"At the end of the long uphill road through the woods, there is Terra, a magical place in a fairy-tale landscape, where you can enjoy a romantic and refined atmosphere combining the tradition of wood with modern elements, such as the wine cellar suspended over the room. The patron Heinrich Schneider has become a great chef starting out from being self taught. Study and application, together with a great love for and attachment to the mountains, did the rest. The gastronomic experience is offered through a single organized tasting menu in which, with a good pace, you can enjoy little masterpieces of aesthetics and taste. The locally sourced beef is splendid: a double tasting based on braised meat with a glaze of garbanzo beans, stellaria and liquid gnocchi, potatoes and charcoal-grilled tenderloin with a glaze of spices, pimpernel oil and scorzonera. For the wines, you need only trust in the completeness of the list (alcohol-free wines too) and the enthusiastic expertise of Gisela, the chef's sister. Amazing hotel in Sarentino. Quiet, beautiful, and perfect to relax. Surrounded by nature and great to disconnect. The restaurant is the highlight with the nature-inspired menu that fits the whole atmosphere of the place. Staff is extremely polite and helpful. We will definitely come back.

Although I have been in several 1,2,3 Michelin stars restaurants, I have to say this one was the most fabulous and extraordinary experience. We chose the Menu "the Terra Nature Experience" with wine accompaniment, and stayed for the night. Gisela & Heinrich are great host, very friendly and really taking the right amount of time to make you feel great. The portions are very light, and each course is an amazing discovery.

This beautiful property is small and fairly remote. It is fairly new and modern but very much with a mountain theme. The dinners are amazing (Michelin 2*) whether you have the Terra Experience or the regular menu. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The spa is small but very quiet and comfortable. Good hiking trails are nearby, with several rifugios. The views are great from the restaurant and the large decks off the rooms.

A hidden gem in then mountain area where you can thoroughly enjoy the tranquility. We loved our room of chic design and with a terrace overlooking a piece of grassland. Room is spotless cleaned. Comfy bedding and good shower. We had a dinner in the Michelin restaurant which one shouldn't miss. Seamless check-in with a sparking wine (in fact any drinks you like) as a welcome drink. The management is very attentive and caring. It was my birthday the night we stayed in Terra. I received a piece of birthday cake next day at breakfast time. What a surprise (as I didn't mention anything when making reservation)! Thank you Terra for making my stay an unforgettable one!

It was indeed a memorable, once in a life time experience. It’s simply amazing, all the details that the staff has put in, their attentiveness, made our stay even more memorable. Shout out to the restaurant staff Antonio, he was super attentive and very knowledgeable with every ingredient in each dish. Thanks Terra for such an amazing stay!! Love the spa facilities!!!

We had dinner at Terra to celebrate my partner's birthday. Every dish is very well presented and the service is impeccable - but for some reason it feels something is lacking and though the dishes taste good there isn't a dish which I would remember for life (there's just not that "wow" flavour I was looking for). That said it's still a very good meal (esp the lemon bread is really refreshing).

The Terra - The Magic Place, is indeed magical. If you are looking for the perfect escape/indulgence, this is the place. First, you drive on a small road that climbs through the amazing alpine landscape; when you reach to Terra, you are at the top of the mountain. The place only contains a small number of rooms, which means you have all the privacy you want to look out at the outstanding mountain view of the Dolomites and stars at night. Then, of course, is dinner in the two stars Michelin restaurant – for three hours you will have one of the most unforgettable meals. The local wine selections that accompany the dishes are incredible. The next morning you must take the 3 hour hike to Omini di pietra – the Stone Men site – another magical place with stones likely from medieval period that provides a 360 degree panorama of the Dolomitic mountain peaks in South Tyrol. The combination of the secluded location, the restaurant, the wine, and the breathtaking panorama view of the Dolomites is memorable. We look forward to coming back!
