Update: Went for lunch today and blown away!! First, you must try the Eloté. I have had Street Corn but this is unique and really delicious. See photo below. Also, the Enchiladas in Molé were excellent. They are made with Chicken but I asked for shredded Beef. So delicious! The bonus was the super delicious Agua Fresca Pineapple! I was posting up on my social media as I was eating because it was all just that good. What absolutely made my day was my server Tavia. What excellent service and I am so glad that I asked for her recommendation on an entree. Even the chips and salsa were good. Bravo team 👏🏽 Original review: After only one take out meal I can understand why people are raving about this wonderful place. Absolutely delicious. I am a Chef so I really respond to "quality" and these people know what they are doing. Had the 21 Burrito Shredded Beef and was blown away. It was delicious. Can't wait to go back and eat my way through the menu. Check out the Tequila bar too. Nice place.

Be cautious, the presentation of the food is appealing, but it does not match the taste. Everything was EXTREMELY bland. We should’ve left when we walked in and 4 servers are standing at a table directly in front of the door next to the host stand eating. Management allowing that is probably why it was dead here on a Friday night. We immediately were sat by the host. Our server Julia, told me they were out of sweet tea. No big deal. I got my water instead. We got the Street Corn and Chorizo Fundido appetizers. They looked great, until we tasted them. The street corn was probably the worst I’ve ever had. I’ve had quite a lot, it’s one of my favorite things. It came out on a steaming skillet for show, but was basically just cheese and mayo on it. I had to ask for more seasoning and it didn’t seem like there was any Cojita on it either. Very disappointing. After getting these, and being let down, we were wanting to order our meal. We had decided on the Molcajeta Del Mar, but were not able to order for an additional 10 minutes because our server was back at the table at the front door eating again. We made eye contact multiple times trying to subtly get her to come back so we could order, but she just kept eating and not coming to our table. Once she finally got our order, a food runner brought it out, and once again, first impression was that it was visually appealing. It was not tastefully appealing. It was very bland, as if everything was just boiled and no seasonings. Probably the first time I’ve decided not to eat my food at a Mexican restaurant. I LOVE food and for me to not eat really means it just flat out sucks. And to top everything off, one of the easiest items to make, my plantains, were way too overly dry. When we told our server that we weren’t fond of most of it, she didn’t try and reconcile it in any form. I’ve worked in a lot of restaurants, and at any single one of them, we always tried to make the customer leave happy. Whether it was remade food, a percentage off the bill, or at least the OFFER of either of those things. We were not given any sort of fix to our issue. Only reason I’m giving two stars is solely for the presentation. The place has potential, especially with the atmosphere, but as to our service, and our food, I would not recommend it to anybody.

This place!!! If I could -5 I would. We are visiting and decided to order food. We actually ordered from 2 places and quite a bit of food. I spent $50 on this place and quite honestly they should be lucky people spend with them. We ordered quesadillas and fries, chips and salsa, queso, and birria pizza. All the food including the other places food was just fine, but the birria pizza comes with a side of ants. I called this pathetic company to advise hey I had an issue and this is what it was. The pizza came with ants, immediately that pizza sat in the oven until the driver came, I interrupted and said no ma’am, the pizza was ice cold, but that is not my complaint, it is the ants. She gets even more huffy and says look when we send the food I can do anything about what the driver does. I said all the other food from your place was just fine, your story is not correct. I will be calling health department next with the photos and complaint. I hope they get shut down, they should not be serving people.

This place was wonderful all around. Service was amazing, and the food was great. The guacamole was made fresh and you can tell it’s authenticity. The birrias were perfect & the consomé with it was super tasty. The burrito was not overfilled with rice which iykyk, this is not the place for filler food, it’s all jammed packed with tons of flavor that will leave you wanting more. Food came out hot, even the kids chicken tenders and fries were good! Definitely recommend this place for any occasion. The drinks were equally as good which is always hard to match. This place needs another location in Orlando!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful late dinner at this restaurant last night! Luna, our server was kind and attentive. The chef brought the food outside soon as it was ready. The Elotes (street corn) was the best we've had, as it was served sizzling on cast iron.The Chicken Tortilla Soup and Chicken Mole' Enchiladas-DELICIOUS! Carmen,the owner was friendly and welcomed us back in the future! We will return soon!! I can't wait to try the Margaritas!

I love the taste of their food, but they never give me enough queso on Arroz Con pollo! I have complained about it twice now it makes it super dry. They want to charge for extra. I don't want extra, but I want enough for what food I have.

My husband and I have eaten here ever since we moved to Cocoa three years ago. Tonight, changed everything. I took my neighbor over for the first time and the food was good, but the $11 cheese dip was barely warm, we never got our fries and when I talked to the owner/manager, she was rude. Customer service means more to me than anything and her attitude means we won’t go back. The last time I ordered, as I was handed my bag, I was informed me that the rice I asked to have on the side, was actually IN the burrito. I’m very confused on how someone can knowingly hand me my order as they tell me it’s wrong. And the time before that, a new girl told me I had to pay extra to get the chips & salsa because they have fries. Clearly, they need to retrain on how not to lose business. Too bad because we did like the food. There’s too many Mexican restaurants to deal with bad service, especially from the owner.

I love Tacos and its usually my first search. Searching: I need Tacos... Nice upbeat location. Beautiful decor and stacking on tequila and vodka. Service was good. The food was probably the best spot we tried out here. The meat had alot of flavor and the salsas were good. I did enjoy my mix drink too. If you're visiting I think this place is a good spot.

Upon first entering the place, right away I notice it wasn't busy. So, automatically I think it must not be the best place to be. I sat down anyway. Our bartender was very friendly and caring. She asked me what I was drinking and it took a minute to decide and she offered many options. That right away is a great bartender. I ordered an Ultra and waited for my nachos to come. She was friendly while waiting, knowing they close in an hour. I love it when they act like no one bothers them. I'd be back in heart beat but sadly I live 3 hours away. Good job!!

Had lunch there today with a friend. I have been there before however it was over a year ago and I really enjoyed it. However today I was extremely disappointed in the food. We both ordered the fish tacos and I have to say there was hardly a scant piece of fish to be found in our tacos. What was there was dry and tasteless. Tacos were covered in lettuce to hide the so called fish. For $21 it was a complete waste of money and I will not return. Service was good however the place was run down and dirty. Vinyl booths were cracked and scratched my legs. Chips and salsa were minimal at best. I can honestly say with all the great Mexican restaurants in this area this place is heading down the drain.

Nice ambience for a strip mall restaurant. Plenty of vegetarian options. Came on a Sunday afternoon and didn't have to wait.

Wanted to try something new in our area, decided to try Tequila Veintiuno. We had taco salads for dinner, and asked for ranch dressing to go with our salads. We were charged $7.00 for the dressing!!!!! The salad was only $15 each and to charge us $7.00 on top of that for the dressing. Salad was good, until we got our bill. We will never go back there!!!

First time coming here , showed good reviews and looked really good, service was okay but the prices are crazy , they charge you for salsa, first place I ever went to and they charge you for chips and salsa and little cups of cheese and sour cream

Ate lunch there today and my friend and I ordered the fish tacos The fish was hard to find it was so minimal Place was run down and dirty I've eaten there before about one year ago however you can tell the place has gone downhill I was expecting the same quality I experienced the last time I was there I definitely will NOT return At $21 for shredded lettuce and a scant piece of fish with no flavor I will not be returning Too bad

Love this place! It's truly a hidden gem. The street tacos are my absolute go-to, and they never disappoint. Their chips and salsa are hands down the best I've had in the area--fresh, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. Right now, the festive holiday decorations make the atmosphere even more inviting and cozy. On top of the amazing food and ambiance, the staff are incredibly sweet and friendly, always making you feel welcome. I can't recommend this spot enough!

This is our go to restaurant for Taco Tuesday's! We've been ordering the Tex-Mex taco dinner, 3 hard shell tacos. The first time we did this, WOW! Presentation was amazing. The tacos looked great and tasted even better. This is the place to go in the Cocoa area.

It's always so good here! Very clean and great service too! We usually get the shrimp ceviche, the corn, queso, birria tacos and I forget what else but it's all very good. My favorite Mexican place in the area for sure.

Tequila Veinteuno, 2311 FL HWY 524 Cocoa, FL., 32926 1 Star According to my random name generator, I was heading up the coast to a little place on the northern part of the county, Tequila Veinteuno, in Cocoa, FL. While I always approach Mexican restaurants with some trepidation, you never know if you are getting authentic Mexican or American-influenced Tex-Mex or southwest cuisine. Once inside, I noticed the ceiling. It was rather festive, so my first thought was, "Oh, great. They are going for the stereotypical "fiesta" atmosphere of our neighbors to the South. This had me leaning toward "fake" Mexican fare. Once seated, my waiter came over and introduced himself as Gavyn. Gavyn struck me as being about as sharp as a marble, and I'll leave it at that. I did manage to get in an order for some Pastor Carne Asado street tacos and some Barbacoa el Mexicano. If you look at the pictures I snapped of my meal, it certainly looks like appetizing food. However, while many in public office are accused of peculating from the general fund, I can say unequivocally that this place is stealing from every place that serves food when it attempts to pass itself off as a restaurant. Microwaved meat. Let that sink in a moment--microwaved meat. I wonder why anyone would microwave food in a restaurant, as several alternatives exist. Microwaving makes all flesh flaccid, mushy and gross, with a layer of unappetizing slime on the meat. The flavoring was spot on and while everything was executed fine, if the meat is microwaved, it overrides everything else. Oh, and are refried beans supposed to be slightly orange-tinted? Asking for a friend... The Big Boy says, "Microwaved meat is not my style and the food here is horrid because of it. It's not on the swill level. If push came to shove, you could eat it and keep it down, but it is an abhorrent insult to Mexican food.

Good food. Nothing is cheap anymore but I'll go again. The decor is clean and nice.

I was in the area visiting my uncle and aunt and they both said their favorite Mexican restaurant was this one. They made an incredible recommendation. The salsa was the darkest color I've ever seen salsa before. The taste was mild but just seemed to have more depth to its flavor. It was a good in-between chunky and runny. I chose the Burrito 21 as my entree. This burrito was humongous! There were several meat choices which I like from a Mexican restaurant. I chose the carbitas. The carnitas was really seasoned well and pretty tender. I loved the burrito being chopped with queso and red burrito sauce. I don't like a lot of rice and beans in my burrito because some places they stuff as much rice and beans in a burrito and not much else. I asked the waitress to go light on the beans and they did exactly what I expected! Sweet tea was refreshingly sweet! Keto lovers would love this place as well since there is a lot of choices that don't include rice, beans, tortullas, and if only you can resist chips with the salsa. This is not your run-of-the-mill Mexican and it deserves a 5.

Some of the entrees are pretty good, and that's the highlight that redeems this establishment. The service is inconsistent and unpredictable and there is an often an obnoxious lady (manager/owner?) out front sometimes that can be quite rude. We once made a reservation for the family and when we arrived she pretty much called us liars until another junior hostess corrected her oversight and seated us. No apology. The margaritas and specialty drinks are also remarkably subpar. Not a place to seek out, but will still do in a pinch because it's close by and the food quality is usually above average.

Came here mid week. Seated quickly and order taken quickly too. Chips n salsa came out quick. Only complaint was the chips were not salted and seemed stale. Not a deal breaker tho- the rest of the food was hot fresh and really good. We will return.

Been here 3 times and ordered something different each time. Everything has been tasty and plentiful (even more so if you order the Molcajete which is HUGE for one person). The interior is vibrant and inviting. Simply put, this is not the crusty old Mexican restaurant that you're used to. The staff and owners are friendly and the food is quick to the table in our experience. They make some good margaritas and the Molcajete comes in two varieties. I've only had the meat one, not the seafood one. My only comment there is that I wish the cheese had been grated on top like others I've had, not a stick of cheese like mine had. When that cheese melts on the sides of the lava bowl? Delicious! Crispy and chewy cheese is the best! The birria tacos were perfect and not overly salty like some I've had in the past. Overall, we really like this place. We have about 3 Mexican restaurants we now have to rotate through after finding this place. It's a welcome addition with some good choices and atmosphere!

I visited Tequila Veintiuno on Friday with 20 friends. It's not easy getting them to all agree on anything but everyone was happy with the food, beverages, prices and service. Carmen and staff did not disappoint on providing a smooth delivery with a smile to a large party of boisterous friends celebrating a long anticipated retirement. The Keto Diva Margarita was just right for me and I'm particular about Margaritas. A true Margarita only has 3 or 4 ingredients and the Keto Diva with Tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and a bit of agave nectar checked all the boxes. I know there are mixed reviews for this restaurant but our group couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will certainly be back to Tequila Veintiuno!

We've came here a few times since we live in the area but we normally know them for good food and poor service. Tonight, we had a server named Genesis who completed changed that. She was incredibly prompt, kind, and the food was great. Super happy with this experience and I hope they keep her happy enough for her to stay! We ordered two margaritas, small queso, and two entrees. All together plus tip came out to just under $80.

Love this place. This is like the only place in Cocoa that stays open past 10p and still serves food, lol. They def tapped in to a market in the area that don't have too many good restaurants. Each time I've came we were seated right away. The chips always come out nice, crisp and hot. Salsa has great flavor and compliments the chips well. Ive has their Birria tacos which are amazing, the carne Asada street tacos , and elote street corn, sides of rice, beans and plantains. Everything I've had here has been great. This is def my late night hit and run spot.

Awesome enchiladas and taco meals. Quick friendly service. We stopped here as we are over night to pick up family for port Canaveral. Recommend this awesome little restaurant

I thought I had already left a review for this place, but definitely wanted to do so because it is fantastic. We were trying to find a place that was semi-centrally located for our friends who live in Orlando, Melbourne, and we live in the Daytona area and we came across this place. The owner was awesome and the staff were friendly, and when they found out, we were a group of college friends, who were kind of doing a little reunion, they surprised us with some complementary treats, which was a super-nice touch! Having lived in Texas, and been spoiled with Mexican food, I can say this place was fantastic and definitely a gem here in the Central Florida area!!

Really like this place. I thought it would be only a "mall-kind" little fast food and is actually a restaurant with full bar. I came for lunch. Food and service were great. Once I said I didn't want beans and rice my quesadillas the waitress offered fried plantains which I didn't even notice they had and I love it!!!

I tried them out based upon the 4.5-star average of the 44 reviews posted. These reviews must have been written by family and friends because my experience was not even close. I was seated immediately at lunchtime and after checking out the menu, I decided upon their "flagship" Burrito 21 with Shredded Chicken ($13). Free Chips and Salsa came out first, but they were boring and ordinary. When the Burrito arrived a few minutes later, it was HUGE. I tucked in and found a good amount of chicken inside. But the chicken, along with the other standard Burrito fillings, was tepid, bland and uninspired. The red sauce and cheese on top did nothing to boost the flavor. Meh, this lunchtime fiasco merely filled the void. I won't bother with a second visit due to the CHICKEN BONE I found inside my burrito. Yes, really! Service was friendly and efficient.

This was our 3rd visit at this restaurant. The last time we went was about a year ago and I can honestly say it doesn't seem like the same place. The service was okay; the server argued when we asked about the brown avocado on our bowl. The food was also not hot or even warm at all, the beans were dry, the cheese on top barely melted, salsa was bland, chips weren't hot... about everything that could have been wrong with the food really was. I ordered the Tequila 21 chicken which had good flavor but was again not even warm, it was about a 1/4 inch thick and the size of the palm of my hand. It was lunch but the menu advertised a half of a chicken breast. It was more like 1/4 of a chicken breast. Unfortunately, we will not go back.

I mean, I'm not an overly picky person when it comes to Mexican food. However, I know when it's a step up from the norm. This place had it tonight! I ordered the table guacamole (can't go wrong with fresh made table-side guac) and the shrimp tacos. Soooo good! My friend ordered black beans and got refried so we switched. A shame for her 'cause they were damn tasty! My Mom got the taco salad, and oddly, rejoiced at the low lettuce content! I suppose it was topping heavy. She ate it all. My friend, a vegetarian, got a veggie filled quesadilla. She thought it was under-seasoned. I guess that's what you get for being a vegetarian!

Awesome food, fast service and a really friendly weight staff. I had their taco Del Mar and the shrimp was super fresh and ample sizes. My partner had the taco salad with shredded chicken and it was equally good with plenty of quantity will be back. Nice prices too. Lucas was our server and he was attentive and friendly.

August 8, 2022 We came here for my wife's birthday dinner after only being in the area a few days. It was a Monday and the place was hoppin. When you walk in you get a modern Mexican feel with the decor. It has the typical Mexican restaurant dimmed lighting and is way bigger than it looks from the outside. We were promptly seated when we walked in and were greeted by the hostess. The restaurant was clean and well laid out. It was a tad noisy a good sign of people enjoying them selves. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant and had a view of the place. Our family loves guacamole and any time we have the chance to order it table side we do. The guac was made up of 2 avocados and all the add ins, jalapeños, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, lime, salt and pepper. In both my wife's and mines opinion the avocados were under ripe. It was still pretty good be definitely would have been better if the avocados were more ripe. My wife ordered chicken tacos and said they were pretty basic. I would say the same for the chicken enchiladas and the nachos. If your looking for decent Mexican food this would be your place. It's definitely Americanized in my opinion.

Excellent place! We have been here when they first opened and again the other night. Warm and fun environment. Friendly staff and amazing food. Their margaritas really hit home! We REALLY enjoyed this spot!

Recent Southern California transplant and finally found some "Good" Mexican food!!! I had the Carnitas and they were excellent!!! Beans were so so, but rice and guacamole were good. I WILL be back here!!

Tried them again. They have a new menu. Service was excellent and food was very good. Our server Zaire was excellent and checked on us often.

Ordered through door dash to deliver. Food came fresh, hot, & on time. It was easy to order through door dash however they do not have a web site.

Food was amazing it came out quick and perfectly as always...the only thing was service wasn't good our server was disrespectful and not managing of her customers I asked her something and she gave attitude. Our server Nevaeh we had her before and she did great but just change in attitude can make a big difference.After my experience I wouldn't want her as our server again.

If you haven't been to Tequila Ventiuno you better make your way there now!! My friend found this place recently and she brought me here one weekend. Ever since then, I think I've been there at least 5 times!! Inside is clean, the servers are attentive, and the food is DELICIOUS. Right when you sit down, someone brings free chips and salsa for you to munch on. I highly recommend the street corn and dessert nachos! I HAVE to get those every time I visit because they are that good. This place is a hidden gem and I can't recommend them enough. Go try this place out for yourself!

We had dinner here last week. The young lady who was waiting on us seemed to be new. That's not a problem, we have all been new on a job. Her problem was being cranky and new. She finally asked for our drink orders. I forget what I ordered first, but it was way too sweet. Switched to a margarita. Again, very sweet. It took many extra pieces of lime to cut the sweet.. I ordered the Chiles Rellenos. they were cold in the middle. I finally flagged her down, and asked her to have this reheated. They likely microwaved the entire plate, so she brought me back 2 sagged out Rellenos, topped with melted sour cream and other items on the plate. The only thing I can say at this point, is that it was hotter, but still not right. At this point, I was really getting pissed, but she did do what I asked. The plate was reheated - the execution was just not there. For a place who has '21' tequilas in it's name to have such lousy margaritas is unacceptable. This was our first and last visit. No mas.

Great food and outstanding service. This is THE go-to restaurant of any type in this area of Cocoa. Tonight's dinner was a Carnita Chimichanga which was bursting with flavor. Add to this a staff who really cares and it is a true winner of a restaurant.

Every single morsel of food was delicious including the chips and salsa. There are lots of specialty options that include tableside, guacamole and flaming chicken or steak. Don't underestimate this restaurant. Located in a shopping plaza! It is a truly wonderful experience.

Stopped by after hearing alot about this new Mexican restaurant. I hear they have alot of special steak offerings here similar to what you would find at finer restaurants in Mexico. Like many restaurants today the stress of labor is obvious. Our server was friendly and attentive but she was overwhelmed by tables, so of course we tried to be understanding. I ordered a special, cant remember the name but it was beef, chicken, shrimp, peppers, onions topped with avocado and cheese served in a piping hot large mortar. A mango margaritas on the rocks to wash it down. To be honest, the margaritas was just ok, nothing special really. The entree came in a reasonable amount of time which was surprising for the level of visible staff. It was HOT and delicious and very reminiscent of an expertly made alternative to fajitas. It also cane with a tasty side if rice and beans. For dessert I ordered the flank. It also came out pretty quickly. To be honest, it more closely represented the dense very Carmel flavor flan I make at home. Impressive!

Great food, great service, great timing! Perfect place to pop in for a quick meal, or enjoy dinner and drinks with friends. Decorated well, super clean, a large menu for both food and drinks. If we stop through Coco Beach again, we'll come back!

This place was amazing! It's in a strip mall. The inside is beautifully designed and there is plenty of seating. I went around lunch time and it wasn't super busy. The service was great - they let you customize your options with no irritation which is always nice. They brought tortilla chips and a mild salsa to the table. I didn't mind it as I don't like spice but someone I was eating with wanted a spicier one and they nicely brought one out. We participated in taco Tuesday so it was I think $7 for 3 tacos. I got one chicken and two ground beef. The ingredients were fresh, tacos were filled with just the right amount and there was little to no grease. The tacos came with lettuce and cheese on top. The tacos didn't come with sides due to the deal so I ordered a side of refried beans which were just as delicious. Go here if you're in the area. You won't regret your choice!!

I stumbled upon this, while house hunting. I met the owner and she was so sweet. I told her I had to come here since she had something I don't normally see in Virginia. Healthy tacos. It was late so I didn't want anything heavy. OMG! They were amazing!!! I got the chicken lettuce wraps!! Very fresh and tasty ingredients. I couldn't finish them. Salsa & chips was fresh and perfect. I cant wait to try the fresh ice cream next door!!! The people who wrote bad reviews are probably used to the Americanized Mexican w lots of cheese & lots of oil. I actually just ate Mexican for lunch down the road & it was nothing to write a review about.

We chose this place for a birthday lunch with colleagues today + I was very impressed. Food was delicious, staff was super friendly and attentive. We will be choosing this as our new "place" for all of our business lunch meetings!

Horrible experience. Not only did the owner slam a serving tray on the table behind us and yelled Jesus Christ but offered 15% off the bill but over charged on the margaritas to make it not 15 percent off. The staff looked scared the whole time and I do not blame them! This lady is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs! We got cut off from salsa and charged for spicy salsa. We waited a hour just for drinks! We had mold from the ice machine in our drinks. The owner had the hostess take her dog out to go to the bathroom outside. Absolutely insane!

My sister and I ordered the strawberry agua fresca with light ice and it had an awful chemical taste to it. I asked if they could switch it for the horchata and the manager came to ask what the problem was. She came to us very rudely and immediately it felt like she wanted a conflict, which is so strange because it really wasn't that big of an issue. I explained that it tasted chemical-like and she said "it's just strawberry and water" and I just responded that I didn't think it tasted right. She aggressively chucks the drink in the trash bin and I get back an horchata FULL with ice. Overall, not a good customer service experience. Maybe an off night, but not cool.

This was my first time trying this authentic Mexican restaurant and it was delicious! Only about a 40 minute drive from Orlando and it will be worth it! It's bigger inside than I thought it was going to be, which is I am sure great when it gets busy! There is a huge bar to sit at as well. We started with the guacamole which is made fresh and at the table side so you really get the whole experience! They have so many different margaritas to choose from-- frozen, regular, lots of flavors and even ones made fresh with lime juice and agave (that's what I had). They are pretty strong margaritas as well without even tasting it! They continually bring refills on chips and salsa, which is important! Their menu is HUGE so you will definitely be able to find something! My sister and I split the fajitas for two and let me tell you, the chicken was to die for! Freshly cooked, great texture and seasoning and I was excited we had leftovers so I could eat it the next day. The servers were very attentive and made sure everything was perfect! I will definitely take a trip back here soon!

Didn't like the food at all and the service was not great. I believe we had a new server so I will not blame the restaurant for the service but the food wasn't good.
