Teri's Teriyaki

They have the 2 for for $13 special it goes for like 11 hours. Stopped here randomly. Nice no if h seating etc. We had the chicken teriyaki. Side options were nice and plentiful. We took it to go. Big piece of chicken. It's a lot up close. And they portion it nicely. Lots of food, saved some for the next day. This is good food on a budget, I'd come back.

Astoria just got a new go-to spot with Teri’s Teriyaki, serving healthy and flavorful Japanese-inspired bowls at affordable prices. Teri’s famous teriyaki sauce is made in-house, slow-cooked for eight hours with chicken bones, rice, soy sauce, and other secret ingredients. It adds a savory sweet flavor filled with umami to any of the amazing choices. Choose from grilled chicken, salmon, or tofu bowls with generous portions of rice and fresh veggies. Don’t miss their homemade drinks like the refreshing hibiscus lemonade or creamy matcha latte. With friendly service and budget-friendly prices, Teri’s Teriyaki is the perfect spot for a quick lunch or laid-back dinner.

This fast casual restaurant just opened this week. The space is nicely laid out with a small waiting area by the door, dining room area, small section for Japanese snacks and restaurant merch, and counter for ordering and displaying the food. The menu simply consists of rice/noodle bowl that can be customized with healthy grilled toppings and fried toppings. For the Pick your own bowl ($16.50), you choose a base (Jasmine Rice, mixed grain or ramen noodle), your protein (chicken, flank steak, grilled shrimp or cheesy tonkatsu) and toppings. The price also includes either a drink (Matcha Latte, Ginger Honey, Hibiscus Lemonade) or Miso soup. I got my rice bowl with Jasmine rice, grilled shrimp, eggplants, mushrooms, Brussel sprouts and topped with fried shallots. I also got fried gyoza, sweet potato fries, Kakiage and soft-shell crab. These sides were each $3.50. There was a bit of a wait since the protein is cooked to order. The base, toppings and fried sides were already made. Surprisingly, they did not add too much teriyaki sauce to the bowl. Only the shrimp which was grilled had the sauce. I think I’m more accustomed to the thick, cloyingly sweet teriyaki sauce that one gets at the food court mall. The one here is more light and subtle. It was kind of nice to be able to taste each topping without the heavy flavor of the teriyaki sauce. I really enjoyed the grilled mushrooms and eggplants. As for the fried sides, my favorite was the Kakiage which reminded me of a very crispy latke. It paired pretty well with the grill shrimp rice bowl. If I had to choose again, I would probably skip getting the gyoza, sweet potato fries and soft shell crab. The gyoza was not fresh and was probably sitting there a while. The soft shell crab was just okay and they only gave two small pieces for $3.50. Same for the sweet potato fries. I think there was only about 6 pieces and while it tasted good, it didn’t really go well with the rice bowl. Nevertheless, I thought the rice bowl was very good, albeit somewhat on the expensive side. My total came to about $30 before tax and tip. That’s because I went crazy and got the extra fried sides. Next time I visit, I want to spend some time checking out their Japanese snack section. I didn’t get any on this visit but am planning on trying them out next time.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax. I ordered Teriyaki chicken fillet, and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were well-balanced, and you could tell that high-quality ingredients were used. I also appreciated the variety on the menu; there’s something for everyone! What really stood out to me was the exceptional customer service. AJ went above and beyond to ensure that my visit was enjoyable. Their knowledge and passion for what they do truly made a difference. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for healthy fast food ,I can’t wait to return and try more of their offerings!

Talk about an elevated level of Chicken Teriyaki! I just tried it when it opened up recently. So happy to have a health-focused version of such an addictively good dish in Astoria. I was fortunate to speak with the owner too, and you can definitely tell they aim for flavor. The sauce is very similar to the ones I've had from other restaurants but you can tell it's a lighter tastier version. So good. Hope to swing by there again.

Their chicken bowl is very good. In addition they got some cheese on top. Got the chance to try their ginger tea. Very satisfying !!!

Food is decent, on par with other bowl places. Because the food is not being cooked on demand, some of it will not be hot. The thing that stood out the most however, is that they have promotional posters on the windows saying the steak bowl is $15.55 and includes a drink, but when I asked about whether the drink was included, the manager said no and that the poster was outdated. He said without the drink I would be charged $13.55 and adding a drink for two dollars gets me to the same $15.55. I said fine I don’t need a drink, but the cash register rang me up for $15.55 anyway. I find this to be a little unscrupulous especially in an environment of such high inflation when consumers are hurting. What is advertised should be honored. For this reason I will not be revisiting this establishment. Lastly they also charge a credit card fee of 4.5% because it is just about half the tax. Most credit card fees are under 3% with only AMEX charging over 4%. Moreover there was no discussion that if the bill was paid in cash this could be avoided.

Glad to see they are finally opened. This use to be the old tea spot that ran for a few years. I'm a big teriyaki fan and was looking forward to this new spot. It kinda reminds me of poke bowl on 30th but with a few twist. They are having a buy one get one free for the month of March which is very smart way to start building loyal customers. The place is really cool inside with loads of chips and sweets from Japan and merchandise from the store also. Dope For my bowl I had rice and chicken with a few of the choices for toppings. Came out to $15 which is not bad, they also have a few fried finger food at cheap prices to go along with your bowels if you like. The food was really good and very fresh and the service was excellent, Also there's a point system that gives you free food as you earn my kind of business. Will definitely be back to try the fish and other things in the menu. Healthy & Decent prices for fresh food. Can't beat that.

Absolutely amazing. Food was made lighting fast and everything was fresh and healthy. Staff was 5 stars and very friendly. Will be coming back again

Decided to check this new spot out tonight and it didn't disappoint. This is a new gem in the heart of Astoria. The food is fresh and msg free. Generous portions and healthy. Recommend
