The 19 Best Places To Eat In Reading Terminal Market - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Termini Brothers is one of the most famous bakeries in Philly, and rightfully so (since they make some of the best pastries, cakes, and cannolis in the city). The Reading Terminal Market location generally has a line of people who take their time deciding between a chocolate chip pound cake or a box of biscottis, but if you know what you want, you can call ahead and pick up your baked goods without waiting." - Candis Mclean, Alison Kessler

Google
The best place for cannoli. If I don't bring these home when I pass by I am in trouble. I also love the pecan bars, almond and chocolate croissants. In all honesty EVERYTHING is good

Xander Hughes

Google
Tried the fresh cannoli, they fill them fresh per order so they don't get soggy! Never had one before and it had the slightest cheese tang and was very smooth and creamy! Also got the tiramisu cake which is so light and fluffy and not terribly strong in flavor! The cheesecake is smooth!

Lauren S

Google
The cannoli had the perfect filling to shell ratio. The ricotta mixture was light and so so delicious. I know why this is a Philly staple.

Google
I can honestly say I loved termini bros for so many years But the One in the Reading terminal is starting to really drop the ball. This is a picture of the chocolate croissant I got last week. There is more chocolate in a Hershey’s kiss also the sfgoliatella was stale For spending so much money in that place every time you walk in, The quality has really taken a downward turn

Treat yourself with some Termini bros pastries when coming by the Reading Terminal Market, they are fresh and delicious and not overly sweet. They have a large variety of selections of pastries and treats that are good for any occasions. Reasonably priced, efficient service, hard working people, well organized process system & most importantly beautiful presentation of everything they baked. Definitely recommend @WineDinenVacay

Google
Amazing Italian confectionery. Got the limoncello and tiramisu. Tiramisu was so light and airy. The coffee flavor was great. The lemon limoncello had a nice sharpness. Both desserts were not too sweet and well balanced.

Google
We are in town visiting for a competition. I wanted to bring home some pastries for the family to enjoy. I bought some almond horns and sfogtiatella. The almond cookie was good but the sfogtiatelle was not edible. The cream was bland. But the main reason it wasn't edible is because the outer layer was hard as a rock. I couldn't eat it. I thought I was going to break my teeth. I definitely would stay away from those. Unless you want to lose a tooth.

I just love their lobster tail ,it is so so so good and the mouse cake is to die for over all amazing for desserts. The lady on the counter is so helpful and polite . Highly recommend.

Yelp
Staff was friendly and worked with me on a misunderstanding on my part. Food is prime quality like their name. The lemon cake had a slight lemon filling and a lemon drop on top. The taralli is made with lemon oil and is a bit different than a treat I normally would have. When I overheard other customers wanting this and saw "lemon", my mind told me that this is the right time for me to feel extra "sour". Products here are Not cheap. Because the service was top notch, I still must give 5 instead of 4 stars. If I was them, I would charge the prices they charge presently. I think I avoided this place for decades because there are so many options and "everyone" comes here. Sometimes I like looking for "the next big thing." Termini Bros is already a "big thing" in Philly and if you don't know that, you are a tourist!

Yelp
We came here to try the cannoli as that's what reviews said we needed to try. We ordered a chocolate chip cannoli. The cannoli is fresh and made to order. It was $6 dollars for one cannoli. The cream was smooth as silk and the shell was delicious as well.

Yelp
I was in the reading terminal market and I saw this bakery that I had heard so much about online and on Yelp. This bakery looked awesome so I had to try what everything told me they were famous for: The cannoli! What I liked is that they filled the cannoli fresh in front of you, and you can taste the freshness in every bite of the cannoli. I wish I had more time in Philly to try everything they had to offer!

Yelp
Tried this little gem in the Reading Terminal Market! It was so difficult to decide what to get, but I ended up getting this little chocolate mousse pastry and it was absolutely delicious. The mousse was SO creamy- it felt like I was eating a cloud!!- and it was sweet without being over powering. The cake was super moist. I just felt like everything in this was in a perfect ratio. I wish I could have tried more!

Yelp
I am so glad this location is around as I usually go to the South Philly one, whic his more of a shop, and not a booth. You should make the trip if you can. But in this instance, I was staying near Reading Terminal without a car so grabbed some items from here on the way to the airport. I got the cannolis as mentioned and they were $6 each. A steep price, but the size is pretty big and the quality is unmatched. They fill the shells infront of you and there are 3 fillings to choose from. A chocolate, a vanilla, and the traditional riccota with chocolate chips. I got 6 of the traditional and one each of the chocolate and vanilla. The traditional was by far the best and they put it in a nice box for my travels and a baggy of powdered sugar for me to apply each time I ate one. The service was super friendly as well.

Yelp
Termini Bros is an Italian Bakery located in Reading Terminal Market in Philly. There's a diverse variety of fresh pastries, cakes, and desserts to pick from. The freshly piped cannolis are a must try from here! The subtle cinnamon taste of the crunchy shell pairs well with the creamy mascarpone filling - it has a good ratio of chocolate chips to cream. The size is also good for price. The line moved quick and there's tables nearby to sit and eat.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service and friendly staff. So many delicious options to choose from. They are known for their cannoli and it doesn't disappoint. As a Brooklyn Italian, I approve!!

Yelp
Circled the market and found this spot after I had already bought a carrot cake from another bakery. So I came back on my last day to try something. I got a funfetti pastry and was happy with the whole experience. Line went quickly, the young woman helping me was quick, polite and on attentive. Something I love when buying sweets. $6 for this pastry and $6 for a almond horn (do not recommend-dry).

Yelp
Every desert looks delicious! As soon as we approached the counter we had an employee greet us and give us great background on the bakery and was knowledgeable on the menu. We ended up going with the cannolis. The filling was creamy and did not over power the chocolate chips. Although the shell was too hard for my liking. This shop is located inside the market and does a great job showing its history through their products and pictures. It shows a lot of history and family. Such a sweet smell in the air.
google avatar

Samantha D.

Yelp
Loved that they pipe the cannolis to order. The pastry cream could've been less grainy. I wanted it smoother and creamier. I enjoyed the slight citrus of the cream. The shell could've been crunchier. It was a little stiff. I appreciated that it wasn't too sweet. There is cinnamon that is in the dough of the shell. It's not an overwhelming amount. Could've used more chocolate chips.

Yelp
My hubby has a sweet tooth so we had to make a stop at Termini Bros Bakery before heading back to NY. Although the baked goods look mouth watering tasty the looks deceived us. I didn't care for desserts here.
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
They have a great spot in the terminal and high foot traffic. This was my second time stopping. Everything looks lovely. Everything I've gotten from here is completely lack luster. Today I got a lemon pound cake and a lemonchello pastry cake. The pound cake was dry and not the wonderful buttery texture or taste. The lemon icing had a good taste but it was hard. I got the cannoli last time. Meh. I appreciate the nostalgia of a place like this. But I can't recommend their goodies- especially when so many other options exist.
google avatar

Gina Marie S.

Yelp
IYKYK. Termini Brothers makes the best cannoli and sfogliatelle, hands down. There are plenty of additional Italian-style offerings to make your mouth water but, don't pass on the cannoli or sfogliatelle. Ever. Enter the market and instantly the aroma of Italian baked goods greets you. Oh, yes! Behind the long, confection-filled glass counter are several friendly workers standing ready to box up your delights. The aisle can easily become crowded. Not to worry, you won't wait long. When I'm local, I'll hit the market or the Packer Ave location. When I'm not, I have the 12-pack of cannoli shipped to me. The taste is unmistakable and the best! Hosting a special event, serve Termini's. Attending a special event, being Termini's to the host. Thank you to the Termini family who has brought smiles to so many in their 100+ years of baking tradition. Run, don't walk! Make a plan to try their delightful desserts ASAP!

Yelp
I love this place so much. Their scumetti is TEN OUT OF TEN so good - perfectly delicious, not too sweet, and I am pretty sure it's gluten and dairy free. Their pignoli cookies are fantastic, biscotti is swoonworthy, love it so much. The people working there are pretty fast, kind, and very efficient - even when it's super busy. I also appreciate that they have lists of the items that are gluten free. It's good I don't live closer or I'd want the scumetti 24/7. :)
google avatar

Yelp
Great variety of sweets! The pecan diamonds are delish! My husband and I tried to split an eclair but woo was it rich! We just couldn't finish it. Great staff, fast service, will definitely be back!
google avatar

Audrey W.

Yelp
Really delicious cannoli-- filled fresh so the shell was perfectly crispy. Ate it standing two steps away from the booth, and have no regrets -- other than maybe not getting two
google avatar

Geraldine U.

Yelp
I love stopping by here when I'm at Reading Terminal and craving something sweet. Their display is so hard to pass. They have such a variety of desserts/pastries. Their individual size cakes are my favorite. We've gotten the chocolate, lemon and tiramisu ones which are all delicious but the tiramisu was my favorite. The staff has always been so kind, quick and careful with preparing my order.
google avatar

Kimberly N.

Yelp
My friend's Italian and suggested for me to try an Italian rum cake. Picked this up at Termini's and thought it was pretty good! It got a tad bit too sweet at one point, but that's just because my taste buds are readjusting after a diet. I'm also not a fan of the flavor of the colored decorations/flowers on the white buttercream part.
google avatar

Chris S.

Yelp
Nice selection of deserts including fresh made to order cannolis! Take a number, stand in line, order your selections. Be happy! ....and it is all fat free (ha!)

Yelp
Yes, please!!! This bakery has a great selection of baked goods, but what stopped me in my tracks was the cannoli shells. Yes, I said shells. I saw the shells, but they didn't have filling. Well, that's because they are filled fresh when you order them. And boy, they were DELICIOUS. I'm a cannoli snob. Anywhere I have traveled in the U.S., when I see cannolis, I will buy one. Some are just ok. I'm really picky. These were FABULOUS! I loved it! I will be back again before I leave Philly this week to get another one. Or two. Ok, maybe three! Yes, they were THAT good. Servers were pleasant and gave us good service. Ambiance was nice, I mean who doesn't love a bakery case filled with baked goods?! Definitely stop here. If you don't like cannolis, there will be something for you. So Very Good!

Yelp
I've heard a lot about Termini Bros, and so was very excited to try it. Unfortunately, my high hopes were not met. Service was fast and efficient, but the cakes were hit-or-miss. Pina colada cake - this was great, and saved my opinion of the place! The cake had pleasant little coconut shavings in the sponge, which added a fun texture to the moist cake. The cake tasted almost lemony, which I really enjoyed, and it was so cute to look at! Tiramisu cake - this was disappointing. To start, I was looking forward to a classic tiramisu cake. However, about 90% of the cake was a mousse, which I initially thought was icing covering more cake. Unfortunately, the two very thin layers of sponge were overshadowed by the mousse, which didn't have any distinguishable flavor. There was none of the coffee or chocolate flavor we all associate with tiramisu, or anything like a lady finger / sponge layer.

Yelp
DELICIOUS CANNOLI The Termini Bros Bakery occupies a large well-maintained corner in the Reading Terminal Market food hall. Yummy looking pastries are displayed in clean glass cases. Neatly dressed staff filled our order for a box of freshly made cannoli. I've never seen this before - each cannoli shell was filled with a cream filling that was squeezed from a large pastry bag hanging from a hook. My friend who hails from New York City said this is the traditional way of filling cannoli. The cannoli were delicious with a thick rich filling. We stayed with the traditional flavor but there were different cannoli flavors as well as other Italian pastries and desserts.
google avatar

SD G.

Yelp
Great service, friendly staff. I ordered each flavor of cannolis which were filled at the time of the order. I also ordered Tiramisu. Delicious, both were probably the best we've had!
google avatar

Tamika B.

Yelp
Passed by Termini Bros in Reading Terminal and everything looked yummy. Tried their small, cute, layered cake with mousse, sweat cream, and sprinkles. This little treat was scrumptious! It tastes like a classic birthday cake! Would love to try some of their other treats too.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing and has something for everyone who has a sweet tooth. This place is in the Reading Terminal and if anyone who has been there, you have many choices. I had the Cannoli, you could choose between 3 different kinds. Their original that is a ricotta base with chocolate chips in it, you can get a chocolate one and another kind that I didn't notice. The cannoli shells are made that day and are empty until you order so they don't get soggy with the filling. When you order they go and fill up the shell with filling that is in pastry bags hanging from the ceiling. I got the original one. It was sweet and rich. You can taste the ricotta and it had bits of chocolate chips in it. The shell itself was crisp and you could tell it was made that day fresh. This cost $6 and it was worth it. It paired well with an espresso over ice that I got from another close by vendor. This is an nice treat to get after you demolish a big cheesesteak!

Di S.

Yelp
Favorite dessert is probably the chocolate mousse cake. The canolli is good but probably not worth standing in line for on Christmas.
google avatar

Dara R.

Yelp
Don't worry- the line goes quick. Grab a number from the center of the counter and look over your options. I've only had the mini cakes, because I'm not big on cream filled pastries, but they're delicious. I love the limoncello and carrot cake ones. The icing is lighter than the heavy buttercream style but very flavorful. I grab a few whenever I take out of town friends to checkout the market. It's one of the few stands I think is worth the hype.
google avatar

Jeannelle B.

Yelp
Reading Terminal Market is such a place for delicacies! I've never had any pastries from Termini Bros before yesterday but I'm going back! I got a chocolate mousse mini cake and was not disappointed. I told myself I wouldn't eat it all in one sitting. LIES! My review is a 4-star review because they were out of iced coffee and referred me to another place.
google avatar

Kiana M.

Yelp
5 star for their bomb a**, creamy, cannolis!!! Their ricotta cheese filling was rich and not too creamy. The chocolate chips and I believe I tasted pistachio were the perfect combination! Not too many pieces so you weren't overwhelmed with each bite. I found this place watching an episode of PHANTOM GOURMET (the Philly travel episode)... This recommendation did not disappoint!

Militant M.

Yelp
Love the cupcakes, pastries, scones, cookies and especially the pastries. Only one of few bakeries that will give you a box to put your goodies in. Very busy, but they take good care of you. When you visit it gives that old fashioned feeling of when my grandmother took me to their shop in South Philly.
google avatar

Katherine Y.

Yelp
If you are searching for cake or dessert in Philly, search no more! This place filled the cannolis only when you order them to keep them fresh. We also tried the cheesecake and tiramisu. The tiramisu send you straight to food utopia!! We loved it so much we ordered a second one to eat on the road. Highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Yelp
How can one not like Termini Bros! Located in Reading Terminal Market, I decided to get a light dessert. I love funfetti growing up so the fact that they had a funfetti cake stole my heart. I have had the cannoli before and it was amazing as well.
google avatar

Liyang S.

Yelp
I read my last review of this place in 2017 before writing this. Apparently I found their cannoli to be comparable to authetic cannoli I had in Greece. I'm happy to say they haven't changed much. The cannoli is still delicous, still just as good. What I forgot was how filling they are. Be sure to get one to share first; then you can decide if you want a second one.
google avatar

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
Asked the guys at Pearl's where to go for dessert and they noted that the cannolis here were hard to beat. Have to agree honestly. I don't normally go for a cannoli but I actually really really enjoyed this one! Knocking a star off for the price though. $6 is a bit crazy
google avatar

La-Kia K.

Yelp
So worth coming back to Philly for. We spotted this bakery our last visit but didn't get a chance to grab any goodies. But our trip last weekend for Mother's day, there was no way I was not going to leave without something. So I decided on 2 Red velvet, 1 tiramisu, 1 lemoncello, and 1 chocolate mousse cake. We gave one of the red velvet cakes to my godson's mother. She called me to say that was the best cake ever, and she even shared some with the baby. But those makez your mouth shout Hallejuah! I cannot wait to come back to Philly!!
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
The lemon blueberry muffin and mini chocolate cream cheese cake were good. Service was friendly. I am just going to say it. The cannoli was disgusting. It is time to take a trip to Boston to see what fresh cannoli cream tastes like because this was just wrong. I took a few bites and threw it in the trash. It tastes like chalky frosting. I have never had anything like this anywhere else and I could live on cannoli. Anyone who likes this hasn't had the real deal.
google avatar

Dante M.

Yelp
I have heard so many great things about Termini Bros as one of the go to spots in Reading Terminal Market, so when I brought my Italian Dad I knew exactly where we had to go! Termini Bros offer a wide variety of different pastries, but since it was still really early in the morning, we decided to split a cannoli. There cannolis were UNBELIEVABLE! Filled as soon as you order, they have a nice thick shell and then the most delicious filling with chocolate chips. I can definitely tell why Termini Bros is a go-to restaurant while you are at the Market, and hopefully I can be back soon to try a bunch more of there amazing looking pastries!
google avatar

Alyssa E.

Yelp
One bite of their cheesecake sent me to a world where no other cheesecake dare exists unless it's from Termini Bros. I didn't even visit this shop, my friend brought some to my place for a wine and cheese(cake) night, so can't speak to the line that everyone is referring to. I would wait upwards of an hour to have a bite of this cheesecake. It's light, fluffy, not too sweet, everything I could ever want in a cheesecake. I would take the trip down to Philly just to get this cake.
google avatar

Nancie M.

Yelp
The selection of bakery items are to cause your brain to think about longer than your visit. The Canoli is freshly made $5 a piece I highly recommend.
google avatar

Jordan W.

Yelp
Termini Bros stopped me dead in my tracks while visiting Reading Terminal Market. The bakery case was so chock full of the most delicious looking Italian treats, we had to partake. The diamond pecan square really caught my eye, and was incredibly chewy, nutty and delicious. The flaky pie crust at its bottom really rounded it out. We had to also sample their cheesecake, impossibly creamy, fluffy, and lightly flavored with vanilla, it made my dreams come true. Termini Bros is a must for lovers and admirers of absolutely perfect Italian sweets.
google avatar

Shardai G.

Yelp
Yum! I enjoyed the ricotta cannoli so much! I wish they had one closer because I am craving for another. Workers were very friendly. The other desserts looked amazing too! I need to try more cannolis to see how Termini Bros stacks up.
google avatar

Linda R.

Yelp
We were visiting Philly during COVID, and luckily Reading Market was considered an essentail business. Even with said, sadly, some places were still closed. Luckily Termini Brothers was open. My husband and I stopped by for a late breakfast. There was so such to choose from. My husband loves pastries. He got a wide assortment. I went with their cannoli. It was so good!! Also the person behind the counter was friendly and personable!!
google avatar

Lauren K.

Yelp
Termini is a great local bakery! I was at the Reading Terminal Market and was just looking for some great coffee and a cannoli to-go. When former Yelp CM Michelle C. recommended Termini Bros, it was an easy choice. Plus, they were keeping their line moving swiftly. The staff were helpful and cordial given how stressful the environment inside the Reading Terminal Market was. I watched them diffuse a difficult customer very politely and professionally. As I'm not from Philly, this said a lot to me as a visitor as to how they treat their customers (even the crappy ones) I brought two cannolis back to the hotel and they were devoured immediately. The cannoli was no frills but hit the spot nicely for a post-breakfast treat. They serve La Colombe coffee, which made me soooo happy, as I think this is some of my favorite coffee, period. If you're overwhelmed inside the Reading Terminal Market, Termini Bros is a safe bet to stop by!
google avatar

Nikita J.

Yelp
5 stars for the cannoli, which is one of the best I've had since my honeymoon in Italy 3 years ago!! Perfectly crisp shell, light but luscious ricotta filling -- just glorious. Hubby went the simple route and got a cupcake and I really appreciated that they didn't drown it in frosting; I always take that as a sign that they are confident in the quality of their actual cake and that holds true here. This is a moist cupcake with a fine crumb and the right amount Of sweetness and vanilla flavor. Perfect sweet treat while walking around Reading Terminal Market, if you are in the area grab a cannoli for sure!
google avatar

Ginger S.

Yelp
The biscotti and cookies are where it's at!!!! Do it do it get something Devine here! The service is always spot on and i have never had anything bad here! Always a delight and i love the cannolis. I always visit when I'm in Philly!

Yelp
There are two items that will keep me coming back to Termini Bros Bakery at Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia, PA. Their Cannolis are DELICIOUS!!!! Perfect balance of yummy Ricotta filling in a fresh crispy shell!! Best I've had outside of Boston! Their Pecan Diamond is so Sinfully Fantastic!! This bar shaped treat is packed with yummyness, and it is worth every single calorie!! Termini Bros is absolutely one of my "Must Visit" destinations at Reading Terminal Market. They should be yours as well!

Yelp
Y'all. Y-'-A-L-L. This bakery is so great. When you are at Reading Terminal Market, it is really hard to pick from all the tasty options for your sweet tooth. But make no mistake: You can't go wrong at Termini Bros Bakery. I went 3 days in a row. Whoops. They have basically all the sweet options you could want. My favorite was the Almond Horn. I did not know a dessert could be that awesome until I tried that horn shaped almond cookie dipped into chocolate with almond paste inside. OMG. And my second favorite was the Zwieback biscotti. I tried just one piece, and then I came back the next day to take a half pound home for my partner and me. It has cherries, walnuts, and vanilla. Are you reading this thinking biscotti is dry and boring and can only be eaten when dipper into a hot beverage? You are wrong. Try this immediately and experience what biscotti is supposed to taste like. The only "miss" I tried was the vanilla cupcake. The cake was tasty, but the icing was not my favorite. Lastly, the staff is wonderful and handles all the people at the market with skill. They also have great smelling coffee, and they fill cannoli when you order them. Termini Bros Bakery is a total gem. Don't miss it.

Yelp
Cheesesteak may be the first thing people think of when it comes to Philadelphia, but to me, it will always be Termini bros. The sweets here are so addictive and I've been a huge fan of their cannoli with ricotta cheese ever since I took my first bite. I can't get enough of the refreshing taste of their filling. The slight sweetness and creamy texture of the ricotta cheese pairs splendidly together with the airy crunchy outer shell that every bite is oh-so-fulfilling. I just had one today, but as I'm writing this review, my mouth is still watering. But you know what's even better than the pastries at Termini Bros? The kind and attentive staff there, of course. Everyone behind the counter at this bakery are so nice that I downright feel like a VIP every time I've gone there. I guess I fell in love with this bakery for its great crew of staff as well as their delectable baked goods!
