A Record Count of Michelin Chefs Serve at D.C.’s Top Tennis Tourney | Eater DC

"I found the Tequila Lounge to be a popular, party-style spot fueled by DeLeón and local favorite Taco Bamba, with lounge drinks such as the “Ace Deloma” (tequila, grapefruit, lime, champagne) and the “Matchpoint” margarita (tequila, lemon juice, agave, red wine on the rocks)." - Evan Caplan

Inside it was actually called Choc Lit City. The margaritas were ok. The place was completely empty though and only one other person was at the bar. No food available here.

Love me some Tequila Blues! Great vibes, incredibly good blackberry margarita, and consistently great live music. We try to make it here every single Sunday. It’s actually insane that this little hidden gem is still hidden. Live music usually starts around 330. Check it out!

Went to look at the venue to rent for an upcoming event and Ms Queen and Christine, the owners, were great... decided to stay for a happy hour drink and it was so good. The blueberry Margherita was a hit. The bartender, Blue, provided great service. I appreciated the clean restroom as well. Good experience! I'll be back!

This is a bar with a dance floor and pool table. The venue is also used for parties. There isn't food service.

My wife and I went there to have a drink one week ago. Firstly their drinks were very much over priced & from reading thenother reviews this seems to be their regular mode of operation. We ordered waffle fries which were about 6 dollars. I am not exaggerating when I say we got about 6 fries. When I complained the bartender rudely said that had no5hing to do with them but the Jamaican restaurant next door did their food. I even asked about the situation at the restaurant and they did nothing. I am a chef. When it comes to food presentation, quality and portions are just as important as taste and this placed failed in all ofnthe aforementioned categories. We went on a Friday night and the place was basically empty. You would think management would be heavily invested in giving great service to the few people that were there. NOPE. I believed this was a Black Business so I was eager to support. That eagerness has completely disapated. #NEVERAGAIN

Bought an expensive drink. Don’t know where the price came from, wasn’t the menu. Then got the same drink a second time and was charged a different price (more) for the same drink. Ordered food. They got it from Jamaican Jerk or whatever the restaurant is called next to them. Ordered wings, the “mango tango”. It was literally wings (should have been cooked more) with bbq sauce on them and a can of diced mango (drained) poured over the wings. Luke warm wings. The service wasn’t great. Once the band went home it turned into a club. The bartenders and waitresses were sub-par and not adhering to the atmosphere.

The Critic

The Owner Ms. Queen is great, but her co-owner Christine and bar manager (Christine's daughter) were unprofessional and rude, causing a bad first impression. The bar had missing pool balls, poor food quality, and unavailable drinks, blaming it on 'running out.' The owners wrote bad checks, to other employees. and it took three weeks to receive an $89 check with a dismissive apology. The lack of teamwork & knowledge mixed with greed will likely lead to the bar's downfall.

This was a very nice neighborhood place bar to hang out on on the patio on a summer evening. They had live music which was very good. It had a nice cozy ambience. Alcoholic drinks are around $14 & there was a food truck parked out front on the street. It offered Mexican tacos and taco plates. Tequila Blues had alcoholic beverages to choose from and also water....
