Absolutely outstanding catering experience. They prepared a beautiful holiday dinner for 30 people, and every dish was delicious and perfectly executed. The charcuterie spread, short ribs, rosemary truffle potatoes, and flourless chocolate cake were all huge hits. They were also a dream to work with — kind, responsive, and incredibly thoughtful about allergies and preferences. Everything was handled seamlessly, which made the entire event stress-free. Exceptional food, exceptional people. We’ll absolutely use them again and highly recommend them.

I was asked to plan a last minute holiday party and Terra Catering was able to squeeze us in for a drop off disposable order in 2 weeks. Jan was able to readjust our guest count a few times as the head count kept going up. Really appreciate their flexibility. After dinner, SO many of our guests were raving about the food being one of the best parts of the event. The black truffle oil they put on the potatoes smelled so good and all the proteins were so flavorful and juicy. Definitely will hire again if I plan another party.

Amazing service was received during our event. They showed up on very short notice, and took very good care of us! I would say extremely good care! The timing was perfect. Terra Catering came on time and everything was set up in advance and so the stress levels were at zero. Everyone enjoyed the food, the portion sizes were quite significant. We worked closely with Jan to accommodate various dietary restrictions and our fluctuating guest count. We really appreciated her flexibility, recommendations, and timely responses. She ensured that our food was setup before we arrived. The presentation was high quality! We also received a lot of positive feedback from our guests on the delicious food! The best decision to take on the services of Terra Catering for a small backyard party of 25. Stephanie was a pro, she came on time for set-up and very soon after food was ready. Indeed she was terrific, making every guest feel special with her service. Food quality was great and portions perfect. I would just add that putting food labels even by the main courses only would have avoided guests guessing which one it is. Also elevating the lanterns would have made the buffet table setting even lovelier and inviting. Thank you Terra Catering, this is my first and definitely not my last.

We set up catering for my father's celebration of life. From our initial consultation to creating the menu, updating the guest numbers and the actual event we were kept informed and communication was excellent. The day of the event the crew arrived early and set up a beautiful display and food station. They served the food and bussed tables keeping the area spotless. They cleaned up and packaged up the remaining food for us to enjoy later. We could not have asked for a better event to honor my Dad and Terra made it all possible. The planning, food, service and communication was excellent. Thank you from our family!

Our experience with them as the caterer for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah was nothing short of a disaster -- and the way they handled it (or rather, didn't) was appalling. We had major issues with both the service and overall professionalism, and I reached out multiple times asking for a conversation with the owner/chef. Not once did I receive a reply -- no call, no email, no acknowledgment of any kind. For a company I've supported for two decades, that kind of disregard is beyond insulting. Every other vendor from our event has followed up to ask how things went and to seek feedback. Terra? Silence. It's clear that the current staff and management simply don't care about their customers anymore. If you're reading this and considering hiring Terra -- don't be fooled by the old positive reviews. Those reflect a completely different era and a completely different team. The Terra that exists today is unrecognizable from the business it once was. I am in a position where I could refer them lots of business but now when anyone asks, my advice will be - AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. We hired them to cater a holiday dinner for 30 people (12/13/25) and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food was beautiful, thoughtfully prepared, and genuinely delicious -- the kind of meal people are still talking about. The artisanal cheese and charcuterie spread was stunning and disappeared quickly. The fall/winter buffet was a huge hit, especially the short ribs, rosemary truffle potatoes, holiday salad, and the baked brie. And the flourless chocolate cake? Perfection. Beyond the food, they were exceptional to work with. They were organized, responsive, and incredibly kind. Allergies and dietary preferences were handled seamlessly, which made hosting stress-free. It's rare to find a catering company that delivers both incredible food and such a great experience -- but they did. Highly recommend for any event where you want to impress your guests and actually enjoy the process.

Jan and Jeff did a wonderful job preparing, delivering and serving an amazing catered wedding dinner for my daughter and her new husband. The highlight of the meal was hanger steak served with a chimichurri sauce. The communication with Jan was professional and our expectations were met. My family and friends catered my baby shower at Terra last Sunday and it was a beautiful and delicious event. We had over 50 guests and they were all raving about the food (which is a big feat considering it was such a large group). not to mention, the servers were phenomenal. They were super sweet and attentive to all of our guests. The event went off without a hitch (or if there was one, we didn't know). The space was perfect. Thank you for helping to make my baby shower so special.

Delivered as promised. Jan was great to work with to get all information and ideas for our party. The delivery and set up was on time. The food was delicious and we received many compliments. We served a variety of appetizers for approx. 40 people. The pot stickers and bacon wrapped dates were a couple of favorites as well as the Mediterranean dips, oh and I can't forget the mushroom canape. Everything was very fresh and great quality. Mouth is watering again as I write the review and think about our party. We will use Terra again if the need arises.

We hired Terra Catering for our wedding in September & it was the best decision we made!! Our wedding was at The Thursday Club in Point Loma -- & Terra Catering was one of their 15 or so approved caterers. We signed for that venue & visited their open house to find a few of their vendors offering services and samplers for our special day. We met Megan that day and she was instantly a sweet & upbeat energy I wanted more of. We were only able to try their bao bun tacos at the open house so we linked with Megan (as well as a few other caterers) to schedule a time for a full tasting menu. We honestly intended on tasting most of them before deciding on a company, but we didn't need to. Terra catering was it. The tasting was honestly incredible. Megan set us up with a sweet deal - 50$ or so a person, and if we chose Terra as our caterer - then that amount we pay go towards the bill. If we don't chose Terra, all good only 50$ spent on a great dinner. It was a really awesome set up. My (fiancé at the time ;) ) and I show up and Megan sets us up with a beautiful table, cocktail and a tasting menu we can write on for any comments or questions and she let us enjoy dinner. We were honestly blown away by everything. Appetizers were beautiful and so tasty. Dinner salad was perfect (I'm a huge salad girl) - the main dishes were incredible. By the end of it we had literally zero comments or concerns. We did not need our pen. The only thing I wrote was "I want more of whatever meat sauce for my mashed potatoes !!!" So we booked Terra. More importantly, we booked Megan. She kept up with us every week about dead lines, what kind of silverware they offer, colors and options for tables and napkins etc. Everytime we spoke she was clear and sent me a copy to my email with our balance and all things in a cost breakdown to make things easy. Obsessed with her before the big day even began. Then the big day happened (09/18/23 !!) and I really can't imagine what the day would have been without her. Megan and her team absolutely crushed it. The tables looked exactly how I envisioned it and came out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. When we got to our sweetheart table, she already had all our appetizers (with extra sauce) at our table, water and everything perfectly ready to enjoy. We decided on appetizers: lamb chop, potato brie quesadilla, steak crostini, and ahi poke spoons and everything was outstanding. For dinner we chose oven roasted chicken and a steak with peppercorn sauce, garlic mash, broccoli and Brussel sprouts and we also did a dessert table of smaller bites that included a German chocolate cake, and 3 others (my requirement is as the chocolate cake ) -- everything was amazing. My guests could not stop talking about how amazing the food was and how fast they got everyone sat and fed. We did buffet style because that worked for us but they have options that best fit your style ! I truly can't recommend Terra enough and I don't think my day would have been nearly as beautiful without the team & Megan especially - thank you for all your hard work!! We will talk about this forever !! Oh ! And because a few of our guests didn't show up, we had some extras that were packed nicely in half pan tins for us to take home ! And because the food was SO good, we happily ate leftovers for 2 days LOL!! Any event we ever have - we will chose Terra. THANKS YOU GUYS !!

Everyone that attended our party raved about the food. I am not a big fish eater, but I have to say the fish was fantastic. Everyone with your company were exceptional. I would most definitely recommend your services to anyone.

One word: AMAZING! We hired Terra to cater our 10 year vow renewal & it did not disappoint. We even got to do a tasting before hand of our menu which definitely was a nice touch! The food was amazing, everyone raved about it. The meat was very tender & the tray passed appetizers were a huge hit! 10/10 recommend the bacon wrapped dates! The staff was very sweet as well, very attentive. Megan who handles everything will communicate with you until every last detail is exactly how you want it. She is beyond organized. Look no further, hire Terra for your event needs!

I am so incredibly late making this review, but Terra was absolutely phenomenal for our wedding at the San Diego Botanic Garden in September. They are a preferred vendor for the Garden, but they were by far the most personable and down to earth of all the recommendations. Terra is so incredibly customizable and they work so hard to make sure you are getting what you want and it's honestly for an almost unbelievable price. Everyone we worked with was so awesome, and the food is excellent! The catering went off without a single hitch. They were perfect!

We have used Terra catering for 2 company events in the last 7 months. Both of the events were on boats, so the menus had to be customized for that set up. Mathew was helpful, flexible, efficient and courteous. The quality and variety of their food is amazing. (The beef sliders were to die for.) The everything on time and beautifully presented (I am a stickler about that) They even had little cards describing the dish and beautiful bamboo serving utensils and plates. I highly recommend Terra Catering!

Terra catering did a wonderful job catering for my wedding. They worked with us on making the menu just like we wanted, the guests raved about the food, and the price was great! We loved collaborating with Megan and Chef Jeff. They made a new item for us, and we're very flexible throughout the whole planning process.

Megan and her team were wonderful! Megan was extremely organized and she was always ready to jump on a call if we had questions. She had great communication and made me feel confident leading up to my wedding. The food was incredible and impressed our guests! Terra Catering exceeded our every expectation with their delicious food and excellent, friendly, and quick communication. It's always a relief when a vendor is responsive and easy to work with. We chose Terra to cater our wedding due to positive reviews. Everything seemed great until the manager we had been working with quit and the new manager stepped in, after we had signed a contract. There were multiple surprise costs towards the end, bad advice, and lack of communication at critical times ( 2 weeks before the wedding). At the actual event they pulled off the food OK, but the bar was an embarrassment. We originally had planned to do the bar ourselves because their packages are not great, but in the end decided it was worth the convenience. That was a mistake. We had one simple drink we wanted to promote because it was our favorite ( something they could make in bulk easily) and let them know ahead of time this was the case. First they charged us $100 extra for grapefruit juice ( yes, their packages are so outdated the only mixers they have are soda), then they completely ran out of tequila in ONE hour. We had an average crowd - not crazy drinkers - I don't know what they were thinking while packing their inventory. Then one hour after that, they completely ran out of red wine. Our guests ended up driving to the liquor store to replenish. The staff blamed someone else for what happened, so we still shelled out proper gratuity which stung. I do not recommend this business.

The food speaks for itself, it was amazing! We sampled many of their appetizers and food and was never disappointed. Every guest loved their food. They also provided options for our vegan guest and they too were impressed. Their staff also did a great job and kept everything running smoothly from the cocktail hour, to the dinner, to the bar.

Terra just catered my 170 person wedding. Megan Farmer is head catering and made the proccess seamless and effortless. She was there the day of my wedding making sure everything ran smoothly. They provided, apps, 3 stations, water, coffee, and desserts. ALL of my guests RAVED about the food! Do NOT hesitate to book your next event with Terra! I recommend them to everyone!

While our wedding plans changed and we no longer needed a caterer for our event, Terra Catering was absolutely phenomenal during our early search for wedding catering. They were extremely responsive, flexible and kind- turning around quick proposals and even customizing their packages to fit our vision for an event. Events are stressful enough, so having such fantastic customer service from a caterer certainly makes a world of difference!

Everyone raved about the food at my May 20 wedding thanks to Terra Catering! Terra was one of the caterers recommended to me by my venue and wedding planner. In the middle of my tasting with Terra, it immediately became clear that I had to choose them as my wedding caterer. I literally did a happy dance when I tasted the local fish entree. Once I hired them, the whole team was a pleasure to work with, and I especially appreciated how my main contact Megan went above and beyond to be responsive to my inquiries and make sure my day was perfect. Megan and Terra also coordinated with my planner, venue, and Platinum Event Rentals to secure all my rentals for the event, which required a lot of extra effort. They also went out of their way to make sure they accommodated all of my guests' allergens, including preparing a special no sodium meal for one of my family members. On the day of the event, everything went off without a hitch and I received so many compliments about my food, with the 12 hour braised short rib being a particular favorite. I'm so glad I hired Terra as my wedding caterer!

Terra Catering was the BEST wedding caterer we could have asked for! From our initial tasting experience with Ashley and Jeff to our big day, everything was perfect. We loved our dinner because rather than having a buffet experience, they offered us elevated stations. This was mainly due to COVID, but it made for a special experience and presentation of the food in a more cost-effective manner. We had the following menu: maple glazed pork loin with mushroom ragout and sweet onion marmalade, roasted broccoli with lemon and parmesan, roasted Tuscan chicken and farro. Terra also supplied the desserts for our "dessert bar" and they were all fabulous. Ashley was very detailed and responsive and answered ALL of our phone calls and emails to ensure things were perfect. She was even there on our big night to hand deliver us our appetizers. We could not recommend them enough! Bonus- we plan to dine at their restaurant for our anniversaries to come! :)
