Terminal Bar is a classic Denver spot that never disappoints. Located right inside Union Station, it has a historic, old-school vibe that feels both lively and laid-back at the same time. We were stopping by for drinks after exploring Union Station during the holidays.
The bar is spacious, the atmosphere is energetic without being overwhelming, and the bartenders are efficient and friendly. We were seated immediately without a wait. They have a great selection of beers, cocktails, and prices that feel fair for the location. We were seated in a booth in the bar area. The menu displays like a train station schedule above the bar area.
I am a mezcal fan and was pleased to see they had a variety of mezcal cocktails on the menu. I ordered the Old Money with Nia Common Ensambie Mezoal, La Gritona Reposado Tequila
St. Grorge Spiced Pear, Lemon, Honey. The cocktail had a great blend of smokiness from the mezcal and sweetness from the spiced pair.
Other people in my party ordered the Thyme Traveler with Whoatley Vodka, St. Elizebeth Allspice Dram Lemon. Apricot, Thyme, Sugar and Brixton Old Fashioned with Smith & Cross Rum, Fernet-Branca, Cinnamon, Sugar, Angostura Orange Bitters, Angostura Bitters
What really makes this place special is not only the uniquely crafted cocktails, but also the character, high ceilings, vintage charm, and that unmistakable Union Station energy. It feels iconic, not touristy.
If you're in downtown Denver and want a drink with personality and history, Terminal Bar is a great stop.
