I enjoyed the experience and the service and food was great. A bit confused though why my shells on my taco was undercooked. Seeing others reviews and food pics this doesn't seem like a normal thing, so unsure what happened and why this was okay to be served the way it is.

This has become my favorite Mexican place in the area. The food here is really delicious - I love their tortas and tacos! Prices are really good too.

Tepeyac is delicious, consistent, relatively inexpensive Mexican food. It is so good that now that I moved I still make a point to come back and eat their tacos. The staff is fantastic too.

Best barria tacos I’ve ever had! This is a small family owned business and they take pride in their restaurant. You can tell they put a lot of love in the food and enjoy serving it to you. HIGHLY recommend you check them out!

I ordered takeout and the food was packed very sloppily, spilling several items, although it tasted fair. Also did not receive a drink I had ordered. I reached out to them but have yet to hear back about a refund or other resolution. Experience may have been better in house.

I wish I could have given this place a good review since the food was good, but we were given the wrong order and had nothing we wanted. When we got home we realized they had given us only two orders of tacos. We decided it was not worth the hassle of driving all the way back so we ate what we got which was less than we ordered. We had ordered a burrito, a birria plate, a side of quac, and some churros which was about $40 worth of food.

Tasty Mexican food, but the wait was long, and the tables weren't clean or ready for use. Good food, but they could improve cleanliness and service.

Best al pastor tacos I've ever had. Tried 6 different tacos and had the guac - everything was excellent. Nice staff too!

The food and service has always been first rate. My favorite is the quesadilla burrito with spicy chicken.

I came across this place scrolling through Yelp attracted to the pictures and high ratings. It was a cute and homie establishment with fun Latin music. There were a good amount of tables and seats with space in between. It's order at the desk and they bring the food to your table. They also actively do takeout as they were filling a bunch of orders when we arrived on a Friday just after they opened. We shared a meatball soup, Chorizo Burrito, and Carnitas Torta. The broth of the soup reminded me of the consume with birria tacos which I enjoyed. I also liked the handful of meatballs since they were soft and flavorful. The burrito ingredients were well spread out so you could have a bit of everything all at once. I found the torta to be a little dry but their homemade hot sauces definitely helped. The green sauce is certainly spicier as a warning for those with a low tolerance. French fries were yummy as were the homemade chips. Overall, we had a good experience and I would like to come again to try other items like the birria tacos and tortas.

We tried the birria burrito's a few nights ago. The food was fabulous! For the value of it, I really couldn't complain about the food. I wish the food was more spicier. The chips on the side with the consomé was delicious.

Best tacos in Salem. And there are alot of tacos in Salem. Too many some might say. But these guys deliver.

I have been to Tepeyac many times but just recently I tried their Fish Taco plate and also their Birra Taco plate. Both plates were excellent with generous portions. Their food is always made to order, so it does take longer to get to the table, but once the food arrives you forget you had to wait, it is SO GOOD! The owners are the nicest people you would ever want to met, very friendly and positive. They play tradional Mexican music in the background, it really sets the mood of a nice Mexican dining experience.

Ordered out from here and it was seamless. The service over the phone was easy and informative. The restaurant was clean and I liked seeing the big open cooking space. Ordered the torta with carnitas. It was juicy with good cuts of meat. Ordered the taco Tuesday special (2 tacos for $4) this was advertised on their online portal then it disappeared, so I called it in. Chips and queso..yummy. Lastly, I ordered the Carmel churros, which were crispy & light and fluffy inside (still warm too!). The sauces given were ample and flavorful. Bonus points for the staff labeling everything in the to go bag. They take apply pay which is convenient as well. Deff recommended and will go again..check my pics!

The best most legit Mexican food on the North Shore! Love their chicken burrito, so flavorful! And the tacos are so good. I've never had anything bad here.

The food was excellent! I would have liked to post a pic of my quesadilla and chips + queso but I was too busy enjoying it. It was everything you want from Mexican food: hot, cheesy, flavorful, and fresh. The chips were crunchy and salty just like I like them. The service was amazing too - very friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Yum !!! I think I found my new local spot. All I've been craving and wanting was a simple and delicious chicken tacos plate with rice and beans and that's exactly what I got!! I can NOT wait to go back and try other things on the menu.

I order a steak burrito it had no flavor at all. The steak in my burrito was gray in color. The chips were very hard.

They take a little while to make the food but it is well worth it. Everything is made fresh. The chips are nicely salted and the salsa is great. I usually get the taco salad and it never disappoints.

Came here on a whim but boy was it good. My husband said "make sure you give them 5 stars because the food was so flavorful". And he has never told me to rate any restaurant before. Okay so it's not your typical sit down restaurant. You order at the counter but they do bring the food to your table when it's ready. They also made sure that we got our chips and Queso well before our meal. The staff also wears masks which I this is admirable so thank you because I know it's hot back there! My boyfriend and I love this place. Great birria tacos and consomé, we love the food here. Only bad thing, you have to wait at least 20-30 minutes to get your food and the tables are not always clean. Their chips and queso are not impressive.

Takeout night. I was looking to get Tortas at Lá Victoria Taqueria in Beverly (over the bridge from Salem), when I was fortunate enough to see they were closed...Yelp recommended Tepeyac, and it paid off! The Pollo a la Plancha was perfectly seasoned with fresh sides. The shrimp tacos were delicious as well, and no skimping on the shrimp -- for $3 that is a hefty taco! Lastly, the nachos were amazing. The portions were generous. The lady at the register, presumably the owner, was very friendly. In terms of the ambiance, it is more of a quick lunch spot, or great for takeout. It was well-lit and no alcohol license as far as I could see. It seemed very clean in the dining area and in the kitchen.

My family and I came here for lunch, food was amazing!!! Service was awesome, very friendly. I love Birria Tacos, so I had to get that, it was delicious! Must try you won't be disappointed!

Food was very good(I had tacos) Chips and salsa were great in particular with the additional hot sauce the hostess gave me to try. There are a dozen tables, so you can eat there, but it looks like they do a lot of take out. The place spoke family- lots of diff aged customers and three generations running the kitchen. Great vibe.

Good food always consistant. Try all their foids youll be surprised how it taste. Never had a bad meal although decore could be better

Wow, simply put, this is excellent Mexican food! I had the combo fajita, which included chicken, steak, and shrimp. All were cooked perfectly and oh so tender! The seasoning was good, too, not heavy-handed. It came with a lot of rice, beans, sour cream, guacamole, shredded lettuce, and 5 corn tortillas. More than enough and a super fair price for everything included. Others both had burritos and exclaimed perfection, the best they have ever had! They were big and fat too. We ended with some delicious churros.

Food was good nothing crazy the restaurant is kinda hot but it was pretty clean service was fast. food was just small in portions like I had to go to McDonald afterwards and I spent 18 dollars on my meal from Tepeyac Cocina

In betwixt cvs and tri city sales is my new taco joint. The food is made with care as if they made it for themselves. Customer service is A1. The spot is clean as well. Was formerly a Dunkin's. They have another location in Fall River, MA.

Loved the food here. After being spoiled with delicious Mexican cuisine from time lived in California and Texas, this is the type of place I've been hoping would arrive in New England. Fresh food bursting with flavor, classic menu options, solid tortillas, and house made salsas. Service was super friendly and fast. The price of the food is a steal. So dang close to a 5 star joint. Here's my take: Good: -Tacos and tortas are wicked tasty -phenomenal refried beans (I typically prefer black but these are wow!) -Great breakfast dishes! Need Improvement: -ratio of egg to meat in Huevos rancheros and Huevos con chorizo were but off. Need more egg, especially on Chorizo dish! -No Enchiladas? Look my criticisms are minor, this place is like a 4.5. Very welcome addition to my takeout repertoire!

This is our new favorite authentic Mexican place, especially since they serve breakfast. Breakfast burrito? Check. Huevos Rancheros? Check. We went for lunch the other day and I had the chicken tortilla soup. It was delicious. The staff is friendly and it feels like you're in someone's home. Yum!

Placed a takeout order in the restaurant and confirmed all the items that come with the meal. Got home to find one of the items missing, and a very unappealing piece of grilled chicken. Double check your order before leaving!

Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon feeling horrible. This place put me in a better mood, lol. I had the Biria Taco Plate that comes with two shredded beef tacos, rice, and beans. It was really filling and savory. I love Mexican food and this place didn't disappoint. I'll be back!

Love this place. tacos birra are excellent. Burritos and taco salad are all reliable. beans have great flavor. Place is clean and easy to get to.

I'm originally from Los Angeles where street tacos were everywhere. Moving to Boston, the biggest bummer is not having any AUTHENTIC Mexican tacos. Every taco/Mexican place we go to in Boston even if it had amazing reviews faltered to disappointment. We were about to give up our search. I ran into this place randomly on Yelp and I'm so happy I did. The service was fast. The BIRRIA tacos were AMAZING. I also ordered lengua and carne which were both really good. Loved the salsa they had on the tables. They also have some good desserts to choose from and all-day breakfast with some classic Mexican breakfast meals. I wish they had aguas frescas. This place is definitely a hidden gem and I hope more people come across it. Parking was super easy. It's located in a random lot that's pretty empty

The tastes of the tacos were wonderful by itself and super amazing when dipped into the spicy sauce! Highly recommend the quesatacos. Great customer service. I love the displays of the artworks and brighter color ends of the decorations. Great dining experience.

One of the best Mexican Restaurants I've tried since moving from Mexico City. I highly recommend trying their shrimp tacos.

Food is really good. The location that just moved into the South End on Washington is excellent. Definitely needed this in the neighborhood.

Authentic delicious food and great service. The restaurant is clean and comfortable to eat in. The birria tacos are to die for. The burritos are delicious and full of meat. I visit at least 4 times a month or more.

HIDDEN GEM i literally LOVE this place, i ALWAYS get their birria tacos, at least once a month i have too. everyone in their is nice and im pretty sure its a family run buisness. id rather go here than any chain taco place anyday.

First time visiting And they did not disappoint. I ordered Birria tacos and a side of fries. My food was delicious and came out tasting super fresh. The Birria tacos were well seasoned and had a good balance of everything you want in a Birria taco. Crispy, meat was savory and not dry, good amount of cheese and garnished with just enough onions and cilantro. The consome that came with the tacos also very savory. Even the fries perfectly crispy and they served it with some spicy green sauce also great. The guy at the register was very friendly and attentive. Convenient location with plenty parking. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough about this place. Wherever you are, it's worth the drive! I've never had a bad meal here, everything is delicious. Eat in or take out, it is always hot and freshly prepared. I've taken numerous friends here and all have enjoyed the food! It's always amazing to see restaurant owners and staff taking great pride in their product. Two thumbs up!

This place is EXCELLENT ! What a hidden gem & the young lady working behind the counter with the long brunette hair was so sweet, friendly & professional. The place was spotless I was impressed with the cleanliness I live down the street & this place just opened about two months ago decided to give it a try. So glad I did! I kept it simple tonight & just got the nachos and they were so delish! So fresh and covered in goodness -quality I opted for the steak nachos. Can't wait to go back and try the tacos ++ seems very authentic. Thank you!

New local restaurant on Highland Ave near Tri City Sales. Conveniently located for a quick walk for us. We have ordered twice from here and it has not disappointed. We have had chicken and steak burritos and this past visit I got the Taco salad bowl with chicken. It was so good. The menu mentioned cabbage but it consisted of rice, beans, lettuce, etc...and a great dressing, a little too much sour cream for me but I easily removed some. My husband likes the small containers of sauce they gave us with our order, it was in out first order but not this last time. Worth trying for sure.

Gave this place a try, I got the chips and queso which was good. I Wasn't a fan of the salsa or pico de gallo. The burritos came with peppers and onions that had a taste I just couldn't get into. Some people might like it, give it a try. I will say the prices were fair for the portions.

We were watching for the opening and decided to try it. I think we were the first customers. Nice neighborhood Mexican place next to TriCity Appliance and CVS across from Market Basket. Food was really good the Carnitas Burrito and the fish and shrimp tacos were tasty as was the homemade sauce. We really liked that they had a good selection of tacos at $2.99 each. It gave us a choice to mix it up. We met the owners, very nice. The place is a great addition to an area with not many choices besides fast food. Give them a try.
