Dishes are fresh and well prepared. Excellent drink list. They have a bar themed portion of the restaurant, booth, seating, and countertop seating. Open till 10 last call for food is 930. Large parking lot behind the restaurant makes it easy to always find a place.

This Mexican restaurant is always right on point and amazing! Even though it's called Tequila Grill for non drinkers like myself, it has no bearing on the atmosphere. It's kid friendly. It's quick and always clean service. Polite professional people who do their best to ensure they see you again. I encourage everyone to eat here...EVERYONE, I promise you won't be disappointed!!!!

Great food! We’ve been going for happy hour and the shrimp tacos are so bomb. Their drinks are fantastic too! Definitely recommend the aperol spritz

Love, love this place. The atmosphere great; I like the bright lighting in the bar area and the smooth simple lighting when sitting at the booths away from the bar. The restrooms always clean and smell great All their drinks are delicious, perfectly mixed. The food is the best, my favourite is their shrimp tacos with a creamy sauce , my sister can't get enough of it. They have a prawns plate with a sweet and spicy peanut butter sauce that is to die for. So far everything I tried was delicious Service is always great, they always check up on us often and are ready to recommend and help. The staff is always so nice and cheerful. All in all, I would recommend this place and always do.

Met my cousin for lunch and I am so glad she recommended this place. The food is amazing!!!! We had fried calamari, Shrimp Tortilla Soup, and the oyster Rockefeller. I almost died and went to heaven. I bought my son the Quesadilla with rice and beans and the beans and rice was well seasoned and the quesadilla was nice and cheesy. If you are thinking about going here stop thinking and go!!!! They also have great cocktails...If you are vegetarian try the vegetarian fajitas super yummy 😋

Came here a few times no problems at all they usually have the games on. Nice bar area. Food is awesome. Waiters are wonderful sweet and kind. Bathrooms are nice and clean and big enough for me. Hey I'm a huge guy myself. A+++ service. Food. Atmosphere. Hidden gem in San Leandro.

It's more like 3.9 stars, not 4, but definitely not 3 stars. Service is great, the employees care about tending to you. Love the music they play in the background. Someone likes Christian Nodal, haha. The food is alright. My boyfriend enjoyed their agua chile, but I found the chicken they used in their mole enchiladas didn't go well with their mole. It just didn't taste right together. The presentation of the food is beautiful, but don't get the enchiladas.

We recently visited the Tequila Bar & Grill in Dublin, and this weekend we thought we'd try their San Leandro location. We were not disappointed! Of course we loaded up on oysters - both raw and cooked. Same cooked oyster flavor options as the Dublin location, and at Ocean Oyster Bar & Grill in Union City, their sister restaurant. So yummy. I really think if I had to pick just one food to live on for the rest of my life, it would be oysters, lol. Service was excellent. Very friendly, enthusiastic, attentive staff, so refreshing to see. Luis took great care of us! Great vibe all around, with happy customers too. Nice, spacious restaurant, this would be a good place to host a party. We will return.

We have been to the location in Dublin a few times as well as their sister restaurant in Union City, Ocean Oyster Bar and Grill. (And why are they called sister restaurants. Why not brothers, partners or step kids?????) All 3 locations are great. It's nice to have this one closer to home when we get the oysters urge, which is all the time!!!! So the address is on 14th but we turn on Estudillo and park in the nice big parking lot and use the back door. The oysters are always very fresh and it usually a 2 dozen hit or more before we get out of there along with the cooked oysters. The cooked ones are great, maybe stay away from the Diabla unless you can handle the heat. Really, bring the fire extinguisher. A really nice chill environment for oysters and other food and a drink in San Leandro.

We returned to this San Leandro restaurant and we're thoroughly impressed an service, food, drinks and dessert. Stag was on top of things and very nice. Food was new and fresh Mexican food and great margaritas. But the chocolate tres leche was the best we ha before had and a must.

For starters, the place was very clean and the staff were nice! I can't remember the name but that cheese appetizer was 2/10! I give it a 2 because the chorizo was very good but the cheese was basically a melted mozzarella cheese stick. My mom and I thought it would be more of a creamy kind of dip. It really wasn't our favorite at all and it didn't look like the photo that was presented from the chef. My meal was very good! The chicken enchiladas with green salsa was 10/10! Now I would definitely come here for drinks only!!! That passionfruit margarita was bombbbb!!!! Definitely a top tier drink. I'm going to have to try the tacos next time. The meat here is super flavorful so I can only imagine some good ole tacos The side of sour cream was tiny as h*** !!! For $2?!! I had to squint to see it lol but my mom's meal ended up being wrong so we got it for free! Overall this place is 3/5! I'd go back tho

We have dined at this restaurant for years before COVID. At that time it was under different ownership and many of our favorite staff no longer worked there and the atmosphere wasn't the same. We recently returned for breakfast, lunch and dinner and were blown away by the new Tequila Bar & Grill! The staff is so friendly, the food is over the top delicious and the ambiance is so much more festive, especially in the bar area. Honestly, this is an upscale Mexican restaurant. The Chicken Mole with two different Mole sauces was amazing! And, they have our favorite dessert, Pastel de Tres Leche!! We will be back soon!

The restaurant is very clean and looks very nice inside.. the service was cool but I feel prices can be a bit too much for some items.. very disappointed about the Queso Fundido I showed them a photo and was like I want it like the Yelp and look at what I got ..the food was good but that Queso Fundido disappointed me.. drinks are very good but don't advertise something you not selling !!

Amazing ! The food was delicious, very comforting and authentic . The service was really attentive as well . Ambiance was perfect, I love going here on date night or with friends but it's also very family friendly and it's awesome that there is also a location in Dublin which is convenient! 10/10 i definitely recommend. ( Saturdays and Sundays they have Birria !!! ) the food and drinks are phenomenal , don't forget to start off with a queso fundillo with chorizo or some baked oysters

Food's good--definitely flavorful and well-plated. The drinks hit, strong and worth it. Customer service is solid, staff is friendly and attentive. Only downside? The food's a little overpriced for what you get. Still, if you're in the mood to treat yourself with good vibes and a strong margarita, it's worth checking out.

The service was friendly, quick and the place was not too busy for lunch. The food presentation was beautiful! I'm a jalapeño margarita lover and this one did not disappoint For lunch I ordered the taco salad with shrimp, amazing flavor but I wish it had more greens... I'm trying to eat healthier now I'll have to eat a bigger salad for dinner Will definitely be back, I'm making my way through the restaurants advertising in the "Taste + See magazine" I picked up at the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce.

Prices are way too high for the food and drinks. Came here recently and spent $160 on two entrees and two kids meals. Drink prices were over the top and charge $6 for orange juice for kids. There other comparable Mexican restaurants in the area for much lower prices and honestly better food. Food wasn't bad just not worth coming back for. Service was good though. Very friendly

Pretty solid Mexican joint in San Leandro. The best item, oddly, was a fried almost Asian style shrimp dish ...heads and all! Always a plus. Chile relleno, mole and tacos were also favorites. Canned guacamole and crappy chips were not. The super burrito looked decent. The full bar is a plus with a great selection of premium tequila, solid beer list from Mexico and great margs. The service was very responsive and friendly. The decor is slightly reminiscent of a 80's bar and grill ...but very clean and decent parking.

Cute hole in the wall. First time here, came to dinner with a friend. Hostess greeted us with a smile and sat us immediately. Server was prompt and knowledgeable with the menu. Made great recommendations. ONLY DOWNFALL, food had little to no salt . Otherwise great presentation and portions. Small menu but great options. The drinks 10/10. Coconut margarita is a must try! The beso caribeño was delicious too. Also had the mango michelada and it was fantastic! Will be coming back!

Nice little restaurant. However, the business next to it shouldn't leave their dumpsters directly in front of the doors! The smell was horrific walking into Tequila Grill. Yet, the service was good. We enjoyed the chips and salsa, but had to ask for fresh chips because they were stale. Also, the ground beef taco wasn't that good. The combination fajitas hit the spot and the agua Jamaica was delish! We've driven here 4 times from out of town!

Ordered a super burrito with no rice. Specifically confirmed cheese, sour cream and guacamole. What did I get a been snd meat burrito. Nothing but beans. It was horrible. $20 burrito. Not going back. This is obviously carelessness.

Cute restaurant in downtown San Leandro. I came for the first time for brunch and the chilaquiles were 10/10, I asked to have them with chorizo and omg it was so delicious! They also have bottomless mimosas until 2 which is great! The service was okay, I went with a group of 7 and the waiter didn't check in too much, a friend had ordered desert and they never brought it to the table. They automatically add a 20% gratuity, so as a waitress you be very attentive.

My sister and I went during happy hour while it was empty and the service and food was awesome! Highly recommend the slushy. It was strong and yummy! We ordered everything off the happy hour menu when it came to the food except for the garlic fries. Food was phenomenal. Ambience is literally a tequila themed bar and grill. I loved the details down to the casa azul chandelier! Super clever. What a hidden gem!! Will be coming back

I've gone a couple times in the 4 years I've lived in San Leandro and honestly, it's a hit every time. I've gone once on an hour lunch break and a couples times on dates with my girlfriend. Each time the service has always been fabulous. Better than most restaurants in San Leandro. Never any miscommunication and the food is always wonderful. The asada was the only miss for me, unfortunately I can season my own steak at home significantly better. They should invest in better quality steak otherwise everything else was tasty. Especially if you like shrimp! Definitely try their camarones Louisiana. Also their buffalo wings are so good. We recently tried their flan and we order it every time now, and one to go. Good spot, great for after work date nights when you're both tired and don't want to cook. The margaritas are good too, the pineapple is the best.

The food was amazing!!!! Our server was Edwin & he was the best! Explained the menu very well & very patient!!! My favorite was the Louisiana shrimp & the margaritas!!! I will definitely come back. Very delicious food!!! Come & try it can't go wrong.

STopped in for late lunch early dinner on a weekday at 3 pm'ish. Happy Hour starts at 2 with food and beverage specials. Service was average to poor. I was long past finished with my leftover in a to go box (asked for when food arrived) and out of beverages and the server had not been by. Tostada base is really thick and hard, I prefer a thinner base. Chili relleno is a lot of outside egg mixture so I didn't really taste cheese. Food flavor is ok but had something slightly off, maybe the oils they use? Might think about trying little tacos, they are less expensive and I don't need the rice and beans, I have 3 meals of leftovers!

Loved my food I had crab and shrimp enchiladas with grilled vegetables on the side my drink was amazing the waiter was sweet she noticed I never been before and assisted me with my order it was clean and the music was great I love the oyster flights I would just say the need to upgrade the kids menu they gave my bby Dino nuggets from Walmart lol she was expecting full nuggets or at least strips

Picked up order at newly opened Dublin location. Ordered beet and goat cheese salad. Salad was covered in dressing with green soggy and soaked. Way to much dressing. Came with sliced apples but NO goat cheese. Beets tasted canned. Shrimp Diablo. Shrimp was waaay overcooked and hard. Refried beans had NO TASTE WHATSOEVER. Spanish rice was tasteless as well. Very subpar meal.

Overrated and expensive!! I've have been wanting to try this place out and hoping they were good because they have 2 of my favorite dishes, Queso Fundido Con Chorizo (Melted Jack Cheese w/ Chorizo) and Carne En Su Jugo (Chopped Steak in broth w/ Whole Beans). We ordered a Michelada with shrimp, a Tostada de Ceviche Mixto w/shrimp, fish and Octopus, and Fish Tacos. Michelada with shrimp was small, about maybe 8oz w/ 6 small shrimps for $17.95 way too much and wasn't that good. I could get a 16oz with 4 prawns from another restaurant in Hayward for less money. Tostada de Ceviche Mixto w/shrimp, Fish and Octopus was very sour. Not sure what that dark sasuce is for, never seen it on a ceviche plate before. Not worth the $16.95 price. Fish Tacos, looks like they use frozen fish, but the sauce was good. The only thing that was good is the Queso Fundido Con Chorizo (Melted Jack Cheese w/ Chorizo). I wont try this again.

This has become my go to spot when I want a sit-down, quick dining experience. They are clean, have friendly staff, and always very attentive. I mostly order the chicken fajitas which always come out sizzling hot. They could add just a bit more flavor to the chicken but nevertheless the fajitas always taste fresh. It is served with rice, refried beans, sour cream and guacamole. There is something a little off with the guacamole-like it never tastes like homemade guacamole. I don't eat dairy so I request no sour cream or dairy on anything and they do a great job fulfilling my request. . Also, they don't serve black beans so I typically will ask for double rice. The rice is really good!

I don't know if it was hype or what. But I'm going to have to say the tequila was good. The female bartender was on point the guy waiter on the other hand idk kind of had the lack of patience for a first time customer. (So much attitude) I did get the food Togo and only living five minutes away but when I got home my crispy tacos were cold. They asked me specifically what kind of sauce I wanted. (Said green) they gave me three red sauces....

I have lived in San Leandro since 2012 and finally tried this restaurant in the fall of 2023. I believe it has a new owner as of around 2020 and was remodeled then. It's very nice inside and not overly decorated with the Mexican theme. The ambience is inviting especially when you see it from driving by. That's what finally got us to try them. The drinks are very delicious and well presented. I love enchiladas so I always end up ordering them. At this restaurant I order the seafood enchiladas usually with the salsa verde, 1 is crab and 1 is grilled shrimp. And as you can see in my photo, it is also very nicely presented. The staff is very attentive. The dining area is very roomy and I find it not to be extremely loud when dining.

Sit at the bar and ask for Luis! Best customer ever! Really enjoyed it and will be back!

I went here with my dad a while back to get some good food and was thrilled with the experience. They are very efficient with their service and I felt very comfortable there start to finish. You also have the option to pay for your food with a QR code. Awesome place!

This place under new ownership now and I couldn't be happier. I swore I'd never come back here but I did and I'm glad I did. We shared the fried calamari and I had a fish taco and a shrimp taco. Everything was amazing, the calamari had parmesan and garlic on it and came with a delicious aioli. Tacos we the best tacos I've had in a while, on flour tortillas, the shrimp was grilled and absolutely delicious. You will have to try !

I highly recommend to try this place, they have amazing food and friendly customer service, I came here with my girlfriend and "Lalo" the bartender made us the best Tamarindo margaritas we ever had (I had margaritas before but never Tamarindo flavor tbh hehe) he suggested us to order the aguachile, omg 10/10 so delicious, so tasty I felt like if I was in Mexico next to the beach, he's service was beyond amazing, shout out to my man Lalo great bartender and the cooks, excellent, excellent place I'm definitely coming back when I'm around San Leandro.

Oh Yeah Sunday !!! My Baller On A Budget Approved Day Of Rest!!!! I wanted to try a new place out for dinner!!! So I rolled to Tequila Bar and Grill in my Urban Assault Whip . They have their own Parking Lot so I stashed my Whip there and locked it Down. I rolled in tc the Grill like a Boss and grabbed a Table. A Server brought a Menu and took my Drink Order. I perused the Menu and ordered Fried Calamari for an Appetizer!! I also Ordered Red Snapper for a Main Course it comes with Beans and Rice and a Garden Salad!!!! My Calamari came out first with 2 Dipping Sauces!!! It was very good and it was a good Sized Portion !!! Next Out was my Red Snapper, Rice, Beans and Salad!!! Again generous portions and a nice sized Red Snapper!! The Red Snapper was Cooked Perfectly !!! Light and Flaky!!!!! The Rice and Beans with the Corn Tortillas was off the Hook !!!! Salad was Fresh and Crispy!!! When my Server returned I ordered Flan for Dessert!!! She returned with my Flan It tasted like Nectar from the Gods !!! So Wonderful I Savored every Bite!!!! I paid by Credit Card like a Boss and left like a Boss!!! Gone with the Wind Fabulous!!!! For all the Above Reasons Tequila Bar and Grill Is A Baller On A Budget Approved Establishment!!!!

The service was really good & these were some of the BEST fish tacos I've ever had. Super flavorful and filling. Will be returning here again! My son got the kids taco with shredded beef and ate the majority of it which says a lot because he can be very picky at times and doesn't always eat much. The noise level wasn't an issue at all. Really enjoyed our visit here.

Everything was PERFECT I was actually at the Dublin location and the service was EXCELLENT!!! Enriquez was are server and bar tender I had the best margarita I have ever had it was called Blood orange. AND THE FISH WHERE EXCELLENT. My favorite place to go to now to have a good drink and meal.

This place is just down the street from us. We pass by the restaurant a lot and my boyfriend has mentioned a few times that he wants to go here. The restaurant is under new management. It's a cute little restaurant in the heart of San Leandro. Customer service was great. We were greeted when we walked in. And didn't wait long before a waitress approached our table with chips and salsa and shared their drink specials of the day. I ordered the combination fajita platter and it was delicious!! The combination fajita platter comes with steak, chicken and shrimp and vegetables and their servings are generous. My boyfriend ordered the camrones a la Diabla, which came with 8 pieces of sautéed shrimp, rice and beans and a side of salad. He said the flavor was good but wished it was spicier (he likes spicy things, whereas I don't). He also ordered a michelada with Modelo Negro. Note: They don't have blended drinks. Only on the rocks. I prefer my margaritas blended. Definitely will be coming back here!

One of my favorite places to eat. Everything has been so good Everytime I've gone. My favorite is to substitute regular meat for salmon in burritos, salads or nachos. Will cost extra of course but it's so so good and worth every penny. Grab a tequila flight while your at it

I went with 4 stars over 3 for this place!! There's a lot of Mexican restaurants in this area, and this is the best one in the area to me!! I remember when this place had a fire and burned down a few years ago, wasn't sure if it was gonna come back let alone have the same quality as before, but it definitely did!! Some of the best chips and salsa around, those chips are straight addicting, they don't even need salsa with them!! I've had the tostadas, burritos, quesadillas, and taco salads, all very tasty!! And the portions are very generous!! Great service here, the waitresses at the bar are very nice and friendly, kind of a homey feel they give you, well, at least to me. Easy parking in the back, a good eat in or take out place!!

NEW FAVORITE MEXICAN RESTAURANT FINALLY tried this place after seeing so many people tag them on IG. I tried this place after seeing they are under new ownership. I immediately loved the decor and how impeccably clean the restaurant was. The decor is modern and super cute! The servers and bartenders were kind and service was quick! I loved my skinny margarita and my mom enjoyed her raspberry margarita-- THEY WERE STRONG! We started with Guacamole which I absolutely loved and I am a guacamole snob. We loved the shrimp ceviche, fish taco and chicken taco. I love that we have a restaurant like this in San Leandro! Go support this amazing business!

We will not be back. You charge for the second basket of chips and salsa but you don't advise your customers of this prior to them asking for it. $5 for that little basket. Aside from that the size of the oysters are incredibly small. For $4.95 an oyster you'd expect a decent size. Disappointed.

I literally pass by this place so many time until my Director suggest we have lunch here. In my opinion (for someone who would travel near & far for yummy mexican food) when the chips and salsa are on hit... you know it's going to be great dining. The server was super nice & professional. I loved that he made some suggestions. Let me tell you... the Fresh Crab (yes, fresh cra) and sautéed quesadilla was EVERYTHING! I had it with the green sauce The re beans were sooo yummy and I would always pass on beans. But not these...soo tasty. Honestly, I didn't Yelp before visiting so if I would have seen the 3 stars.. I would have moved with hesitation to visit. I'm super happy with my choice! Try for yourself!
