I celebrated my husband’s 30th Birthday a couple weeks ago in the 2nd Floor Venue. The attention, the food, the servers, the bartender, the drinks and the place were phenomenal! Special thanks to Diana for always answering the phone for my every question and catering to all our needs! Great party!

My recent event at Tequila 55 in Dover, New Jersey was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was inviting and the staff were incredibly attentive. The team serving us went above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless, making our gathering with colleagues and clients truly memorable. The food was exceptional, boasting a delightful array of flavors that left everyone raving. But what truly stole the show were the beverages, especially the tequila selection. Stopped in while I waited for my train. Server was very friendly, good music, relaxed atmosphere and excellent chips and salsas. The guacamole salsa and the spicy orange salsa were super flavorful and the chips were crisp and fresh. This place makes missing your train a lot less painful!

I’ve been meaning to leave a review forever! Lived in Dover for two years and this was always our go to spot. Can’t beat good food at great price! Their frozen Margaritas are delicious, and their tacos are made perfect every time! Enrique is a fantastic server, and has gone out of his way to make us feel like family over the last few years! Everyone at Tequila’s 55 goes above and beyond, they all take the time to get to know their customers and do everything with such care!

My family and I decided on a whim to give this restaurant a try. Wow! We were NOT disappointed! Everything was delicious. The staff person who took our order was kind, energetic, paid attention to detail and provided everything we ordered. The prices, which were surprisingly reasonable for the amount and deliciousness of the food, made our dining experience even more enjoyable. We had birria, quesadillas, steak tacos and a chicken torta. All yummy. I can't wait to go and have a sit-down dinner very soon! Thank you, Tequila 55! We'll be back. I highly recommend it!

My family eats here once a month- originally we were going to visit a different restaurant once a month but once we ate here we knew we found our spot. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is delightful, and the owner is incredibly sweet and friendly. It feels like coming home every month and each time we eat here it’s a better and better experience. I recommend this restaurant to everyone in my real life and thought I should give them a review online as well :)

We went for dinner and ordered Grilled New York Style Steak with Mexican Adobo Rub, Sauttéed mushroom and onions and Beef Tongue in Green Tomatillo Sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection, it was tender, a generous size. The tongue beef was totally delicious. as well as the Margarita. Chilo, the owner is very friendly and attentive, prices are great. We'll definitely come back!

The food was delicious, the service fantastic, and the atmosphere was very relaxing and comfy. 5 stars, definitely a place to go back to. Kids loved it and a family friendly place

Pretty decent Mexican fare with an awesome bar. They were having a party that day some the seating was a little messed up so we sat at the bar. My wife loved her margarita and our food was pretty decent (my burrito had an excessive amount of onions which I should have asked for none, but that's my mistake). The guy serving us at the bar (I am note sure if he is the owner) was super cool and constantly checked in on us while he was busy.

We threw our son's first birthday party here! My background is Korean so we did a traditional dohl but with the twist of Mexican food instead of Korean. the upstairs has been completely updated so it definitely goes with any type of decor. We were able to decorate the way we wanted. They had many options for table cloths and runners! The service was excellent! All the staff was helpful and on top of keeping the drinks coming for our guests. We also love that it's an all inclusive price! Thank you Diana and everyone At Tequilas for being part of our special day for our child's birthday!

Was steered here by Yelp for the 3rd best Ceviche around... they don't have Ceviche, Yelp gets zero stars. Place is great though, one of the best seafood soups I've ever had, lots of shrimp options.

I just had a graduation party for my daughter this past Sunday. The service was good and the crew was very attentive to my friends and family. I would recommend this place to anyone that is interested in having an event.

Tasty food, great service and reasonable pricing. Loved the margaritas and Tres leches for dessert Was delish.

My wife and I stopped in for a really nice dinner at Tequila 55 last night. The restaurant is right on Blackwell in Dover and has been there for 8 years. The food was excellent and prices were amazing! To start, you get a bowl of chips with 2 sauces. The red is extremely spicy, but good. The green was my favorite! We went with the guacamole appetizer. My wife is a much bigger fan of guacamole than me, she loved it and I even thought it was very good. We shared a plate of steak tacos. Little pieces of steak in a soft taco shell with wedges of lime...very light and outstanding! Two other things: Drinks were so good! My wife had a strawberry margarita and I had a margarita on the rocks. Delicious and they don't go light on the tequila! Dessert was a tres leches cake. Served in a big glass bowl, it was amazing! Lots of coconut and so creamy! A dessert I'll remember! This is another of one of the real authentic restaurants of Dover. The town is doing so much in making improvements. It's become a great spot to try new restaurants!

When you name your establishment after Tequila then you are ok by me. I Really like the food here it's Authentic Mexican that Never disappoints, The red sauce is spicy and the green sauce could rule the world if it wanted to. Tacos and Nachos are delicious and the rice and beans are as well. They make me fajitas that are 'off the hook' using very fresh ingredients that Rock. I Really Like to hang here and I can tell you that so do alot of people, especially in the evening it fills up. At Tequilas you'll have a Killer time - no doubt, the food and good times are abundant here. Yeah I'm gonna come back, I usually do. I'll probably be at the bar so stop by and say hello.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years and can't believe it's taken me this long to write a review. I always come here and get the tacos being that I think there the best in the Dover area! Although the tacos aren't listed on the menu, they have plenty of different meat options to chose from. Their nachos and ceviche are also my favorite appetizers and the perfect items to share with other people! The margaritas are cup in a big glass and are definitely on the stronger side. They definitely are not stingy with the amount of tequila they put in them. The owners usually work the bar & serve the tables themselves and are always super friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for quality tacos in the Dover area with great drinks at a super affordable price, I definitely recommend Tequila's 55!

The drinks at the restaurants were tasty and at a great price, I had both of the micheladas and can say that I enjoyed the salt and lime one the best. The service was pretty good and the chips were also a plus.

The food is amazing and always has been but finding out a time when they are open is close to impossible. their hours online are posted but never forest.

Place is weird. Chips and salsa were weird. Food was weird, staff was weird and incredibly slow, slow, slooooooow.

I finally came here for dinner on 1/22. After years of passing it by, I figured let's stop in for dinner. I got really bad food poisoning from their costillas (ribs). My fiance was fine from his food, but it just was not good and I got sick. I could tell they were critically under-staffed. No wiping down tables between customers. One waiter (also doubling as bar tender) and some table busser that didn't look quite right... I assume the kitchen was understaffed, too, and food was not being kept at the right temperature. The plates were even clearly dirty. I didn't feel comfortable here, especially during COVID. The margaritas were also made from a crappy bottled mix and iodized salt around the rim..............not what you want from a Mexican restaurant...

Every delectable bite I take of their genuine taco's is an immediate example as to why huge American chains like Taco Bell should not represent the cultural food in its natural excellency. I am confused. My taste buds bewildered. I witnessed a charming handsome tattoed man singlehandedly serve this full resturuant while only remaining slightly behind. Amazing. Come here. I've tried three of the taco spots on this steet, and this is the one I stayed with.

Ordered the flank steak and shrimp ($22) and received a fatty piece of London broil instead. Not sure how that happens other than the owners going to the butcher and ordering "any cheap meat you got back there?" Margaritas were weak too. Oh, and the napkins (paper) were the tiny ones they put under drinks. Guacamole was good, Salsa was way too hot but the chips were good. Brought us a free bottle of water as the Dover water isn't so hot. Nice touch. Won't return. Place looks more like a night club than a restaurant.

I've been coming here for taco Tuesday for years now. The tacos are great, the chips are always fresh. I always get carne Asada and it's very flavorful. Chilo is so nice and always hooks up the drinks.

Never eaten here but if you are looking for a nice bar to go to with friends or your significant other this place is the best. The best ambiance, strong drinks and good music. Its a must go to bar in the Dover area

My husband and I went to this place for a date night. We had the best time! The drinks were so delicious and smooth. The food was so yummy! Not to mention that everything was so reasonably priced. They played really great music and the atmosphere was awesome. It did take us a while to get our appetizers BUT our waiter was so nice and was really working hard running back and fourth to get all his tables what they needed. We will definitely be back!

Not sure why this place doesn't have more reviews...unless everyone wants to keep it a secret (which I can understand). I. Love. This. Place. Met for a drink and ended up eating here. I found it on yelp and we were both really happy with the discovery. We were so impressed with the food and service that we can't wait to come back (and bring other people with us). Flavors were outstanding (the steak was awesom...even though it was a little over cooked), and their tres leches cake was like a dream come true. Drinks were great...service was great...what more can I say!

I've been going here for years. There is no better place in Dover to go to hang out with friends. Cold beer, great margaritas and good tacos. They only do dinner service so come after 5:00 pm. The owner is usually behind the bar and treats everyone like family.

Nice little place durning the day it's a restaurant with great food. At night it's a night club good mix if you ask me.

Its ok.. Would have liked low sound on music and should have had food available. Its only drinks place with thick girls.

Crappy operation. nobody answers the phone. rings 15x then goes to a fax. i called several times to see how about seating for 3 people on a Saturday night - no answer. We go anyway cause we hear food is good; 2 of us from half hour a way, 1 from an hour away. We get there and guess what? PRIVATE PARTY going on. And no staff around to inquire about this. I had to ask a guest what the heck was going on and found out the party was going on until 10. No info on website AND NOBODY ANSWERS THE DAMN PHONE. WASTE OF TIME.

Best place for tacos in morris county!!! The atmosphere is nice and but the food is amazing!!! If you love Mexican food this is the place to go!

Wish they were open earlier.... Lunch time! Otherwise I'm in love with this place. Prices are great as well.
