I only eat halal, and the cashier was very friendly and helpful - she mentioned that only the chicken is halal here. I went with that, and the experience was good overall. The food was fresh and tasty, and the location is super convenient right across from LA Fitness. If you’re looking for a quick halal chicken protein fix, definitely check this place out! I do hope they consider making more items halal in the future, it would be great to have more options!

Delighted to have stopped by Teriyaki Madness for a yummy, balanced bowl. You can select from tofu, chicken, salmon, steak...and customize your rice or noodles, fried, white or brown rice or yakisoba noodles. The classic teriyaki chicken was smokey and tender, sweet with pillowy rice and fresh umami vegetables slightly wok tossed. It was delicious! The staff are friendly and welcoming, perfect for a quick healthy meal. Thank you kindly. Hope to return soon for another bowl, maybe chicken katsu with power bowl (all veggies) and an appetizer for edamame or egg roll. Make sure sure to sign up for points and special deals. They even offer catering and delivery

Tried it for the 1st time, and it was mid, nothing special ... not really worth going back for. The cooking and flavor was very elementary and basic.. it actually tasted like pre- cooked food that was simply reheated. It's very far from truly savory or delicious. I will not go back. If they want this to succeed, it has to be far far more appealing. I hope my tip here helps you succeed, because it has a lot of potential. The way it is now, it's just not being optimized for the best savoriness or deliciousness

I can understand why this is one of the fastest growing franchises. It is very affordable, fast serving time, and it tastes pretty darn good. Teriyaki sauce is very well made, good flavor. I am giving 4 stars, though, because I came here a few times since the opening, and I feel like the portions have reduced a bit. I ordered double protein and felt a little short. Double meat order was today, a picture of regular chicken teriyaki and orange chicken was a month ago. Plus, they really need to switch how they cut steak. Thinly sliced meat like this, very easy to over cook, becomes very chewy and rubbery. But everything else, especially chicken, is really juicy and tender. I highly recommend chicken teriyaki, but I did not really like steak or orange chicken. I also recommend getting the app, has a good reward system. Solid fast food franchise spot.

The Food Was Delicious. I Got The Mad Spicy Steak Bowl Yakisoba Style 😋 (Highly Recommended For My Spicy Lovers & Spicy Lovers Only) The Steak Was Flavorful And Texture Was Cooked To Perfection. My Partner Got The Chicken Spicy And He Loved It, I Tried His Chicken And It Was Sooo Good! I Highly Recommend Getting The Combo Meal To Try The Delicious Eggroll With The Signature Sauce (I Ended Getting An Extra On To Go) 10/10 The Energy Was Amazing And The Guy On The Register Was So Kind & Accommodating. 10/10 Join Their Mobile Rewards Program For Weekly Deals.

Google
First time trying Teriyaki Madness. Wow, so good! I had a reg size Chicken Teriyaki, with brown rice and all the stir fried veggies, and everything was so fresh and tasty! The chicken was grilled perfectly, so moist and tender, and there was such a generous portion of chicken and rice. And the owner was so friendly and welcoming. I am definitely coming back to try some of the other proteins!

Google
This place is great!!! My go to order is the Spicy Chicken teriyaki with fried rice. The food tastes fresh. I like the fact that you’re greeted with a smile, no hassle looking for parking as there’s a parking lot with plenty of spaces, and there’s options for people that want chicken or steak, you also get veggies! You should definitely give it a try.

I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality food that is served here at Teriyaki Madness. I was visiting neighboring store in the shopping plaza and was initially drawn by the smells of the grilled chicken teriyaki. I decided to try it out and as soon as I walked in all personnel were friendly and ready to take my order and also made suggestions. I did end up waiting about 15ish minutes for the food to come out, and it was well worth it. I can confirm with certainty that everything was prepared fresh, on the spot for my order, and there were no steps skipped in the process. I've read some of the other comments and will suggest for consumers to learn to appreciate that the preparation time takes a bit more than a traditional fast food restaurant, but in return you get a meal that has a flavor explosion in every bite and is satisfying! On the way out, not sure if he was the owner or manager, I was asked how the food was and I gave him feedback, reiterating that everything was excellent apart from the rice being a bit wet/overcooked, yet it still has plenty of flavor. He assured me that he will let the kitchen know. I will definitely go back at one point and hope that the high quality will still be there. I was pleasantly surprised by how this experience turned out, glad I went in.

Yelp
Yesterday, my friends and I walked in and I wanted to buy a regular bowl for only 10 dollars. My card declined as I only had 4 dollars left in my card. The nice woman at the register didn't judge me one bit, and I said I'll come again next time. My friends and I were only about 10 feet away from the store, when a lady came out and said that they have two complimentary bowls to give us for free. They gave us a Mad Spicy Steak Bowl with brown rice. The other bowl is a Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with brown rice. They gave us two extra Side of Teriyaki Sauce and forks and napkins. Customer service is a 100000/10, every worker is very kind, inside is very clean and smells amazing, and food was well done and freshly made. I am 100% coming back.

Yelp
First time coming to this location, but I have previously gone to Teriyaki Madness in the Vernon Hills location. This restaurant is more limited in space and is located in a large plaza so there is plenty of parking. We got the steak bowl with fried rice, and the salmon bowl with white rice, along with a side of the spicy orange chicken. Each bowl was filed to the brim. Plenty of rice, plenty of veggies, and plenty of protein. We ordered our order to go, and it took quite some time for the food to come out. We came by around 8:30pm on a Tuesday night, but they seemed to be serving a ton of food to this table outside and it prolonged our food order. Regardless the food came home piping hot and full of flavor. When I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back to try various other bowls.

Yelp
Wow! This place is outstanding. The food was delicious! I ordered the Teriyaki Steak, fried rice, and vegetables. It was so good. The steak was tender with nice flavor. The fried rice, delicious, it was moist with great flavors. The vegetables were very good as well. It was an absolutely delicious dish. I highly recommend this place. The man who was at the front taking my order was very nice, and explained how to order, he was vert pleasant. Great experience.

Yelp
This is my second review because this place deserves another one. I keep coming back for More this place is addicting. Freshly made and healthy ! Amazing customer service!

Yelp
I tried this place on a whim as I was looking for something quick, close, and reasonably healthy. My expectations were low (perhaps unfairly) as it is a strip mall-type chain. But Yelp reviews didn't lie. I was wrong! I loved everything I ordered... the spicy teriyaki chicken was tender, well caramelized from the proper ratio of sauce + Wok, and just the right amount of heat (I was worried- as my tolerance of spice is 'suburban white chick' at best). Portions were generous. The regular size was more than enough for me I also had a chicken egg roll which was crispy & yummy and a nice indulgence to my otherwise healthy dinner. I think in the future, I'll be ordering multiple meals at a time for work lunches all week.

Yelp
I have been coming here 1-2 times a month since it opened this year and it has been great. I usually order in advance on the app and it is ready when I pick it up. I have tried their chicken teriyaki, chicken breast, steak, salmon and chicken katsu. My favorites would be steak and chicken katsu. They do not skimp on their bowls. It is always full to the top no matter what you order. Instead of rice I substitute it for noodles which are delicious. I also ask for 50% less sauce as it can be too much. There are plenty of parking since it is located in a plaza. Dining in on the other hand is slim. I would not recommend coming with a big party.

Yelp
I had to work in the area so decided to check out this restaurant. I loved teriyaki! I liked it so much I went back the next day. The first time I ordered the spicy tofu. It was soo good! It had a nice kick to it. When I went back I ordered the salmon. I prefer the tofu more, it had more flavor. I received great customer service both times.

Yelp
04/02/24 - What an awesome add to the neighborhood. Teriyaki Madness is in the mall next to The Smash burger on Foster Ave. It's less than 1/2 mile from my house. I actually sampled their chicken teriyaki @ a Yelp event up in Lake Bluff @ Bernie's Book Bank. Teriyaki Madness has a store up in Gurnee, IL. The teriyaki comes in 3 different sizes, Junior, regular or large. I ordered the regular sized chicken teriyaki bowl & it was more than enough for me as I had a little bit of left overs to take home. They have different options like regular or spicy chicken, chicken breast teriyaki, steak teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, tofu teriyaki & chicken katsu. Wry good seasoning w Great options. They also have appetizers like edamame, egg rolls, chicken potstickers & crab Rangoon. I was very pleasantly surprised w/the grilled chicken teriyaki served over brown rice w/veggies like cabbage & broccoli. I really enjoyed my meal & scarfed it down. I will definitely be back to try some of their other items like the steak teriyaki or chicken katsu.

Yelp
My lovely wife and I heard about a Grand Opening special at Teriyaki Madness, so we decided to check it out for a couple of takeaway meals. Teriyaki Madness is a chain that is expanding in Chicagoland, and this location is one of the new restaurants at Edens Collection on Foster, near the always busy Seafood City complex. This weekend they were running a $6 special for a chicken teriyaki bowl (regularly priced at $10.49) including veggies and either white or brown rice. We went early on a Saturday evening (their second day of business?) and our food came out in mere minutes after we placed our orders. We each went with the brown rice in the chicken teriyaki bowl. The grilled chicken pieces were flavorfully sauced, and did not really need the extra cup of soy sauce. The veggies included broccoli, zucchini, and cabbage. Not sure if we would go to Teriyaki Madness specifically for the food here at regular prices, but for the introductory special price it was a good deal.

Yelp
I'd seen fliers for this place a few weeks back and since I needed a quick dinner on the way home, I decided why not? I mean, there's no way anyone could mess up chicken teriyaki, right? Anyway, I got there early evening and I was the only one inside. The place was small but clean. The person who took my order greeted me nicely, so this was already off to a good start for me. I ordered their signature chicken teriyaki bowl (I got large since I didn't eat lunch and I was pretty hungry) with a side of white rice and their veggie medley. At first I thought $14+ was a little pricey but whatever, I was starving and I really just wanted to get home and eat. I got my to go order in a couple of mins, no joke, so that was great! So, arrived home and immediately chowed down. They gave A LOT of chicken and rice; not exaggerating! I thought I could finish the whole thing but nope, I had leftovers to eat for lunch tmrw, yay! The chicken teriyaki was delicious and the flavor was solid. Nothing pretentious about it and was just straight tender chicken with good sauce. They gave a small container of extra teriyaki sauce so I used it to drizzle more on my chicken. The rice was nice and evenly cooked too (as an Asian, I'm particular about this) and the veggies were well seasoned and crisp. Every bite had a nice crunch to it. Overall, that $14+ large bowl was enough for two, imho so it's money well spent for me. If you're craving good ol' but delicious chicken teriyaki, I highly recommend this place. Next time, I'll try the spicy chicken.

Yelp
The service....... I pulled up, not realizing that there was a snafu with the order pick up. Anyway, the gentleman got my order ready in a short time and brought it out to me! Thank you... I'm sorry to say that I didn't think of asking for his name. The food was pretty good, too.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect with this but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food is! Unfortunately there's limited seating inside so we took our order to go. I wanted to try two proteins, so I got the spicy chicken and beef over rice made spicy. It comes with so much food! I actually had enough left for lunch, too. I appreciate that it comes with a decent amount of fresh veggies. I feel like I could've gone mad spicy, but the cashier said she preferred regular spicy level, so I thought I'd start with that, but I'm definitely going back for the mad spicy!

Yelp
I think I've been to one of these in the western suburbs--at any rate, it seemed familiar and piqued my interest when I saw that there was one in Mayfair. And it was an easy lunch/dinner to pick up so I was happy to give it a try! I stopped by shortly after their opening, I think (maybe within a week or so) and I think they were still getting their feet under them. The food was good, and I ordered online which made pickup pretty easy. There's not much seating, but it's great for take out, in my opinion.

Yelp
It's madness that I'm giving this place 5 stars, but this place exceeded my expectations. The food here is simply good and there's not much more to really say. I got the spicy chicken teriyaki with white rice. The nice thing is that you can pick your veggies which were cooked perfectly. The tables have more teriyaki sauce which I highly recommend adding. It's a mix between teriyaki and soy. They also have a pretty good combo where you can get a drink and app. The portion was huge! If there's any "downside", it's that you really can't eat at their location. There's like 12 seats so it's more carryout type of place. The bathroom also seemed a little smelly. It wasn't bad in the front, but it was a little off by the drink dispenser. Still, with a great staff and even greater food, I can see this is as a hidden gem of the area. I will be back (for carryout)

Yelp
This place is awesome! Super delicious! I love the concept! Choose your protein, base of rice, noodles, or veggies, and add veggies or broccoli, or no extras! The spicy teriyaki chicken was delicious!! Highly recommend!

Margarita R.

Yelp
The food is very good. My son is a very very picky eater, he's actually eating I had the junior chicken teriyaki bowl with vegetables and rice he's eating everything I was in shock. I so recommend this place And I'm going to order a second bowl to go
google avatar

Susan S.

Yelp
I tried them at a yelp event. It was delicious. My boyfriend's daughter-in-law said it was really good and I loved it really juicy not overpowering. It didn't even need the sauce. I had the chicken teriyaki. I also tried the spicy teriyaki that was OK but the chicken teriyaki is really good.
google avatar

Yelp
I got takeout from here tonight and it was great! I got a teriyaki tofu bowl and it was a big portion and the tofu tasted really good. It's definitely pretty casual and not super authentic Asian food but it is perfect for a takeout dinner.

Jason K.

Yelp
Got it for the first time on Grubhub this week, chicken teriyaki with noodles was fantastic.

Yelp
First trying Teriyaki Madness and let me tell you I wasn't disappointed. The place its centrally located on a small mall call edens collections near foster and cicero, also if you come northbound on I-94 and take exit 42 the restaurant will be right on that exit. Service was great very nice staff, but waiting time was VERY long, more than 20 min but I totally get it, they are all new so I know staff still learning. Now food wise I was actually very impress, I ordered a spicy chicken teriyaki and one regular plus eggrolls and it was very delicious and chicken taste like real chicken not synthetic. I wish them the best of luck and I hope the sell a lot on their new location.

Moon L.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. The prices seem high. The dining area was a bit dirty. I can understand if they were really busy but they weren't. Service was a slow but everything is made fresh from what I can see. I'll be back to try again.

Yelp
Food was exactly what we wanted. Quick delivery too! Had a craving for Kung pao noodles - Got spicy chicken with noodles - very close to the craving

Yelp
The food is really good. The grilled teriyari chicken is the best. Staff are friendly as well.

Yelp
The chicken teriyaki was delicious. Had it with the noodles instead of rice. Was first time here, food made fresh so be prepared to wait a few. Next time I'm placing order ahead. The girl at counter couldn't have been nicer. Food was delicious. Going back.

Yelp
Very good food and service. Definitely a healthier option for the area. Much needed. Decent amount of seating but it's not a huge place

Nic Z.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I decided to give Teriyaki Madness a try tonight for the first time. We quickly found out why this establishment goes by that name. I ordered the teriyaki steak with a side of noodles and she ordered the orange chicken on rice. The taste of the food wasn't horrible but definitely not something you'd write home about. However, about 20 minutes after getting it all down, my stomach started to seize. I then spent the next hour in cold sweats perched on top of the porcelain throne. As I was struggling through it in the bathroom, my girlfriend started to throw up her "chicken". I have no idea what we were served but it was more poison than food. Needless to say, we will never eat from here again and thank god for two bathroom apartments.
google avatar

Jade Liza T.

Yelp
The first time I ordered made me and my friends a loyalist. I love the yakisoba combination. Almost every week, we would order. The sauce and even without the mad sauce would make the food deliciouso. I have my fave, Teriyaki steak .. I'm looking forward to another order...
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and service and the cookies are the bomb the suave is so good that's why they give you a bottle of it on the table

Jonathan B.

Yelp
My wife and I walked into this place on our way to La Bagh woods and we were so happy we did. The menu is pretty simple; you choose a protein (chicken, steak, salmon, tofu, or katsu) and a base (rice, noodles, or veggies) and that's basically it. We both got our bowls "yaki style," which comes with the protein, noodles, and veggies all stir fried together with delicious teriyaki sauce. It was super tasty and fresh. The vibe is typical fast casual and it's located in a strip mall. It honestly felt pretty similar to a lot of Jimmy John's I've been inside. But the food is very affordable, especially for the quality. And everyone there was super friendly. We ate in the restaurant and the owner was there. We chatted for a bit and it just seemed like a labor of love (with maybe some grand ambitions down the line). I would definitely go back the next time I'm in the area!
google avatar

Richard T.

Yelp
Was going to Smashburger next door when I saw this restaurant for the first time. Got teriyaki salmon for my son; I got a large chicken katsu. I prefer pork katsu but it is not offered here. The chicken was good. Not pounded so thin that it dried out. Good portion for the price. My son said the salmon was fine, meaning not the best but decent. Will be back to try other offerings.

Michelle N.

Yelp
Delicious tender and juicy chicken and steak. Fantastic teriyaki flavor. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
Ordered via GrubHub a couple weeks ago for our first time. Food was good & it's a seemingly healthy fast dinner option when there's no time to cook. Ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl & the spicy teriyaki chicken bowl.

Ernie O.

Yelp
This is my first time trying it and it definitely won't be my last. My goodness was it delicious!! Everyone needs to give this restaurant a shot!

Wenxuan S.

Yelp
I initially waited 30 minutes only to find out they had given my order to someone else, and the man at the front desk kept assuring me it would be ready soon. However, they were very professional in handling the mistake, and the food was good.

Charlotte B.

Yelp
I found one dark hair in my plate and I thought it was mine at first because it was at the very top so I was like fine, but then I see a hair encrusted in the rice midway eating. I notified the manager and the lady at the front with blonde hair was very nice about it. It would have been so much better without the hair but yeah. CAPS OR HAIRNETS PLS!!

Alyssa A.

Yelp
Today was the second time I came ( 2 days in a row ). I can say that this will be my new go-to after the gym! I'm in love with their Teriyaki Salmon! Being a new business, it's important to consider being patient. I think it's worth the wait. I'd choose this place over Panda Express and regular Chinese spots!

Caroline L.

Yelp
Wish I live closer to this. On days I take my kid to north park village nature center, this is our go to lunch spot. Great value and great taste.

J E.

Yelp
My company got catering from this place and the general consensus was "one and done." Food arrived late and cold. The rice tasted like those microwave pouch rices and the beef was very tough. The orange chicken was just ok and the chicken egg roll was pretty tasteless.

Luke S.

Yelp
New local spot. Great food. Large portions and the chicken is very flavorful. Service is nice and friendly. Worth it and recommend giving it a try!

Sarah R.

Yelp
I tried it for the first time and the food was awesome. I will definitely be going back soon. It's a great healthy choice. I had the spicy chicken teriyaki with a chicken egg roll and it was very good. The owner was very friendly. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Chris B.

Yelp
First time trying and will definitely try again. It's just a little overpriced if I'm being honest but the food was good and plentiful and I love that they have edamame as an option instead of eggrolls. Definitely will be a repeat customer.

Daniela M.

Yelp
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! I was so excited hearing about this place because it is so close to my school. The food is absolutely amazing. The teriyaki sauce is literally mouth-watering. The service was great as well. I was checked on to make sure everything was good & I could hardly talk because my mouth was filled of goodness. This is a little hidden gem in the same parking lot as Target. I promise you do not wanna miss this!

Cindy M.

Yelp
It's super delicious!!!! The staff was so friendly. We had the chicken teriyaki. T chicken was so tender and juiced!! They have a lot of great options. Definitely coming back.
