent evening. Had the El Diablo Arepa and it was terrific, as was the margarita. And good chips and salsa--always a sign that the food will be worth it. Very friendly staff and the interior is hip and stylish and fits the mostly South American food theme. And great jazz music playing. It's a bit hidden away slightly down the block from the corner of 30th and Killingsworth but well worth seeking out.

Yelp
The food was delicious!! Our table order two arepas, the salad, stew, and a tostada. Everything was phenomenal!! The guacamole was also so fresh! I got the naked and afraid cocktail, which maybe the best mezcal drink I've ever had! And amazing friendly staff and lovely ambiance to top off the night! And the price point was very good for the portions!

Yelp
The food is incredible! I had the green chili chicken and we also got chips and guac. But so many other options I can't wait to try! The chef (and owner I think?) came by to check on us and brought us a plate of cinnamon churros. This place is rad!

Yelp
Stopped in here tonight with a friend and food was delicious. We both got the tacos and they were really good. The atmosphere is also nice, it's a little dark but that's pretty typical for this type of restaurant in portland and it doesn't bother me but just a heads up for some who hate dim lighting! otherwise great service and food
