Terra Palencia

Amazingly good food, wine, service and value. We were traveling across northern Spain on a road trip and saw the Bib Gourmand rating stopped by for lunch, and were not disappointed. The fit us in even though we did not have a reservation. The restaurant was soon full with Spaniards - so clearly known regionally. We wanted light fare so our waiter suggested the daily menu. It started with an “amuse bouche” course which was delightful. For the main we had fish and steak tartar each. Both delicious. For desert the sorbet and cheese plate. The bill cane to per person: €24 euros for the daily menu and €2.40 for each glass of wine and €0.90 for the cortado. Highly recommended for value and the culinary experience.

The absolute best. Delicious, flavorful food and a true experience. Fantastic service all around. Fabulous wine. 10/10.

We had a wonderful dinner here. We chose the menu gastronomico a la carte and tried the local Rueda and a Ribera del Duero. The food was perfect but best of all was the service which was really friendly, relaxed and chatting was easy. Great value for money. Palencia is a great stop over for those taking the midday ferry from Santander to UK.

One of the best dining experiences I had in the past 8 years. Quality, quantity, attention to detail, timings, BOH and FOH professionalism. It was a 10/10 experience since the moment I walked in, even though I didn’t have a reservation. Hats off to Roberto Terradillos and his team. He was kind enough to come to the table and we had a nice 15 min talk about food and wine which is not usual lately coming from high rated chefs. Terra Palencia will definitely be part of the Michelin guide sooner than later. Gracias!

It is worth to visit Palencia just to have the pleasure to eat in this great restaurant. All what we have ordered was top class!!! BRAVO and THANK YOU !!!

Restaurant "TERRA PALENCIA" Wat een "top" restaurant!!!!! Wat een unieke beleving!!!!! Wij zijn heel vriendelijk onthaald en we voelen ons hier ook onmiddellijk thuis. De maître Carlos is super attent en heeft ons de ganse namiddag prima verzorgd. Dat voelt zo fijn als je steeds zo respectvol en vriendelijk behandeld wordt. We hebben gekozen voor het "Klassieke Menu" met een fles rode wijn erbij. We krijgen brood met speciale boter en een kruidige olijfolie. Een extra glaasje bubbels wordt ons ook nog aangeboden. We beginnen met een trio van lekkere amuses! Oh, zo lekker, om van te watertanden! Verder genieten we van: •Gepekeld Cervera-rundvlees , zure room, pijnboompitten en rode biet •Foie gras van Villamartín, ingelegde appel en gerookte forel •Judiones uit de regio met rode garnalen en lamspootjes •Op houtskool gegrilde Duroc varkenshaas met wortelen en anijs •Julieta… Dulce de leche, hazelnoot en mango Achteraf nog een lekkere koffie en ja, we kunnen het niet ontkennen ... we hebben ons hart hier verloren. Als we terug richting het zuiden rijden, komen we hier zeker en vast terug. Deze ervaring mag men zeker niet missen. Bij het buiten gaan maken we nog een foto van de Maître Carlos, wij en Chef Roberto! Een herinnering om te blijven koesteren! Een grote dankjewel aan Chef Roberto, Maître Carlos, de twee jonge dames en de jongeman die iedereen fantastisch laten genieten. Wij wensen jullie nog veel succes🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀!

Trato excelente. A mi señora que tiene muchisimas alergias la trataron de 10, la prepararon lo que podia comer. Nosotros tomamos el menu tradicional. Excelente de preparacion y sabores. Servicio de 10. Super recomendable

Nous avons pris le menu dégustation et le forfait découverte des vins. Tout est parfait : l'accueil, le service, la cuisine et les vins. La qualité des produits et leur préparation sont remarquables. J'ai été touché par le geste du chef qui m'a offert un gâteau d'anniversaire. Rien à envier aux grands restaurants français, nous ne pouvons que le recommander.
