"As you follow the road from Sarentino up to an altitude of 1 622m, you slowly become aware of the extraordinary experience offered by Terra - The Magic Place. Immersed in a natural wooded setting of beech and fir, this restaurant boasts delightful views at every turn, with breathtaking vistas of the Dolomites once you reach the sunny Alpine pasture in which the restaurant is situated. This is where the Schneider family began their adventure back in 1940 when Grandfather Johann built his first mountain hut here – the early origins of this magical place. The cuisine is served on a single tasting menu featuring small, beautifully presented dishes, all served at a good pace. The local beef is excellent and served two ways: braised beef with a glaze of chickpeas, chickweed and liquid gnocchi, and potatoes, and charcoal-grilled tenderloin with a glaze of spices, pimpernel oil and black salsify. I had the pleasure of staying two nights at Terra— words will fail to adequately capture how spectacular of an experience this was, but I will try my best. The location is awe inspiring. The rooms and hotel are immaculately clean, comfortable, and well decorated. The spa is perfect after a long day of hiking. The staff is unbelievably professional and friendly. The wine pairings both nights paired beautifully. The food, both dinner and breakfast, more than showcased why they have two stars. At Terra, everything is as it should be and more.

Amazing hotel in Sarentino. Quiet, beautiful, and perfect to relax. Surrounded by nature and great to disconnect. The restaurant is the highlight with the nature-inspired menu that fits the whole atmosphere of the place. Staff is extremely polite and helpful. We will definitely come back.

We had dinner at Terra to celebrate my partner's birthday. Every dish is very well presented and the service is impeccable - but for some reason it feels something is lacking and though the dishes taste good there isn't a dish which I would remember for life (there's just not that "wow" flavour I was looking for). That said it's still a very good meal (esp the lemon bread is really refreshing).

However, the crown jewel of this hotel is undoubtedly its culinary experience. The 2-Michelin-star restaurant provided a dining adventure like no other, while the equally impressive breakfasts, lunches, and casual meals were prepared with the same exceptional quality and care. In comparison to renowned establishments like Aman and Four Seasons, this hotel not only stands its ground but shines in its unique charm and excellence. It's a true hidden gem, offering a magical and unparalleled experience at every turn. We're already planning our next visit to this extraordinary retreat.

A wonderful place to visit to be close to nature and if you enjoy hiking, as there are multiple trails just near by. The hotel is simple yet elegant and the owners as well as the rest of their team were friendly and very helpful. The highlight of our stay was dining in the restaurant where we experienced a cuisine that was magical in many ways. The presentation, the service, the chef and his team made every dish presented memorable flavours that tickles your taste buds. Would love to visit it again, we had a marvellous experience.

We interrupted our journey at the Hotel & Restaurant 'Terra - The Magic Place' for a two day Gourmet Dinner. As a couple we booked two double rooms (with Dolomites facing balcony) and got a great room, facing the mountain view - it was very spacious, tasteful interior and quite. The beds were excellent, as well as the bathrooms and we had very nice nights. The views from the restaurant are breath-taking. However some very small details will remind you, that the building was built in a different style. We had two Gourmet menus (2-star Michelin) and it was without a doubt two highlights. Very tasteful, creative and well presented. The service was matching the Gourmet standard and very knowledgeable. We would like to point out, that all menu courses were an out-standing composition and delicious. The Hotel & restaurant service was very helpful and friendly. We will be back to visit this great place in Tirol again.
